Spain: Muslim men sentenced woman to death for adultrey

Last March,  a number of Muslim men took it upon themselves to sentence a woman to death for adultery in their own "Islamic court".  Lucky for her, she lived in a country where she was able to walk into a police station to report it.  The men were arrested and are awaiting trial:

Nine men are awaiting trial in eastern Spain after allegedly sentencing a woman to death for adultery in an unofficial Islamic law court, a police spokeswoman said Monday. The woman walked into a police station in March saying she had escaped captors who had taken her to a remote house in Catalonia where they “tried” and “convicted” her for adultery, the spokeswoman from the Catalonia regional police force said.

Orthodox priest murdered in Russia after being threatened

A young Russian priest, who had received threatening e-mails for preaching to Muslims about Christianity, was murdered last night in Russia by a man wearing a surgical mask who walked up to him in his church, Church of the Apostle Thomas in Moscow:

...The gunman approached priest Daniil Sysoyev, 34, in St Thomas Church in southern Moscow Thursday night, checked his name and then opened fire with a pistol, a spokesman for the investigating committee of the Prosecutor-General's office said.

...Sysoyev was from Tatarstan, a predominantly Muslim region of Russia on the Volga river. He was threatened after preaching to Muslims and Christians from other denominations.

...Russia is home to Europe's largest Muslim community (about 20 million) and Islam is the country's second-biggest faith, something which Sysoyev criticized.

...Russia's Chief Mufti Ravil Gainuddin expressed his condolences to the Orthodox Church and to Sysoyev's family. He cautioned against assigning blame prematurely or speculating about the motives for the killing.

Islamist group calls upon Muslims to demand Sharia Law in Britain!

A march in Britain that demands the full implementation of Sharia Law is planned for October 31st.   Will there be thousands of Muslims participating?  Will they be allowed to march in the first place?  Islam4UK is the Islamist organization putting this march together:

...Islam4UK has ­announced plans to hold a potentially ­incendiary rally in London later this month.

And it is calling for a complete upheaval of the British legal system, its officials and ­legislation.

Members have urged Muslims from all over Britain to converge on the capital on October 31 for a procession to demand the full implementation of sharia law.

The group declared: “We hereby request all Muslims in the United Kingdom, in Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Glasgow and all other places to join us and collectively declare that as submitters to Almighty Allah, we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture.

“On this day we will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system its members and legislature, and demand the full implementation of Shari’ah in Britain.

...A spokesman for the Islamic Society of Britain said: “99.999 per cent of Muslims despise these people. This only serves to fuel racial ­tensions.”

Islam isn't a race so I'm not sure why that statement was made.

Islam4UK has the type of Google listing to their site that is reserved only heavily visited websites,  so that should get your attention.  It appears their website's homepage was changed recently to remove a picture that is on this cache page advertising the march:

Report: Britain to identify more Islamic honor crimes

In an effort to gain control over attacks against Muslim women and some men in Britain, police will treat more cases as honor crimes, according to the Daily Mail. 

I found it interesting the article was written without mentioning Islam, specifically, so as not to raise the ire of some, I'm sure:

Hundreds of attacks are to be treated as 'honour' crimes in a new drive by police to prosecute more offenders.

Prosecutors hope the drive will also ensure that victims receive more rapid protection that can save them from possible further violence or a forced marriage.

Under the new guidance it will be assumed that an honour crime has been committed in any case in which there is the slightest sign that such an offence has taken place  -  even if the victim has not reported it.

Three British Muslim terrorists sentenced in multiple trans-atlantic airline plot

Three British Muslims were sentenced today for plotting in 2006 to blow up seven trans-Atlantic planes heading for America with liquid explosives smuggled in pop bottles:

"Three British terrorists who planned to blow up at least seven transatlantic flights from London, murdering more than 1,500 people, were jailed for life today.

Abdulla Ahmed Ali, Assad Sarwar and Tanvir Hussain were found guilty last week of conspiracy to murder by detonating liquid bombs on airliners flying from Britain to North America. Mr Justice Henriques ordered Ali, the self-confessed leader of the plot, to serve at least 40 years in prison. Sarwar, 29, was given a minimum sentence of 36 years and Hussain, 28, a minimum of 32 years.

Henriques said the men were guilty of "the most grave and wicked conspiracy ever proven within this jurisdiction".

"The intention was to perpetrate a terrorist outrage that would stand alongside the events of September 11 2001 in history."

Today, in Australia, a jury will begin to deliberate a caseagainst five Muslims and in Germany two men accused of belonging to al-Qaeda go on trial.

