First, let me say there are many fine Muslims who have made Oklahoma their home and bring a richness to our community. Those who simply want to practice their religion, as most of us do, are quite welcomed in our state. Sometimes, though, we get seriously mixed messages. We might hear Muslim leaders speak of interfaith goals and community service. Yet, some of their associations may be with rigid hard-liners who speak ill of those outside of Islam - some support martyrdom! Their associations might be linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, a global Islamic organization, whose ultimate goal is Islamic rule. Not too long ago a former member of the Islamic Society of Tulsa said; "In public they go to interfaith meetings and make speeches for co-existence of Muslims, Christians and Jews. And in private they curse the very same people and sow seeds of hatred in the young minds of the vulnerable - the ultimate objective."
Back in 1992, a CNN reporter stumbled by accident onto a convention of Islamists in Oklahoma City. He was so alarmed by what he witnessed he called the FBI in Washington to see if they were aware of what was taking place. They weren't. The reporter's name? Steve Emerson. This single event changed his life (for more information see 1992 below). He is hated by Islamists.
Let's face the truth here, Islam is under scrutiny. There have been over 13,525 attacks carried out in the world in the name of this religion since 9/11/01! That's an astonishing number of vicious attacks. This global reach of Islamic terrorism is unprecedented in history and is most alarming!
A number of Islamic organizations and leaders have ruled that martyring oneself for Islam and the sake of Allah is NOT terrorism. Take for example, the Islamic Fiqh Council, a subsidiary of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), the 2nd largest inter-governmental body after the United Nations. They can easily say they are against terrorism without compromising religious rulings allowing martyring for Islam. The OIC is a Saudi-backed global Islamist body with UN observatory status. It is likely the next caliphate in the works. There is a connection between the OIC and the Muslim Brotherhood, but I don't know the full extent.
In Oklahoma, the Islamic Society of Tulsa stated that fighting and dying for the sake of Allah or for Islam was a good way to die as a Muslim in their August 2007 newsletter! Islamic fighters are considered martyrs and held in high esteem, apparently, even by the Muslims in Tulsa.
No doubt, there are probably a few terrorists living among us, we just don't know where. You can read about the jihadists who have been caught so far in 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2001-2006, and earlier. I know I've missed some as these lists are not complete.
“At college I would face innocent, honest questions about my faith, and now I face much tougher questions – a lot come from ignorance.” said Razi Hashmi, the new Executive Director of CAIR Oklahoma.
Ignorance? We shall see.
There are numerous experts, including former President Bush, and at the time presidential candidate Barack Obama who believe there are world-wide efforts to create an Islamic caliphate. Historically there have been a number of such caliphates that expanded and ruled over countries. The Organization of Islamic Conference has a good start as well as the Muslim Brotherhood.
But, if you are critical of Islamism (political Islam that leads to Islamic rule or Islamic hegemony) you will be called an Islamophobic or a bigot. Islamist organizations in America are well-known for their attempts to impose Sharia law onto non-Muslims when it comes to any criticism of Islam or Islamism. So don't confuse Islamism with theological Islam.
No religion should ever be above criticism!
Muslim fundamentalists damage Islam far more than any criticism expressed in America. Furthermore, the stark reality how Islamic rule is enforced in Islamic countries causes the greatest damage to perceptions about Islam, especially its birthplace of Saudi Arabia.
I don't know if you've notice but the public discussions about Islam given by our Muslim neighbors doesn't match any version of Islam practiced in the entire Islamic world. I have yet to find one Islamic country that matches the version we are told about. Not one. In my long conversation on-line with Proud Muslim, he couldn't provide me one either.
None of the Islamic groups in Oklahoma have discussed Islamism (the march toward Islamic rule), that I'm aware. Their recent partnership with the Council of American Islamic Relations, an organization with roots firmly planted from the Muslim Brotherhood/ Hamas infrastructure in America, as identified by the federal government in court documents, is concerning. The Islamic Society of Tulsa even invited a known Muslim Brotherhood leader by the name of Jamal Badawi to represent them at a public debate as their Quranic expert in January 2007!
CAIR was spun-off by former employees of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP). IAP was started by Hamas operatives in the U.S., Mousa Marzook and Sami al-Arian. These employees are still in top leadership positions at CAIR. One, Nihad Awad, spoke about his support for Hamas at Barry University while still an employee at IAP. He has been to Oklahoma several times with the support of Oklahoma Muslim leadership. The most recent visit was in 2008. To learn more about what seems to be the anti-West history of CAIR, which continues today, go here. It's disturbing to see Muslims in Oklahoma align themselves with this organization. Actually, it's beyond disturbing but it fits a disturbing pattern that now dates back a couple decades with the earliest hint of jihadism was when Abdullah Azzam came to Oklahoma (see 1988). He was the mentor of Osama bin Laden.
Most of the press received by CAIR-Oklahoma and Oklahoma Muslims were being published on Dubai-based Islamonline.net or the Qatar-based Islamonline.com so the Islamic world can read about the advance of Islam in little ole' Oklahoma, until I started writing about it.
Sheryl Siddiqui of Tulsa, well-known for her community service, lists the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Oklahoma Chapter as one of her main board affiliations. Yikes! Considering the associations of some Muslims in Oklahoma, one has to wonder if they are more in-line with the Islamic world rather than America.

