Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour, senior advisor to Saudi Prince, connection to Barack Obama
“He is the principle adviser to one of the world's richest men. He told me about Obama" ---Percy Sutton
Amanda Carpenter at Townhall wrote an interesting article yesterday about a man named Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour who asked civil right activist, Percy Sutton, to help Barack Obama get into Harvard Law School and also helped raise money for him. Percy Sutton once represented Malcom X as a client for many years.
There is one major problem, as Carpenter pointed out, there are numerous videos of Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour blasting Christians and Jews, including one video predicting the death of Christianity.
I did some checking on my own. Is Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour that Sutton speaks of the same Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour in these videos, many made in the early 90s, leveling hateful claims about Christian discrimination? Let's see now, doesn't he sound an awful lot like the anti-white views of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the pastor of Barack Obama's church home of twenty years.
In case you are wondering, Al-Mansour is a Muslim and is also known as Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq Al-Mansour. He wrote "The Destruction of Western Civilization as Seen Through Islam, Christianity and Judaism" in 1982. So is that Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour the same as this Dr.Khalid Al-Mansour, who is an activist and a senior advisor to Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal of Saudi Arabia?
The answer can be tied nicely together on page 19 of a 2007 business meeting called, OFC Venture Challenge, there's a recent picture of al-Mansour, who served as a senior advisor to the Saudi prince, who looks, to me, to be the exact same man in the videos.
Is this the man who asked Sutton to help Obama get into Harvard Law School? I think so. Just ponder this for a moment - what are the odds there are two different Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour's who are attorneys and advise one of the world's richest men?
Explosive is the word that comes to mind to describe this bit of news which will add fuel the fire of discontent about Obama's background.
Will the left-leaning media bring this information to Americans? Probably not.

Update 9/4/08: Newsmax interviewed Al-Mansour:
"...The New York Times described how transformative his Harvard experience became for the young Obama: “He arrived there as an unknown,-- by the time he left, he had his first national news media exposure, a book contract and a shot of confidence from running the most powerful legal journal in the country.”
...In an exclusive interview with Newsmax from his home in San Antonio, Texas, al-Mansour said he would not comment specifically on the statement by Percy Sutton because he was afraid anything he said would get “distorted. -- So any statement that I made would only further this activity which is not in the interest of Barack”
But in the lengthy interview, al-Mansour confirmed that he frequently spoke on university campuses, including Columbia, where Percy Sutton suggested he met Obama in the late 1980s, and confirmed his close relationship with Prince Alwaleed.
...The casual statement by Percy Sutton to NY1 is the first time anyone has hinted at a relationship between Obama and the Saudi royal family.
...he (al-Mansour) has represented the Saudi’s interests in the United States, in Britain, and in Africa for more than a quarter century, according to public records.

Update 9/5/08 5:08 P.M.: From left-leaning Politico:
"...Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt told Politico that "Obama did not know and does not know Khalid al-Mansour."
LaBolt said Obama doesn't have a relationship with Sutton and that "to our knowledge, no such letter was written." Obama was in Chicago, not New York, when he applied to Harvard..."
Ben Smith of Politico also reports he personally talked to Al-Mansour who now has denied the story blaming it all on Mr. Sutton's poor health. How convenient. Al-Mansour is on the board of a company in Chicago, for what it is worth.
I would expect an Islamist to deny anything when pressed - not that Al-Mansour is an Islamist, or is he? Islam is the only religion that allows its followers to lie in order to gain the advantage over their enemy or to make peace between people.
But then again maybe Al-Monsour is telling the truth, but I doubt it.
Has this been addressed on Obama's Fight the Smear page? Nope not yet.
