Shame on Mattel. I have to take a stand on this and say I will never buy another product from this company. There's nothing in the Quran that demands a woman cover her entire face or body - only to dress modestly. Repressive Islamic regimes actually force women to dress in full face cover-ups.

Yesterday, the White House tried to ban Fox News from a press pool event. Four members of the pool, CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS said if they left Fox out they would leave! The White House trelented but reduced the interview time from 5 minutes to 2 minutes per reporter.
The action by the White House gives, what appears to be, their desire and attempt to become a dictatorship that controls the press. This is a clear violation of America's free press and is stunning.
Congratulations must be given to the news networks who stood up to the White House for what was right. Thank you.

The House voted Thursday to allow detainees held at the American base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to be transferred to the U.S. for trial, boosting President Barack Obama's efforts to close the detention facility.
Democratic congressional leaders attached the measure permitting prisoner transfers to a $42.8 billion appropriations bill for the Homeland Security Department. That allowed lawmakers to vote for the broader bill instead of just on the Guantanamo issue. The measure now moves to the Senate.
Dozens of Democrats who two weeks ago voted for a non-binding resolution against prisoner transfers from Guantanamo voted Thursday for the appropriations bill enabling such transfers. The tally was 307-114.

Last night a state department official told AP the tent might be used for entertaining by Gadaffi, but he would not be sleeping there.

Presidential Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett stated they had their eyes on Jones since his days as an activist in Oakland as a talent they wanted on their team! Jones' resignation does not, in any way, negate Jarrett's worrisome endorsement of him (near end of video). It only raises more questions about Obama's judgment and that of his team which includes the hiring of two other czars, one of which is Carol Browner who is still listed as a Member of Socialist International Commission for a Sustainable World Society (towards bottom of page) and FCC's Diversity Chief and General Counsel, Mark Lloyd, a former senior fellow at the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, who wants to change the structure and authority of the FCC that will silence some of the conservative voices over the air.
David Axelrod said on Meet the Press that the political environment is rough and that these things get magnified. Magnified? Are you kidding me?

Jones was introduced by Presidential Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett (near end of video) as someone who they have been watching since he first started out in Oakland, CA. Was that around the time this man was a self-described black nationalist activist and communist in California, or just after?
Update 9/4/09: Jones denied he was a 9/11 Truther but gave no explanation why his name had been on their truth statement since 2004. Reports say he didn't know what he signed. However, the Washington Times stated: "Mike Berger, a spokesman for 911Truth.org, told the Washington Times over the phone that all of the signers had been verified by their group. He said 9/11Truth.org board members spoke with each person on the list by phone or through email to individually confirm they had added their name to that list.” “I think in most cases they spoke to them personally,” he added. “No one’s name was put on that list without them knowing it.”
Aside from this, there is no statement or words that I've heard coming directly from Van Jones assuring us that he is not a communist. Why didn't the White House address this as well?

But David Albright, president of the Institute for Science and International Security, a group that tracks nuclear proliferation, told the Times that releasing information on nuclear fuels "can provide thieves or terrorists inside information that can help them seize the material...."

Gary S. Chafetz is a contributor to Huffington Post and in his latest article he praised President Obama for his willingness to talk to the Taliban and others.
At first, when I glanced over the title, Why Not Talk to Bin Laden, I thought a person of reason would spell out how foolish an idea this was. But, I was wrong. Chafetz believes we should talk to Osama Bin Laden and even volunteers for the job!

Since bin Laden is the one person most likely to have the power and prestige to prevent future terrorist attacks against the United States and its allies, it would be well worth the effort for us to find a way to talk with him directly.

Mr. Chafetz, has not done his homework on the Islamic ideology that seeks to impose Islamic law over the entire world in the decades and centuries to come backed, in part, by billions from oil rich Islamic countries, Islamic leaders and many Islamic groups. He has no idea how pervasive this ideology is throughout the Islamic Ummah. He should spend some of his misguided time seriously studying the caliphate in-the-making, the Saudi-backed OIC, who seeks to impose Sharia law that criminalizes criticism of Islam on non-Muslim countries through the U.N., as I write this post. Chafetz should also study the infiltration into America by Islamists, often aided by far left groups, whose ultimate goal is to eventually impose their will by chipping away at our freedoms one law, one regulation, in one locality, at a time.
Mr. Chafetz is foolish to think a chat will change such deeply believed Islamic ideology backed by verses in the Quran and Hadiths to impose Islam over all other religions.