12/03/04: On a Thursday morning KRMG, 740 AM, radio show, Police Chief Dave Been said terrorist sympathizers -- both foreign and domestic -- who would support terrorism philosophically and economically probably are in Tulsa.
"We have nationwide seen evidence of terrorist support, even here in the heartland," Been said on the show, which was hosted by John Erling. "The whole point was the heartland as opposed to the coast, and, boy, do I regret dragging in Wichita."
The Islamic Society of Wichita also issued a statement Thursday condemning Been's remarks at the luncheon.
Been's "comments are not just humiliating and insulting to the Muslim Americans of Wichita, but an insult to all of our friends within the FBI, and the local police department whom we are partners with," the statement from spokesman Nabil Seyam says.
Tulsa Police Chief Dave Been backed off Thursday from the comments he made about terrorism Wednesday, saying there is no evidence that al-Qaida cells exist in Tulsa or in Wichita, Kan.
He said he meant only that terrorist sympathizers might be in Tulsa. He said he was urging Tulsans not to be complacent about the possibility of terrorism here.

Factual inaccuracies regarding the North American Islamic Trust abound in the story. To correct the record:
The North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) has no relation with the government of Saudi Arabia, and has not been funded by it or by any other government. NAIT espouses no particular theology, including "Wahhabism.'' Identifying NAIT with "Wahhabism'' exhibits the writers' ignorance about both the NAIT and "Wahhabism.'' NAIT is a non-profit Waqf...in compliance with the American law and the very best Islamic traditions of adherence to Shari'ah (Islamic law) in a tolerant and judicious manner. NAIT accepts titles to endowed properties for the benefit of the local Muslims to facilitate perpetual conformity to the Islamic purposes that their founders established them for, and to avert their neglect or disposition. NAIT does not administer, control or influence the institutions, nor interfere in the communities' activities that use these properties. Finally, NAIT is not a subsidiary of the Islamic Society of North America, a reputable national organization.

In a 1998 memo, an FBI pilot in Oklahoma City reported to his supervisor that he was suspicious about the "large numbers" of Middle Eastern men receiving flight training at area airports. The pilot said the "recent phenomenon" could be related to "planned terrorist activity." The supervisor who received the memo did not report the suspicions to Washington at the time, and the matter was never investigated, a senior FBI official said. ....That memo, dated May 18, 1998, was titled "Weapons of Mass Destruction." In it, an FBI pilot in Oklahoma City warned that he had "observed large numbers of Middle Eastern males receiving flight training at Oklahoma airports in recent months."
The agent, described in the memo as being the chief FBI pilot in the Oklahoma City Division, "states that this is a recent phenomenon and may be related to planned terrorist activity," said the document, which was released by the FBI late Wednesday after Mueller referred to it in comments to reporters. Before releasing the memo, the bureau removed all names, including that of the pilot.

1994: Terrorists Among Us - Jihad in America is a documentary by counter-terrorism expert Steven Emerson. It first aired in the United States in 1994 on the PBS series Frontline.[1] The film has won numerous awards for journalism, including the George Polk Award. [2][1]
According to Emerson, the impetus for the film came in 1992, when he happened to come across a conference of Arab youths in Oklahoma City. After gaining entrance by pretending to be Muslim, Emerson said that he found tables of pro-terrorism literature from groups such as Hamas and heard speeches calling for death to Americans.[1] Wikipedia

