In 2009, 138 journalists died doing their job. The majority were murdered or killed:
In the past year, 138 journalists have died in the course of their work. The International Federation of Journalists reports that 113 were murdered or killed in other violence, while the remaining 24 died in work-related accidents.
The most recent journalist to be killed was Canadian Michelle Lang, who died in a roadside bomb blast in Afghanistan on Tuesday.
The report identifies the Philippines, Mexico and Somalia as the most dangerous countries for journalists to work in. Last month 31 journalists were killed in the Philippines after being abducted. In Iraq, the worst country for fatalities among journalists over the past decade, five media workers were killed this year.
This is another sign of the dangerous world we live in. Let's hope for a better 2010.

(Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab - photo source: London Telegraph)
New information suggests Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the failed Christmas Day bomber, may have attended an Islamic school for a short time in Houston, Texas:
...Shaykh Waleed Basyouni, vice president for the AlMaghrib Institute in Houston and imam of the Clear Lake Islamic Center, said he would provide more details on 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s studies in Houston this afternoon. Basyouni had asked a team of staffers to investigate a report that Abdulmutallab had attended classes at the institute in 2008.
Officials with the Department of Homeland Security said that Abdulmutallab made a prior trip to the U.S. before the bombing attempt, flying into Houston Aug. 1, 2008, and leaving 16 days later.
...The international institute is a nonprofit that teaches Islamic studies. It has a student body totaling more than 20,000, Basyouni said, and conducts seminars in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.
...FBI agents have visited the Sheraton Houston Brookhollow Hotel at 3000 North Loop West, where Abdulmutallab is believed to have stayed.

Just how tough of a leader is President Obama against those who have declared war against America and who try to kill us?
In his statements days after the failed airline bomb attack on Christmas Obama didn't mentioned the enemy by name once. I don't believe he has ever discussed with the American people the essence of their religious/political ideology and their ultimate goal to create a new empire. Al-Qaeda and its affiliates want to kill Americans and destroy our country and all others who stand in their way. They declared war on America in 1996 - did they not? They reaffirmed it again in 1998. They are a global organization, intertwined with other like groups - all supported by Islamists who share the same religious supremacist ideology that Islam should rein supreme over all other religions with a new caliphate that spans countries. The president calls it a perversion of Islam but for the entire history of Islam - Muslims were ruled over by Islamic supremacist caliphs until the last was defeated in 1924. Perversion?
Did he say after this failed attack we are at war and this was an attack by our enemy? Hmmm... I don't think so - he called it an isolated extremist attack.
The Christmas terrorist tried to carry out a martyrdom mission for an ideology that highly values those who give up their life for their religion. He is an enemy combatant but the Obama administration treats these attacks as a criminal act and has banned the phrase.
The terrorist will now hide behind his court appointed civilian attorney.
Historic prosecution of our enemies during war is not on the side of Obama. The regular justice system were often not used in the Civil War, the Revolutionary War, the Mexican War, and both World Wars. For example, President Lincoln did away with writ of habeas corpus during the Civil War, if you recall. In WWII, Nazi's infiltrated America and planned attacks against our economic interests. A military commission on instructions from President Franklin D. Roosevelt tried the men. He ordered this because he felt the criminal courts would be too lenient. All were executed in D.C. within days of being found guilty by the commission except two men who turned themselves in. This was called Operation Pastorius. Lawyers for the accused wanted to have the case tried in a civilian court, but were rejected by the Supreme Court in Ex parte Quirin.
Sadly, the mixed signals the president gives out does not make most Americans feel safer and it emboldens the enemy who attacks have noticeably increased in America since President Obama took office.

Four days before the failed terrorist attack on Detroit-bound Flight 253 on Christmas an al Qaeda video was released warning of a pending attack:
"...the leader of al Qaeda in Yemen boasted of what was planned for Americans, saying, "We are carrying a bomb to hit the enemies of God."
Were our intelligence aware of this video when it was released? Why was a warning not issued?
TimesOnlineUK reported today, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula released a statement following the failed martyrdom operation:
...called on "the people of the Arabian peninsula" to attack American military installations, ships and "spying embassies".The US Embassy in Yemen was attacked by al Qaeda-affiliated terrorists in September 2008, and the USS Cole, a US Navy destroyer, was hit by Al Qaeda in 2000.
The FBI was apparently told by failed martyr, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, there are many, many more would-be martyrs like him ready to launch attacks against America.
Abdulmutallab also wrote in emails, obtained by ABC News, if it was OK to lie in order to deceive the enemy.
For clarification, Islam does allow Muslims to lie to the enemy to gain the upper hand. It is the only religion to do so.
Update 12:56 PM CT: Meanwhile, President Obama played golf again and the WH said he will address the failed bombing on American soil later today and complained this should not become a political issue!
Isn't that exactly what the Dems did to Bush?

Have you heard or seen any statement given by President Obama on the failed airline bomb attack on Christmas? This was a bomb that failed to explode! It was suppose to be a martyrdom operation - carried out by our enemy to kill Americans! All we have been told about Obama is that he "monitoring" the situation - that's about it. He played golf yesterday as anxious Americans began to return home from the holidays on airplanes.
Where's the leadership? For the president not to address this intended attack to kill nearly 300 Americans on our homeland is appalling. It appears he is actually following Sharia Law where only positive statements can be made about Islam.
This is especially troubling since there has been a very noticeable increase in efforts by some Muslims to kill Americans in America since Obama took office.
Update 12/28/09: This afternoon President Obama spoke for the first time about the attempted bombing. He did refer to this as an attempted terror attack but never mentioned the enemy by name.
Has a war ever been fought, much less won, where the enemy is nameless and their warriors prosecuted as common criminals?

