CAIR New York has announced its new executive director will be Muneer Awad, Awad is currently the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma and is the man who appears to have moved to the state for the purpose of suing it over SQ755, a constitutional amendment that would forbid state courts from considering foreign laws in its decisions, including sharia law which is the ruling system in many Islamic countries. Throughout Awad's arguments in court, it seemed to me, he claimed sharia law was the same as sharia guidance which is something I don't believe he was challenged on, at all. They are not the same thing. I wasn't in the courtroom but that's what I got from how it was reported in the press.
CAIR New York has been very active in trying to dismantle some of the anti-terror security efforts in New York City, a top target for Islamic terrorists. Its civil right manager, Cyrus McGoldrick is a Muslim activist who tweets about being a radical.
With Muneer Awad heading CAIR New York, I expect more lawsuits against New York City, its police department, the FBI going forward. Awad, for the most part, is the typical abrasive Muslim bully who uses name-calling to steam-roll over others as he goes after the target. He's typical of the type of Muslim activist CAIR hires. He is also effective at partnering with the left for political maneuvering.
Muneer Awad, by the way, belives the FBI radiclazies more terrorists than Anwar Awlaki!
CAIR was started by leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood's Islamic Association of Palestine. Its national executive director, Nihad Awad, is one of those leaders.
