A press released posted on CAIR Oklahoma's website on Monday makes it official they are looking for a new director. I guess Razi Hashmi got tired of dodging the press about the troubling facts that haunt CAIR which he did six times, that I know. This happened around the same time CAIR Board Chair, Michael Aziz Gipson, was charged with conspiracy regarding mortgage fraud last week.
In an interview with Fox News yesterday, Razi Hashmi, the director of CAIR Oklahoma said efforts to ban Sharia law from ever being considered in Oklahoma courts was “really all about anti-Muslim bigotry.” However, Hashmi generally responds to troubling documentation about CAIR as the fault, hate or bigotry of others. So, this issue appears no different.
It looks like the Oklahoma City anti-Israel rally last Friday was a dud. But look, there's Razai Hashmi, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma, front and center.
CAIR was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood’s“Palestine Committee” and is listed by the government as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the Holy Land Foundation trial.
As most of us know, Hamas violently overthrew the Fatah government in Gaza in 2007 and was formed by the Palestinian wing of Muslim Brotherhood at the beginning of the First Intifada. Its express goal is to destroy Israel(Hamas Covenant Yale Law School).for Islam which makes their fight a religious one to gain superiority over the area that once was under the control of Islamic supremacist rulers
Last year, Hashmi organized and sponsored another anti-Israel rally where anti-Israel signs shouted Israel is thereal terrorists! In two NewsOK articles, the allegiance of most of those who attended seemed to have been to the "Hamas rulers." On January 5, 2009, the day of the rally reporter, Michael McNutt wrote, Oklahoma protesters call for end to fighting in Gaza:
More than 200 people, most of them Islamic- Americans, demonstrated peacefully today outside the state Capitol asking state and national leaders to press Israel for a cease-fire against the Gaza Strip's Hamas rulers...
America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s "illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip’s Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday.
During a radio interview last November Hashmi told Dr. Bruce Prescott he lived in Pakistan for a while and attended the American University there. But, he does not tell you this on his bio pageon CAIR Oklahoma's website, Odd.
Hey, did I mention Hamas has refused to allow aid on the flotilla to even enter Gaza?
Razi Hashmi, the local head CAIR;s chapter in Oklahoma (started by the Islamic Supremacist Muslim Brotherhood (sic)), posted an article by loonwatch, a so-called anti-Islamophobic website that Islamists reference when it suits them to help ridicule those who are concerned about Islamism.
First, look at the title. Jihad is not even a Christian term so its use here was laughable.
The screen shot above shows part of the article he copied and pasted claiming it's only right-wing nut jobs who wrongly imagine there are efforts to promote Islamic supremacy in the U.S.
On really? Surely, I don't have to remind Hashmi that one of the founders of the organization he works for said, in print, that Islam should be the highest authority in America. Or that Hizb ut Tahrir America openly promotes sharia law and a return to the caliphate. Or, that there's another website which calls for Islamic rule here (screen shot below) whose list of accomplishments include one yet undetermined "Prepare for militant take over if necessary-- Unknown."
And what is worse, these are just a few examples how Islamic supremacists are working here.
So, all of this is just the delusional fantasies of right-wing nuts?
These lame attempts to ridicule others for something that is true only helps to strengthen activists against Islamism.
Razi Hashmi, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma spoke at a “Immigration in the Heartland” conference at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. The event was co-sponsored by the Institute for Justice and Journalism and the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
After, the conference CAIR Oklahoma issued a press release stating, in part:
"..CAIR-OK Executive Director Razi Hashmi spoke in a session on Muslim Immigration and the scrutiny that Muslim foreign-born immigrants have faced since 9/11. Mohamed Elibiary, President and CEO of the Freedom and Justice Foundation also spoke during this session.
“If we continue down the path we are going now, we will turn away some of the best and brightest minds and they will end up going somewhere else, leaving us at a disadvantage in competing in a global economy. Our community is proof positive of the success stories and contributions that Muslims have made to our great nation. We have an obligation to continue that promise of hope and prosperity,” said CAIR-OK Executive Director Razi Hashmi...
Razi Hashmi, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma has been giving six opportunities to address troubling facts about CAIR. Since November, he has either bragged about CAIR (OETA interview), called other liars here (Newson6) and here (interview) or distanced (OU Daily) CAIR Oklahoma from CAIR,or refused to answer questions (News9) or claimed critics are misinformed (Edmond Sun).
Hashmi's darts are all over the place.
In U.S. vs. SabriBenkahla CN 07-4778 on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th District on page 58, footnoted at the bottom, it's clear what the concern is about CAIR: From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to support terrorists and used deception to do so!
