Lowes hates Muslims? That's one of the hastags used on twitter by Islamists and their partners on the left recently. Perhaps, though, if you dig a little deeper all this rhertoric is cover for something else; Christians must be stopped from pursuing a cause. Too ridiculous?

On the 17th of August, for the first time in history Oklahoma Muslims prayed on floor of State Capitol at Inaugural Iftar dinner. The event was hosted by Rep. Emily Virgin (D Norman) who had tweeted about it although she left off the key word - Iftar, which is specific to the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.
The City of Tulsa filed a legal brief in April that answered the amended lawsuit by Captain Paul Fields wherein the city alleged, in writing, Fields and his counsel have an anti-Islamic agenda! OMG - these are the key buzz words of those on the far-left! Tulsa police captains were ordered to send officers to an event at the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) in early March after few, if any, officers volunteered to go. Fields refused the order.
Captain Paul Fields began a two-week unpaid suspension this week for refusing to order his officers to a mosque event at the Islamic Society of Tulsa billed as "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day" although the intent of invitation could be argued was really about teaching the officers about Islam. Today, I noticed IST use pictures of that day to help call attention to their Facebook page although it looks like it was rather sparsely attended:
This event took place just a few days after the Islamic Society of Tulsa hosted a dinner featuring alleged unindicted co-conspirator in the '93 WTC bombing Imam Siraj Wahhaj.
Dearborn Michigan may be the only city in America that has designated "free speech" zones. It's also a city whose police chief arrested several Christians last year when they offered Christian pamphlets while standing outside the gates of an Arab Festival. This is in litigation as a free speech rights case now. Dearborn imposed a restriction on handing out literature during the festival in 2009. That restriction was followed promptly with a lawsuit by Pastor George Saieg who also had been passing out Christian leaflets for several years in Dearborn. Saieg, who is from Sudan, specifically reaches out to Muslims with his Christian messages. Last week, thankfully, the 6th U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 split decision in favor of Pastor Saieg's free speech rights. Dearborn, by the way, happens to be a city that probably has the largest Muslim population in America making what has happened to these Christians' rights about free speech more concerning.
Ignorant Oklahomans were told what to think? That's what I got out of a recent sharia law panel moderated by Rev. Bill Crowell of Boston Avenue Methodist Church. Crowell is president of the Board of the Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry, one of the sponsors of the "Islamic Agenda in Oklahoma" PR series. Tulsa Community College was also listed as a sponsor.
The Egyptian Ambassador to the Vatican was interviewed about the Pope's comment calling for the world governments to help protect Christians. Egypt responded by recalling this ambassador in protest. RomeReport Video:
The rise of attacks on Christians in the Middle East and Africa got the attention of the Obama administration who responded in a rather tepid way. These attacks are, yet again, another disturbing sign of the serious, life-threatening threat we face from Islamists and their terrorist minions. The administration has previously chosen to describe these daily threats in sharia-compliant generic terms, I might add:
Here's some troubling headlines and links to stories about Christians I found just in the last few days. Don't you think it's time to pay more attention to what's happening to Christians throughout the world?
On Thursday, CAIR refused an invitation from the Bill O'Reilly show to discuss Asia Bibi, a Christian woman charged with blasphemy under sharia law in Pakistan. CAIR's refusal is in line with their practice to only discuss Islam in a positive manner, which -- surprisesurprise-- is in compliance with sharia law where nothing negative is dared uttered about Islam, Islamism or sharia! Bibi could face death for defending her faith. Under sharia law/rule, Islam is placed above criticism and above all other religions, as stated in verse 9:33. Muslims believe each verse in the Quran is the exact word of Allah.
Pope Benedict XVI calls for respect of religious freedom in his message for peace for World Day of Peace on January 1st. This video also discusses the persecution of Christians which is very pronounced.
Here's a poem for the progressives in Tulsa like snarky parade chairman Larry Fox who changed the name of the long-standing traditional Christmas Parade which dates back to 1936 and Elliott Nelson the sponsor whose pub McNeillie's is on the parade application. He recently said he would have liked to change the title to the Parade of Cheers, you know, more in line with his many drinking establishments:
Above: Larry Fox, Chairman of the McNeillie's Holiday Parade of Lights on Fox News.
Many progressive libs seem to take delight, with a certain smugness, as they dimish Christians and Christmas. I found Larry Fox the Chairman of the Tulsa parade rather snarky on Fox News when he explained its out with Christmas for this year in the parade title. A boycott of the whole nasty affair seems reasonable to me!
Below is a Fox News Video of a recent arrest of four Christians who were standing outside of an Arab Festval holding Christians phamlets, if anyone wanted them:
The Thomas More Law Center is going to represent these Christians in their right to stand on a public sidewalk. There's more information and videos at the Thomas More Law Center.
Despite clear indications of displeasure from Turkey and a plea from the President, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to press on with a full vote on on a resolution that labels the deaths of more than a million Armenians during World War I as genocide.
This genocide is considered the first attempt in the 20th century to destroy an entire people when the government of Turkey ordered executions and mass deportations of about 1 million Armenians during World War I. Christian Armenians became second-class subjects within the Ottoman Empire. They were tolerated, but only Muslims enjoyed full equality under Islamic law. The Armenians and other religious minorities paid special taxes, could not give testimony in Islamic courts, and were not allowed to carry weapons. These and other forms of discrimination denied the equal protection of the law to non-Muslims in the Ottoman Empire.
