And now for some flute music - by a robot!
Wow! Some people nearly got fried in the flaming wake - or what ever you call it.

If you didn't get a chance to watch the lighting of the torch at the Olympics last night, I found a video of it. The last man to get the torch as it was taken around the stadium was hoisted up to the very top of the stadium where a large video started rolling across the top perimeter. The man then starts running in air as he was moved along with the video all around the entire top of the stadium! The video isn't as clear as it was on my TV but you can see it fairly well.
It was nice, wasn't it, to see so many nations join together as one. It was the best opening I believe I've ever seen.
This was posted by datboymike1 on You Tube. He's 15.
Oh, yeah. This is an awesome video about the men and women who make our military the great power it is today! Their hard work, which always is for the pursuit of freedom, must never be forgotten.

This is a cool video. It's 1.31 minutes:
Ukulele virtuoso John King performs a classic John Philip Sousa march for your 4th of July enjoyment:
Thanks to KW who sent this to me at the end of March. OK, I admit it, I'm very behind on reading all the e-mail I get.
I've been trying to find the video I saw yesterday of the huge rainbow over the nation's capitol that appeared shortly after Tim Russert's memorial service where they had just heard "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" played by Bruce Springstein. It was breathtaking. I did find a picture of the rainbow.
Update 6/20/08: Success at last! The video of this beautiful rainbow can be viewed here (watch a commerical first) or here (commercial free).
While looking for the video, I came across a video of a gifted musician, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, who also performed "Somewhere over the Rainbow. It kind of fits in with everything. this video a memorial to Israel who passed away in 1997.
It's touching.
Whoever posted this on YouTube said they tried it and it didn't work. So how was this done?
Update: 6/7/08: Now I found two more videos with cell phones popping corn. Each phone has to be called before the corn pops. Is this a joke?
On April 25, 1976, during a game at Dodger Stadium, two protesters, a man and his son, ran into the outfield and tried to set fire to an American flag they had brought with them.
This video is off the beaten path:

A tornado in Kansas is followed by veteran storm chaser, Jim Reed, on May 8, 2008. At one point the tornado starts coming towards them and a frantic backward moving car tries to outrun it. then it stops!!! Jim gets out of his car and runs towards it.
It's time to change things up a bit from the hate of Islamists.
I love the song "Gloria" by Laurie Branigan!
Isn't music a wonderful gift? It will put a bounce in your step:
I heard Kathleen Battle for the first time today at the White House ceremony for the Pope. She is a beautiful woman with an exquisite voice.
To change things up a bit, I found the entire Twilight Zone season one and two online at CBS.com! The show aired on the CBS television network from 1959 to 1964.
Here is a link to the first episode, Where is Everybody? One slight annoyance, there is a commercial or two in the video.
Not only that, but Star Trek season 1, 2 and 3 are online as well. Treakkers will be so happy but probably already know about it, I'm sure.
For you Jeff

On this day in 1973, Lt. Commander John McCain was released from a North Vietnamese prison.
The missile that shot down his fighter-bomber broke both arms and a leg, and he nearly drowned after parachuting into a lake. He was then bayoneted and beaten. McCain refused his captors' demands that he divulge military information in return for medical treatment. Despite being tortured, McCain also refused repeated offers from the communists to free him ahead of other servicemen who had been imprisoned longer.

The pilot of this jet had to abort an attempted landing in Germany after touching down a couple of time because of severe cross-winds! The Airbus A320-200 Lufthansa nearly crashed during a crosswind approach on the runway 23 at the airport Hamburg International (EDDH) on March 1st, 2008 in Germany. The left wing appears to have grazed or touched the runway, at one point. After that he tries again and then guns the engines to get it back into the air. It was an instant and correct decision on his part. Thankfully, he had enough speed to get it back up. I can only imagine how the passengers felt, swaying to and fro, and I'm sure were very thankful for the skill of their pilot. He landed it safely after about 15 minutes.
You can see him seriously "crabbing" (turning into the wind) as he approaches.

I got this in an email:
Logan is a 13 year-old boy who lives on a ranch in a very small town in Nebraska. Logan listens to Christian Radio station 89.3FM KSBJ which broadcasts from Houston, TX. Logan called the radio station distraught because he had to take down a calf . His words have wisdom beyond his years.
Since airing the audio of the phone call and now the making of the video clip, it has taken on a life of its own. People are forwarding it all over the world. We encourage you to share the love of Christ with anyone you can.

I have a friend who has a friend who has a relative at NASA who sent them pictures from the space shuttle. The e-mail was dated in October.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all our readers!

Here is a close up of the Carol of The Bells Light show. One of the most challenging things was the two story tall mega-light tree with 20,000 lights and getting the lights to change color sequentially while they rotated around the tree.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to the readers of zTruth.
A simple children’s prayer of thanks
Thank you God for all that grows,
Thank you for the sky's rainbows,
Thank you for the stars that shine,
Thank you for these friends of mine,
Thank you for the moon and sun,
Thank you God for all you've done!
We Give Thanks
Our Father in Heaven,
We give thanks for the pleasure
Of gathering together for this occasion.
We give thanks for this food
Prepared by loving hands.
We give thanks for life,
The freedom to enjoy it all
And all other blessings.
As we partake of this food,
We pray for health and strength
To carry on and try to live as You would have us.
This we ask in the name of Christ,
Our Heavenly Father.

What a great time to show you what Diane from Denver sent to me. It is an awesome video. Just start watching it and you'll likely want to see the whole thing. It's so worth it.
On Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful - enjoy.
Here is a link to the history of Thanksgiving.
I still can't believe this happened in our country because I thought we were safe from such an attack.
Let's pause in silence today to honor the memory of all those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001 and to all those who worked so hard to find survivors and helped their fellow citizens on that fateful day.
Our country was changed on that day because of the actions of Islamic forces that want to take over the world and destroy all democracies.
..."President Bush in 2002 declared the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks as Patriot Day, saying the nation should remember and honor people of all stripes who became heroes on that day.
"We will not forget the events of that terrible morning nor will we forget how Americans responded in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in the skies over Pennsylvania -- with heroism and selflessness; with compassion and courage; and with prayer and hope," Bush wrote in the proclamation.
"Inspired by the heroic sacrifices of our firefighters, rescue and law enforcement personnel, military service members, and other citizens, our nation found unity, focus, and strength." CNN
Below is a photo collage of the victims of 911. I wish I could make it bigger but I cant.
This is a video that's around a year old but I just discovered it on YouTube. Its entertaining and sad at the same time. It's sad to see our country being treated with such disrespect. It's is entertaining because the song, music, and video is well done.
