Janeane Garofalo, whom I consider a little known actress, went on the Keith Olbermann show, which is on MSNBC, on April 16th following the hundreds of tea parties held across the nation.  Garofalo called tea party attendees "a bunch of teabagging rednecks!  She added those who attended actually hated a black man in the White House.

Ms. Garofalo is an employee of Fox Broadcasting and appears on the TV show 24.

Let's take action about her disgusting tirade by not stooping to the level of the usual left-wing name-calling smear, but instead contact News Corp and Fox Broadcasting Company to express your disgust in a polite manner concerning the hate-mongering of one of their employees:

Janeane Garofalo calls Tea Party attendees racist and tea banging rednecks!

Janeane Garofalo, a little known actress and comedian, who believes she is far superior anf smarter than anyone who is conservative, rips into the most disturbing and offensive rant about Americans who attended the Tea Party protests held across American last Wednesday.  Keith Olberman was just as pitiful and clearly doesn't speak well for MSNBC. 

Garofalo who has/had a role in Fox's show 24, no doubt, offended half its audience.  This is a woman without a college degree who, ironically,  has a tatoo on her arm that reads "think".

I "think" I will never watch anything she is in again.  No, no  scratch that, I know I will never watch any show or movie she has a part.

This helps explain why MSNBC does poorly in ratings, don't you think?

Shocking news and a blow to Christians to hear the Iowa Supreme Court has struck down a law that banned same sex couples from marrying!  This is a first for the mid-west.

President Obama declares we are losing in Afghanistan; plans to reach out to Taliban terrorist group!

"President Obama declared in an interview that the United States was not winning the war in Afghanistan and opened the door to a reconciliation process in which the American military would reach out to moderate elements of the much as it did with Sunni militias in Iraq..."

This excerpt is from a New York Times interview strategically timed to come out over the weekend, an obvious tactic to lessen the impact.

We all knew these terrorist groups wanted Obama in office, right?  In this sense, the majority who voted for Obama have got what they apparently asked for - an appeaser of terrorists.  Islamists are on cloud 9!

Can we expect, eventually, there will be chats with Hezbollah and Hamas, as well?  And  their declassification as a designated terrorist organization to follow in short order? 

I wonder what hoops President Obama will be willing to jump through for these Islamist thugs?

Appeasement gets you no where with these brutal beasts other than giving up one concession after another concession.

American Textbook Council: Islam is distorted in some school books!

The American Textbook Council has a new report out about how Islam is portrayed in some school textbooks and it is concerning:

The review asks:

• How do today's history textbooks characterize Islam's foundations and creeds?
• What changes have occurred in textbook material written before 2001? What additions have been made?
• What do textbooks say about terrorism? What do they say about the September 11 air attack on the United States? About weapons of mass destruction? Do textbooks outline Islamic challenges to global security? Do they describe and explain looming dangers to the United States and world?

The review concluded:

• Many political and religious groups try to use the textbook process to their advantage, but the deficiencies in Islam-related lessons are uniquely disturbing. History textbooks present an incomplete and confected view of Islam that misrepresents its foundations and challenges to international security.
• Misinformation about Islam is more pronounced in junior high school textbooks than high school textbooks.
• Outright textbook errors about Islam are not the main problem. The more serious failure is the presence of disputed definitions and claims that are presented as established facts.
• Deficiencies about Islam in textbooks copyrighted before 2001 persist and in some cases have grown worse. Instead of making corrections or adjusting contested facts, publishers and editors defend misinformation and content evasions against the record. Biases persist. Silences are profound and intentional.
• Islamist activists use multiculturalism and ready-made American political movements, especially those on campus, to advance and justify uncritical Islam-related content makeover in history textbooks.
• Particular fault rests with the publishing corporations, the boards of directors, and executives who decide what editorial policies their companies will pursue.

Stand for Israel

The conflict between Israel and Palestine is largely a religious one. This is how it is written in the Hamas charter, which is supported by the Muslim Brotherhood, a global Islamist movement and organization, and others in the Muslim world and even here in America.

For example, the largest Islamic charity in the U.S., the Holy Land Foundation, was shut down and its operators were convicted of supplying millions to Hamas.

The director of CAIR-OK, Razi Hashmi, said during the recent Israeli/Gaza conflict and I quote: "America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s "illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers" (NewsOK).

Most of the Islamic societies in Oklahoma have partnered with this organization which is an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America. It was named an unidicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case for this reason.

A good number of Muslim religious leaders have ruled that to martyr oneself to kill an Israeli is NOT TERRORISM.  This includes the Islamic Figh Council,  a subsidiary of the Saudi-based Organization of Islamic Conference, the largest Islamic international organization in the world. It even has a permanent delegation to the United Nations. Other than the United Nations, it is the largest international organization of any kind! It's a caliphate organization in the making, folks. Start paying attention to it more as it tries to impose Sharia law through the United Nations on non-Muslim countries. This is taking place now in the free speech area.  And it is probably only the beginning.

"The Islamic Fiqh Council asserts that jihad and martyr operations done to defend the Islamic creed, dignity, freedom and the sovereignty of states is not considered terrorism but a basic form of necessary defense for legitimate rights. Thus the oppressed peoples who are subjected to occupation have the right to seek their freedom via all means possible.

The Islamic Fiqh Council stresses that martyr operations are a form of jihad, and carrying out those operations is a legitimate right that has nothing to do with terrorism or suicide. Those operations become obligatory when they become the only way to stop the aggression of the enemy, defeat it, and grievously damage its power.

It is not allowed to use terms such as “jihad”, “terrorism”, and “violence”, which have become frequently used by today’s mass media as scientific terms, to mean other connotations beyond their basic well known meanings."  Islamonline

So for ANY Muslim leader or organization to claim they are against terrorism seems incomplete, at this point. They must clarify that martyring oneself for Islam and the sake of Allah is wrong AND that it is wrong to martyr oneself to kill an Israeli.

The use of the standard partial Quranic verse, "there is no compulsion in religion" that we often hear in America is an attempt to show you there is not a problem with Islam, so don't sweat it. However, there are many verses of war and Islamic supremacy in the Quran. Cherry picking verses from the Quran can be very deceptive. 

 

"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. Aal ‘Imraan 3:85

Verse 6.165, 9.033, 048.028, 61.009 in the Quran have been translated by at least five Arabic experts into English to say that Islam is to prevail or is to be superior over all other religions.

See what I mean?

 

All one really has to do is look how Islamic law is applied in the Middle East and understand the global Islamic terror threat the world faces is unprecedented in history.

The UN created Israel after the last Islamic caliphate was defeated - the Ottoman Empire. The ugly head of a reforming Islamic powerhouse is gearing up but are enough Americans paying attention?

 

Lastly, Palestine did not exist during Biblical times or when the Quran was created, it is not mentioned in either book. Israel is mentioned in both books.

CAIR fails to be a true partner in fighting Islamic terrorism

In California recently it was revealed that a FBI informant had infiltrated mosques in Orange County and recorded the jihadist talk of one particular Muslim who was later arrested.

Instead of praising the work of the FBI for finding this alleged jihadist amongst them, CAIR  blasted the FBI!   Keep in mind, the OC Muslim community did not report the man.

This Islamic organization, which is a blatant outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, once again claims to speak for all American Muslims who do not dispute this claim, I should add.  

And American Muslims wonder why there is a problem. 

From the statement by CAIR:

"The American Muslim community has never wavered from its commitment to keeping America safe, nor has it hesitated from cooperating with various law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, in ensuring the security of all U.S. citizens," the Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said in a statement.

