CAIR blames right-wing talk radio for flap over Islamic presentation at a public school

I see the national office of the Council of American Islamic Relations weighed in on the controversy caused by their Houston chapter after they threatened to go to the FBI over an incident between two students at Friendswood Junior High.  Telling the school instead of going that route, they would be OK with just giving a presentation on Islam instead.  The problem was no parental notification was given to the nearly 900 student who had to attend the mandatory 40 minute religious talk about Islam.

Below are a couple of videos of the interview with CAIR representative Ibrahim Hooper, a former employee of the Islamic Association of Palestine,  which was started by Hamas operative Mousa Marzook and Sami al-Arian, and Pastor Bob Phillips of Houston on Al-Jazeera TV.

CAIR refers to the interview on their website as a discussion on Islamophobia.

Hooper blamed right-wing talk radio who blew it all out of wack.  Take note how Pastor Phillips kept correcting Hooper but then didn't force the issue when Hooper countered back.

At that point, Pastor Phillips said they had problems with CAIR, itself and could take up the whole program on them. Hooper then said these kind of talking points that attack CAIR are not anything CAIR has done. Hooper said they have helped Christians, too,  as a counterpoint.

Take a little gander, when you have the time,  at the extensive history of CAIR and see all the factual information there is on CAIR.  Apparently, CAIR has a problem owning up to the truth and we owe it to each other to create a united front to stand up to them at every opportunity with the facts.

Hooper then mentioned a recent conference in Saudi Arabia where many Muslim scholars attended as a great example of interfaith progress.  One problem, though, non-Muslim were not invited to participate in the conference.  A fact conveniently withheld by Hooper.  At the conference former Saudi Minister of Information,  Muhammad Abduh Al-Yamani,  said the interfaith dialogues will help bring Christian and Jews, who have distorted their religions, to the original religion - Islam!

Each video is slightly over 11 minutes:

I agree CAIR has a serious problem with being honest about their history and their strong alignment with the Middle East. This group sides with the Middle East world far more than they side with our government.

I'm glad to see the air-time they got was not mainstream American TV.