Mummar Qaddafi's son: Lockerbie prisoner release part of business negotiations

Muammar Qaddafi’s son, Saif al Islam el-Qaddafi, flew to Scotland and accompanied Lockerbie terrorist, Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, home but there's more, lots more to know, it appears. 

Is he telling the truth?

"...As the BBC reported on Saturday, Mr. Qaddafi can be seen telling Mr. Megrahi in the video, “In all commercial contracts, for oil and gas with Britain, you were always on the negotiating table.”

...Also, and it is to be said for the first time, you were present on the table in all [discussions of] commercial, oil and gas agreements that we supervised in that period. You were on the table in all [discussions of] British interests when it came to Libya, and I personally supervised this matter, also, during the visit of the previous prime minister, Tony Blair.

...In the same interview, Mr. Qaddafi called the families of the Lockerbie victims “very greedy” and said, “Instead of wasting their time blackmailing us,” they should now work with the Libyan government “in order to find the real criminal who was behind that attack.”

Lockerbie terrorist arrived in Libya to a hero's welcome

Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who was convicted in the 1988 Lockerbie airliner bombing where 270 innocent people were killed, is pictured below as he left Scotland. 

First, I think it is important to note this was the single worst terrorist attack committed in or over Britain.  So it's hard to comprehend why he was let go after serving only 8 years of a LIFE sentence on compassionate grounds.  So, the question that begs to be asked is,  was there a political motive to release him?  Read on.

  

Upon arrival in Tripoli, Lybia, this terrorist received a hero's welcome.  He's probably the man in the suit with the cane (see video below).  The man in the white robe and gold vest is Gadhafi's son according to the NYT.  I believe that is the same the man cheering wildly as he helped al-Megrahi down the steps:

According to Al Jazeera,  his release might have been political motivated since Libya's president, Mommar Gadhafi,  is the new head of the African Union and Libyan diplomat, Ali Abussalam Treky, was elected in June to the presidency of the whole U.N. General Assembly!  Libya was designated a state sponsor of terror from 1979 to 2006 by the U.S..  My, how things change.

Is all this coming into sharper focus now?

Coincidentally, Switzerland's president was also in Tripoli today to apologize for arresting one of Gadafi's sons last year which was followed by Libya's refusal to ship oil to the country. 

Gadhafi, as I understand it, will make his first trip to the U.S. to speak at the U.N.  He will likely join Ahmadinejad and Chavez and speak ill of the West while on American soil in September.

God rest the souls of the innocent killed by the hands of a terrorist who hates the West. 

This is a sad moment in time.

Islamic spiritual leader of Bosnia calls for Sharia Law!

Islamists are at work all over this world, it appears:

Bosnia’s Muslim spiritual leader, Reiss-ul-Ulema Mustafa Ceric, has drawn strong criticism from moderate Muslims and from Bosnian Serbs, after he called for Islamic Sharia law to be incorporated into the Bosnian constitution.

Ceric made the controversial suggestion when he conducted Bosnia's first Sharia mass wedding on Saturday in the central city of Zenica. Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi reportedly paid for the weddings for the 20 couples and some 500 guests.

...Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik reacted angrily to Ceric's remarks, saying he was deliberately ignoring the presence of Serbs and Croats in Muslim-majority Bosnia.

Serbs are mainly Orthdox while Croats are Catholic Christians.

Ceric’s statements drew sharp criticism from moderate Muslims.

One commentator on the daily 24 hours website wrote: “Nothing else could be expected from Ceric.”

He is known for glorifying the Ottoman invaders who ruled the Balkans for six centuries, converting local population to Islam.

Muslim swim hours at UK's municipal pools require all to adhere to strick Islamic dress code

The Telegraph reports that at municipal pools in the UK during special Muslim swim hours, Islamic dress is even being required of non-Muslims or they are turned away:

...But across the UK municipal pools are holding swimming sessions specifically aimed at Muslims, in some case imposing strict dress codes.

Croydon council in south London runs separate one-and-a half-hour swimming sessions for Muslim men and women every Saturday and Sunday at Thornton Heath Leisure Centre.

Swimmers were told last week on the centre's website that "during special Muslim sessions male costumes must cover the body from the navel to the knee and females must be covered from the neck to the ankles and wrists".

The dress codes have provoked an angry reaction among critics who say they encourage division and resentment between Muslims and non-Muslims, putting strain on social cohesion.

...Muslim swimming sessions are also held at a number of state schools around the country. At Loxford School in Ilford, east London, a local Muslim group organises weekly sessions for Muslim men, with the warning that "it is compulsory for the body to be covered between the navel and the knees.

"Anyone not adhering to the dress code or rules within the pool will not be allowed to swim".

