President Obama has landed in Baghdad about 10 minutes ago, a city where 33 were killed yesterday in a string of bombings.
The air is so full of dust, the President cannot travel by helicopter to where he will meet with U.S. troops. He will travel by motorcade, per White House pool reporter, Chip Reed.
This is Obama's first visit to Iraq as President of the United States.
I think the President will thank our hard-working and brave troops for their efforts in the "Overseas Contingency Operations", don't you think?
Yesterday, the president reached out to the Muslim world saying Islam is not the enemy. "...The United States is not, and will never be, at war with Islam," he told the Turkish parliament on Monday, April 6.
President Bush made similar statements but that didn't change anything with our Islamic enemies, whose religious ideology gives them the strength and the will to harm us.