The madness countinues in Oklahoma since a law was passed requiring an ultra-sound prior to an abortion. A Tulsa abortion service sued the state of Oklahoma claiming the law, which has never gone into effect as a result, is unconstitutional. It also claims it would have to shut down its baby killing services.
Oklahoma County District Judge Vicki Robertson refused to dismiss the lawsuit on Thursday.
My God, can someone in authority please stand up for the unborn? Life is so very precious and God-giving. Can we, as a civilized, largely Christian society, not honor this more?
If a young woman wants to kill their own heart-beating baby, perhaps seeing this living miracle before their eyes prior to it being sucked out of their body might actually save a life or two.

What could possibly go wrong with this brilliant idea? Pupils told to think like a suicide bomber, Little Green Football wrote as a lead in to an article in the London Telegraph wherein we learn students are being encouraged to think like a suicide bomber.
The exercise is part of a teaching pack aimed at secondary school pupils that has been adopted by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It requires children to prepare a presentation on the July 7 atrocity – in which 52 innocent people died – “from the perspective of the bombers”..."
A group of NYU students called Take Back NYU! Coalition took over the university cafeteria on Wednesday who seek certain demands be met. Based on some of these demands, I would say a few of the students involved are Muslims.
Could this possibly be just one sign of things to come from some of the Muslim youth in America? How wonderfully well they are representing the "Religion of Peace". I bet their parents are so proud.
There is currently no access to the power outlets in the occupied space. The lights are still on, but until further notice, electricity is unavailable to the students inside.

About two dozen members of the Take Back NYU! Coalition have been holed up inside a campus cafeteria since Wednesday night. And despite threats of expulsion and arrest if they didn't leave the building by 1 a.m. Friday, they still haven't budged.
"We're trying to take back our school," one student told the Daily News.
The group wants greater transparency in the university's budget, scholarships for students from Palestine and for surplus supplies to be donated to the Islamic university in Gaza, according to a list of talking points the group handed out to demonstrators.
New York University says the three-day long sit-in at a university cafeteria has ended.
About 20 members of a student group Take Back NYU had been holed up in the cafeteria of the Kimmel Student Center since Wednesday night.
All students who did not leave by 1 o'clock this morning were suspended.
NYU administrators and students have different stories of how the protest ended just after noon Friday.
"We're grateful it ended peacefully, we did not concede to their demands," said an NYU spokesperson. "We're glad the students seem safe, and we're ready to open and get ready for business on Monday."
"We were basically stormed by security guards and administration," said one Take Back NYU member. "We were physically manhandled by both security guards and administration members. In some cases picked up thrown to the ground ganged up on, four to one."
At around 2pm today, members of Take Back NYU! left the Kimmel Center for University Life, ending a 40 hour+ occupation. Their action made national and international news, and showcased the real power of the new student movement sweeping the globe.
No doubt NYU will begin attempting disciplinary action, but no suspensions, expulsions or arrests can contain what began in the last two days. This fight will carry on in the hands of the dozens of people who made it inside, and the hundreds more who came out to support the occupation. NYU showed it’s irrational need to defend secrecy and its exclusive hold on power, and that alone will drive this movement forward.
For everyone showing support: the real lesson here is that you can act and you can make a difference. Take the lessons from the occupation on to your own struggle, and begin to act yourself. Onward.
"An Ohio transgender woman has pleaded guilty to reckless homicide for exercising her 73-year-old husband to death in an apartment complex swimming pool.
Middlefield police say surveillance video shows 41-year-old Christine Newton-John pulling James Mason around the pool by his arms and legs and preventing him from leaving. Mason had a heart attack on June 2 just after the extended swim session.
Police Chief Joseph Stehlik says a deputy investigated the death because of previous complaints that Mason was abused. Newton-John pleaded guilty on Thursday. She faces up to five years in prison..."
"A St. Paul school official said a middle school teacher used extremely poor judgment in describing a Holocaust simulation in her class.
Lee Vang, who teaches eighth grade English at Hazel Park Middle School, sent an e-mail to other district workers last week that carried the subject line, "Holocaust Simulation -- Live out your dreams!"
The event has students wear yellow stars, as Jews were forced to do in Nazi Germany during World War II. The lesson requires parental approval to participate.
The e-mail goes on to say it will be "sheer pleasure for the staff being themselves as Nazi Officers and becoming Adolfs."
The e-mail ends: "Any more ideas? Think of your most favorite student and what you'd like to do and I'll do it to these students for you. Ha!"
District spokesman Howie Padilla said the tone of the e-mail was "totally inappropriate" and action would be taken. He wouldn't comment on specific discipline for Vang, however. Kare11 NBC