Homeland Secretary Janel Napolitano referred to this terror attack as "an incident." She also spoke on CNN this morning and said this was an ongoing criminal investigation.

Here's more of the icky details from ABC News about the failed airline bombing yesterday born from the hatred of Al Qaeda and its many affiliates towards Americans:
...Investigators say the suspect had more than 80 grams of PETN, a compound related to nitro-glycerin used by the military. The so-called shoe bomber, Richard Reid, had only about 50 grams kin his failed attempt in 2001 to blow up a U.S.-bound jet. Yesterday's bomb failed because the detonator may have been too small or was not in "proper contact" with the explosive material, investigators told ABC News.
...At some point, according to the account, Abdulmutallab said he was joined by a Saudi citizen whom he described as an al Qaeda bomb maker.
The device intended to blow up the Northwest flight was made at the location in Yemen, according to Abdulmutallab, and consisted of a six-inch packet of powder and a syringe with a liquid. Both were sewn into the student's underwear so they would be near his testicles and unlikely to be detected, he told agents...
Ouch!
Update 3:36 PM CT: Airline bomber was barred from Britain
THE son of a prominent Nigerian banker, who allegedly attempted to blow up a transatlantic flight over America, was barred from returning to Britain earlier this year.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, graduated from a university in London last year but his visa request was refused in May when he attempted to apply for a new course at a bogus college.

CAIR, ID'd by the FBI to have sprung from the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas network in America, has written a letter to President Obama citing instances of "alarming" anti-Islamic behavior in America - such as a cross placed at the site of a new mosque or comments made by Rev. Franklin Graham or a polls of pastors who are very troubled about Islam. There were other examples listed as well. CAIR NY produced a Public Service Announcement that will appears on a CBS super screen in Times Square from now until January 16th to present the image of Muslims in a positive light.
Meanwhile, law enforcements officials and countless personnel are working 24/7 to keep Americans from being killed from another terror attack which are always seemed to be carried out by a Muslim.
Fifteen Americans died from attacks in the U.S. this year and CAIR writes a letter to the president because of criticism about Islam?
That's about as pitiful as you can get.

Here is a news clip about the terror suspect, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab who tried to blow up a plane as it was getting ready to land in Detroit yesterday. It mentions his visa was to attend a religious seminar in Detroit.
At the end of this video it shows how easy it is to blow a hole in the side of an airplane with liquids - its disturbing.
Also, just two hundred miles NE of Detroit in Toronto, Canada - a large Islamic conference started yesterday around the time of the failed airline bombing - which is noteworthy. Several Muslim Brotherhood leaders such as Jamal Badawi, Dr. Tareq Suwaidan and Tariq Ramadan - the grandson of Hassan al Banni - the founder of the Islamic supremacist organization are speakers at the convention. Ramadan has not publicly said he is a MB but he has not ever denounced his grandfather's ideology. He is currently seeking entry into the United States to live permanently.
Badawi was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial.
The Muslim Brotherhood has set up a number of national organizations in America.
Watch the trailer for the convention (the man who said Islam will enter every house is Tareq Suwaidan from Kuwait around the 1:45 mark):

Jihadists attack somewhere in the world multiple times every day to help the cause of Islamism - the spread of Islamic supremacy! Yesterday, there were four attacks and the day before seven. Today, Christmas, it looks like one of the attacks was aboard a plane, an Airbus A330, (Northwest Airlines Flight #253) from Amsterdam to Detroit, as it was preparing to land about 20 minutes out around mid-day:
Federal officials and police are interviewing a Nigerian man, who allegedly tried to "explode" a powdery substance aboard a Northwest flight from Amsterdam to Detroit, injuring himself and two other passengers, law enforcement officials said. The man said he was directed by al Qaeda to explode a small device in flight, over U.S. soil, ABC News has learned. Authorities have no corroboration of that information, and the credibility of the suspect's statements are being questioned, officials said.
There has been an increase in attempted or failed terrorist attack since President Obama took office. Two other attacks were carried out in America that killed fifteen people: Ft. Hood, Texas and in Arkansas. All were planned by Muslims. An Islamist supremacy organization, Hizb ut Tahrir, reared its ugly head in America and held its first Caliphate conference in Chicago, too.
UPDATE 6:58 PM CT: Abdul Mudallad, a 23-year-old Nigerian national, according to Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican who is the ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee. The device was technologically advanced and potentially devastating, Mr. King said. "This was not a firecracker," he said. Mr. King said the suspect's name did not appear on any of the terrorist watch lists maintained by U.S. authorities, but that the Nigerian national did turn up "hot" in other terrorism-related databases maintained by intelligence officials.
The White House confirmed this was an act of terror, according to the Washington Post.
Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab is another spelling of his name.

