CAIR and company
We cannot just simply fight against the jihadists. This issue is far bigger.
When the world criticized Nazism, it was not being anti-German. Likewise when I or other criticize Islamism - the fascist state of Islamic rule, we are not criticizing all Muslims or Arabs.
Studying the history and current actions of the Council of American Islamic Relations and other Islamic organizations in the United States was and continues to be a complete eye opener for me. This page serves as a central depository of what appears to be the infiltration into our country by Islamists (those who seek Islamic rule). Here you will find a listing of information and links to the dedicated work of individuals and organizations who are concerned about our country's future. Many of these resources can be verified by federal court documents.
Several years of research and study has brought me to the conclusion that civil liberty is only a one-way street when it comes to CAIR and that they appear to be more on the side of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and will exploit, to no end,our laws for their own personal advantage.
The Islamic Association of Palestine or IAP was the parent of CAIR in that three IAP employees left and started CAIR. IAP was defined as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood by federal prosecutors in court papers dated September 2007 (page 3. sec. 4a) seeking the remove of IAP's president from the U.S. for lying. IAP was shut down when they were found liable for the death of a young man in the West Bank because of their relationship to HAMAS. This ruling was overturned on appeal in late December 07.
These three employees are still top officials at CAIR.
To follow the current actions of one of the founders of IAP who is the current Deputy Direct of Hamas, Mousa Abu Marzook, click here. The other founder is Sami al-Arian who is a convicted terror supporter whom CAIR supports to this day.
CAIR's issue Action Alerts which are sometimes aimed at public people who criticize Islam. CAIR will defend Islam, even if the statement is true, which is the way it's done in Islamic countries. In other words, this is how Sharia laws keeps their people in bondage to Islam. In the Middle East you are only allowed to say Islam is peace and can never criticize it.
CAIR's national office, funded in part by the Saudis, is located a mere 3 blocks from the US Capitol building in Washington DC.

The Muslim Brotherhood, today widely regarded as the largest Islamic movement in the world, was founded by Hassan al-Banna in 1928. Its member groups are dedicated to the motto: "Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope."
...The European Council for Fatwa and Research, headed by Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi, is working on a Muslim Constitution for Europe that will be above national legislation.
03/26/08 Michigan: Muthanna Al-Hanooti was charged with several counts, including conspiracy to work on behalf of a foreign government and making false statements to the FBI. Al-Hanooti used to work for Life for Relief and Development, a Muslim charity based in Southfield that works in Iraq and other countries. That charity was raided by federal agents in Sept. 2006. Al-Hanooti was active in other local groups. He was former head of the Michigan branch of the Council on American Islamic Relations and the president of Focus on American and Arab Interests and Relations.

FBI wiretaps revealed that CAIR's founder, Omar Ahmad, and executive director, Nihad Awad, last decade attended a secret meeting in Philadelphia with Hamas leaders and other terrorist sympathizers.
But now, in a separate case involving a senior CAIR official who trained to kill American soldiers in jihad, prosecutors are tying CAIR even closer to terror. In court papers filed in December, federal prosecutors described CAIR as not just an apologist or sympathizer, but a supporter of terrorists.
"From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders," the filing states, "CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists." The government also cited evidence "the conspirators used deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists." IBDeditorials
2/5/08: ...But recently, and for at least the third time, federal prosecutors have called out CAIR as part of a covert Muslim Brotherhood effort in the United States. First, CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Hamas-support trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF). CAIR was listed among "entities who are and/or were members of the US Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee." Then, when the group petitioned to remove its name from that list, prosecutors said such relief "will not prevent its conspiratorial involvement with HLF, and others affiliated with Hamas, from becoming a matter of public record."
Now, in a federal court filing from December, federal prosecutors have described CAIR as "having conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists." The government also stated that "proof that the conspirators used deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists was introduced" in the Dallas Holy Land Foundation trial last year and the Chicago trial of the Hamas men in 2006. The Dallas-based charity, known as KinderUSA, alleged in its lawsuit that Levitt’s book, “Hamas: Politics, Charity and Terrorism in the Service of Jihad,” inaccurately alleged that the organization had funded Hamas. In one passage, Levitt made a connection between KinderUSA and the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a now-shuttered Islamic charity that has been accused by the federal government of funneling money to Hamas.
Levitt, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute, has been a government witness in the current Dallas trial of Holy Land, which has denied any support of Hamas or terrorism. In a statement, the institute called the dismissal of the lawsuit a “complete victory” for Levitt and the book’s publishers.
KinderUSA’s attorney, Todd Gallinger, said the organization decided to request the dismissal of the lawsuit so it could focus its limited resources on charity rather than costly litigation.