"He is one of a handful of al Qaeda deputies in Yemen," the official said. "He is one of the top terrorists."

The governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, and his chief of staff were arrested around 6 this morning on corruption charges involving the filling of Barack Obama's senate seat and other charges:
"Gov. Blagojevich considered the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama “golden” and vowed he was “just not giving it up for [expletive] nothing. I’m not gonna do it,” according to federal charges unsealed today against the governor.
Blagojevich held the power to fill the vacancy and, he made clear, if he couldn’t find anyone willing to pay for it, “I can always use it. I can parachute me there,” a federal affidavit states.
In exchange for the Senate appointment, Blagojevich allegedly discussed obtaining:
• A substantial salary for himself at a either a non-profit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions.
• Placing his wife on paid corporate boards where he speculated she might garner as much as $150,000 a year.
• Promises of campaign funds — including cash up front.
• A cabinet post or ambassadorship for himself.
Throughout the intercepted conversations, Blagojevich also allegedly spent significant time weighing the option of appointing himself to the open Senate seat and expressed a variety of reasons for doing so, including: frustration at being “stuck” as governor; a belief that he will be able to obtain greater resources if he is indicted as a sitting Senator as opposed to a sitting governor; a desire to remake his image in consideration of a possible run for President in 2016; avoiding impeachment by the Illinois legislature; making corporate contacts that would be of value to him after leaving public office; facilitating his wife’s employment as a lobbyist; and generating speaking fees should he decide to leave public office.
As most of you know, a number of Muslim detainees previously released from Guantanamo Bayin Cubahave gone on to fight against our military in the Middle East. Now the left-leaning/progressive war pacifists within the Obama team are considering bringing them to the United States. There are actually considering bring some, if not all of them, to Leavenworth, Kansas! This is a mere 264 miles north of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Worse yet, it's only 22 miles from Kansas City.

Why is he sticking his nose into the state of Kansas, anyway? It doesn't make sense.

The town of Leavenworth is paying attention to this possibility and speaking up:
"Leavenworth city commissioners expressed their concerns regarding a national issue when they met on Tuesday.
Based on a proposed bill by a congressman and comments by the president-elect’s transition team, commissioners discussed the possibility of detainees in Guantanamo Bay being transferred to the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks on Fort Leavenworth.
Leavenworth City Manager Scott Miller reviewed concerns that were addressed by U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Topeka, in articles and letters that appeared in the Leavenworth Times. He also made some additional observations regarding the USDB’s close proximity to the Missouri River, a major rail line and several state and federal highways, as well as the city of Leavenworth."
As I write, Danny Glover is being glorified on CNN about a new film he is involved or something. I couldn't catch the name even though I tried. But, I remembered something about Glover and Hugh Chavez that had stuck in my mind.
"Venezuelan lawmakers are donating US$19.7 million (€12.4 million) to back an independent movie directed by actor Danny Glover, a supporter of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
The National Assembly on Wednesday (April) approved US$9.8 million (€6.2 million) for "Toussaint," a film about Haitian rebel leader Toussaint Louverture, after previously approving US$9.9 million (€6.2 million). The most recent funding was announced on the Assembly's Web site.
The movie will be produced by Glover's independent company Louvertoure Films with support from the Cinema Villa, Venezuela's state film studio. Louvertoure Films produces movies of "historical relevance, social purpose, commercial value and artistic integrity," according to the company's Web site.

