Islam doesn't allow killing of "innocent people" Sheryl Siddiqui wrote in a commentary published in the Oklahoma Gazette on September 20th. Last year in another interview, Siddiqui claimed only God has the right to take life. I wonder if she would enlighten me and other misinformed and ignorant Okies just how The Atlas of Islamic Conquests, sold at Islamic bookstore in the U.S., fits in the context of her claim. I assume these Islamic battles for power involved fighting, which is messy and many people are often killed. Were these conquests islamically sanctioned or were they a stain that reflects badly on Islam's history? This book could be a useful resource about Islam's history of Islamism also referred to as political Islam and its belief in the relentless pursuit to spread Islam and gain power to enforce Islamic supremacy over a region or a country or an empire. Islamism dominated Islamic history. I've seen where lessons on caliphates were taught at Oklahoma mosques so they seem to be proud of this history of Islamic supremacy. More Americans should study how a long series of Islamic supremacist leaders, called caliphates, ruled over others.

A hearing is set for Monday at 10 AM before a judge appointed by Clinton about a legal attempt filed by the director of CAIR Oklahoma, Muneer Awad, to stop the Oklahoma Election Board from certifying the will of the people of Oklahoma after they passed SQ 755 by an overwhelming margin of 70% to ban state courts from considering Sharia and international law in the coming decades.

In an interview with Fox News yesterday, Razi Hashmi, the director of CAIR Oklahoma said efforts to ban Sharia law from ever being considered in Oklahoma courts was “really all about anti-Muslim bigotry.” However, Hashmi generally responds to troubling documentation about CAIR as the fault, hate or bigotry of others. So, this issue appears no different.

CAIR Oklahoma, the state chapter of CAIR, a national Islamic organization spun off from the Muslim Brotherhood Hamas infrastructure in America, has issued one of their typical press releases to criticize and try to meet with public officials who dare say anything they perceive as an insult to Islam or Muslims.

Today, I rang up the committee co-chair's office tand the lady I talked to confirmed HB 1645 was allowed to die within the committee for this session. The next session starts February 2010.
I wonder if pressure from national Islamic organizations stopped Oklahoma legislators from moving forward on this bill, which would have banned head-coverings in driver's license photo ID. Probably.
The way the law currently stands anyone can cover their hair as long as your hair line shows.

Oklahoma HB 1645 would ban all head-coverings for driver's license photos. It is currently assigned to the Transportation Committee in the Senate after being passed overwhelmingly in the House of Representatives.
As the law stands now anyone can wear a head-covering for their photo as long as your hairline is not covered up, including a baseball cap worn backwards.
I'm OK with the law because it puts us all on the same page. Likewise, HB 1645 also puts us all on the same page; no head-coverings, period. However, for security reasons, I can see the point to have one's hair exposed for this photo ID.
What I really have a major problem with is that three national Islamic organizations, CAIR, the Islamic Society of North American and the Islamic Circle of North America, have stuck their noses into Oklahoma legislative business and issued a call to action to Muslims across the nation to flood this committee with phone calls and e-mails. See here, here and here.
CAIR also created a form letter with the ACLU for Oklahomans to use to try to defeat this bill and they have written U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
In addition to these national organizations, the UK's Islamic Human Right's Commission (IHRC) has joined the effort by posting the alert issued by the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund. IHRC is an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations! Sikhism is not Islam so I don't understand why the IHRC picked it up. Personally, I've never seen a Sikh is Oklahoma, but that's neither here or there.
Two of the three national Islamic organizations, the Islamic Society of North America and CAIR were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial. The Islamic Circle of North America is just as controversial (see below).
Oklahomans should take great offense that these Islamic organizations are interfering in Oklahoma legislative affairs.
So in my own small to counter the efforts of these very controversial organizations, I will put out out an "Action Alert" early next week calling for national help to support the bill with all the information you will need.

Here's another example of overt maneuvering from CAIR, an Islamic organization started by the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, to stop actions by Oklahoma legislators who want to makes changes in our state law based on strictly security needs. The proposed laws prohibit anyone from putting anything to cover one's hair from a driver's license photo. CAIR took their cause to the Department of Justice:
"A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today asked Attorney GeneralEric Holder to determine whether proposed legislation in Minnesota and Oklahoma prohibiting religiously-mandated head scarves, or hijab, in driver's license photographs would violate the Constitution. The
Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said that, if passed into law, both bills would infringe on the First Amendment rights of Muslims, Jews, Sikhs and members of other faiths who wear religious head coverings.
This is an excellent example how the left and Islamists can partner.