Last month, a man walked onto school property at Cypress Lake Middle School in Florida and asked when school started, got out and so on.
The man would not leave so the school called 9/11 which led to an investigation:
"...Mohammed Hossain, 38, asked a staff member what time school started, when students and staff were present and what time everyone leaves for the day. The staffer asked Hossain if he had a child attending the school and Hossain replied no, he was "just looking around." Hossain refused to leave and staffers were forced to call 911.At that point, Hossain left the school campus but was quickly located by deputies. Hossain was arrested for trespassing on school grounds.
During a review of papers in Hossain's bag, the detective found he had applied at Everglades University in Sarasota to study aviation management. Hossain received a reply letter from the university stating that it no longer accepted applications for the Sarasota Campus for Aviation Management. The sheriff's office notified the Joint Terrorism Task Force of its findings.
The detective also discovered that Hossain had an outstanding immigration warrant with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and immediately notified ICE and the FBI of the findings.
On Dec. 18, Hossain, who had been in custody the entire time, entered a no contest plea in Lee County Court to the trespassing charge and was then immediately remanded to the custody of ICE. The FBI said its investigation shows Hossain has no connection to any ancillary group or concern.

Magnificant news that Israel finds remains of Jesus-era home in Nazareth :
Israeli archaeologists have uncovered a home dating to the time of Jesus in the town of Nazareth where he is said to have spent the better part of his life, the antiquities authority said Monday. The remains were found near the Basilica of the Annunciation, built on the ruins of three earlier churches on the site where Christians believe Mary was told by the angel Gabriel that she would give birth to Jesus.
"The discovery is of the utmost importance since it reveals for the very first time a house from the Jewish village of Nazareth and thereby sheds light on the way of life at the time of Jesus," said Yardenna Alexandre, who is heading the excavation.
"The building that we found is small and modest, and it is most likely typical of the dwellings in Nazareth in that period."

Today, President Barack Obama claimed a victory in the Senate, after passage of a very controversial healthcare bill.
President Barack Obama on passage of heathcare bill in Senate:
; "...Small businesses and those who don't get insurance through their employer will finally be able to get insurance at a price that they can afford with tax credits to help."
...Medicare will be stronger and its solvency extended by nearly a decade. Seniors will get more assistance with prescription drug costs than they're getting right now."
Stressing that the bill would also help slow the growth in medical care costs, Obama also emphasized that the bill would actually reduce the federal budget deficit..."
Yet, the CBO said Senate Health Bill Won't Reduce Deficits as much as they estimated.
....CBO Director Doug Elmendorf wrote in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that while the correction has no bearing on estimates for the impact of the bill over the next decade, it does slightly reduce the amount of money the plan is expected to save for the 2020-2029 period.
The original estimate said the health care overhaul would yield deficit reductions worth about one-half percent of GDP -- the revision put that figure between one-quarter and one-half percent
I wonder how many more times the CBO will readjust their estimates? They have been wrong before.

Eboo S. Patel, was the first Muslim to join the Obama administration's Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. He and Daila Mogahed are the only Muslims on the council.
Recently, he was interviewed for a London-based Saudi Daily where he laid out their goals - to get their religious concerns and recommendations to the president. Patel said:
...Our task is to formulate a list of recommendations for the President on ways to form better partnerships between the federal government and religious and secular organizations in the U.S., the better to serve the common good. Our goal is to bring the Muslim voice to the American decision makers... Obama, for his part, is regarded as a keen supporter of inter-faith cooperation."
Other excerpts:
Q: "What is the nature of the recommendations you have presented to the Obama administration so far?"
A: "We aim to submit a list of official recommendations by February. So far, we have not submitted any recommendations, though we have had some opportunities to advise.
"An issue I wish to emphasize is the importance of having young people play a pioneering role in interfaith cooperation, because young people are a very big part of the world today..." Q: "Did the team you are on... play any role in advising President Obama [on his June 2009 Cairo speech, and if so], who was involved in [writing] the speech?" A: "I do not know who wrote the speech, but I had the honor of participating in two conference calls with the [team] that was in charge of writing it. Their names were not mentioned, but they listened to our ideas over the phone." Q: "When you travel abroad or in the U.S., what advice do you give young Muslims?" A: "First, you should feel pride in your faith. It is a glorious and divine faith, which has contributed greatly to human civilization throughout history, and which still has much of importance to contribute to society. [I tell them:] you do not have to feel responsible for the extremists who destroy Islam with their violent deeds. They are not your responsibility, because they are nothing but extremists. They do not impinge on the image of your faith or on your own image. "The second thing I wish to say is that now is the time for young Muslims to become religious leaders and fulfill what is said [in the Koran], in Verse 49 of Surat Al-Shura [sic],[2] which teaches us that Allah made us into nations and tribes so that we get to know one another. This is the time for young people to play a pioneering role in this domain."

The attorneys for the parents of 17 year-old Christian convert, Rifqa Bary, have asked the court not to let their daughter get any Christmas cards after a blogger, who is a strong critic of Islam (Islamism?), requested others send her Christmas cards.
Bary ran away from her Ohio home after her Muslim father found out she became a Christian. The actions her parents took against her seems rather odd and could be self-defeating. Rifqa remains in foster care.

Enough with the fuming, already! Let's take action and do something constructive - what do you say? Soon 60 senators will speak for 300 million Americans - the majority of whom are against the senate's healthcare reform crap.
Every American, who is against the passage of the Senate's sneaky and corrupt health care bill, should call their senator to let them know, they work for you, and tell them how you want them to vote.
There will be a vote at 1 AM Monday morning - while you sleep, to move the bill forward
Call now! The main switchboard number is 202 224–3121. Just tell the operator your senator's name and they will put you through to their office but you will probably have to leave a message. Better yet, ask to be put through to Majority Leader Senator Harry Reids' office or call directly at 202 224-3542.
Individual senator's phone numbers are here
Update 12/21/09: The procedural vote passed at 1 AM today. Now there will be another vote to pass the bill itself in the Senate.
There is still time to call on the final vote!