Michelle Raheja has stopped a four decade-old school tradition at Thanksgiving after she complained to school officials in Claremont, California that for kindergartners to dress up as Pilgrims and Indians is demeaning to the Indians. She called it racist stereotyping.
Did this spoil sport overlook that the tradition of Thanksgiving included the sharing of the meal between the Indians and Pilgrims?
This woman's actions are demeaning to the tradition of Thanksgiving.
Shame on her.

Protesters descended Tuesday on Condit Elementary School in Claremont, tersely arguing over the construction-paper pilgrim and Native American costumes worn by kindergartners at a decades-old Thanksgiving tradition. Police were called to the school when tensions rose.
Officers also were monitoring Claremont Unified Supt. David Cash's home after he received hate mail and told police that he feared for his safety.
Way to go Raheja. You must be very proud of yourself and how you advanced the Thanksgiving spirit.
It makes no sense to me to bring 17 Muslim Chinese "Uighur" detainees to the United States to live! Does it to you? These men were picked-up in Pakistan!
This is history making, for it's the first time any "War on Terror" prisoners will be brought to the United States.
You can thank U.S. District Judge Ricardo M. Urbina in Washington, D.C. for this strange decision. He was appointed by President Clinton. But in fairness, the government had ruled they were not enemy combatants and would likely face persecussion in China.

Update 10/10/08: The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit issued the emergency stay late Wednesday at the request of the Bush administration to block, at least, temporarily this judge's orders!

Update 02/18/09: A U.S. appeals court overturned a judge’s order that the government bring 17 ethnic Chinese Muslims held at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, prison camp to the U.S. and release them.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled the judge lacked authority to order the Bush administration last year to release the Uighurs into the U.S. They have been held for almost seven years at the prison camp, which was set up at the U.S. Navy base on land leased from Cuba to detain suspected terrorists after the Sept. 11 al-Qaeda attacks..."

An American newspaper, the Washington Post, published an article by Mahmoud al-Zagar, co-founder of the terrorist organization, Hamas, on April 17th!
In the article, this Hamas terrorist blames Israel for all their problems. Even if Israel fires back at them after Hamas sends rockets into Israel, it's Israel's fault. These terrorists are extremely deceitful, their minds and conscious are corrupted to the core.
Palestinians are fighting a total war waged on us by a nation that mobilizes against our people with every means at its disposal -- from its high-tech military to its economic stranglehold, from its falsified history to its judiciary that "legalizes" the infrastructure of apartheid.

However, Hamas fails to recognize the truth. Palestine is not mentioned in the Torah, the New Testament or the Quran. Not one time. The Islamic Ottoman Empire in their quest to expand Islamic rule drove the children of Israel out of THEIR land and settled the area for Muslims to rules over.
After the collapse of the Islamic empire, the International community restored the land for the expelled people of Israel in 1948. The Muslim world also refused to allow the creation of a separate state for Palestine. They want to rule over all the land and the thus place the Jewish people in Israel under Islamic rule. Hamas always paints themselves as the abused and wrongly attacked victims of actions overwhelmingly caused by their own doing.
And, no sooner than Carter's peace meeting ended with this terrorist group, an Hamas suicide bomber blew himself up at a crossing point between Gaza and Israel.
What a fool Carter is but it would be to the advantage of Hamas and their image in the world to work something out with Carter in order to make Bush look bad and the Democrats look good. Nothing would please Islamists more than to get a liberal Democrat in office:
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter set out plans for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel at a meeting with Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal on Friday.
Carter held more than four hours of talks with Meshaal on Friday in one of the highest-profile meetings between the Islamist group that rules Gaza and a Western figure.
His aides planned to return for further talks with Hamas officials on Friday night, senior Hamas figure Mohammad Nazzal said. Carter's willingness to meet Hamas officials has drawn criticism from Israel and the United States.
The second round of talks would discuss details of proposals put forward by Carter and also examine the issue of the release of an Israeli soldier held by Hamas.
Hamas was open to the release of the soldier, Gilad Shalit, "but not without a price", Nazzal said. Hamas has previously demanded Israel free hundreds of jailed Palestinians in return for his release.
Update 4/21/08: EXILED Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal was last night hinting at a strategic shift in the militant group's stance towards Israel, which could see the outlawed organisation brought into the imperiled Middle East peace process.
An aide to Mr Meshaal, speaking from the Hamas politburo's base in the Syrian capital, Damascus, said he would tacitly approve a series of proposals aimed at a truce with Israel, put forward by former US president Jimmy Carter during two controversial meetings last week.
The moves stopped short of Hamas dropping its refusal to recognise Israel's existence -- which has in turn led successive Israeli governments to refuse to talk. However, Mr Meshaal was expected to announce significant progress on brokered negotiations about a prisoner exchange.
Hamas was also expected to drop its opposition to troubled peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority led by its President, Mahmoud Abbas, who runs the West Bank.
At the same time, Hamas leaders were likely to agree to rein in rocket fire into Israel by militant groups under their influence in Gaza, in return for the lifting of a crippling economic blockade. theaustralian

