When you review SQ 755 it stated state courts should only use federal and state laws in court cases and not laws of other nations, including sharia law which is the ruling system of a number of Muslim countries:
This measure amends the State Constitution. It changes a section that deals with the courts of this state. It would amend Article 7, Section 1. It makes courts rely on federal and state law when deciding cases. It forbids courts from considering or using international law. It forbids courts from considering or using Sharia Law. International law is also known as the law of nations. It deals with the conduct of international organizations and independent nations, such as countries, states and tribes. It deals with their relationship with each other. It also deals with some of their relationships with persons. The law of nations is formed by the general assent of civilized nations. Sources of international law also include international agreements, as well as treaties. Sharia Law is Islamic law. It is based on two principal sources, the Koran and the teaching of Mohammed.

Does this target Islam, as Awad claims?
SQ 755, which passed by 71% of Oklahomans who voted, made it crystal clear Islamic law or other foreign laws could not be used in deciding cases in state courts. But, Awad said it targeted the religion of Islam and sharia which he said guides his practice of Islam. No, the law clarifies that foreign laws, including sharia law, can't be used in state courts to decide cases. Awad claims sharia (religious guidance) and sharia law (a ruling system that can include all aspects of governing) are the same thing, which they aren't. If a court were to determine there was no distinction between sharia (religious guidance) and sharia law that would be a big victory for Islamism, I would think. One part of sharia law is the Islamic system of handling family matters. It is possible a Muslim woman who agrees to arbitrate or settle something Islamically could result in a less favorable outcome for her if she had just used a standard court proceedings.
Furthermore, and this is very important, CAIR National is an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure in America. In a very telling and highly troubling document the Muslim Brotherhood leadership here and their operatives in America laid out national plans to destroy our democracy for Islamic supremacy. It was operational from 1991 until it was discovered in 2004. That's a lot of years to work on advancing their goals. Do you think those operatives just vanished into thin air? Ever since this seditious plan was outed and CAIR exposed the name calling towards their critics increased.
A former official of IAP (an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood) was one of CAIR's co-founders. This man, Omar Ahmed, was quoted in 1998 in the San Ramon Valley Herald newspaper that Islam wasn't to be equal to any other faith in America but to be dominate. Ahmad said the Quran should be the highest authority in our country. This means a sharia law ruling system. He was chairman of the Board of CAIR at the time. Download 398Ahmad. Another co-founder, Nihad Awad, is CAIR's national Executive Director and was also an official at the Muslim Brotherhood's IAP.
Muneer Awad was confronted about CAIR's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood in a radio interview on November 7th of last year and got so peeved he eventually hung-up. On May 29th of this year, Awad was interviewed by Bruce Prescott of Main Stream Baptist, a far-left religious blog in Oklahoma. Awad claimed the campaign to pass SQ 755 included robo calls that said sharia law would allow men to get away with rape. The robo call I got didn't come close to what Awad said:

Throughout the interview Awad said the law target sharia and Islam. But that's not what's in the amendment. Awad misleads.
Considering the background of CAIR, which sprang from the Muslim Brotherhood who wants sharia law to dominate America, you can see why it's impertive for CAIR via their representative Muneer Awad to stop Oklahoma state courts from excluding sharia law from court consideration