Ahmed Ghailani is the first Guantanamo terror suspect brought to the U.S. by President Obama. Ghailani claims his U.S. rights were violated - even though he lived and was picked up in a foreign country suspected of being an al-Qaeda terrorist who aided the bombing of two U.S. embassies in East Africa.
Giving U.S. rights to terrorists that want to kill us is the liberal way:
Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have asked a judge to reject claims by a man accused of terrorism that his nearly five years of detention in the C.I.A.’s secret jails and later at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, violated his right to a speedy trial, according to a court document filed Friday night. The document responds to arguments made by lawyers for the defendant, Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani, that the charges against him should be dropped because of the delay in bringing him to trial.
Mr. Ghailani, a Tanzanian, has been charged with conspiring in the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in East Africa that killed 224 people. He has pleaded not guilty.
In their memorandum, prosecutors told Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of Federal District Court that after the embassy attacks, Mr. Ghailani had spent nearly six years as a fugitive, working with Qaeda terrorists and developing a close relationship with Osama bin Laden. “The defendant was a longstanding Al Qaeda terrorist,” the prosecutors wrote.
“The United States was, and still is, at war with Al Qaeda,” they said.
The judge, Lewis A. Kaplan was appointed by Clinton. It's unclear if he has ever presided over a domestic terrorist case - let alone a foreign national terrorist suspect picked up in a foreign country.
Criminalizing a war is beyond foolish.

For the first time in history, the United States has arrested and charged three men in Africa for narcoterrorism - selling drugs to fund terrorism. The men, Oumar Issa, Harouna Toure and Idriss Abelrahman, aided al-Qaeda's North African branch, al-Qaeda in the Islamic Magreb(Maghreb or AQIM) and were brought to New York City Friday:
Three suspected al-Qaeda associates are charged with plotting to ferry drugs through the Sahara to raise money for terrorist attacks – evidence of what prosecutors say is a growing alliance between terrorist chiefs and drug lords. The arrests mark the first time U.S. authorities have captured and charged al-Qaeda suspects in a drug trafficking plot in Africa.
...The U.S. has long been concerned about close ties between militants and the heroin trade in Afghanistan. But the African case appears to show an expansion of both al-Qaeda's illegal activities around the globe and U.S. efforts to curtail black market deals that funnel cash to terrorist operations.
Terrorism is a subset of Islamism - the march towards Islamic supremacy and control. Terror attacks are carried out several times a day somewhere in the world to aid this effort.

It is plausible that every storm, every drought, every tornado, every hurricane could be blamed on "climate change." Have you noticed these libs are using this phrase more rather than "global warming"? Because it ain't happening. This all just may be a bamboozlement of the most epic proportion - - from the very liberal a socialistic agenda disguised as climate threats in order to transfer wealth from richer nations to poor nations.

President Obama met privately for nearly an hour with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao in hopes of breaking a deadlock on a final document that the gathered nations can agree to -- one that sets targets for greenhouse gas emissions and financial aid to developing nations.

...Lumumba Di-Aping, chief negotiator for the G77 group of 130 developing countries, was scathing: "This deal will definitely result in massive devastation in Africa and small island states. It has the lowest level of ambition you can imagine. It's nothing short of climate change scepticism in action.
"It locks countries into a cycle of poverty for ever. Obama has eliminated any difference between him and Bush."
Its our fault other countries are poor?
Obama cast his trip as a sign of renewed US global leadership. "The time has come for us to get off the sidelines and shape the future that we seek; that is why I came to Copenhagen," he said. But he said he would not be staying for the final vote "because of weather constraints in Washington".
A massive snowfall forced President Obama to leave Copenhagen early, folks! Oh no - the end is coming

Pew rehashed a 2007 poll taken among Muslims today on their website in an article titled Little Support for Terrorism Among Muslim Americans to help Americans feel better about extremism here after the Ft. Hood attack and the five American Muslims arrested in Pakistan. They added to it 2009 data from other countries.
Little support for terrorism Pew said. Yet, the graph above shows that 22%of Muslims polled in the U.S. said suicide bombings to defend Islam are either often, sometimes or rarely justified. Of that, 8% felt it was often or sometimes justified. The percentage was higher among younger Muslims. Pakistan has more Muslims who feel suicide bombers are never justified. Pakistan!