But, it said, reports that informants have been paid "to monitor and provoke law-abiding Muslims in houses of worship" and the recruitment by the FBI of Muslims "to become informants" have left American Muslims with "deeply troubling concerns."

One of them is that "these coercive and intimidating methods highlight the fact that the FBI continues to view the entire American Muslim community as suspect and treat it as such," the statement said.

"Infiltrating mainstream mosques the way FBI informants infiltrate white supremacist groups illustrates the FBI's perception of American Muslims as a community that must be constantly monitored, instead of being treated as an equal partner in fighting crime and terrorism," according to the statement..."

You've got that right, CAIR. 

But under President Obama's liberal leadership and inclusive nature FBI scrutiny could be curbed.  The Islamist's agenda then can accelerate and flourish in a more protected environment which is, of course, exactly what they want.  That's why Muslim organizations often partner up with the left. 

The struggle to bring Islam to the West was resoundingly apparent in the non-Muslim country of Serbia when an internal struggle led to an independent country, Kosovo, being formed as a new largely Muslim-dominated country which happened one year ago on February 17th. 

I am curious, CAIR, do you happen to have a list of when anyone in the American Muslim community actually has turned someone in to authorities?   I am unaware of anytime this has happened.

This allegation was made in an article in Forbes on February 22nd about the U.S. participation at an planning conference for Durbin II.  But it gets even worse, because the arthor, Anne Bayefsky, a senior fellow of the Hudson Institute, also accused the Obama administration of a cover-up:

"The Obama administration's decision to join the planning of the U.N.'s Durban II "anti-racism" conference has just taken a new twist: cover-up. On Friday, State Department officials and a member of the American Durban II delegation claimed the United States had worked actively to oppose efforts to brand Israel as racist in the committee drafting a Durban II declaration. The trouble is that they didn't.

The Feb. 20 State Department press release says the U.S. delegation in Geneva "outline[d] our concerns with the current outcome document" and in particular "our strong reservations about the direction of the conference, as the draft document singles out Israel for criticism." One member of the delegation told The Washington Post: "The administration is pushing back against efforts to brand Israel as racist in this conference." In fact, tucked away in a Geneva hall with few observers, the U.S. had done just the opposite. The U.S. delegates had made no objection to a new proposal to nail Israel in an anti-racism manifesto that makes no other country-specific claims.

..."The U.S. administration attended four full days of negotiation. During that time they witnessed the following: the failure to adopt a proposal to act against Holocaust denial, a new proposal to single out Israel, which will now be included in the draft without brackets, broad objections to anything having to do with sexual orientation, vigorous refusal by many states to back down on references to "Islamophobia" (the general allegation of a racist Western plot to discriminate against all Muslims), and numerous attacks on free speech..."

The OIC Umma, or put another descriptive way,  the pre-caliphate Islamic organization, will be very pleased.

President Obama to work with OIC; its Fiqh Academy approves of martyrdom!

The Organization of Islamic Conference or OIC is the largest organization in the world.  It has permanent status at the United Nations. Their influence worldwide is growing and is likely positioning itself to be a leader of the Muslim Ummah (world) with possible goals for an Islamic caliphate. Currently, the OIC already claims:

"...The Organization has the singular honor to galvanize the Ummah into a unified body and have actively represented the Muslims by espousing all causes close to the hearts of over 1.5 billion Muslims of the world..."

Its animosity toward Israel apparent since it was "established in 1969 as a result of criminal arson of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem".

On President Obama's Inauguration day the OIC placed an open letter to him in the New York Times.

Yesterday, President Obama had a letter delivered to the OIC Secretary General thanking them for their open letter, which was also carried in the International Herald Tribune (France).  Obama's letter was not released to the public:

"He (Obama) expressed "his staunch confidence in the ability of the US and the OIC to work together in a spirit of peace and friendship for the sake of building a more secure world over the next four years."

He also expressed "his willingness to work with the Secretary General in order to enhance these efforts and reinforce the good relations binding the US and the OIC..."

The OIC is Saudi-based and their subsidiary, the Islamic Figh Academy or Council. approves of martyrdom for Islam; asserts "that jihad and martyr operations done to defend the Islamic creed, dignity, freedom and the sovereignty of states is not considered terrorism but a basic form of necessary defense for legitimate rights."

Way to go President Obama.

This is a must watch video.  According to Zombietime this was the 6th time this year protests like this have occurred.  It was nice to see in some of the pictures pro-Americans standing their ground!!!  We need more of them to drown out these jerks.

High School Graduation Rates Below 50 Percent in Some U.S. Cities

At least this sad statistic isn't true in every one of the 50 largest cities but it's relective of a big problem in America:

Seventeen of the nation's 50 largest cities had high school graduation rates lower than 50 percent, with the lowest graduation rates reported in Detroit, Indianapolis and Cleveland, according to a report released Tuesday.

Those sobering statistics were compiled in a report released today by the America’s Promise Alliance, which intends to draw attention to poor graduation rates, especially in urban areas.

Nationally, about 70 percent of U.S. students graduate on time with a regular diploma and about 1.2 million students drop out annually.

"When more than 1 million students a year drop out of high school, it's more than a problem, it's a catastrophe," said former Secretary of State Colin Powell, founding chair of the alliance.

His wife, Alma Powell, the chair of the alliance, said students need to graduate with skills that will help them in higher education and beyond. "We must invest in the whole child, and that means finding solutions that involve the family, the school and the community." The Powell's organization was beginning a national campaign to cut high school dropout rates.

The group, joining Education Secretary Margaret Spellings at a Tuesday news conference, was announcing plans to hold summits in every state during the next two years on ways to better prepare students for college and the work force.

The report found troubling data on the prospects of urban public high school students getting to college. In Detroit's public schools, 24.9 percent of the students graduated from high school, while 30.5 percent graduated in Indianapolis Public Schools and 34.1 percent received diplomas in the Cleveland Municipal City School District.

Merck fined $671 million to settle claims on drug overcharging

Naturally, as part of the deal Merck admits no fault in two cases involving Zocor. Mevacor, Vioxx and Pepcid.  No surprise here, right?

A sales manager, H. Dean Steinke,  who "just couldn't abide" by the way Merck wanted him to market the drugs Vioxx and Zocor to doctors took the lonely step of filing a whistleblower suit against his employer. He will now be rewarded to the tune of $68 million for his honesty, reports the AP.

Merck & Co. will pay $671 million to settle claims it overcharged government health programs for four popular drugs and gave doctors fees and gifts to induce them to prescribe its drugs, U.S. prosecutors and company officials said today.

The alleged overcharges, dating back to the mid-1990s, involved Medicaid programs in all but one state and the District of Colombia, as well as federal health-insurance programs at agencies including the Public Health Service, Department of Defense, and Veterans Administration.

A nationwide investigation by federal prosecutors, triggered partly by a former Merck salesman-turned-whistleblower and a Louisiana doctor who exposed part of the alleged overcharging, resulted in two settlements announced today.

In Philadelphia, U.S. prosecutors said Merck agreed to pay $399 million plus interest for improper calculation of Medicaid rebates and its marketing practices. And in New Orleans, the U.S. Attorney's office said the drugmaker agreed to pay $250 million plus interest for its rebate practices.

The interest payments boost the total payout to $671 million, Merck said.

"What we have here is a disagreement (over) the rules of the Medicaid rebate program," a Merck spokesman, Ronald Rogers, said. "These civil settlements were the best and most appropriate way to resolve these lengthy investigations and bring these matters to closure."

