CAIR Minnesota: Best Buy is the Platinum Sponsor for 2012 Banquet!

As you can read, a chapter of the highly controversial Islamist group CAIR posted an announcement that Best Buy was a key sponsor of their 2012 banquet on January 23rd.  But, what makes this so much worse was CAIR Minnesota's action last November, when they blasted two Muslims who spoke out about terror-recruiting that was going on in Minnesota!  Read CAIR Claims 2 Metro Somali Leaders are Anti-Muslim.  

Progressives join activist Muslims to belittle Lowes and anyone who disagrees!

Lowes hates Muslims?  That's one of the hastags used on twitter by Islamists and their partners on the left recently. Perhaps, though, if you dig a little deeper all this rhertoric is cover for something else; Christians must be stopped from pursuing a cause.  Too ridiculous?

I find a protest, along with a public Muslim prayer scheduled for tomorrow in New York City, a disturbing sign of Islamism.  Activist Muslims who argue that proactive efforts by law enforcement to prevent another terrorist attack is repression seriously ought to have their heads examined.

Responding to Sheryl Siddiqui's criticism of Oklahoma "Islamophobes"

Islam doesn't allow killing of "innocent people" Sheryl Siddiqui wrote in a commentary published in the Oklahoma Gazette on September 20th. Last year in another interview, Siddiqui claimed only God has the right to take life.  I wonder if she could possibly enlighten me and other misinformed and ignorant Okies just how The Atlas of Islamic Conquests, which is sold at Islamic bookstore in the U.S., fits in the context of her claim. I assume these battles for power involved fighting, which is messy and many people were, I'm sure, killed. Were these conquests islamically sanctioned or were they a stain that reflects badly on Islam's history?  This book could be a useful resource about Islam's history of of supremacy. No matter how you spin it Islamism dominated.

CAIR California co-run post-war program funded by tax-payer grant!

The California chapter of unindicted co-conspirator CAIR, so named in the largest Hamas terror-funding case in U.S. history, co-runs a National Park program called Bridging Community that explores Muslim and Japanese students experience following two major attacks against America.  They may also possibly discuss how horribly government officials reacted after the attacks on Pearl Harbor and the World Trade Center was destroyed on 9/11 in its second attack.  Maybe I'm wrong here, but surely this helps feed CAIR's victimology beast and we are paying for it!  Ugh. The program was created three years ago by some Japanese Americans concerned about Muslims.

In a recent article about this program, there's a picture of CAIR's Zahra Billoo talking to these students.  Billoo is a frequent tweeter and describes herself as an anarchist Muslim on her twitter profile:

 

Muslim activists can't see additional FBI records out of national security concerns!

The California Islamic Shura Council, CAIR and four other Islamic groups and 5 individuals can't see additional records of FBI inquiries into their activities because of "national security concerns" U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney ruled yesterday.  The judge also concluded the government mislead the court the records existed in the first place.  Judge Carney reached his decision after personally reviewing over 100 pages of documents.

Islamophobia conference at University of California at Berkeley and the Saudi's OIC

Tomorrow there will be an Islamophobia conference at the University of California at Berkeley.   CAIR's co-founder and executive director, Nihad Awad, who was a former leader of the Islamic Association of Palestine, an over arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, will be speaking.  Also speaking will be CAIR's San Francisco director and self-described anarchist, Zahra Billoo and others.

CAIR San Francisco - Bay Area police shouldn't work with the FBI!

The anarchist director of CAIR's chapter in San Francisco, Zahra Billoo, is at it again.  This is the chapter, if you recall, had the Build A Wall of Resistance against the FBI poster on their website earlier this year.  They have sued the government twice since they took the poster down and this week, along with other left-wing organizations, urged local Bay area police not to work with the FBI's Joint Terrorism Taskforce. 

This is Islamism or political Islam.

This week, when FBI Director Robert Mueller testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee he was asked about efforts that encourage Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI (1:24 min mark).  He replied this was not the contributions they want from citizens to stop crime or the next terror attack.  He said they want communities to encourage their citizens to help them.