One of the most vocal climate change skeptics is Senator James Inhofe of Oklahoma. He traveled to Copenhagen to let people there know the U.S. Senate will not pass cap and trade.
One of the questions he was asked ought to send chills up your spine.
Meanwhile, Sec. of State Hillary Clinton offered a $100 billion carrot of U.S. taxpayer money, or borrowed money from Communist China with interest, to the rest of the world. Make no mistake folks, climate change is a way to transfer a large part of the wealth from richer nations to poorer ones....“I am here to make sure the 190 countries here don’t go home with the false impression,” said Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla. “The United States is not going to pass cap and trade. It just isn’t going to happen. Its chances are zero.”
...Democratic leaders, including Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., disagree, and predict the Senate will pass such a bill this spring.
Surrounded by reporters from around the world, including many who believe global warming is real, Inhofe often looked like a lamb on his way to slaughter.
One reporter asked Inhofe “What do you tell the children who have to live in a nightmare world. What should we tell them about your country being a heroin addict on fossil fuel? Answer the question!”
“Most of you are on the far left side, so listen closely. I contend the consensus is not there, and it wasn’t there prior to Climate-gate.”
“Nothing binding will come out of here in my opinion, and if it does it will be rejected by the American people.”
Clinton, who is one of six cabinet members accompanying Obama to the climate summit, said climate change “is an undeniable and unforgiving fact.”And the U.S. was willing to work with other nations to reduce c02 emissions, but any agreement here must have “full transparency.”
Yes, climate change is real - its called the weather.- and it changes four times a year.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Eric Holder's old firm Covington and Burling weighed in on the climate debate today:
Any accord is likely to come in the form of a consensus by the negotiating parties, something in between a legally binding treaty and a political agreement, said Ruben Kraiem, co-chair of the climate practice for attorneys Covington & Burling LLP in New York."It'll be a consensus political agreement," Kraiem said in an interview in Copenhagen. "It's not just a handshake and it's also not a treaty. It's a decision by a corporate body."

A verdict was reached today in the 2006 murder of a woman at a Jewish center in Seattle, Washington.
King County jury found a 34-year-old Muslim man guilty of charges including aggravated first-degree murder Tuesday in the 2006 shootings at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. In addition to the murder verdict, which carries an automatic life sentence, jurors found Naveed Haq guilty of five counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of unlawful imprisonment and one count of malicious harassment, the state's hate-crime law.
Haq opened fire in the federation offices on July 28, 2006, killing employee Pamela Waechter, 58, and wounding five others.
...Prosecutors also introduced as evidence audio recordings from 10 phone calls that Haq placed to his family after his arrest. In the calls, recorded by the King County Jail, Haq told his mother he was "a soldier of Islam."

Al Gore, the well-known spokesman for global warming - now mostly called climate change - refused to answer a journalist's question at Copenhagen.
United Nations security officials have once again prevented a journalist from asking attendees at the climate change conference in Copenhagen questions about the growing ClimateGate scandal. This time, the person on the receiving end of the apparently forbidden queries was Nobel Laureate Al Gore.
Much as when Ireland's Phelim McAleer tried to ask Stanford professor Stephen Schneider questions Thursday about the controversial e-mail messages obtained from the British Climatic Research Unit last month, McAleer was similarly rebuffed by Gore and his entourage Monday.
Not only did the former Vice President completely refuse to answer questions about his blatant misrepresentations of the age of the most recent e-mail message obtained from Britain's CRU, a U.N. security official actually disconnected McAleer's microphone to make sure any answers would be unrecorded.

NewsBusters, an anti-liberal organization owned by Media Research Center, wrote a great piece today about a CBS News segment that aired over the weekend which conveyed the sentiment of unnamed American Islamic leaders who said that young people here are being DRIVEN to homegrown Islamic terrorism by anti-Muslim propaganda. In addition, they pointed out the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan help our enemies use this as an attack against ALL of Islam, itself. No mention was made about the multitudes of jihadists material easily available all over the Internet, especially on YouTube.
Americans, I dare say, are overwhelmingly against Islamism - the political component of the literal interpretation of Islam which can and does ferment terrorism to help move their supremacist agenda forward which can leads to Islamic law or Sharia - the absolute ruling authority over others. U.S. Islamic leaders could do a world of good to help Muslim youth understand secular Islam versus Islamism - but you don't hear that talked about, do you? Well, you should.
Historically, most Muslims were always under the rule of an Islamic caliph for the entire history of Islam until 1924 when the last caliph was defeated. This history should not be ignored. Today, large global Islamist forces want to reestablish a caliphate.
So, the poor CBS News coverage here is a great example how the media is not being honest with you.

Gitmo North is coming!
The U.S. government is set to announce that dozens of Guantanamo Bay terrorist suspects (formerly known as enemy combatants picked up on foreign soil during battle) will be eventually sent to Thomson Correctional Center in Illinois.
"...In a letter addressed to Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, administration officials confirmed that the government would acquire the eight-year-old Thomson Correctional Center, about 150 miles west of Chicago, to house detainees from Guantanamo. The Justice Department will use part of the facility to house federal inmates, while the Defense Department will use part to house a "limited number" of Guantanamo detainees.Officials said that detainees will not be permitted visits by family or friends. They will be guarded by military personnel. And they will not mix with federal inmates. They will not be released on U.S. soil.
...Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that a bipartisan majority in Congress "already rejected bringing terrorists to U.S. soil for long-term detention."
"The administration," McConnell said, "has failed to explain how transferring terrorists to Gitmo North will make Americans safer than keeping these terrorists off of our shores in the secure facility in Cuba."
So let's review - one military prison, not on U.S. soil, is being closed for what appears to be political purposes - cause the Dems made President Bush the enemy instead of concentrating on the real enemy - which we haven't defeated, by the way, for another military prison on U.S. soil.
How does this make us safer?
It is probably just a matter of time before radicalized Muslims try to break them out sometime in the next ten years.

CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, is taking Rev. Franklin Graham to task for his criticism of Islam on CNN - thus staying true to form in their efforts to apply Sharia Law onto non-Muslims leaders in America:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said it has received a number of complaints from concerned Muslims who watched an interview last night on CNN during which Graham stated in part: "...we have many Muslims that live in this country. But true Islam cannot be practiced in this country. You can't beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they've committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries... I don't agree with the teachings of Islam and I find it to be a very violent religion..."...In a new letter sent today to Graham, CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad again called for a meeting at which Graham could be offered accurate and balanced information about Islam.
Awad wrote: "I believe your views on Islam are unworthy of a respected religious leader and are based on misinformation and misconceptions that could be cleared up in a face-to-face meeting with representatives of the American Muslim community..."
It is important to point out that a large number of Islamic scholars in Turkey are working to reform Islam. "According to Fadi Hakura, an expert on Turkey from Chatham House in London, Turkey is doing nothing less than recreating Islam - changing it from a religion whose rules must be obeyed, to one designed to serve the needs of people in a modern secular democracy."
Another example, the Quran does NOT require a women cover her head.

Al-Qaeda wants to destroy America. They are in Iraq and all over the world. Our troops have pulled back there after President Obama took office and terrorist attacks have increased. They kill other Muslims in order to weaken unstable governments so they or other Islamists can move in and take over, at some point. They are a GLOBAL Islamist-driven jihadist organization with its own media production arm which have access to other resources. They are not rogue terrorists. There are also a number of other terrorist organizations throughout the world. And there are many, many more Islamist (political Islam) organizations world-wide who do not practice violence by support jihadists efforts to help bring in a new caliphate - that is Islamic supremacy - supported by the literal interpretation of the Quran and Hadiths - so they can rule over Islamic majority countries and all Muslims, who join them, with a single caliph - which was done for CENTURIES. If they are successful, they will expand with force. It has only been in recent times, since 1924, the Islamic world has been without a caliph.

The Iran nuclear standoff this year is really beyond comprehension. 2009 started off with a report that major world powers failed to agree on Iran sanctions. After that, on the 19th, Reuters reported France, UK made another push for EU sanctions on Iran.
Obama then considered tougher Iran sanctions in early February. A few days later Reuters wrote West threatens Iran sanctions but offers talks, instead TALKS!
On March 13th, Iran dismisses sanctions, launches gas project. At the end of the month, EU chief offered Iran a new deal as sanctions loomed. But, Iran didn't bite at the bait.
Then, the UN Security Council unanimously approves new sanctions against Iran on April 23rd but back on the15th we read Iran Sanctions Would Be Frozen By US for Talks, Envoys Say. Confused?

Well, who would have thought American jihadists had to be in the "militant know" in order to get into certain over-seas terrorist groups, as least that is what this report says:
Five young American Muslims arrested in Pakistan met with representatives of an al-Qaida linked group and asked for training but were turned down because they lacked references from trusted militants, a Pakistani law enforcement official said Thursday.
...Another law enforcement official, Usman Anwar, the local police chief in Sargodha, told The Associated Press that the five are "directly connected" to the al-Qaida terrorist network.
"They are proudly saying they are here for jihad," or holy war, Anwar said.
The men used the social networking site Facebook and the Internet video site YouTube to try to connect with extremist groups in Pakistan, said S.M. Imran Gardezi, the press minister at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington. When they arrived in Pakistan, they took that effort to the street.

Sobering news:
Dallas is now officially one of the nation's top 10 terrorist targets – a designation that sounds alarming but which state and local officials have sought for years, because it means millions in federal funds to beef up security....On Sept. 30 – six days after the FBI arrested Jordanian Hosam Smadi on charges he plotted to blow up a Dallas office tower – the mayors of Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington wrote to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, urging her to review the region's risk for terrorist attacks and consider elevating it to the top tier.
They cited the Smadi case; the fact that the region has become the nation's fourth-largest metropolitan area, on track to have 8 million residents by 2020; the area's $300 billion economic output and presence of 25 Fortune 500 corporate headquarters; and the half-dozen major sporting events it will host in the next two years alone, including next year's NBA All-Star Game and the 2011 Super Bowl...