...Prosecutors said Merck, however, was hiding the steep discounts it gave to hospitals that used a set amount of Merck products and was reporting higher prices to the government.

Between 1997 and 2001, prosecutors said Merck also gave money and perks to doctors and other health care professionals to entice them to prescribe Merck drugs, a practice the government called excessive.

The Philadelphia case involved pricing programs for the cholesterol drugs Zocor and Mevacor and the painkiller Vioxx, which Merck pulled from the market September 2004 because Vioxx doubled risk of heart attack and stroke. Those programs ran from 1996 through 2006, a Merck spokesman, Ron Rogers, said.

The Louisiana case involved pricing for the heartburn drug Pepcid, from mid-1996 to April 2001, when it was still sold as a prescription drug.  Source

And in another report,  "Merck believes its pricing and sales and marketing policies and practices were consistent with all applicable regulations and contracts during the relevant time," the company said.

Viveca Parker, an assistant U.S. attorney for Eastern Pennsylvania, said that between 1998 and 2006 Merck agreed with "hundreds" of hospitals nationwide to provide them with Zocor and Vioxx for about 10 percent of the market price, in return for their agreeing to buy higher volumes.

"That price was not being offered to the government," Parker said.

Also, between 1997 and 2001, Merck promoted its drugs by providing doctors all-expense paid trips and free dinners. The company also paid doctors to allow sales representatives to accompany them on their rounds, she said.

Ex-FBI agent with a brother-in-law linked to Hezbollah pleads guilty to database searches!

I found something at LGF worth passing along.

Detroit, Michigan:  A restaurant owner in Virginia, Talal Chahine, had been investigated for possible ties and funding to Hezbollah.  As a result, he was indicted but he fled the country in 2005 to Lebanon. 

Meanwhile, his sister-in-law, Nada Nadim Prouty, who had earlier obtained her U.S. citizenship illegally by marriage, was working for the FBI and CIA!  She apparently retrieved sensitive information from the FBI regarding what federal investigators knew about her, La Shish restaurant owner Talal Chahine, and her sister, who is married to Chahine.

Normally the government would deported a person who obtained their citizenship illegally but not in this case: 

"...Prosecutors said she took an unknown quantity of classified information home with her. It’s unclear what happened, or what she did with the information, prosecutors said.

The information pertained to a federal investigation of Chahine and his possible involvement with Hizballah, which has been declared a terrorist organization by the U.S State Department.

In 2002, Chahine and his wife, Elfat El Aouar, attended a fundraising event in Lebanon, where the keynote speakers were Hizballah leaders.

Under the terms of a plea deal with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Prouty would face a prison sentence of 6-12 months, be stripped of her U.S. citizenship and be ordered deported. Prouty hired an unemployed U.S. citizen to marry her in 1990, a year after she entered the country and overstayed her student visa.

However, prosecutors said she won’t be allowed to leave the U.S. because she used to work for the FBI and CIA and has access to sensitive information vital to homeland security.

Mario Fundarski Flies his Flags in Detroit

I found and interesting article on Debbie Schlussel via LFG about Mario Fundarski and his anti Israel flags which he proudly flies in Detroit.

What is up with the governor of New York?  Does he sound a bit like a power hungry dictator? 

In Syracuse, New York a hearing was held Wednesday about his ill-conceived driver license plan for illegal foreign nationals.  Several Court Clerks have said they will refuse to issue driver licenses to illegals.

..."A total of 31 county clerks have gone on record against the proposal.  Giving clerks the platform at the hearings is Assembly republican leader James Tedisco, who's already threatened to sue the governor over the license plan.

“Drivers licenses are a first line of universal identity.  It’s the way we get into all our areas of security.  We can't give that up,” said minority leader Tedisco.

Immigration lawyer Sharon Ames offered the only support for the Spitzer plan at the public hearing.  "It's not going to give them any legal status.  It's not going to change Homeland Security's position of deporting them if they're here illegally.  What it's going to do is provide a database so that the government can locate people, track people."

Tedisco's tough line has apparently touched off a fight with Spitzer.  In a front page exclusive, headlined "Road Rage," the New York Post reports the governor is pulling $300,000 in health care funding for Tedisco's assembly district."

The Washington Times quoted Governor Spitzer as saying:

"The rabid right that wants to pile on and use this to demagogue the issue will not carry the day in New York state."

DMV Commissioner David J. Swarts defended the plan Monday as a way to get hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants already in New York into the state data base. Spitzer said that will make the streets safer for drivers, reduce auto insurance rates, and provide a better tool for law enforcement and homeland security to track illegal immigrants. He noted several homeland security and law enforcement experts support it.

"Fear is a major element in the misrepresentation of this issue," Swarts told senators. He described Republicans' criticism as "hysterical rhetoric" that was "deliberately misstated."

Something this important should have been completed by the legislature. The way the Governor and his people are mud-slinging inflammatory words back at the people who are opposed to his order is quite worrisome and show a total lack of leadership.  Sounds like Spitzer is full of himself. His plan may be more about getting a certain percentage of those illegals to mark on their application that they are a citizen so they can register to vote. His actions will dilute the worth of citizens.  Totally shameful.

Are Children's Cold Medicines No More Effective Than Sugar Water?

An FDA panel has voted to ban children's cold medicines because there is no evidence they are effective!  My God, do you see the type of greed we are talking about here? 

"Pediatric cough and cold medicines were approved in the early 1970s despite almost no evidence that they worked because regulators generally assumed that drugs that worked in adults would also be helpful in children. Since then, dozens of drugs first tested only in adults have been found to be entirely ineffective or improperly dosed for children. 

Whether drug makers will follow through on the panel’s recommendations to undertake large studies is far from clear. Nearly all of the medicines commonly used in over-the-counter remedies long ago lost patent protection, so any money that manufacturers spent on studying these drugs would also benefit competitors who spent nothing.

The panel’s vote is a reminder that many drugs Americans commonly use have never been examined closely and may not work. Standards for clinical trials have changed dramatically over the last 30 years, but thousands of drugs presently sold were approved under older, less stringent standards."

Cockfighting Raids Nets Over 5,000 Birds!

I wish I could say these raids took place somewhere south of the border but, I can't.  The largest cockfighting raids in U.S. history took place this past weekend near San Diego, California.  It involved over 5,000 birds!  When you think about it, doesn't this provide, yet another, piece to a larger puzzle about the general degradation imposed upon our society as the result of our sovereign land being invaded and overtaken in some areas by the illegal activities of illegals?  In this case it was Filipinos bringing in their 3rd world pastime of birds killing birds.  These were not not Filipinos Americans, mind you, but Filipinos.  This does not speak well, once again, for California and the illegal foreign national problems they have created for themselves.

"State and federal authorities described a weekend cockfighting raid as the biggest in U.S. history after agents found more than 4,400 birds being raised and trained to kill at the same compound where they carried out what was then the largest bust six years ago.

The operation was managed and patronized largely by Filipinos, and fights were staged in the San Diego area, officials told KNSD. But the operation also sent many of its birds to the Philippines, authorities said.

Cockfighting is legal in the Philippines, where it is called “sabong” and is considered to be a national pastime. Crowds gather in large arenas seven days a week to wager on their favorite birds.

Hundreds more birds were found at a second training ground nearby in Nestor, near the Otay Mesa industrial area of San Diego, officials told NBC affiliate KNSD-TV. They said more than 5,000 birds were discovered at the two locations altogether."

One of the raids took place at the site of what had been the largest cockfighting raid in the nation’s history back in 2001. 