Update 4/21/08: The former US president Jimmy Carter today said Hamas was prepared to accept Israel's right to "live as a neighbour next door in peace".
Carter was speaking after meeting Khaled Meshal, an influential leader within the militant organisation, in Damascus last week.
"There's no doubt that both the Arab world and Hamas will accept Israel's right to exist in peace within 1967 borders," Carter said.
However, Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, later said Carter's comments "do not mean that Hamas is going to accept the result of the referendum".
Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., wants Carter's U.S. passport pulled because he met Thursday with members of Hamas in the Middle East.
...As a House member, Myrick lacks the authority to revoke the passport of a former commander-in-chief.
"That's up to the secretary of state," Myrick said Thursday in an interview on the Fox News Network. "But, frankly, I wanted to send a strong message, because we have a policy in this country about Hamas. And he is just deliberately undermining the policy, and it's wrong."
Carter, author of the controversial book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," has said diplomacy with Hamas is essential to any effort to broker peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

On the same day new Hamas recruits march in a street in Hamas-controlled Gaza City, Jimmy Carter infuriated Israel officials by embracing a Hamas leader. Carter has thumbed his nose at the U.S. with his defiance to meet with the terrorist group Hamas.
AFP reports White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said that Carter should meet Mashaal "in his own private capacity, as a private citizen, [and] not representing the United States," and that President George W. Bush "is not a supporter of having conversations with Hamas."
In 2006 Carter said "there's a good chance" that Hamas, which has operated a network of successful social and charitable organizations for Palestinians, could become a nonviolent organization. The 39th U.S. president said he met with Hamas leaders in Ramallah, in the West Bank, after last week's elections. "They told me they want to have a peaceful administration. They want to have a unity government, bring in Fatah members and independent members," Carter said. But he added that "what they say and what they do is two different matters." (CNN)
Duh, Carter, if anything Hamas has gotten more violent. Why would you meet with them since you've already acknowledge they lie.

Well, well, Jimmy Carter was pictured standing next to rockets fired into Israel by Hamas and was quoted as condemning the the actions (see previous post) now another terrorist group (smaller than Hamas) in Gaza is taking great offense to Carter's statement.
Everyone needs to keep in mind in 1948 when Israel was set up as a state by the UN, a separate state for Palestine was drawn up. The Islamic world refused it. The Palestinians have been forced to live as they do by the actions of their fellow Muslims because it was they who refused to accept that Israel had any right to their biblical land.
The Islamic Jihad (Holy War) movement in Gaza has slammed on Tuesday the statements of former U.S. president Jimmy Carter, after he termed the rockets attacks on Israel as "a big crime."
Carter, who is visiting in the region, paid a visit to the southern Israeli town of Sderout, which has been a subject for homemade rockets' attacks carried out by Gaza militants. Carter said rockets "are a crime against humanity."
Dawood Shihab, spokesman for the Islamic Jihad movement in Gaza, said in response that "Carter's statement of describing resistance as a crime against humanity is in itself an overthrow on the morals of humanity."
"Why didn't he (Carter) go to visit the West Bank to see the settlements, the wall and the roadblocks, and why he didn't go to visit Gaza to see how one million and a half Palestinians are slowly killed by the blockade," said Shihab. "Carter should visit the Israeli jails and see how 12,000 Palestinian prisoners are held in prison for no reason and living in miserable conditions, instead of giving the occupation excuses for its crimes," said Shihab.
He, meanwhile, slammed Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's visit to Qatar and her meeting with Arab leaders, saying that "this visit is condemned and unaccepted as long as the occupation continues its crimes against our people."
