President Obama's fellow Senate Democrats rebuffed the administration's request for funds to close Guantanamo Bay today because they didn't submit a plan on how to close it or move the prisioners to the U.S. or elsewhere, reports the Washington Post.
"We'll wipe out all the money, but I'll put in a provision saying none of the funds in this bill or any other bill may be used to pay for the transfer of detainees from Guantanamo to the United States," until there is some plan, said Senator Daniel Inouye, chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee and an author of the bill..."
On May 5th, I wrote about the tension raised between the House of Representatives and the White House when they also rejected funding.

Come on. You mean to tell me the most popular president in recent history got rebuffed? All because he didn't have a plan on what to do with the "dentainees"
I don't believe it.