Action: Latino Clergy Coalition Believes it Has More Power Than the Citizens of Oklahoma

A so-called Christian group who is working for the "Latino Community" in our country believes it can tell our state what to do.  Today they filed a lawsuit to stop our new anti-illegal foreign national law, HB 1804.

"Leaders with the National Coalition of Latino Clergy call the law racist. They believe it targets Latinos in Oklahoma.

Those leaders had strong words for the people behind the immigration law and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

"The sheriff of Tulsa County is guilty of ethnic cleansing and I can tell you very clear, that we will continue pursuing to find the reasons why these people have committed these atrocities against our Latino community,” said Rev. Miguel Rivera with the National Coalition of Latino Clergy."

Their allegations are a tactic designed to shift the blame of the illegal actions of others onto the backs of the citizens of our fine state.  To think Oklahoma citizens, our legislature and law enforcement officers are being attacked by an outside group called the National Coalition of Latino Clergy is stunning.  The President of this coalition is Rev. Miguel Rivera, and get this, he serves on the White House's Council for Immigration Reform! 

Will this lawsuit determine that illegal foreign nationals have more power than us citizens?  I guess we will soon find out.  Everyone and I mean everyone needs to call the White House and say enough!   The White House:  202-456-1111

Exposing Deception With Muslim Brotherhood Operatives

I believe there are Muslims in some of our neighborhoods that have a Muslim Brotherhood agenda. The Muslim Brotherhood is a world-wide Islamic organization working to create a global Islamic state.  That would mean they want to destroy our democracy.  These people will likely hide their agenda and try to gain our trust and some will even try to get elected to various offices within our communities.  It takes a keen eye and research to undercover what is going on right under our noses.  One example happened in Ohio recently and it took an individual who was really paying attention to figure it out.  More has been written about them here.

"Exactly how did a known Hamas operative (Hamas is a child of the Muslim Brotherhood) obtain an interview with and almost get appointed to the Columbus, Ohio Public School Board, which oversees one of the largest school districts in the country? And what does this incident tell us about the domestic terror threat and the process of radicalization happening right now in the US?

The key was her name. When the Columbus Dispatch identified the candidates who had applied for this school board position on December 5, 2006, and when those who were being interviewed were publicly announced, this innocuous entry appeared

Caroline F. Keeble, P.O. Box 72032, a management accounting/controller whose grandson attends a district school.  No further information was ever made public.

The reason a Hamas operative almost ended up on the school board of the 15th largest school district in the country was that she has been using two separate identities: her Muslim convert name, Anisa Abd El Fattah (“Anisa, servant of the conquest”), when she was publicly defending the terrorist organization Hamas; and her given name, Caroline Keeble, when she was operating in Columbus and circulating amongst the city’s political and cultural elite. As the pictures below clearly show, any uninformed observer would hardly realize that the two individuals were actually the same person.

Thus far, there is no indication that anyone with the Columbus Public Schools or the establishment media was ever aware of anything in Fattah/Keeble’s political activist background.  Even though she was not selected by the school board to fill the open seat (she had also applied for a previous board opening) - by maintaining dual identities and doing most of her work promoting Hamas under her Arabic name, she had been able to evade the scrutiny of local counter-terror researchers, myself included.

It was only after a recent letter to the editor she had published in the Columbus Dispatch as Fattah and which declared that all Israelis (men, women and children) in Gaza were combatants and legitimate targets for terror operations, that I became aware of her presence in Central Ohio at all. It was only after several days of research that her second identity was discovered.

So how did I finally establish the connection between her two identities?  As I said, the letter to the editor a few weeks ago made me aware that Fattah was living in Columbus. That’s what initiated my research, but it wasn’t much to go on, since it was the first time that Fattah appeared on the radar in the area. Apparently, since her arrival in Columbus after UASR came apart when Ahmed Yousef fled the country, she had been only using her Caroline Keeble name, essentially taking “Fattah” (her convert name) underground. The letter was the first time that I could find her Fattah identity was ever used here publicly."

Income Gap in America: Worst Since the 1920s

It has become quite apparent that the richest Americans control a larger and larger percentage of the nation's wealth. It's a figure that most Americans have to be sick about.  President Bush says it is because most Americans lack the proper skills.  When will Americans say enough, we are done and mean it?

According to new data from the Internal Revenue Service, the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans earned a record-breaking 21.2 percent of all income in 2005, reported today in the Wall Street Journal. Up sharply from 19 percent in 2004, and surpasses the previous high of 20.8 percent set in 2000, at the peak of the previous bull market stocks, the Journal reports.

The bottom 50 percent earned 12.8 percent of all income, down from 13.4 percent in 2004 and a bit less than their 13 percent share in 2000, according to the Journal.

"In an interview yesterday with The Wall Street Journal, President Bush said, "First of all, our society has had income inequality for a long time. Secondly, skills gaps yield income gaps.  The IRS data show that the median tax filer's income -- half earn less than the median, half earn more -- fell 2% between 2000 and 2005 when adjusted for inflation, to $30,881. At the same time, the income level for the tax filer just inside the top 1% grew 3%, to $364,657.  Wall Street Journal

The IRS data confirms the growing concerns most Americans have for their future earning power and security.  A nation that consistently only increases the earnings of its top tier earners is a failed nation.

It's Against the Law To Enforce the Law!

I heard Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Michael Chertoff, say this today when interviewed on Fox News about a federal judge's ruling against the government's attempt to enforce our immigration laws.

"A federal judge on Wednesday temporarily blocked a government crackdown on businesses that hire illegal immigrants, saying it could ensnare workers who are legally free to work in the USA.

Extending an earlier injunction, U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer in San Francisco criticized a government plan to punish businesses that don't fire workers whose Social Security numbers don't match government records. He said the records have so many errors that, with only a 90-day time frame, the verification process would "result in the termination of employment to lawfully employed workers."

At issue are "no-match" letters from the Social Security Administration, which are sent to large employers when workers' Social Security numbers don't match government records."

So my fellow Americans here is another big win for the illegals who are stealing and using false IDs right and left.  If you are wondering,  this judge was an appointee of President Clinton which may explain a liberal attitude that makes it against the law to follow the law.

Vicente Fox: Americans are Racist

On Monday, former Mexican President leveled very serious charges against the American people.  All I can say is how dare someone from another country come into our country trying to promote a book (please don't buy it) and make these claims. 

Americans have a right to protect their borders from an invasion of illegal foreign nationals and we have a right to stand up to these charges:

"The xenophobics, the racists, those who feel they are a superior race ... they are deciding the future of this nation," he said, without naming names, in an interview with the Associated Press.

Patient Said No to Treatment By Muslim Physician

A column in New York Times Magazine recently answered a question from a physician about a patient. The physician wrote a patient he saw in the E.R. did not want to be treated by him because he, the physician, was Muslim.  The physician refused to allow the patient to be evaluated by a physician assistant and was discharged without an evaluation.  The author, Randy Cohen, responded that perhaps the physician could have handled the situation better but the patient had no right to change physicians because of religion.  Cohen agreed with the doctor not to allow the PA to exam the patient.

There's a potential problem with Cohen's answer.  This physician is likely a member of the Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) whose mission is to promote a greater awareness of Islamic medical ethics and values among Muslims and the community at large.

This Islamic organization says nothing about American medical ethics.  Their vision is to become the recognized leader in national and global healthcare, guided by Islamic values!  Their first objective is to promote a better understanding, appreciation and propagation of Islam!   The propagation of Islam?