A young Muslim woman in Oklahoma recently had her picture taken with her hijab after first being told she had to remove it by the Norman Tag Agency, which she refused to do.
In an article about this yesterday, we learned all Oklahomans can wear a head covering for their picture as long as your face is shown!
"According to the Public Safety Department, a head covering is permitted when taking the driver’s license photo as long as it does not obstruct or obscure a full front view of a person’s face from hairline to chin."
They didn't clarify if the head covering is only for religious purposes, either. According to a research document I found at Moritz School of Law made by CAIR, an Islamic organization which is an ougrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America (sic), the policy in Oklahoma states the following:
Oklahoma Policy
Source: Commissioner Bob A. Ricks. Memo: Driver License Photographs February 21, 2003.: “A head covering will be permitted, if the head covering does not: (1) obscure or obstruct a full view of the face, (2) display any: (a) logo, (b) insignia, symbol, or regalia, (c) word or words, (d) letter, number, or character, or any combination thereof, or (e) graphic design, other than the overall pattern of the fabric or material, or (3) cast a shadow onto the face of the person.”
I called the Department of Public Safety and verified this is accurate although he said the covering needed to be all one color but I would imagine a pattern of some sort would be allowed. I specifically asked if one wore a baseball cap backwards would that be acceptable and he said as long as the hairline is visible (which it is not in the photo of the lady with the hijab).
I say we cover all our hair with a cap or a scarf for our next DL renewal and then let's see how fast the law is changed!
Video: CAIR didn't waste any time to post their victory by using a News 9 video on CAIR TV at YouTube. The Islamic Ummah will be quite pleased. Assisting the young Muslim woman is Hamas shill Razi Hashmi the local representative of CAIR Oklahoma. News 9 states the exception for head-coverings is only for religious reasons which is inaccurate.

I first noticed what may be a new CAIR tactic to try to silence American elected officias, who support Israel, when Hamas shill, Razi Hashmi, the local representative for CAIR in Oklahoma, suggested U.S. Representative Mary Fallin should be neutral in her support for Israel and then again when he tried to claim most Oklahomans are concerned about the tax dollars spent to support Israel, which is a blatantly false statement.
Yesterday, CAIR national met with New York's mayor Michael Bloomberg to chastise him in a polite way for his uncritical support for Israel. How, Bloomberg kept his cool knowing this Islamic group is more aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas mindset is beyond me.
CAIR, do you seriously think we are stupid enough to fall for your dishonest tactics?

KRMG in Tulsa is reporting the Oklahoma chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations, an Islamic organization that grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, arranged for a Muslim woman to retake her driver's license photo at the Norman Tag Agency wearing a head-scarf which, by the way, is not mandated at all in the Quran, that I can find.
Am I correct to assume if a Muslim woman in a full burka (burqa, burkha) with only her eyes visible shows up for her driver's license picture, it will also be allowed?
So, then if any woman of any faith who wants to cover her head or face with a prayer veil for her driver license photo this isn't going to be a problem, either, right?
Do you think the diversity training the Norman Tag Agency is going to get will be giving by CAIR? Why it was just a few short days ago we learned the FBI broke off their contact with CAIR due to their unindicted co-conspirator status in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial where millions of dollars were funneled to the terrorist organization, Hamas.

Encyclopedia of Islam and the Muslim World (2003), p.721, New York: Macmillan Reference USA :
The term hijab or veil is not used in the Qur'an to refer to an article of clothing for women or men, rather it refers to a spatial curtain that divides or provides privacy. The Qur'an instructs the male believers (Muslims) to talk to wives of Muhammad behind a hijab. This hijab was the responsibility of the men and not the wives of Muhammad. However, in later Muslim societies this instruction, specific to the wives of Muhammad, was generalized, leading to the segregation of the Muslim men and women. The modesty in Qur'an concerns both men's and women's gaze, gait, garments, and genitalia. The clothing for women involves khumūr over the necklines and jilbab (cloaks) in public so that they may be identified and not harmed. Guidelines for covering of the entire body except for the hands, the feet, and the face, are found in texts of fiqh and hadith that are developed later.