Once again, President Obama delivered a stunning speech today in Norway upon his acceptance of the Noble Peace Prize. He talked of his lack of experience and, as always, took a stab at President Bush, which he does whenever he can:
And yet I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the considerable controversy that your generous decision has generated. In part, this is because I am at the beginning, and not the end, of my labors on the world stage.
...But perhaps the most profound issue surrounding my receipt of this prize is the fact that I am the Commander-in-Chief of a nation in the midst of two wars. The concept of a "just war" emerged, suggesting that war is justified only when it meets certain preconditions: if it is waged as a last resort or in self-defense; if the forced used is proportional; and if, whenever possible, civilians are spared from violence (z: straight from Islam). To begin with, I believe that all nations — strong and weak alike — must adhere to standards that govern the use of force. I — like any head of state — reserve the right to act unilaterally if necessary to defend my nation.Nevertheless, I am convinced that adhering to standards strengthens those who do, and isolates — and weakens — those who don't.
The world rallied around America after the 9/11 attacks, and continues to support our efforts in Afghanistan, because of the horror of those senseless attacks and the recognized principle of self-defense. Likewise, the world recognized the need to confront Saddam Hussein when he invaded Kuwait — a consensus that sent a clear message to all about the cost of aggression.
...Where force is necessary, we have a moral and strategic interest in binding ourselves to certain rules of conduct. And even as we confront a vicious adversary that abides by no rules, I believe that the United States of America must remain a standard bearer in the conduct of war. That is what makes us different from those whom we fight. That is a source of our strength. That is why I prohibited torture. That is why I ordered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed. And that is why I have reaffirmed Americas commitment to abide by the Geneva Conventions.
...Third, a just peace includes not only civil and political rights — it must encompass economic security and opportunity. For true peace is not just freedom from fear, but freedom from want.
...Most dangerously, we see it in the way that religion is used to justify the murder of innocents by those who have distorted and defiled the great religion of Islam, and who attacked my country from Afghanistan. These extremists are not the first to kill in the name of God; the cruelties of the Crusades are amply recorded. — for the one rule that lies at the heart of every major religion is that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us.
Freedom from want?
Weren't the Crusades waged to fight against Islamist aggressions during the centuries of Islamic caliphates? Geez, I've also got to point out the Golden rule is NOT in the Quran, the primary source of Islam, but in a secondary source - a hadith.
He laid out the reasons for war in confronting evil, and use unilaterl force, if needed. Goodness that sounded like President George Bush. But, he contradicted himself - not in the speech - but in his actions by treating the men responsible for the first act of war on American soil since Pearl Harbor that took place on 9/11 as a criminal act.
The president never acknowledged the American people who elected him in the first place or who fight in the front lines against Islamic terrorists.
Lastly, for unknown reasons, he snubed the King of Norway by skipping the traditional lunch, skipped a news conference at Oslo's Grand Hotel and CNN's traditional interview with the prize winner and a childrens event in Oslo, where they used a cardboard cutout of him instead.

A blogger has revealed that a most serious breach of airline security has taken place:
In an alarming security breach in the United States, an airport security manual has been posted on the internet. The confidential airport passenger screening procedures offer insight into how to sidestep security.
The 90-page Transportation Security Administration (TSA) manual was marked "sensitive security information".
It had been sitting on the internet since March but the blunder has only just been made public by a blogger.
...But the release of this manual is not the only security loophole that has been highlighted today.
Eight years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the owners and operators of critical infrastructure, including airport shuttle buses, are not allowed to screen their employees against the terrorism watch list.

Hours after FOX News reported that the FBI is searching for five "missing students" from the Washington, D.C., area who may have gone overseas, Pakistani sources now say five people have been arrested in Pakistan.
At least three of those arrested were holding dual U.S.-Pakistani passports, according to an intelligence source. The men were detained after a raid on a house in the Punjab province, a source said.
...Families of the missing men first "raised concerns" with the FBI, which launched an investigation into the matter, one source said.
...The FBI in Minneapolis has been grappling with a possibly similar situation for more than a year.

Americans, here it comes - the strong fist of the socialistic-like Obama government smashes the head of Congress. Scary.
The EPA declared greenhouse gases a danger to public health on Monday which paves the way for them to act on their own outside of Congress. Who needs all three branches of the government, anyway? Not Obama.
The EPA has now warned, through an annonomous top EPA official who met with several reporters yesterday:
The Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn't move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a "command-and-control" role over the process in a way that could hurt business. The warning, from a top White House economic official who spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity, came on the eve of EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson's address to the international conference on climate change in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Jackson, however, tried to strike a tone of cooperation in her address Wednesday, explaining that the EPA's new powers to regulate greenhouse gases will be used to complement legislation pending in Congress, not replace it.
"This is not an 'either-or' moment. It's a 'both-and' moment," she said.
Time will tell.

There is an article title Col velo alla Casa Bianca(Veiled at the White House) published in la Rebbuplica in Italian about Dalia Mogahed, who is on President Obama's faith-based advisory council.:
The translation below is not perfect but you will understand the intent of the article was to show that Mogahed signifies a symbol of a new White House!
Dalia Mogahed is the first woman with a veil to be entering the White House. "I can not claim to be offended when they call me like that - (s)he says - but rather that the focus was more on my research and the reasons that led me to work for the president. And on my veil. But I have learned to accept that all watch that is that the media, especially Arab ones, have made me the symbol of a new White House. That includes, not excludes. And that respects Islam. I chose to be a symbol: but I realized that I can use this thing to make people understand who I am and what Muslims do in America. "
...The most delicate task of the Council to date has been to suggest guidelines for the speech in Cairo, with whom Obama has tried to bridge the gap of eight years President Bush has created between the United States and the Arab world: "I tried to think of what was at the heart of the conflict and I knew we needed to talk about respect. And the policy choices the United States who do not like Muslims. -- I sent my ideas to those who write the speeches for the President: It was nice to see that have been accepted..."
After Mogahed was on a British TV show by phone hosted by the Islamist supremacist group Hizb ut Tahrir discussing how her survey found most Muslim women wanted Sharia Law, she when on a U.S. media campaign to repair the damage and claimed she didn't know and was not an advisor to Obama.
...To Muslims who saw her there (at President Obama's speech) in Egypt , she was traveling with the president — even though she wasn't. To them, she'd written his speech — even though she'd only contributed a couple of paragraphs. To them, she was his Islamic adviser. She's not.

