It's official - Shiekh Radwan Kouatli has moved to Tulsa.
Yep, that's right. Sheikh Radwan Kouatli has moved to Tulsa from Florida. The "Shiekh" title comes from information I read in the Islamic Society of Tulsa (ISOT) newsletter for April 2008. On page 6 the ISOT discuss the Imam's salary and his new office but nowhere on the document is the name of the Imam mentioned.
Previously, Kouatli was the Imam at the Islamic Center of Boca Raton (ICBR). Perhaps things just got too hot there for him:
...ICBR's overseeing Imam Radwan Koualti runs a da'wa [Islamic conversion] website called "Love Allah." Koualti's web presence showcases the extreme nature of his beliefs.
"As believers, our mission is to completely and fully enslave ourselves to Allah…The nature of believer's love for Allah is sacrificial. …This means that believers out of the love to their Lord sacrifice that which is beloved to them…"
The Islamic Center of Boca Raton continues to present a danger to the community. Concerned citizens should contact City Hall and Mayor Steven Abrams office and demand that the construction of a mosque with multiple documented ties to terrorism be halted on the grounds of national security. Is this article full of lies? Are they being unfair to Kouatli? If so a lawsuit should set the record straight. However, one of its former members is now in prison serving 25 years for aiding al-Qaeda. The crime was perpetrated by physician, Rafiq Sabir, who had sworn allegiance to al-Qaeda. He was sentenced in 2007. Kouatli wasn't at this mosque at that time, I'm pretty sure. He was at the Islamic Center of Orlando. The Imam at Boca Raton was Ibrahim Dremali who left for Iowa shortly before Sabir was arrested.
Dremali was educated at Al-Azhar University in Cairo , where the school’s Grand Imam, Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi, issued Fatwas in favor of violent Jihad against America and in support of suicide bombings.
The Oklahoma chapter of the Council of American Islamic Relations recently secured Muhammad Abu Laylah of this same university in Egypt to represent Islam at a recent conference in Oklahoma City on terrorism! What?
Anyway, after Dremali left Florida, Radwan Kouatli stepped in as the Imam at the mosque in Boca Raton.
On Kouatli's dawah website about page we now read he is a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma:
"Since 1997, I served as imam with several congregations and delivered lectures and sermons in mosques, universities and places of worship. I am married and live with my wife and four children in Tulsa, Ok. I am also certified to teach Quran. I like the outdoors and cherish to see the creation of Allah."
I noticed he deleted some background information which I had written about before:
Kouatli said he has studied with well known (Islamic) scholars overseas. Kouatli's goal is to share Islamic truths with the people so they know Islam as it is, not as the ignorant forces portray it.
I found a cached page here where you can read what he removed.
5th bullet: ...not as the ignorant forces portray it.
towards the bottom: Allah helped me to devote a great portion of my time to Islamic studies. I studied with well known scholars overseas
Why did he find it necessary to remove that he studied with well-known Islamic scholars overseas? I think it's important to know who these Islamic scholars are, don't you?
Muslim scholars and leaders in the U.S. tend to speak about a version of Islam which is not practiced in any Islamic country in the world! Maybe the scholars he studied with might tell us too much about the version of Islam he really believes in. Perhaps some have issued fatwas that would raise eyebrows. There has to be a reason why he removed this reference.
Shiekh Kouatli, please tell Oklahomans the names of the "well-known" scholars you studied with overseas.
It's one thing to talk about your religion, which is fine. But if you are part of a network or have been taught by Islamic scholars who believe in Islamic domination then that's another matter. We need to know who are these well-known scholars.
In this Roger State University TV program on prayer we see Kouatli hasn't wasted any time in promoting Islam. Here he is identified as Imam Radman Kouatli, The Love God Institute, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It appears the other faith discussions in this program were edited out, for some odd reason. At the 6.34 min a question about religion and politics and laws was asked.
I'm curious if Radwan Kouatli is the new Imam of the Islamic Society of Tulsa. Perhaps he's not but would an Imam just move from their place of employment as an Imam to be a member of a mosque? Maybe.

I'm thankful we have resources such a zTruth to find information that our local newspapers will not cover.
The Islamic Center of Tulsa appears to be two-faced from what I've read here.
Thanks for all your information.