 

Former CAIR-Michigan Executive Director Muthanna al-Hanooti to be sentenced Friday

The former Executive Director of the Michigan chapter of CAIR, Muthanna al Hanooti, will be sentenced Friday for violating an executive order prohibiting people from doing any business with Iraq:

"...Al-Hanooti was identified as executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations' (CAIR) Michigan office in 2000. But the charges against him deal with his work with a charity called Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) and its spinoff group, called Focus on American and Arab Interests and Relations (FAAIR). He worked for LIFE from 1995-2006, the sentencing memo said, noting the organization was "created after the first Gulf War in response to the economic sanctions that the United States imposed on Iraq."

 

In addition to charitable work, the sentencing memo said, Al-Hanooti told the FBI that FAAIR was created "to lobby against the sanctions that were imposed on Iraq during the Saddam Hussein regime and to promote good relations between the U.S. and Iraq..."

Last Sunday evening, Muneer Awad, the director of CAIR Oklahoma, spoke at an Advocates for Peace Rountable titled COUNTERING THE WAVE OF ISLAMOPHOBIA put on by left-leaning Okies held in Norman at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church.  Other panelists were Malaka Elyazgi, Michael Korenblit, co-founder and president of the Respect Diversity Foundation of Oklahoma; and Nathaniel Batchelder, director of the Peace House in Oklahoma City.

The Executive Director of CAIR's chapter in San Francisco, Zahra Billoo, describes herself as an anarchist Muslim on her twitter page.   An anarchist, as most of you know, is someone who rebels against government authority who can sometimes support violence to achieve the end. Of course, I cannot speak about the depth of her anarchist desires.

 

Oklahoma Islamic leaders fluffy PR campaign; The Islamic Agenda In Oklahoma

I've noticed significant outreach by some Muslim leaders this Christmas.  I even got an email from an Oklahoma City Imam whom I've criticized some of his actions, like when he called the Tea Party the KKK in drag.  Why would he reach out to me?  He's called my  blog a hate group because I call attention to their actions I find troubling and the man thinks I have a spy at his mosque.  And get this, in ending his message to me, right there under his signature, was a quote from the 2nd Islamic supremacist caliph, Omar.  If you are not familiar, Omar's armies of Islam seized control of Jerusalem, the center of the Christian world, at the time.  Nope, definitely not feeling the outreach there.

CAIR refused to appear on Bill O'Reilly to discuss woman charged with blasphemy

On Thursday, CAIR refused an invitation from the Bill O'Reilly show to discuss Asia Bibi, a Christian woman charged with blasphemy under sharia law in Pakistan. CAIR's refusal is in line with their practice to only discuss Islam in a positive manner, which -- surprise surprise-- is in compliance with sharia law where nothing negative is dared uttered about Islam, Islamism or sharia!  Bibi could face death for defending her faith.  Under sharia law/rule, Islam is placed above criticism and above all other religions, as stated in verse 9:33.  Muslims believe each verse in the Quran is the exact word of Allah.

There's a rather bold opinion article I found in the New Jersey's Trentonian that dared to discuss Islam's PR problem today and CAIR's slick Jounrnalist Guide on Islam.  I, personally,  would simply describe their guide as one that follows sharia to the tee where facts not becoming to Islam are acknowledged:

Last Friday, Attorney General Eric Holder gave a speech (DOJ transcript) before an Islamic civil rights organization called Muslim Advocacy.  This organization advises Muslims NOT to talk to the FBI and believe FBI undercover tactics must be stopped.  They remind me of CAIR who often thinks our government is the problem rather than never ending supply of Muslim terrorists who want to kill us.  Do they seriously think we are that stupid?

Judge grants preliminary injunction on SQ 755!

Federal Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange took the side of CAIR Oklahoma's director Muneer Awad this afternoon agreeing that his 1st amendment right would be violated if the state banned sharia law from consideration in state courts.  She granted him a preliminary injunction which will prevent the Oklahoma Election Board from certifying SQ 755 which passed with 70% of the votes, until the court rules on its legal merits, which could take a few months.