Last March, a number of Muslim men took it upon themselves to sentence a woman to death for adultery in their own "Islamic court". Lucky for her, she lived in a country where she was able to walk into a police station to report it. The men were arrested and are awaiting trial:
Nine men are awaiting trial in eastern Spain after allegedly sentencing a woman to death for adultery in an unofficial Islamic law court, a police spokeswoman said Monday. The woman walked into a police station in March saying she had escaped captors who had taken her to a remote house in Catalonia where they “tried” and “convicted” her for adultery, the spokeswoman from the Catalonia regional police force said.

Hizb ut Tahrir America reared its ugly supremist head shortly after President Obama took office when they held their first caliphate conference on July 19th in Chicago.
This evening I took a screen shot of their home page. If you scroll down the article, which was written by HT in Pakistan, it reads:
O Muslims of Pakistan! It is now high time for us to turn this miserable situation around and confound the enemies and their agents. America must be treated as an enemy state, which has waged war upon the Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan, facilitated India in its aggression and now ignited Fitna and chaos within Pakistan. America's embassy and consulates must be closed. Its intelligence and private military organisations must be expelled. There must be no logistic support, intelligence sharing or army to army contact with American forces. And the war in the tribal areas must be ended, so that our armed forces can be mobilized beyond them to the borders to pressurize the American forces to leave Afghanistan, a bold mobilization which will rally all the Muslims of the world and expose the agents and munafiqeen who ally with the kuffar...
Since HT America posted this on their home page - one has to assume these are their sentiments, as well.
When does free speech cross the line and become an incitement to act out against our country?

Let's take a moment to briefly review a week in the world of global jihad.
A number of people died in a blast in Syria this week and the government insists to the world it was "an accident." A tire exploded, they claimed or they denied it altogether.
Thirty-five people were killed in a blast at a mosque near the army headquarters in Pakistan yesterday. The Taliban claimed responsibility. Take a sec, if you will, and check out all the attacks that terrorized Pakistan recently.
A train was bombed last Friday in Russia, killing 26. The Chechen Mujahideen claimed responsibility.
In Somalia Thursday, a suicide bomber killed over 20. In case you haven't noticed - or just listen to ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC or NBC for your news - this terrorist group is hard at work to push forward Islamism - political Islam - through violence. They even recruit Westerners to join with them and have posted recruiting videos on YouTube.
Al-Shabab (Al-Shabaab) training camps could be fertile grounds for an attack on America:
...Training camps in the lawless nation of Somalia are attracting hundreds of foreigners, including Americans, and Somalis recruited by a local insurgent group linked to al-Qaida, according to local and U.S. officials. American officials and private analysts say the camps pose a security threat far beyond the borders of Somalia, including to the U.S. homeland.
...The threat posed by the training camps was underscored in federal court documents unsealed Nov. 23 in Minneapolis, home to a large Somali-American community. An indictment against several Somali-Americans who allegedly fought in Somalia said trainees at one camp included dozens of ethnic Somalis from Somalia and other African countries, Europe and the United States."
...The message is simple," Dahir Muhiyadiin, 18, said three months after finishing his training at a camp run by Somalia's main insurgent group. "We are taught how the Western infidels want to eradicate pure Muslims, about how the U.S. government does nothing as Israel harasses our Muslim Palestinians."
Many jihadists post their videos on YouTube to channels like JihadMediaTV, Mujahideenoneummah, the Muslim Defense Force, and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, for example. A recent video shows what was identified as an Taliban attack on a small base in Afghanistan. It was produced by Al Qaeda's media arm.
Jihadists are fighting to create Islamist controlled areas of the Philippines and martial law was imposed this week for the first time to control them.
Yemen is, also, at the forefront of Islamism where recently a former Guantanamo enemy combatant was martyred for the Islamist cause.
Robert Gates, the Secretary of Defense, on Friday warned in testimony that failure in Afghanistan would result in Taliban takeover and become a sanctuary for Al Qaeda. Right now, Europe, Canada and the United States are on high alert and work 24/7 to prevent the next terror attack. Islamic driven terror attacks occur daily somewhere in Pakistan or Afghanistan and other parts of the world. D a i l y.
Have all these jihadists perverted Islam and done so for years? The largest Islamist inter-governmental body in the world, the OIC's own Fiqh Council, approves of martyrdom to protect the Islamic creed! And doesn't history scream out to us that an Islamic hegemony that lasted centuries, was created by force, at times, and was an integral part of expanding Islamic rule?
Is another caliphate in the works? Duh???
Liberals, such as columnist Susan Campbell, insisted recently we are not a war with Muslim extremists. Good God Almighty, jihadists must be called what they are - oops were - and that is - Islamic martyrs who fight for the sake of Allah or to protect the Islamic creed and to expand the Muslim Ummah.
Sorry libs, but global jihadism threatens the entire world and is very real.

A major announcement was made today about the parent company of NBC and MSNBC News, NBC Universal:
Comcast and General Electric announced today that they have signed a definitive agreement to form a joint venture that will be 51 percent owned by Comcast, 49 percent owned by GE and managed by Comcast. The joint venture, which will consist of the NBC Universal (NBCU) businesses and Comcast’s cable networks, regional sports networks and certain digital properties and certain unconsolidated investments, will be well positioned to compete in an increasingly dynamic and competitive media and digital environment.
Comcast serves around 24 million cable users. It has been sued for interfering with Internet use; Comcast hit with class-action lawsuit over traffic blocking. The status of the lawsuit is unknown.
Politically, the CEO of Comcast, Brian Roberts, contributes primarliy to democratic candidates.
