Wow, who knew? The Salahis' have already been around Barack Obama.
Tareq Salahi and his wife Michaele attended the reception before the first Obama State Dinner without an invitation, as everyone already knows. But, did you also know Mr. Salahi is/was a board member of the American Task Force on Palestine as seen in this permanent archived page dated April 2008 (right side down), the last date available. The Canadian Free Press reported they found this out from a November 14th Google cache page, taken more recently. The archive page where Salahi's name first appears as a board member is dated July 28, 2005. The ATFP's position of Jerusalem was stated, at that time:
The objective of ATFP is the establishment of a Palestinian state living in peace and security alongside Israel, and an end of the Israeli occupation that began in 1967. ATFP is opposed to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands, but is not opposed to the state of Israel in its internationally recognized borders...The occupation of Arab East Jerusalem must end and it should serve as the capital of the future state of Palestine. West Jerusalem should serve as the capital of Israel...

The current home page of the American Task Force on Palestine reiterates Jerusalem is central to the issue of Palestine. See, Palestinians and their supporters want East Jerusalem as their capitol even though this is where the ancient Jewish temples are located. And, they want this despite the fact Palestine is never once mentioned in the Bible or the Quran, because it didn't exist then. On the other hand, Israel is mentioned in both books.
Tareq Salahi is pro-Palestine. This organization was first named American Committee on Jerusalem which was started by Rashid Khalidi, a former PLO operative Also, on the board was Abdul-Rahman Al-Amoudi who was sentenced to 23 years in prison for his activities with nations and organizations that have ties to terrorism.
Presidential candidate Barack Obama attended a going away dinner for Khalidi in 2003. It is alleged a video of the toast made to Khalidi by Obama was withheld by the L.A. Times which caused quite an uproar (see below).
According to the Canadian Free Press, “Party Crashers” had five-year relationship with Obama before state dinner:

There is nothing particularly nefarious about Khalidi other than he is of the mindset that the state of Israel is the root cause of all the problems of the middle east.
...Khalidi was the subject of controversy during the presidential campaign when the Los Angeles Times refused to release a video of a farewell dinner in his honor.
...--Ayers was also at this dinner along with his wife Bernadine Dohrn. The event was made notorious for its anti-Israeli, some say, anti-semitic speech's.
On this morning's NBC Today Show, the couple said they were invited and have documentation and that their lives have been destroyed. NBC parent company, NBC Universal, also owns the cable channel Bravo which plans to air the Real Housewives of Washington D.C., which Mrs. Salahi is associated.
Why do I have a nagging suspicion someone high-up slipped the Salahis' in the White House?
Update 12/2/09 9:20 AM CT: MSNBC has posted what appears to be a screen shot of an email from a Pentagon official who wrote she was trying to get the Salahis' tickets to the arrival ceremony and that the State Dinner, itself, was closed:

There are many instances of political leaders partnering with Islamists. However, it is mostly done by the liberal left.
During the Clinton Administration, the financial networks of Islamists in America was allowed to thrive and help fund jihadists.
Grover Norquist is not a political leader but a strategist so I'm not sure why he was brought up here.
A lot has been learned about the Islamist infiltration in our country since 9/11