Attorney Kevin Calvey filed an Amicus Curiae brief for The United States Border Control, the United States Border Control Foundation, the Lincoln Institute for Research and Education and the Conservative Legal Defense and Education Fund in Oklahoma in federal court yesterday regarding SQ 755. 

"Ikhwanophobia" features Muneer Awad of CAIR Oklahoma!

There's a fairly new website called Ikhwanophobia setup to expose those horrible people they claim have an irrational fear of members of the Islamic supremacist Muslim Brotherhood and, of course, for good measure they extended that fear to all Muslims.  This Islamist website claims, among other things on their about page, that "Intimidation of the Muslim Brotherhood, of course, leads to many negative consequences that are contrary to basic human rights."

As you can see Muneer Awad of CAIR Oklahoma is featured on their home page today  (screen shot taken 11/15/10).  Standing next to him in support is Nathaniel Batchelder, the Director of the Peace House in Oklahoma City:

Prosecutors for largest Hamas terroring funding case recognized by Eric Holder

Attorney General Eric Holder gave an "Award For Distinguished Service" to the Texas team who investigated and prosecuted the Holy Land Foundation, the country's largest terror-funding arm of Hamas.

Oklahoma AG has a duty to its citizens to question motive of CAIR!

Muneer Awad, who has been on the job at CAIR Oklahoma for less than a month and who just graduated from law school last year, said sharia law is merely a religious guide and a religious freedom right.  Is that accurate?  To me, religious guidance is not the same thing as religious rulings/sharia law. I am unaware the U.S. has legally defined it, yet.   Many Islamic countries use sharia as the basis for all their laws, which includes the loss of religious freedom, an irony worth noting. 

Tap down the ignorance in Oklahoma; Rachel Maddow interviews Muneer Awad

Last night the new director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma, Muneer Awad, was on the low-rated leftist Rachael Maddow's show where he ripped Oklahoma politicians who authored or supported SQ 755 and claimed their campaign was one of misinformation designed to raise fear and disrespect of Muslims.  Before Maddow interviewed Awad she went over some of the hate mail CAIR claimed they received (how stupid can one be?).  Near the end of the video Awad said the campaign to pass SQ 755 was based on hate, VIOLENCE and fear. 

Did Oklahoma Attorney General NOT file a response on behalf of voters in SQ 755?

One of the authors of Oklahoma SQ 755, Rep. Anthony Sykes, was quoted by Fox News today making an astonishing claim that Attorney General Drew Edmonston (D) did NOT file a brief to defend the people's vote in court today:

"District Court Judge Vicki Miles-LeGrange ruled that the measure, which passed by a large margin in last Tuesday's elections, would be suspended until a hearing on Nov. 22, when she will listen to arguments on whether the court's temporary injunction should become permanent.

...Supporters of the Oklahoma ballot initiative, which passed with 70 percent of the vote, would not comment on the impact of the ruling. But state Sen. Anthony Sykes, who co-authored the measure, charged that the judge ruled as she did because the state’s attorney general, Drew Edmondson, failed to respond to the suit.

“The attorney general failed to file a response,” Sykes said. “I am afraid that this might get written in stone that shouldn’t be because the attorney general is leaving and a new one is coming in.” 

Calls to Edmondson’s office were not returned.

Oklahoma state Rep. Rex Duncan, who co-sponsored the bill, said he hadn’t seen the judge's written ruling yet, but he was disappointed that “her words from the bench indicated she had completely embraced the plaintiff’s arguments.”

“They were pretty extraordinary statements from the judge,” he said.

Duncan and Sykes both said the state should have challenged whether Awad had the standing to bring the case.

“As far as we know, he flew into here from Georgia just to make the case," Duncan said. "We don’t think he is an Oklahoma resident or plans to stay. We don’t think he had standing...”

An Assistant Attorney General in Edmondson's office, William F. O'Brien, has written numerous opinion articles shilling for CAIR and promoting Islam since 2008.

The Honorable Vicki Miles-LaGrange was appointed by President Clinton.

New video calls for jihad against Americans; Awlaki's daddy in court today

In a courtroom in Washington, D.C., attorneys representing the father of Anwar Awlaki argued that the targeted kill list his son is on violates his constitutional rights.  Kinda embarassing for Awlaki's daddy since today his son released another video calling for death of Americans.