Between two inclinations -- one Satanic, headed by Jews and their [Christian] co-conspirators and the other -- religious, carried out by Hamas, the Islamic people in general and the Islamic movement in particular."7...Documents from the World Trade Center trial show that several of the conspirators attended the MAYA convention in Oklahoma City in December 1992; there is good reason to believe that they discussed the World Trade Center attack at that time..."
Your Work section:
Emerson: I actually stumbled across it quite by accident. In December 1992 I was a correspondent with CNN and on assignment in Oklahoma City to do some interviews on another subject entirely. On Christmas Day I found myself with nothing to do. While looking for a fast-food restaurant, I passed a convention center where I saw thousands of Muslims dressed in traditional garb congregating in the streets and entering the center. At first, my own ignorance led me to think they might be extras on a movie set.
When I went inside, I discovered what was really going on. Radical groups were openly declaring themselves to be Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Hizbullah, and even Gama'a Islamiya (Omar Abdel Rahman's group in Egypt). They made absolutely no effort to hide their identity or their agendas. Just going to the stalls I collected a phenomenal amount of material, some of which I have subsequently showed on national television. Alarmed, I called a FBI official in Washington to see if it was aware of their existence. I was even more shocked to discover the FBI did not know this conference was taking place..."
1988: Abdullah Azzam, mentor to Osama Bin Laden, spoke in Oklahoma about Jihad. He makes repeated trips to the US and other countries, building up his Pakistan-based organization, Maktab al-Khidamat (MAK), or “Services Office” in English. It is also known as Al-Kifah, which means “struggle.” Azzam founded the Al-Kifah/MAK in 1984 (see Late 1984). Branches open in over 30 US cities, as Muslim-Americans donate millions of dollars to support the Afghan war against the Soviet Union. The most important branch, called the Al-Kifah Refugee Center, opens in Brooklyn, New York (see 1986-1993). Azzam was assassinated in a car bomb attack in late 1989 (see November 24, 1989). Bin Laden takes over control and it morphs into al-Qaeda. Cooperative Research
From the NEFA Foundation:
The Islamic Association of Palestine or IAP hosted Azzam at its 1988 conference (watch video) in Oklahoma City and held a conference named after him following his death. In this speech at the IAP conference, Azzam counseled, "O, people of Palestine, it is time for you to pledge death. Live with self-respect or die honorably between piercing lances and fluttering flags." In a similar vein, he said, "O children of Palestine, no retreat after today...It is time...for you to rise to the level of preparation, martyrdom and seriousness. And, by God, seriousness and desire for death will only add life and honor to you...the life that the God of glory has referred to...is the Jihad..." Azzam also said, "the Jihad with one's own life and the jihad with the money, they are both obligations." He continued, "the donation of money is a sunna of the Chosen One...it is an obligation that came down from the top of the seven levels. Come, light and heavy, and commit jihad with your possessions and your lives in the cause of God..."
Along with Usama bin Laden, whom he mentored, Azzam co-founded Makhtab al-Khidamat (a.k.a. the AL-Kifah Refugee Center), considered the "precursor organization to al Qaida." What's more, according to the U.S. government, Azzam is "regarded as a historical leader of HAMAS..." Azzam is listed as a member of the Palestine Committee "outside America" in this document. (Note: there are 3 Oklahomans listed on this document, on page 4).
Azzam is considered the historic leader of al-Qaeda (Dept. of Treasury 10/18/02)
...Makhtab al-Khidamat MAK was co-founded by Sheikh Abdullah Azzam and UBL in the 1980s and served as the precursor organization to al Qaida.

It does not surprise me that Muslims are practicing duplicity about "interfaith" cooperation, pretending to cooperate in public while privately cursing Christians. Meanwhile, Christians are a blessing to all people. I just don't see why we should promote diverse faiths in America when Christians are the ones who are showing graititude and faithfulness to God. Frankly, I find that the entire diversity message promotes hatred rather than love. Instead of being one in Christ, people are encouraged to promote and embrace cultural and religious disputes. I've seen bumper stickers that say, "America - one nation, many faiths." That's like saying, "One airplane, and no one knows who's piloting it." Jesus Christ is our pilot. I don't see any reason to crash the plane for people who want to pretend there is no pilot or that his name is Allah.
God is not Allah. Allah doesn't even exist. This is definitely not a case of God, like a rose, being as sweet by any other name. Jesus Christ tells us to repent and love one another as he has loved us. "Allah" supposedly tells people to justify evil and embrace terrorist activities, killing anyone who doesn't agree with them.
Hey, America was founded on Biblical principles, not on the Qur'an. As far as I'm concerned, if Muslims want to live on the planet that Jesus Christ created, especially in America, the Christian nation that the Lord blesses, then they can at least learn to be polite and kind to Christians.

If one wants to know what EVERY Muslim believes, and what their mission of world domination is all about read the Qur'an. It will wake one up.