IMANA's Islamic Medical Ethics:

Islam considers access to health care as a fundamental right of the individual---In addition, a Muslim physician derives his /her conclusion from rules of Islamic laws (Shari`ah) and Islamic medical ethics. The first main principle of Islamic Medicine is the emphasis on the sanctity of human life which derives from al-Qur’an..."

On this page, they go into their history and that they are a constituent of the Islamic Society of North America.  This national organization was named in June and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Trial for their association with the Muslim Brotherhood! 

I sure hope Mr. Cohen becomes more educated about this association and takes their goals and agenda into account before responding next time. 

It would be reasonable for Americans to prefer a physician bound by American medical values and ethics and not one who needs to consult an Islamic religious scholar or be dictated by Sharia Law here in AMERICA!

Illegal foreign nationals in our country are a big concern to the average citizen.  Their presence and what effect they can have is heightened by a recent study by the University of Connecticut which says in the U.S. states with large populations of illegal immigrants could pick up additional seats in Congress after the 2010 census is conducted!

"The University of Connecticut study concluded Arizona, Texas, and Florida could all see their House delegations increase due to their rising illegal alien populations. Although they are not allowed to vote, illegal aliens are included in the census. Congressman John Carter (R-Texas), a staunch opponent of illegal immigration, says increasing a House delegation because of illegal aliens, although inappropriate, is currently the law of the land.

"We assume that the law in the Constitution of the United States says you count the American citizens, but it doesn't say you count the American citizens, you count the people that are in the state. So that's the loophole they're talking about. These people are illegally in our state -- [and] I'm opposed to them being illegally in our state, or your state or any other state," says Carter.

Carter jokes that he is "never made a head count" of illegal aliens in his district but adds, "there's a ton of 'em." The Texas Republican also points out that the Homeland Security Department is trying to "tone down" expectations regarding the construction of a security fence along the Mexican border."  onenewsnow

ACTION ALERT: Charges of Ethnic Cleansing in Tulsa by Latino Leader

In an October 4th Presidential Bulletin, Rev. Miguel Rivera, President of the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and member of President Bush's White House Immigration Reform Coalition, said that within hours a lawsuit to defeat Oklahoma's anti-illegal foreign national law will be filed. He also said the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund will jointly contribute their legal support. In a translated version of the bulletin, Rivera makes the deeply disturbing claim that ethnic cleansing is taking place in Tulsa.

"CONLAMIC out in defense of the hundreds of immigrant Latino members of our member churches in Oklahoma, who are being abused by abuses of the City Police Department and the Tulsa County Sheriff Tulsa, as a result of agreements between the two police areas, attempting to clean the city of Tulsa the presence of undocumented Latinos according to statements by the leaders of that community anti-latinos.

It is surprising that most of the police actions, roadblocks on the main avenues and the arrests and prosecution of deportations is greater and meaningful, in the vicinity of Tulsa County, and these ethnic cleansing action, they happen before the elections on October 9, when residents of these communities adjacent to Rio de Tulsa, are preparing to vote in favor of a draft multimillionaire tourism development, housing and economic development... The Police and the Sheriff of Tulsa have become enemies of the Latino community in Tulsa and the only thing that can make our families to be able to report when they are victims of any crime, is calling the Federal Agents from the FBI, so that they realize and realize his superiors of the conditions so aggravating is that the Latino community in Oklahoma.  Even the School Districts of metropolitan areas or high minority residence, reported very high percentages of loss of Latino students who have not returned to class this school year; as a result of this avalanche of persecution and abuse by local police organizations under the excuse of program implementation 287-G."  The entire bulletin is attached below.

Hero of the Day: I'm A Veteran and I'm Not Going to See This Done To My Country

A KRNV News 4 viewer called into this Reno, NV. TV station yesterday to report a business in Reno was flying the Mexican Flag on top of the American Flag!  The station went out and took this picture.  Then the TV news crew caught veteran, Jim Broussard, going up to the pole and cutting down the U.S. Flag with an Army knife.  He did it in order to honor his country by removing it from the lower position on the flag pole (which is against the law).  It is a must watch.  Hat's off to Veteran, Jim Broussard!!!

Today,  the ACLU is whining this really isn't the law:

The ACLU of Nevada is concerned about recent media reports that it is "illegal" to fly foreign flags over the U.S. flag. While there is indeed a federal law regulating the display of the U.S. flag, that law is merely advisory and simply codifies standard government practice in displaying the American flag.  Several federal courts have examined this law and held that the flag rules are not mandatory and cannot be enforced." 

Does anyone want to bet these federal ruling, if true, were the work of liberal judges? 

Oklahoma Illegal Foreign National Law Will Be Challenged in Court - Maybe

The Tulsa World is reporting today that the National Coalition of Latino Clergy has announced plans for a press conference at 12 noon on Friday on the filing of the lawsuit against the State of Oklahoma for daring to create a law, HB 1804, designed to stop the tens of thousands of illegal foreigns nationals who have invaded our state.

"Local Hispanic leaders have announced plans to announce a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the state’s new immigration law.

House Bill 1804, the Taxpayers and Citizens Protection Act, is due to go into effect Nov. 1. It would make it a felony to transport, conceal or shelter an undocumented immigrant from detection. It also prevents illegal immigrants from getting jobs and public assistance.

The Rev. Miguel Rivera, president of the National Coalition of Latin Clergy and Christian Leaders, is expected to make the announcement at a noon news conference Friday at the Tulsa’s Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, 10802 E. 31st St.

Also at the news conference, the Rev. Victor Orta II, president of the American Dream Coalition, will ask for a moratorium on immigration raids and deportations until Congress agrees on a comprehensive and fair immigration reform, according to a press release."

Update 10/6/07:  Despite all the hype and talk, no formal announcement of the actual filing of the lawsuit to defeat HB 1804 could be found.

Update: 9/28/07: A Hispanic leader in Tulsa says his group plans on filing a lawsuit seeking to have House Bill 1804 declared unconstitutional. That announcement should come at a news conference at noon Friday in Tulsa. The Reverend Miguel Rivera is the national president of "CONLAMIC" or the Coalition of Latin Clergy and Christian leaders. Rev. Rivera says at that news conference, he will announce a date for when he plans to file the lawsuit.   KOTV

9/28/07:  Hispanic leaders promised Friday that the suit could come within days, and would question the constitutionality of House Bill 1804, which goes into effect Nov. 1.

The National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders also said they will consider asking a federal judge for an injunction to stop implementation of the bill.  KJRH TV Tulsa

Update  6 PM:  The National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders (CONLAMIC), which had initially planned to file a lawsuit hoping to bar implementation of HB 1804 as early as Sept. 27, will instead publicly announce on Sept. 28 that it will await the Attorney General’s opinion on the legal questions raised in the lawmakers’ letter before filing suit.

“We will be calling on the Attorney General to expedite his review of the letter and the issuance of his official opinion,” a spokesperson for CONLAMIC-OK, the group’s Oklahoma chapter, told La Semana del Sur. “Once we have seen the opinion, we will decide if we still need to proceed with the lawsuit.” From lasemanadelsur

Too Many Mosques in the U.S.?

Rep. Pete King recently did an interview with Politico where he said there are too many mosques in America.  The Democrats National Committee (Islamist sympathizers?) apparently thought what King said was deplorable according to the Council of American Islamic Relations. 

Now CAIR is trying to silence him with an Action Alert.  They are requesting Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani dump King and commentator Daniel Pipes as campaign advisors because of their extremist and Islamophobic views and comments. 

"The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on Muslims and other people of conscience to ask Republican leaders to repudiate remarks by Rep. Peter King (R-NY) in which he said “we have too many mosques in this country.”