Judge hears arguments in targeted killing case:

U.S. District Judge John Bates heard arguments in the case of Anwar al-Awlaki on the same day that the American cleric made a renewed call for jihad against U.S. citizens in a video posted on extremist websites.

...Al-Awlaki's father, Nasser al-Awlaki of Yemen, has sued Obama to stop the targeted killing of his son, who was born in New Mexico, and to force the government to disclose standards for determining whether U.S. citizens can be targeted for death. He argues that the president's authority to unilaterally declare a targeted killing violates his son's constitutional right to due process.

"What the government is doing is imposing the death penalty without trial," said Jameel Jaffer, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union, which along with the Center for Constitutional Rights has taken al-Awlaki's case.

(DOJ) Letter told Bates the court has no legal authority to be "looking over the shoulder" of the president as he makes military decisions to protect Americans against terrorist attacks.

"We're going to the very core powers of the president as commander in chief," Letter said.

 

CAIR Oklahoma's Muneer Awad gets worked-up on radio after questioned about CAIR

Today, in little over an hour, the brand new director (<month) of CAIR Oklahoma, Muneer Awad, will be in federal court in Oklahoma City to legally challenge the will of the people of Oklahoma after they passed SQ 755 on November 2nd to ban sharia and international law from consideration by state courts in the future.  The suit wants to stop the election board from certifying the results.  It will be heard before a judge appointed by President Clinton, the Honorable Vicki Miles-LaGrange.  Last year, Judge Miles-LaGrange gave a commencement speech titled "Idealism" to the graduating students at Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Muneer Awad, apparently, recently moved to Oklahoma to assume his position at CAIR but he sued the state as an individual. 

Yesterday,  Awad was interviewed on New York City's WABC 770 AM.  Near the end he gets agitated when questioned about some of the facts that haunt CAIR.  Listen to his interview at CAIR's Shariah defender dodges questions on terror ties.  The really interesting stuff starts at the 9:50 minute mark.

Awad dodged facts about CAIR similar to his predecessor, Razi Hashmi, who did it over and over again. 

I do believe Awad imply the interviewer was a liar.

A hearing is set for Monday at 10 AM before a judge appointed by Clinton, the Honorable Vicki Miles-LaGrange, over one man's legal attempt filed by the director of CAIR Oklahoma, Muneer Awad, to stop the Oklahoma Election Board from certifying the expressed will of the people of Oklahoma after they passed SQ 755 by 70% of the citizens to ban state courts from considering Sharia and international law in the coming decades. 

OU's Routes pushing Islam on heels of historic vote to ban sharia law!

Routes is an college magazine that showcases work of college students relating to issues about Oklahoma run by the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Oklahoma.

I was completely taken aback to see their front page and cultural section mainly devoted to Islam or Muslim victimhood. This includes a slide show of pictures where one featured a photo of a larger Quran next to a smaller Bible, pictured above.

Some of Routes latest articles presented a peaches and cream positive image of Islam, or of their victimhood.  All  ignored a move by Muslims leaders in Oklahoma to hookup with one of the most controversial Islamist organizations in the country, CAIR, which was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Hamas terror-funding trial in U.S. history.

Their new director in Oklahoma sued the state this week to stop the will of the people in their historic vote to ban sharia law from being used in state court.  One of their article features Saad Mohammed, one of the two co-founders of CAIR Oklahoma but they didn't mention this at all.  Last summer, CAIR Oklahoma's board chair, Michael Aziz Gipson was charged with mortgage fraud and conspiracy.

The American Islamic Forum on Democracy has issued a press release praising Oklahomans for passing SQ 755, which bans sharia and international law from consideration in state court:

"As Muslims dedicated to modernity, reform and our one law system in the west and in the United States, AIFD applauds the people of Oklahoma for passing State Question 755 and making "the legal precepts of other nations or cultures" off-limits to Oklahoma courts and specifically denying the use of Sharia Law.