Since spinning off from Hamas front group Islamic Association for Palestine in 1994---But land records unearthed by Paul Sperry, author of "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington," show that exactly one year after 9/11 — as its dues were drying up — CAIR signed over the deed to its Washington headquarters to a United Arab Emirates-based foundation headed by the ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Maktoum's foundation put up almost $1 million for the property, and recently pledged $50 million more to help CAIR build larger headquarters, replenish its legal war chest and fund a nationwide pro-Islam propaganda campaign.
The New York Times earlier this year confirmed that "wealthy Persian Gulf governments" — including the UAE and Saudi Arabia — were backing CAIR. "CAIR has raised some suspicion by accepting large donations from individuals or foundations closely identified with Arab governments," the story said.
We also know from federal court records that CAIR received startup cash from the Holy Land Foundation, which the government has shut down as another Hamas front. Several of its founders — including a senior CAIR official — go on trial next month in Texas for allegedly funneling millions to Hamas for suicide-bomb operations.

12/28/06: A two-day conference organized by the Makkah-based Muslim World League yesterday called for a consultative commission in order to take legal action against those who abuse Islam and its Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Islamic sanctities, at local and international courts of justice, the Saudi Press Agency said. Muslim World League Al-Turki called upon Western countries to protect human rights of Muslim communities and take action against those who create unnecessary fear about Islam by linking it with terrorism and violence.
12/19/06: Newsweek reported the following: "CAIR Executive Director Awad refuses to say whether he would also condemn Hamas [in addition to a terrorist attack perpetrated by Islamic Jihad]—which has taken credit for similar attacks in Israel—as a group or even whether he considers it a terrorist organization like the U.S. State Department does. “We condemn these groups when they committed acts of terrorism,” he says. “But I’m not going to play the game of the pro-Israel lobby just so they can put words in our mouth. 8/19/2006: interview on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, Awad rationalized suicide terrorism by suggesting it's really about fighting injustice. He refers to the writing of author Robert Pape on the subject: "He found out that it [suicide terrorism] has more to do with occupations and fighting injustice than religion. It really responds to the myth and the known notion now that has been used by several commentators and some politicians as a cliché because it sounds maybe dramatically well but factually it is not."

12/2004: A federal judge in Chicago ruled that IAP (along with the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, or HLF), was liable for a $156 million lawsuit for having aided and abetted Hamas in the West Bank killing of a 17-year-old American citizen named David Boim. IAP thereafter had its assets frozen by the U.S. government and was shut down on grounds that it was funding terrorism.
12/2004: CAIR was named as a defendant in a class-action lawsuit relating to the 9/11 terror attacks. In the complaint, the plaintiff has alleged that CAIR is a "front organization for Hamas that engages in propaganda for Islamic militants," and "manipulate[s] the legal systems of the United States and Canada in a manner that allows them to silence critics, analysts, commentators, media organizations, and government officials by leveling false charges of discrimination, libel, slander and defamation."

3/2004: CAIR initiated a lawsuit against Andrew Whitehead, a prominent critic of CAIR and the editor of the Anti-CAIR website. CAIR sued Whitehead for libel and asked for $1.35 million in damages. Whitehead counter-sued. In April 2006, CAIR's lawsuit was dismissed, with prejudice, by the courts.

Jan. 23, 2004 : The plot thickens with the news, provided in fullest form in the Syracuse Post-Standard, that CAIR's former director of community relations Bassem Khafagi – whom last we heard from above on Sept. 9 when he pleaded guilty to two criminal counts – is connected to Rafil Dhafir, the Syracuse-area oncologist accused of illegally sending money to Iraq via a charity called "Help the Needy." Specifically, Khafagi and Dhafir jointly "owned a Sir Speedy printing franchise in Ann Arbor, Mich., until 1998." The connection between the two – one an Islamist and the other accused of being a Saddam Hussein agent – appears to be their affiliation to the Michigan-based Islamic Assembly of North America. A major article on this organization in the Washington Post quotes court papers describing it as engaged in the "dissemination of radical Islamic ideology, the purpose of which was indoctrination, recruitment of members and the instigation of acts of violence and terrorism." 1/03: Bassem Khafagi, was arrested by the FBI on charges of having ties to front groups that fund Islamist terrorism. Khafagi pleaded guilty to charges of visa and bank fraud, and agreed to be deported to Egypt.
He was arrested in a hotel near LaGuardia Airport in New York. At the time of his arrest, he was community affairs director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim civil rights and advocacy group based in Washington. LGF

9/6/2001: Attorney General John Ashcroft cited longtime Hamas operative Musa Abu Marzuq's (Marzook) early involvement in the HLF.
Mr. Ashcroft noted that HLF, whose financial assets are being frozen by the U.S. government because of its support for Hamas, shared office space and employees with InfoCom, an Internet company raided by the FBI six days prior to the September 11 attacks. Both entities received early financing and support from Marzuq.