Former state representative Kevin Calvey, James Lankford, Johnny Roy, Mike Thompson, and Rick Flanigan are vying to win the Republican spot in the 5th District Congressional primary for the seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Mary Fallen. Clark Duffe is the Independent candidate. No Democrat has announced.
Today, after reading a new article about CAIR in the Edmond Sun by Mark Schlachtenhaufen it became abundantly clear most of these candidates don't know what the heck they are talking about regarding an organization that is the outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America! I write this because it is very important to point out the only candidate in this congressional race who did his homework about CAIR is Kevin Calvey.
Oklahomans Against CAIR Hate, a newly formed group of concerned Oklahomans who educate others about the troubling history of the Council of American Islamic Relations or CAIR, were interviewed (video) Friday night by Oklahoma City News9 after a recent, but former, CAIR board member Nabil Sadoun was officially deported after he already had left or fled the country. The judge made it clear he had lied about his ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.
But, CAIR leaders refuse to talk about it. Their communication director, Ibrahim Hooper, called these Oklahomans "bigots" after they publicly expressed their concerns. Does he seriously think that hurling the "B" word at others works to their advantage?
screen shot of video by Muskogee Political of Gaza rally 1/5/09 organized by Razi Hashmi, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma
CAIR Oklahoma sponsorship of a so-called "peace rally" in January 2009 bothers me a lot and now, before their annual banquet in March which features an anti-Israeli speaker, it's a good time to revisit it. I believe when you look at the visuals of the rally, the statements made by Razi Hashmi, the director of the Oklahoma chapter of CAIR, an organization ID'd as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial, the rally was, in part, a front for supporting Hamas.
First, take a look at the screen shot above of a video taken by Muskogee Political. See the strong anti-Israel messages? Most Oklahomans are Christians and our allegiance to Israel is deep within our Biblical text and is unbreakable. So, to deliberately offend the majority of Oklahomans was foolish to do.
In two NewsOK articles about the rally, the allegiance to the "Hamas rulers" seemed unmistakable. On January 5, 2009, the day of the rally reporter, Michael McNutt wrote, Oklahoma protesters call for end to fighting in Gaza:
More than 200 people, most of them Islamic- Americans, demonstrated peacefully today outside the state Capitol asking state and national leaders to press Israel for a cease-fire against the Gaza Strip's Hamas rulers...
America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s "illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip’s Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday.
No mention was made by Hashmi that Israel was defending itself against Hamas rockets and live to this day in fear of rocket attacks by a group that has vowed their destruction which they have in writing in their Hamas Charter.
You can watch the videos of the protest again here and here (taken by Muskogee Political). Only one sign at the rally was removed and that was the one of the swastika over the Israeli symbol but the man carrying that sign can been seen leading the chant in the 2nd video (midway through) without the sign. This photo was taken by Okie Campaign. No other anti-Israel signs were removed.
During this time, Hashmi had the gall to put words in our mouths by claiming he thought Oklahomans are concerned about our support of Israel, which is simply inaccurate:
Hashmi, an Edmond resident, said the U.S. government has not made it a secret that they support Israel. He said he thinks Oklahomans are concerned that taxpayers’ money is helping fund weapons for Israel, which are being used to attack the Gaza Strip...
When U.S. Rep. Mary Fallen spoke out against Hamas, a designated foreign terrorist organization. Hashmi said she should be neutral. Let's just remember the Gaza Strip was violently over-thrown by Hamas in 2007 and embedded themselves among the civilians. Any retaliation against Hamas would, by default, involve civilians but that doesn't seem to bother Razi Hashmi, in the least.
CAIR, is an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America. The Muslim Brotherhood is a religious supremacist global organization whose branch in Palestine started Hamas with the express goal to destroy Israel for Islam. It's important to remind everyone that Palestine was a territory of the Islamic Ottoman hegemony. Now, Islamists want Israel under the control of the Islamic world as it was under the Ottoman caliphate and is part of their goals to create a new caliphate.
Lastly, Palestine has been offered statehood twice. First, it was proposed in the U.N. Partition Plan in Resolution 181 on November 29, 1947. Israel accepted it and the Arab world did not. Then, a United Nation General Assembly resolution was adopted "acknowledging the proclamation of the State of Palestine by the Palestine National Council on the 15th of November 1988.
But most people don't know these facts. Furthermore, the two governments within Palestine don't even get along.