The issue is simple. As Americans we believe in the Constitution, the Establishment Clause, and our one law system. SQ755 reaffirms the First amendment to the Constitution and prevents the Establishment or empowerment of a foreign legal system like the specific shariah legal systems implemented in many Muslim majority nations and in western shariah courts seen in places like Britain.

By filing a lawsuit, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has wasted no time in proving once again that they are unable to stand behind public declarations that the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights and our one law system supersede and are preferable to a sharia law system. They are using the American cover of religious freedom to try and knock down a simple law that prohibits the domination of one religion over others

...To those who say "Why Oklahoma?", we say "Why not Oklahoma?" The Oklahoma precedent and example is important. It has already showed CAIR's hand and where they place shariah law in relation to the Constitution. CAIR flippantly states that the law is not necessary. By implying that Islam and shariah are inseparable they demonstrate a willful denial of the internationally pervasive draconian shariah law systems around the world in places like Iran, Sudan, Saudi Arabia to name a few, and how academically clear the legal system of shariah law is. Note should be made of how CAIR's response to SQ755 does not address any of the harms instituted against Muslims and non-Muslims around the world in the name of shariah law.

AIFD and most reformist Muslims believe a ban on shariah courts is necessary to protect the rights of the individual and in particular the rights of women.."

Muneer Awad's lawsuit against Oklahoma made on his "own Shariah-compliant will"

What is Shariah? Shariah is a dynamic legal framework derived from the Quran (Islam’s revealed text), the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad, the ongoing consensus of Islamic scholars, and analytical reasoning.  ---CAIR  

Below is a copy of the lawsuit filed today in Federal Court against the Oklahoma Election Board regarding a constitutional amendment passed by 70% of Oklahomans to not allow state courts to consider sharia or international law in the decades to come.  The individual suing is Muneer Awad the new director of CAIR Oklahoma.  He just recently moved to Oklahoma to assume the position.  Now he, and he alone,  wants to stop the election board from certifying the election result for SQ 755.

In CAIR's press release it stated in part:

"...At a news conference today in the State Capitol Building, CAIR-OK Executive Director Muneer Awad said he has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court -- Western District Of Oklahoma as an individual seeking a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction to prevent final certification of the amendment by the Oklahoma State Board of Elections.

Awad's lawsuit, which is based on his own Shariah-compliant will, says SQ 755 violates the First Amendment's Establishment Clause that bars government bodies from making laws "respecting the establishment of religion."

Click here for an audio of the press conference CAIR Oklahoma held with their left-wing partners in Oklahoma city yesterday found at Oklahomacitizen.  Imam Enchassi stated he uses sharia law everyday. Today we learn, for sure, that CAIR see sharia law as completely intertwined with Islam.  This is Islamism to me. Throughout the press conference you hear the Muslim victim-mentality and the name-calling rhetoric continue. 

Many would argue that Sharia law and/or Islamic supremacy is a rising threat to democracies throughout the world.  CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Hamas terror-funding case in U.S. history and was founded by leaders of the Islamic Association of Palestine, an overt arm of the Islamic supremacist Mulsim Brotherhood.

CAIR Oklahoma really miffed about Oklahoman's ban on sharia law!

Last night, News Channel KFOR (4) in Oklahoma City reported more about a possible lawsuit against -  well - the majority of Oklahomans who voted to amend their state's constitution to ban sharia and interntaional law from consideration in court cases on November 2nd.

Although CAIR and other Muslims claim sharia law is impossible here they have found it necessary to try to prevent it from being prevented with a lawsuit.  So, you really have to ask yourself why.  Are they saying Islam and Sharia law are one and the same?

Did I mention Imam Imad Enchassi in Oklahoma City posted part of verse from the Quran on Facebook yesterday which could be considered an incitement for Muslims to fight?  I don't know what his intent was but it was a provacative verse to use, to say the least.  See my previous post for more details.

The Saudis come to the bomb-rigged packages rescue???

Last week, a plane with a possible dangerous package was escorted by military jets to New York City as news that two other likely dangerous packages were found in the UK and Dubai.  Now, think for a minute.  Does it make any kind of sense a plane would be allowed to land in one of the most populated cities in America and then be escorted to the gate by police?   To the GATE!  This defies basic public safety 101.