09/1999: Agents from Oklahoma City FBI office visit the Airman Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma to investigate Ihab Ali Nawawi, who has been identified as bin Laden’s former personal pilot in a recent trial. The agents learned that Nawawi received his commercial pilot’s license at the school 1993, then traveled to another school in Oklahoma City to qualify for a rating to fly small business aircraft.He is later named as an unindicted coconspirator in the 1998 US Embassy bombing in Kenya. The trial witness who gave this information, Essam al Ridi, also attended flight school in the US, then bought a plane and flew it to Afghanistan for bin Laden to use (see 1993).
....It is not known if these investigators are aware of a terrorist flight school warning given by the Oklahoma City FBI office in 1998. 1999: Presidential candidate George W. Bush and his political adviser Karl Rove meet with Muslim activist Abdurahman Alamoudi. The meeting is said to have been brokered by Republican lobbyist Grover Norquist. Little is known about the meeting, which will not be reported until 2007.
9/15/98: On September 15, 1998, Wadih El-Hage is arrested in the US after appearing before a US grand jury. A US citizen, he had been bin Laden’s personal secretary.
2000 ish: A writeup about Nihad Awad and Ismail Royer is on Islamonline.net which is chaired by Muslim Brotherhood Spiritual Leader Yusef Qaradawi. Ismail Royer [aka Randall Todd Ryer], is Communications Specialist for the Council on American-Islamic Relations. In July of 2003, Randall Todd Royer, along with ten of his associates, were federally indicted for conspiring to engage in terrorist activities. Known as the "Virginia Jihad Network,"Royer plead guilty to lesser chargers in exchange to cooperate fully with the government.

They killed the prophets and worshipped idols. . . . Allah says he who equips a warrior of Jihad is like the one who makes Jihad himself." Ghoneim then reminded the audience of the Jews' "infidelity," "stealth," and "deceit," and told the audience that the Israeli/Palestine conflict was fundamentally not a dispute over land, but over belief: "Suppose the Jews said ‘Palestine you [Muslims] can take it.' Would it then be ok? What would we tell them? No! . . . The problem is belief, it is not a problem of land." 3/1995: The campaign to defame Islam in America is alive and robust. As I watched Steven Emerson's hour-long production, "Jihad in America," broadcast recently over national television, a sage comment by an eminent Jew came to mind.
..."The film was portrayed as factual and educational, while it contained many factual errors. The most obvious error was defining jihad as 'holy war.' We see this documentary as just one aspect of a recent trend toward anti-Islamic 'McCarthyism' by the media. In terms of potential hate crimes, it is now 'open season' on Muslims in America."
...To his credit, a few days after the presentation, Ambassador Philip Wilcox, coordinator of the Office of Counter-Terrorism of the U.S. Department of State, declared: "There is no link between Islam and violence and terrorism. That is a canard which we want to dismiss at the outset. Nor is there a worldwide Islamic network somehow waging jihad against the West. This is a concept that's brooded about sometimes, and there is virtually no intelligence information to suggest that such a network exists."

1994: The Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was founded by Nihad Awad, Omar Ahmad, Rafeeq Jaber and Ibriham Hooper. All were former employess of the Islamic Association of Palestine which was shut down by the U.S. government for its terrorist funding activities.
1994: Terrorists Among Us - Jihad in America is a documentary by counter-terrorism expert Steven Emerson. It first aired in the United States in 1994 on the PBS series Frontline.[1] The film has won numerous awards for journalism, including the George Polk Award. [2][1]
According to Emerson, the impetus for the film came in 1992, when he happened to come across a conference of Arab youths in Oklahoma City. After gaining entrance by pretending to be Muslim, Emerson said that he found tables of pro-terrorism literature from groups such as Hamas and heard speeches calling for death to Americans.[1]
Attention to Emerson and his work were renewed following the September 11, 2001 attacks by terrorists on the United States; later in 2001, Representative Chris Smith of New Jersey credited Emerson's film with helping to pass a recent anti-terrorism bill in the House.[1] Emerson has also given briefings to both chambers of Congress and to the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.[1]

1993: The executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Nihad Awad, participated in a three-day summit of U.S.-based HAMAS members and supporters. FBI documentation at NEFAFoundation
Awad was asked about this meeting during a 2003 deposition for a civil lawsuit. He initially said he didn't think he had attended the Philadelphia meeting. When pushed he replied, "I don't remember." Nor did he remember whether he was invited.

It was named an undicted co-consipirator in the Holy Land Foindation terror funding trail in June of 2006 for its relationship to the Muslim Brotherhood.
1963: "The Muslim Students Association (MSA) was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Ikhwan Al-Muslimun, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. It was the first major project of the newly arrived Brotherhood immigrants, who numbered in the hundreds. Today, MSA chapters are found in most, if not all, of the leading universities throughout the United States and Canada."