On or about January 22, 2010, Razi Hashmi the Director of the chapter of CAIR in Oklahoma was interviewed on OETA. He was asked a question about the reputation of CAIR's national headquarters in Washington, D.C. Hashmi bragged how highly credible and reputable CAIR was (see video clip below). The newscaster did a poor job of follow-through since there are volumes of damaging documents about CAIR from which he could have continued the questioning. CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial and named in U.S. vs. Benkahla as founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood who conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists.(page 58 at the bottom). The FBI severed ties with them and several congresssional members have called for an investigation. It has been reported CAIR National hasn't filed their taxes since 2006. Furthermore, CAIR withdrew a lawsuit after they failed to provide information about their financial backers (CAIR vs. Andrew Whitehead). A lawsuit by CAIR Canada was also withdrawn.
Following a public protest organized by Oklahomans Against CAIR Hate on the 23rd of January at the University of Oklahoma Hashmi distance himself from CAIR and said we are the Oklahoma Chapter of CAIR. In a News 6 interview he said the evidence is a bunch of lies that have been fueled by the Internet. And when he was asked by Dr. Bruce Prescott about specifics of the lies made against CAIR, Hashmi generalized that whole problem was caused by the extreme right wing.
So, on four recent occasions, Razi Hashmi has skirted the truth about CAIR.
Dr, Bruce Prescott heads Mainstream Baptists which is located in Norman, Oklahoma. He has a weekly radio show on the Internet and last November he interviewed Razi Hashmi, the Director of the CAIR chapter in Oklahoma shortly after the Ft. Hood shooting. Hashmi read a statement from CAIR National about the attack during the interview.
There is one two minute segment in the roughly 20-25 minute interview I found disturbing (see audio/video below). First, Dr. Prescott said how important it is for us to do our own research to be sure we have accurate facts. Unfortunately, I don't believe he practices what he preaches - which should become apparent. Listen to Hashmi label CAIR critics as extreme right-wing fringe groups who fear monger with lies. But Hashmi was asked for specifics about their lies. Hashmi never answered the question. Yet, Dr. Prescott bite into Hashmi's generalization hook, line and sinker.
Anti-CAIR, headed by Andrew Whitehead, is the group Prescott referred to prior to Hashmi's response. He could have been speaking in general terms about CAIR critics, but I don't think so.
For those of you who don't know, CAIR sued Anti-CAIR in 2004 and then dismissed their suit with prejudice during crucial discovery requests by Whitehead's counsel that sought details on CAIR’s finances, its relationship to Hamas, and its ties to Saudi Arabia and other Islamic radicals.
Today, it 's like the suit was never filed! CAIR can't file a lawsuit against Anti-CAIR again over the issues they claimed libeled them. Andrew Whitehead reports the "terms of the settlement are confidential. However, no apology was issued, no retraction or corrections made, and the statements that triggered CAIR’s suit remain on the ACAIR website." One of the statements that brought the suit stated: "Let there be no doubt that CAIR is a terrorist supporting front organization that is partially funded by terrorists, and that CAIR wishes nothing more than the implementation of Sharia law in America.”
If this is wholly inaccurate why did CAIR dismiss the lawsuit? There are more legal details here which I encourage others to read, especially Dr. Prescott. CAIR National buckled when it came to releasing their financial backers, it appears. And, now it has come to light they haven't filed their taxes since 2006! I also sent Dr. Prescott a personal note about my concerns.
I encourage Dr. Prescott, Rashi Hashmi or anyone else to let me know if I ever write anything that is not factually accurate so I can correct it. I can make mistakes for I am only human but be sure to include a proof source to back up your claim.
In this interview segment Hashmi also said people shouldn't necessarily assimilate in America!
It was pretty obvious, after a protest was held by Oklahomans Against CAIR Hate last Saturday night, that CAIR's Oklahoma director, Razi Hashmi, was on the defense. He actually tried to distance himself from the organization he works for by stating "we are the Oklahoma chapter of CAIR”.
A group of concerned Oklahoma citizens formed Oklahomans Against CAIR Hate last week to inform the public about CAIR and their local chapter in Oklahoma. The video below is Oklahoma City's News 9 coverage of their protest against CAIR last night at OU.
Did Razi Hashmi, CAIR Oklahoma Director lie? Hmmm... Maybe, it's just me.
The Edmond Sun published an article titled And Moses said to Muhammad... written by Razi Hashmi, the director of the Oklahoma chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Moses never said anything to Muhammad so the title is very strange. But anyway, Hashmi began his article about the media whom, he claimed, primarily covered divisive stories between Muslim and Jews and felt there was more to the story. He concluded by asking Muslims, Jews and Christian to unite for justice against those who criticize Islam. (Ok, he didn't say it exactly like that - but it's real close).
