American born Naser Jason Abdo, 21, volunteered to be in the U.S. military but oddly refused to deploy to Afghanistan. Even odder he was granted status as a conscientious objector because of his religion. Abdo was then charged with possessing child porn and faced a possible court martial. Not too long after that he went missing in early July. But, not for long.
Abdo was arrested yesterday thanks to an alert clerk,a former policeman, at a gun shop inTexas:
"...Killeen police received a call from a gun shop owner about a suspicious man in the store who was asking questions about .40-caliber ammunition and then bought three boxes of 12-gauge ammunition and a magazine for a pistol, a defense official said.
He paid cash, took a cab to a surplus store and allegedly bought a military uniform, the official said..."
Weapons and other materials were found in his hotel room near Ft. Hood where he was arrested.

"...When authorities arrested Abdo Wednesday at the motel, court papers said, they found smokeless gunpowder, shotgun shells and pellets, two clocks, two spools of auto wire, an electric drill and two pressure cookers. There was epoxy and glue, tape, gloves, a battery and Christmas lights, with some of the items in his backpack
Abdo, court papers said, had saved an article titled, "Make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom..."