CAIR also asked that Americans of all faiths contact Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani and urge him to drop King and commentator Daniel Pipes as campaign advisors because of their extremist and Islamophobic views and comments."

Have you noticed how vocal this group is?  My God, aren't Muslims a very tiny part of our society?  Then why does it seem they complain so much of the time?  Is it just me?  What is worrisome is this just the beginning of CAIR's efforts to silence those who speak out about their concerns with Islam?

Bin Laden To Declare War on Pakistan's President!

Today is another busy day for Islamists.  First Al-Qaida's deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri released an 80 minute documentary style video:

"The Crusaders themselves have testified to their defeat in Afghanistan at the hands of the lions of the Taliban," he said. "The Crusaders have testified to their own defeat in Iraq at the hands of the mujahideen, who have taken the battle of Islam to the heart of the Islam world."

Thanks Democrats for giving our Islamic enemies a lot to work with here!  Does al-Qaeda have a conference call with the Democrat leadership every morning just like moveon.org does?

Also we are hearing that Bin Laden is going to declare war against Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and the Pakistani army.  Well, well, what an interesting time we live in when an Islamic criminal can declare war and gets the attention of the world.  Heaven help us all. 

Giving a Public Forum to Ahmadinejad - a Gift from Columbia University!

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad requested approval to go to the WTC, Ground Zero, to lay a wreath.  Thankfully, the New York Police Department said NO!  Just the fact that he asked makes me sick.  But be prepared to be sick again.  Columbia University has invited this scumbag, who want to kill all Jews and destroy Israel, to speak at the university.  Isn't this bad? 

Columbia President, Lee Bollinger issued a statement:

“It should never be thought that merely to listen to ideas we deplore in any way implies our endorsement of those ideas, or the weakness of our resolve to resist those ideas, or our naiveté about the very real dangers inherent in such ideas,” Bollinger said. “It is a critical premise of freedom of speech that we do not honor the dishonorable when we open the public forum to their voices. To hold otherwise would make vigorous debate impossible.”

This invitation is a slap in the face to Americans. Iran sponsors terrorists!  If this had happened back in the day of Hitler, no doubt Columbia would have invited him to speak. 

Interestingly, Columbia just denied a speaking engagement to Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project.  On Oct. 4 of last year, Gilchrist’s speech in Roone Arledge Auditorium was halted after student protesters rushed the stage.  Humm.

University President Lee Bollinger was asked about the events while appearing on Inside City Hall on local television station NY1.

“Students can invite people for political reasons or whatever reasons they want, but they can also choose not to invite people, and my understanding is that some student groups have decided not to invite somebody to speak, and that’s their right, too,” he said.

Upon hearing about the CPU’s revocation of sponsorship, Gilchrist, speaking to the Associated Press, accused the group of “succumbing to pressure from anti-freedom-of-speech gangsters.”

I anticipate an invitation to Osama Bin Laden could be forthcoming, don't you?

In-State Tuition for Illegals?

URGENT:  From Numbers USA:  During the consideration of the Department of Defense authorization bill (H.R. 1585) next week, open-borders Senators will attempt to attach three proposals that would give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and dramatically increase the importation of additional foreign labor for American jobs.
Senate Amendment 2237 to the bill, sponsored by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), is the DREAM Act, which would grant amnesty to illegal aliens that:

• have maintained continuous presence in the United Statesfor five years and was not yet 16 years old upon initial entry;
• are of "good moral character" and is not inadmissible or deportable on certain criminal grounds or on the basis of being a risk to national security; and
• have been admitted to an institution of higher education, has attained a high school diploma, or has obtained a GED in the United States.
• Another key component of this measure is that it would repeal existing statutory provisions denying illegal aliens’ eligibility for in-state tuition unless a U.S. national was similarly eligible without regard to state residence, thus placing the rights of those in our country illegally above those of our own citizens, and, as a result, encouraging even more illegal immigration to the United States.
  

In addition, amendments increasing availability of H-1B "high-skill" foreign worker visas and permanent residence for foreign workers and increasing the number of H-2B "low-skill" nonagricultural worker visas for seasonal foreign workers are expected to be brought up.
Efforts to add an amnesty for illegal farmworkers (AgJOBS) to the farm bill (H.R. 2419) have been delayed. However, pro-amnesty advocacy groups have been promised that AgJOBS will be attached to that measure this fall and signed into law.

Outrageous Congressional Salaries

Real (adjusted for inflation) Median Household Income has been measured since 1967. For that year the figure was $36,847.  In 2006 the real median household income in the U. S. was $48,201.  So in this 39 year span this amount has increased less than $12,000!!!   See page 12 of the new Census Bureau report.  I hate to even venture a guess how much the cost of living has increased since 1967.  And we wonder why things are not so good for so many.

Congressional representatives are doing significantly better than the average family.  Their annual salary was $30,000 in 1967 nearly $7,000 less than the median household income for that year. For 2006 their salaries was $165,200 nearly $120,000 more than the median household income (congressLink).  See how out of whack this has gotten?   It is shameful. Since their raise is automatic every year Congress can easily say I did not vote for a pay increase.  Instead you should ask them if they voted not to take a pay increase.  It's obvious our elected representatives have clearly looked out for themselves while ignoring those who elect them.  WAKE UP AMERICANS.  This makes me so sick.

At Congress.org all you have to do is enter your zip code and your three representative names will pull up.  This is so outrageous to me I can hardly speak for our once awesome country's elected officials has backstabbed its citizens.  My fear is Americans are way too complacent largely because we thought all was well for years. This isn't the case.  If you find this offensive and a dereliction of Congressional duty to American citizens, the very people Congress is suppose to represent, tell everyone you know.  Please start talking and urging everyone you know to call or write Congress.  This issue is symbolic to me how totally dysfunctional our Congress has become.

One Example Where Illegals Foreign Nationals Get More Rights

Kansas Illegal Foreign National Tuition Ruling Upheld

"Kansas began offering lower in-state tuition to illegal immigrants in 2004 and a year later a group of college bound U.S. citizen filed a federal lawsuit claiming that the measure violates the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause because it offers illegal immigrants a benefit they could not get.

The suit asked the federal courts to require that the state either eliminate the tuition benefit for illegal aliens or offer the same rate to all U.S. citizens, even those from other states. But a federal judge in Topeka ruled in 2005 that the plaintiffs lacked standing to bring the legal challenge because they failed to demonstrate that the law had harmed them.

The students naturally appealed and this week a three-judge panel of the Denver-based 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals basically upheld the lower court’s decision. In its 26-page ruling the judges wrote that the students had failed to provide evidence that they had been directly harmed by the Kansas law or that they would benefit if it was reversed.

Federal law requires public elementary and secondary schools to enroll illegal immigrants but it prohibits illegal immigrants from obtaining tuition breaks that are not available to all United States citizens. Regardless, a handful of states—including Texas, California, Utah, Maryland and New York—have passed legislation to grant illegal aliens the perk."   Judicial Watch

I guess having to pay two to three times more tuition than the illegal foreign nationals have to pay isn't considered a concrete and imminent injury and ignoring the federal law that prohibits this from happening is irrelevant. Good God Almighty.  Heaven help us all as we are witnessing the death of our democracy!  Its no longer "We the American People" anymore.  I sure hope this case is appealed. Want to make a bet this judge was appointed by a Democratic President?  I'll see what I can find out.  You know, I'm beginning to think the Democratic party is no longer the party for Americans anymore but sure is for everyone else.

Justice for Illegal Foreign Nationals - The New Civil Rights Movement!