...Muslims, Jews and Christians lived in peace for centuries in Spain before the Spanish Inquisition and in the Middle East before European colonialism. Muslims respect both Jews and Christians as “People of the Book,” as mentioned in the Holy Qur’an.
I want to encourage my Jewish and Muslim brothers and sisters to explore new beginnings of friendship and mutual understanding, based upon the foundations of faith that unite these two Abrahamic traditions. If that may be difficult for you, consider justice as the call to unite us all.
Saad Mohammad, a spokesman for the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISOGOC) told the OKGazatte in an article dated September 2, 2009, that white women make up the largest group of converts, or as some Muslims call it, reverts, this past year. Revert means reverting to the first religion even though Judaism and Christianity predates Islam by hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. Some would criticize this as part of Islamic supremacy.
Mohammad also said the growth of Islam in Oklahoma is responsible for the 12 mosques throughout the state.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton let slip last week that the Obama administration has finally abandoned the phrase "war on terror." Its absence had been noted by commentators. There was no directive, Clinton said, "it's just not being used.
..."Rather, the war on terror, as conceived of by the Bush administration, was targeted at a particular brand of terrorism -- that employed exclusively by Islamic entities. Which is why the enemy in this ideological conflict was gradually and systematically expanded to include not just the people who attacked the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, and the organizations that supported them, but an ever-widening conspiracy of disparate groups, such as Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the clerical regime in Iran, the Sunni insurgency in Iraq, the Kashmiri militants, the Taliban and any other organization that declared itself Muslim and employed terrorism as a tactic.
By lumping together the disparate forces, movements, armies, ideas and grievances of the greater Muslim world, from Morocco to Malaysia; by placing them in a single category ("enemy"), assigning them a single identity ("terrorist"); and by countering them with a single strategy (war), the Bush administration seemed to be making a blatant statement that the war on terror was, in fact, "a war against Islam."...
A recent statement by a coalition of major national Islamic organizations cited a number of incidents in which the government unfairly targeted American mosques and Muslim groups and said concern over those abuses could result in the suspension of long-standing community outreach initiatives with the FBI....
"...At a luncheon Sunday for leaders of the EU's 27 nations in Prague, he said the West should seek greater cooperation and closer ties with Islamic nations. Allowing Turkey to join the European Union would deepen that message, he contended.
France, Austria and other nations oppose Turkey's long-running efforts to join the EU. Others in the organization have urged Turkey to do more to guarantee minority rights, curb the powers of its military and pass new rights for trade unions....
...Why again this resurgence of fear and paranoia of Muslims and ignorance surrounding the head scarf? This irrational fear, also known as Islamophobia, is reminiscent of anti-Semitism and racism, and is truly unAmerican..."
Hello? There' not one verse in the Quran that commands a woman to cover her hair!
"When I read about the arrest of Ahmad Niazi, it was déjà vu all over again. The FBI tries to strong-arm someone into being an "informant;" the intended informant declines; the agency retaliates. It was all strangely familiar. We went through it before in the US, and it was called COINTELPRO, the deliberate misuse of federal investigative agencies to harass people for their beliefs. After awhile it got worse, and we called it Watergate, and it became the biggest constitutional crisis in American history..."
See what I mean?
Update 1/14/10: Hashmi stopped writting on his blog last June!
Today, I rang up the committee co-chair's office tand the lady I talked to confirmed HB 1645 was allowed to die within the committee for this session. The next session starts February 2010.
I wonder if pressure from national Islamic organizations stopped Oklahoma legislators from moving forward on this bill, which would have banned head-coverings in driver's license photo ID. Probably.
The way the law currently stands anyone can cover their hair as long as your hair line shows.
"We thank Oklahoma lawmakers for their leadership and courage in standing up for religious pluralism and the First Amendment. We appreciate their recognition of the contributions that all faiths make to the great state of Oklahoma and we look forward to continuing to work together for all Oklahomans," said CAIR-OK Executive Director Razi Hashmi. He added that some 600 letters opposing the draft legislation were sent to lawmakers by Oklahomans of all faiths..."
I first noticed what may be a new CAIR tactic to try to silence American elected officias, who support Israel, when Hamas shill, Razi Hashmi, the local representative for CAIR in Oklahoma, suggested U.S. Representative Mary Fallin should be neutral in her support for Israel and then again when he tried to claim most Oklahomans are concerned about the tax dollars spent to support Israel, which is a blatantly false statement.
