The 2011 holiday card sent out by Muneer Awad, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma, to state legislators, officials and others thanked them for their continued support to make Oklahoma a great "Home for the Holidays."
Wait a minute... What continued support?
There's only a couple of legislators on the far left this would fit. People like Ed Shadid, an Oklahoma City councilor and maybe a couple others in the legislature - but that's about it. Remember, Awad is the man who sued the state for passing SQ 755, a constitutional amendment that banned state courts from considering foreign laws in their decisions, including sharia LAW. Muneer Awad attacked state legislators using CAIR's vile name-calling bullying tactics with words like ignorant, hate, bigots and Islamophobic. Surely most people see how CAIR tries to shift focus from the real issue with this hatefull tactic to try to shut people up. Oklahomans first heard of Awad when he sued the state shortly after moving there so he set a combative and hateful first impression for the majority of its citizens.
On the Rachel Maddow show, Muneer Awad had the gall to claim the campaign to pass SQ 755 included violence (there was NONE!). In August, he said the amendment made "Islam the target" (it didn't).
Awad works for an organization started by officials of the Islamic Association of Palestine, an overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood that was eventually shut down for sending money to support a terrorist organization - Hamas and found guilty in the death of a Jewish teenager, David Boim. CAIR's co-founder and executive director, Nihad Awad, came from this organization. Muneer Awad has insisted all money to fund CAIR Oklahoma is raised in the state. Yet, Nihad Awad solicited money to fight the state! Last year CAIR lost their tax-exempt status for failing to file proper IRS documents on their financial backers. More sinister are CAIR efforts that try to dictate how U.S. national security efforts are carried out and has utter contempt for the FBI which was reflected in one of Muneer Awad's tweets recently that said the FBI radicalized more terrorists that Al Qaeda-linked Anwar Awlaki!
Is Awad home for the holidays? Nope, he twitter publicly he went to Houston to attend activist meetings on sharia in during Christmas weekend:
Update: Awad tweets he'll be "home in Atlanta" for New Year's!
This holiday card included information about their annual banquet on March 31 at the Marriott Hotel at 3233 NW Expressway in Oklahoma City to celebrate their commitment to "unapologetic activism" for 2012. There's no mention about living in harmony. Sigh.