There is a growing body of Hispanics, Latinos and Chicanos in America (many who are here illegally, I might add) who are beginning to feel their large numbers are a bargaining chip. BEWARE everyone, this will get bigger and bigger if we, the American citizens, just sit back and do NOTHING. 

Below is a short recap of the first ever "U.S. National Latino Congreso" which was held last September in Los Angeles, CA.  I strongly believe groups and organizations who seek their own ethnicity or heritage driven agenda leveraging their large numbers and "collective power" at the expense of Americans will change and possibly destroy our country, as we know it, over time.  Especially, when these groups represent tens of millions of illegal foreign nationals.  Just the fact that a National Latino Congress was convened last year is troublesome to me.  Separatist organizations can be anti-American, harmful and divisive to the unity of our country.

..."Some 2,000 (Latino) leaders from 20 states and 700 organizations and elective offices gathered and agreed on action strategies and policy positions on 64 key topics of vital concern to our community, nation and world.

The resolutions passed on day 4 of their "congreso" last year entitled "Justice for Immigrants - The New Civil Rights Movement"  actually should read "Justice for Illegal Foreign Nationals - the New Civil Rights Movement".  One part reads:

..."Whereas a network of anti-immigrant militia, vigilante, neo-fascist, population control and racist groups expend tens of millions of dollars annually to incite fear of and violence against (illegal) immigrant and other vulnerable populations;

Whereas a significant number of Republicans and certain Democratic elected officials and campaigns, and certain media including but not limited to Lou Dobbs/CNN and ABC/Disney, engage in untruthful propaganda and vilification to incite fears, hostility and violence directed at immigrants..."

The 2nd "National Latino Congreso" (no respect for our American language here) will be on October 5th-9th, 2007 at the  Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown.  One of their workshops will be: Fighting Anti-Immigrant Initiatives and Ordinances at the State/Local Level!

The list of U.S. businesses who sponsored the first "congreso" is here.  Southwest Airlines was the official carrier!   The sponsors for the 2nd are either being withheld or dwindling as there are only two listed.

Mexican Trucks Are Coming September 6th!

Five groups sued today to stop the Bush Administration's plan to allow Mexican trucks full access to American roads reports consumeraffairs.com.  The Mexican trucks could start coming as early as this Saturday in the pilot program.  On boy, just in time for the Labor Day weekend (see update below)

"In the suit, the groups contend that the pilot program violates a law Congress passed in May requiring, among other things, that the administration publish information about the inspections of Mexico-domiciled carriers that will operate beyond the narrow border zone and provide for public comment, that simultaneous and comparable authority be granted to U.S. carriers to operate in Mexico, and that the pilot program involve a sufficient number of participants to yield statistically valid findings so that an informed judgment may be made regarding whether to allow Mexican trucks to operate freely within U.S. borders.

None of these conditions has been met.

"The administration has thumbed its nose at Congress by its clear failure to comply with lawmakers' requirements," said Public Citizen attorney Bonnie Robin-Vergeer. "There is no harm in delaying the program for a short time to make sure it is done right."

“We are gravely concerned, but not surprised by the Administration’s announcement,” said Todd Spencer, executive vice-president of OOIDA. “They are determined to open our highways to Mexico-domiciled trucking companies and truck drivers regardless of the concerns that have been raised by Congress and the American people.”

Update 8/30/07:  From the Teamsters:  "This is just more deceit from the Bush administration," said Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa. "They've been trying to sneak this program into existence for years and we can't even force them to tell the truth by going to court."

"Their court filing says the truck safety agency will satisfy all the safety requirements that Congress ordered, and we know that would be impossible," Hoffa said. "For example, they claim that all Mexican motor carriers can comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements. How can that be when there are no drug testing labs in Mexico?"

In its court filing, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) relinquished is original start date of Saturday, September 1 to open the border to unsafe trucks. The DOT has announced that it will start the pilot program no earlier than Thursday, September 6, 2007.

The Legal Battle has begun

Washington DC- the CONLAMIC principles, we should remember the initial conversations with our 1st National Vice-president , Rev. Dr Kittim Silva, do not reflect the consideration of which we are beginning to experience nowadays, with legal actions in Federal Court in favor of the civil rights and the freedom of our “Latino town” in the United States. At that time, the great challenge we had (which we still face) was to manage to unite the associations, alliances and organizations of shepherds in all United States, to establish a and seriously representative coalition legitimately speaking, of the Latin Church in this Country. Right now, the presence of 99 organizations of shepherds of all the Nation and National Council the 35 support of Lideres, grants the right to us to demand representation of more than 20,000 evangelical Latin churches, including Puerto Rico.

At the moment, thanks to the efforts of our National Coordinator Rev. Ben Fragmentation's hand grenade, we are about to receive the alliance of evangelical ministers of Laredo, Texas, that added 100 to the affiliated organizations. Gloria to God for that reason. Nevertheless, as opposed to so many successes and experiences that we have managed to live, it never crossed our mind that we would arrive the moment when most of the opinion published in North America would be totally opposite towards our “Latino town", as a result of the high number of undocumented immigrants who are in the United States.

The reports in newspaper, specially reflect chilling incidences in those less diverse states or with a concentration of being able economic and political controlled by the anglian extreme conservatives. In fact, those of us who resided in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Florida and Texas, do not know of the multiple upsets that our Latin brothers suffer in other places where they are collective minority and sights like pleasing invaders and non to the society. 

During these last days that the Lawyer William Sanchez and myself, were in Oklahoma, we never seen such racial, economic and social segregation showed in form before my eyes. Literally, the Latin community in Tulsa, OK is so totally marginalized at a deep level that it is hardly possible to perceived.

Dr. Gene Rogers was fired and the reason is shocking!

Dr. Gene Rogers,  medical director for Sacramento County's Indigent Services,  has waged a long fight against the central California county's practice of providing non-emergency medical care to illegal immigrants — a policy he says violates federal law and results in the poorest American citizens being denied the care they deserve.

This editorial in the Washington Times should wake some of you up.

..."That fight (to spend health care money on legal citizens) cost Dr. Rogers his job. In a two-sentence memo to Dr. Rogers, the county's Health and Human Services director, Lynn Frank, informed him that he was fired, but thanked him for his services. No reason for his termination was offered, but then he didn't really expect one. "Sacramento County knowingly violated state and federal laws, misappropriated taxpayer revenues and diverted funds designated for indigent citizens to pay for services delivered to illegal aliens," Dr. Rogers said. "And they did so even as they cut the budget."

Fired earlier this month, Dr. Rogers is the latest casualty on a frontline in the struggle over illegal immigration that's often overshadowed: the battle that has simmered throughout government agencies. Many government employees remain silent in the face of what's happening — fearful for their jobs and perhaps doubtful that they would make a difference. But Dr. Rogers, a Vietnam veteran, felt compelled to become a conscientious objector to the status quo...

"I've seen cases and case histories of patients who essentially have come up from Mexico for the express purpose of being treated here, and then leaving to return home," Dr. Rogers said. "I've watched illegal immigrants brazenly demand free, non-emergency health care that was meant for our poorest citizens. I've heard them and their families complain. They feel entitled to it." Dr. Rogers filed a lawsuit in 2003 after county officials "stonewalled" him when he questioned why they were cutting budgets while still providing non-emergency medical treatment to people who have no legal right to be in the country.

Sacramento County also responded, Dr. Rogers said, by seeking to alienate him from his prior relationships with county medical staff and by methodically preparing to fire him — with a little humiliation thrown in along the way. On one occasion, Dr. Rogers said, he was forced to sit through a staff meeting in which his supervisors asked case-management nurses one by one if they had any issues or problems with him.  None said they did, but it was a humiliating experience...."

