The founder of U.S. Day of Rage, Alexa O'Brian, was interviewed recently about the far-left anti-corporate, anti-government protest that will begin on September 17th in the Wall Street area of Manahattan, New York. This protest/occupation is also known as Occupy Wall Street.
The hacker group Anonymous is also involved. Protesters are encouraged to brings tents to occupy the area for several months and the #OCCUPYWALLSTREET facebook page shows 6500 people plan to attend which is far short of their 20,000 goal. I also doubt New York City will allow tent cities to go up.
Organizers refer to this protest as (sic) America's Tahrir Square moment. Obviously, the far left with their Islamists buddies hate America. I'm thinking if this thing gets big it would help define the 2012 election since more people will realize that a good number of people on the far left are not pro-America. Who would want these kinds of people and their ideology in office?
O'Brian was interviewed by Dr. Ahmed Ghonim of Cario, Egypt. O'Brian proclaimd, at one point ,there "is no free press in the United States...":
In February, Dr. Ghanim interviewed Sec. of State Hillary Clinton during Egypt's Tahrir Square occupation which is posted on the State Department's website.
Anonymous aput out a video about the occupations:
The Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin about the hacker group Anonymous and the planned mass protests:
"...The DHS also mentioned three cyber-attacks and civil protests Anonymous has already announced. "Occupy Wall Street" is the first scheduled one, for Sept. 17. Announced by a group Adbusters in July and actively supported by Anonymous, the goal is to get 20,000 individuals to gather on Wall Street to protest various U.S. government policies. Similar rallies targeting financial districts are being planned in Madrid, Milan, London, Paris and San Francisco.
Another protest in October, also led by Adbusters, is scheduled to be held at the Washington, D.C. National Mall to mark the 10th anniversary of the war in Afghanistan. There is also the supposed Nov. 11 attack against Facebook and Project Mayhem, scheduled for Dec. 21, 2012, DHS warned. There are indications that Project Mayhem would be a combination of physical disruption and targeting of information systems.