Yesterday, CAIR national met with New York's mayor Michael Bloomberg to chastise him in a polite way for his uncritical support for Israel. How, Bloomberg kept his cool knowing this Islamic group is more aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas mindset is beyond me.
CAIR, do you seriously think we are stupid enough to fall for your dishonest tactics?
AJP: CAIR-OK: 250 Rally at Capitol for Gaza Peace Vigil ...CAIR-OK Executive Director Razi Hashmi said: “We urge our government to end its one-sided failed foreign policy in the Middle East and take a leading neutral role in bringing the Israelis and Palestinians towards a just and lasting peace.”...
"America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s"illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday (1/5/09).
Razi Hashmi, is the director for the Oklahoma office of CAIR, a national Islamic organization that grew from the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America. As such, this organization was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial where all defendants were found guilty of funneling millions to the terrorist group, Hamas.
Recently, Hashmi had the audacity to imply the majority of Oklahomans are against our government's support of Israel!.
"...Razi Hashmi, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations Oklahoma Chapter, said in a telephone interview that there was a great turnout (link added by z) at the Peace Rally for Gaza last Monday. He said people from many backgrounds and religions came together to call on public officials to help stop Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip (z: controlled by Hamas).
Hashmi, an Edmond resident, said the U.S. government has not made it a secret that they support Israel. He said he thinks Oklahomans are concerned that taxpayers’ money is helping fund weapons for Israel, which are being used to attack the Gaza Strip.
“In order for there to be peace, there needs to be understanding on both sides,” he said. “If the U.S. takes a neutral stance, there will less division.”
...“We don’t want to have division in our faith communities,” Hashmi said. “There should be non-violence on both sides.”
Hashmi said they are not fighting for pro-Israeli or pro-Palestinian but pro-peace".
What to bet?
If there is any doubt what side Hashmi and those who protested, let this picture of the "peace really" he organized help:
"America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s"illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday (1/5/09).
Did I, by chance, overlook any public response from the Islamic Society of Tulsa on the Hamas-controlled Gaza conflict with Israel?
In light of this, we then have to rely on their use of CAIR's response to the conflict and the words of their Oklahoma Director, Razi Hashmi, who was quoted by NewsOK on January 6th that America needs to take immediate actions to end the illegal and immoral offensive taken by Israel against the Hamas rulers! Oh, those poor Hamas thugs.
This picture is from a screen shot of IST's website taken today to which I added some red boxes and wording to highlight their alliance with CAIR.
Now let's look at the link to Malcolm X. First, of all, the introduction is in Arabic. Here's what it says roughly translated:
"In this volatile climate in which all the colors of oppression and humiliation exist Malcolm X was born. Father was a pastor in a church, the mother of the West Indies, and when he reached the age of six his father was killed at the hands of whites, after smashing his head... (can't translate last part of sentence).
Undoubtedly, the family of Malcolm X conditions deteriorate rapidly .. Materially and spiritually .. And they lived on charity and social assistance from the whites and they were dragging their heels in giving.
...Malcolm turned to drugs. And -- a verdict against him -- for a term of ten years, -- imprisonment for five years for whites.
In prison, all the brothers converted to Islam, Malcolm X by a man named (Mr. Mohamed Ilaizha), which he claims to be the prophet of God sender for blacks!
...Malcolm X was affiliated to the movement of (the Nation of Islam)...
In one of his eloquent speeches, which was hosted by the call to God, -- he was assassinated on their hands while standing on the podium when people started delivering sixteen bullets insidious about the long thin body ...
Then the conclusion .. Finally, yes, but .. We ask God to accept as martyrs on the Day of Resurrection."
"America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s "illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday (1/5/09).
CAIR, an organization that grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, issued an Action Alert to get Muslims out to vote in record numbers before the election.
In this alert, CAIR's executive director, Nihad Awad said:
"As a vocal minority seeks to marginalize the Islamic community, it is more important than even for American Muslims to turn out on Tuesday to vote,” said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. Awad said CAIR will conduct an exit poll of Muslim voters."
Now, let's go to the blog of the executive director for CAIR Oklahoma, Razi Hashmi, who copied and pasted this alert to his blog, EXCEPT he changed the statement of Nihad Awad's to his own:
“As a vocal minority seeks to marginalize the Islamic community, it is more important than even for American Muslims to turn out on Tuesday to vote,” said CAIR-OK Executive Director Razi Hashmi. Hashmi said CAIR-OK will conduct an exit poll of Muslim voters."