 

Christian Group Confident It Can Defeat HB 1804

Attorney confident of victory over Oklahoma's Illegal Immigration Law, HB1804

"An attorney preparing a legal challenge to block implementation of H.B. 1804 feels confident that the law will be overturned in federal court. William Sanchez is the head of the legal defense fund for the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders (CONLAMIC), a group that has successfully fought similar anti-immigrant measures in other states. Sanchez spoke in Tulsa Aug. 25 to an assembly of local clergy and other concerned community leaders, just prior to an afternoon rally at Union High School.

Sanchez told La Semana del Sur (Tulsa's Hispanic Newspaper) that the basis for the lawsuit, which could be filed in the next two to three weeks, is foremost “the preemption issue, which is in the Constitution. It says that states and localities are preempted from passing law if the federal government already has authority in that area, and with immigration it is clear that the federal government already has such authority.”

“So we’re saying that the State of Oklahoma is preempted from trying to new define new immigration law,” Sanchez said. “That’s one of the main issues. Then there’s racial profiling and a number of other issues that come up, but the main one is preemption.”

Following recent victories in other areas of the country, Sanchez believes that Oklahoma’s controversial law, set to take effect Nov. 1, 2007, will ultimately be defeated, and is confident that CONLAMIC and other groups working together and independently will succeed in obtaining an injunction blocking the law before the Nov. 1 date.

“In the town of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, there was a great decision that came down last month from a federal court judge,” Sanchez said. “It was over 200 pages long, and it went into the details of why what they did was wrong, and we think that a lot of those same issues are applicable here.”
Sanchez pointed to other cases he has worked on, all of which have resulted in the unfair laws being either struck down or voluntarily withdrawn after being challenged, and he is optimistic that the same will be true with HB 1804. “We feel confident that, given the way the law’s been written, we should be victorious here in Oklahoma.” (La Semana del Sur)

Mexican Government Meddling in U.S. Affairs Again!

A panel of Mexican lawmakers have passed a resolution asking President Felipe Calderon to send a diplomatic note the the President of the United States protesting the deportation of a woman who lived in a church in Chicago for a year.  Previously, she had been convicted of using a false ID.  Her illegal activity was the reason to deport her.

Why Are Saudi's Funding Lawsuits against the U.S. Government?

On the same day a week ago, when a federal court was hearing arguments about warrantless wiretaps at the U.S. chapter of the Saudi based Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation in Ashland Oregon, its co-founder, returned to the U.S. from exile.  Pirouz Sedaghaty, 49, also known as Pete Seda, left the country in 2003 during an investigation that resulted in a federal grand jury indictment in February 2005, accusing him of helping to smuggle $150,000 out of the country to aid Muslim fighters in Chechnya.  On August 15th the FBI charged Seda.  The U.S. Attorney's office is asking that Seda be held in jail because of their belief of his flight risk status reports the AP posted at KATU TV.com today

Christian Leader Claims Oklahoma is a "Racial Battlefield"

Below is an open letter to the legislators in Oklahoma regarding efforts by a group of clerics outside of Oklahoma who want to defeat of new law, HB 1804,  will take effect to help curb some of the tens of thousands of illegals who are in our state.

Dear Oklahoma state and federal legislator:

I'm writing to you about a matter of serious concern. Recently the president of the National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders, the Rev. Miguel Rivera, held a press conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma announcing plans to sue the State of Oklahoma.  He said he will use our state as an example to show us we cannot create a law that seeks some kind of accountability from the illegal foreign nationals who have been invading our state. I say invade because we didn't invite them.  Rivera states he serves on the President's Council for Immigration Reform.  This organization is going to sue the State of Oklahoma?  What is going on here?

Rivera's statement in Spanish to his fellow clergy on August 15th sets the tone of his plan of attack against Oklahoma.

..."States of Oklahoma, Georgia, Missouri, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Arizona, Utah and Nebraska are racial battlefields with the continuing police checkpoints on major roads; the seizure of motor vehicles, the raids and arrests for minor infringements, which involve immediate imprisonment to those who are accused...The theme of undocumented has become the best investment policy of the opportunistic politicians who abuse others because of racial intolerance that plagues American society and inflame their comments with nationalist rhetoric and bordering on incite racial discrimination against "our Latino families."

By his side, at a recent press conference,  was Guillermo Rojas, an appointee of the governor of the State of Oklahoma on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Latin American and Hispanic Affairs. Rojas was quoted in a newspaper recently stating HB 1804 is the most racist law in America.

My questions for you, my elected legislators:

1.  Does this cross the line of separation of church and state?

2. Who funds this coalition of Christian leaders?

3. How can clerics sue the state of Oklahoma?

4.  How can Miguel Rivera and Guillermo Rojas wage this type of fight against the state and its legal citizens?

5.  Are we not a sovereign country any more?

And lastly, Is there reason to suspect impropriety when a national coalition of clergy and an appointee by the Governor of Oklahoma use allegations of racial bias against the state of Oklahoma and its legal citizens?

This is astonishing and possibly unprecedented.  One could easily argue their posturing for this fight to defeat the new law are acts of hate. It is OK to do this to the citizens of Oklahoma?    I’m outraged and I’m wondering if this is even legal.

The Dream Act Update

Can't get illegal foreign nationals on a path to citizenship? No problem, Congress will do it piece meal.

The “Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors or DREAM Act would facilitate access to college for (illegal foreign national) students in the U.S. by restoring states’ rights to offer in-state tuition to immigrant students residing in their state. The “DREAM Act” would also provide a path to citizenship for hardworking (illegal) immigrant youth who were brought to the U.S. as young children and to pursue higher education or military service.

From a website, called "The Race" in English, which works to give illegal hispanic nationals rights of American citizens, you can read their latest update:

"Earlier this week, Senators Richard Durbin (D-IL), Chuck Hagel (R-NE), and Richard Lugar (R-IN) introduced the DREAM Act; as an amendment to the Department of Defense (DOD) authorization bill on the Senate floor.

Unfortunately, the DOD bill was pulled off of the floor on Wednesday due to a failed and unrelated amendment on the Iraq war. Therefore, a vote on the DREAM Act did not occur.

However, the DOD bill and other viable legislative vehicles are likely to come up in September on the Senate floor, and a vote on the DREAM Act can occur at that time.

Your calls and emails to the Senate have been working.  We must keep up this activity throughout the months of July and August and urge the Senate to pass the DREAM Act as soon as possible."

You're Not a Spanish Business? We're Evicting You!

I just saw on CNN tonight, a small Florida business owner, Tom McKenna, is being evicted from his office building because he isn't serving the needs of the spanish community.  McKenna has a water business and has been in his building for 7 years.  He only speaks English. 

"McKenna said the property owner of the complex sent him a letter last month indicating that he only wanted tenants who would serve the Spanish community, WPBF News 25 reported.  "He wants us to move from here because we don't complete his vision of serving the Spanish needs in the area," McKenna told WPBF."

Living longer in the U.S. but losing ground?

The longevity of Americans is at an all time high of 77.9 years for babies born in 2004 reports the Associate Press.  Good news right?  Well, two decades ago the U.S., the great super power of the world, ranked 11th in longevity. 

You may be surprised to learn that today the U.S. has dropped in rankings to 42nd place.  That means 41 other countries live longer.  No doubt contributing to the decline in the U.S. is our obesity rate which is 30% for American adults.  Too many french fries, I'm sure.