British MP and wife left Muslim wedding; men and women segregated

In London, a stunned government official left a Muslim wedding on Sunday:

A Government minister today told how he and his wife walked out of a Muslim wedding after being segregated into male and female areas.

Labour MP Jim Fitzpatrick, the minister for food and farming, said the strictly-enforced rule threatened community cohesion in the heavily Muslim area of Whitechapel, East London.

Mr Fitzpatrick, 57, said he and his GP wife Sheila have attended many mosque weddings before but have never witnessed such an arrangement.

And he fears the growing trend is due to the influence of the Islamic Forum of Europe, proponents of Shariah law, who have links to the wedding venue.

...Spokesman Mohammed Shakir said: ‘We are saddened to read that Jim Fitzpatrick MP did not like the arrangements at a wedding he attended with his wife at the London Muslim Centre.

...‘It is part of the attraction for Muslim families so they can celebrate their happy day in a religious atmosphere, a custom which is also found in other religious traditions represented in Britain.

Mr Fitzgerald and his wife have been involved in the Muslim community for many years including a visit to Bangladesh with the World Health Organisation last year.  But the politician says he has been growing increasingly concerned about the divisive influence of ‘hardline’ Islamic influences in the area.

The Islamic Forum of Europe, is described as ‘moderate’ group with headquarters at the London Muslim Centre but with branches across the continent.  The organization was widely credited with George Galloway’s election victory in 2005.

The growing Muslim population in Europe

According to an article in the London Telegraph, Muslim Europe: the demographic time bomb transforming our continent:

Britain and the rest of the European Union are ignoring a demographic time bomb: a recent rush into the EU by migrants, including millions of Muslims, will change the continent beyond recognition over the next two decades, and almost no policy-makers are talking about it. The numbers are startling. Only 3.2 per cent of Spain's population was foreign-born in 1998. In 2007 it was 13.4 per cent. Europe's Muslim population has more than doubled in the past 30 years and will have doubled again by 2015. In Brussels, the top seven baby boys' names recently were Mohamed, Adam, Rayan, Ayoub, Mehdi, Amine and Hamza.

Europe's low white birth rate, coupled with faster multiplying migrants, will change fundamentally what we take to mean by European culture and society. The altered population mix has far-reaching implications for education, housing, welfare, labour, the arts and everything in between.

Sharia law's growing network in Britain

A female reporter for Mail Online got a rare opportunity, over the course of several weeks, to observe how Islamic law works in Britain.  One thing is clear, Islamic law favors men and why any woman would subject herself to it in Britain is beyond me.  

Below are some excerpts from the article, which is worth reading in full: 

....For the first time, the Islamic Sharia Council has granted access to a newspaper to observe the entire sharia legal process in Britain. Over several weeks, I was allowed to witness the filing of complaints, individual testimony hearings and the monthly meeting of imams, or judges, where rulings are handed down.

Sharia has been operating here, in parallel to the British legal system, since 1982. Work includes issuing fatwas - religious rulings on matters ranging from why Islam considers homosexuality a sin to why two women are equivalent to one male witness in an Islamic court.

...However, in the course of my investigation, I discovered how sharia is being used informally within the Muslim community to tackle crime such as gang fights or stabbings, bypassing police and the British court system.

A few hardline leaders would like it to be taken even further. One told me that Britain should adopt sharia punishments such as stoning and the chopping off of hands to reduce violent crime.

There are 12 councils or courts operating in Britain under Dr Hasan's group, based in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Rotherham and Bradford. Scores more imams dispense justice through their own mosques.

...In Britain, sharia courts are permitted to rule only in civil cases, such as divorce and financial disputes.

...The Islamic Sharia Council is listed as a charity but people seeking a divorce, or talaq, must fill in a form and pay a fee. For a man it is £100; for women, it is £250 because the imams say it takes more work to process a woman's application as her word has to be corroborated.

...Until last year, these rulings depended on voluntary compliance among Muslims. But now, due to a clause in the Arbitration Act 1996, they are enforceable by county and high courts.

...However, a Muslim couple must still be divorced in the British courts for it to recognised under British law...   

Eight Iranian British Embassy staff arrested by Iranians freed, except one!

Over the weekend,  Iranian authorities arrested nine British Embassy staff in Iran.  Thankfully, all but one has been released:

Three more Iranian British embassy staff have been released by the Iranian authorities in Tehran, the country's state-run Press TV reports.

Nine members of embassy staff were detained at the weekend and Press TV said all bar one have now been freed.

Iran had said they were arrested over their role in protests against June's disputed presidential election.

Tehran has repeatedly accused foreign powers - especially Britain and the US - of meddling after the election.

Al Qaeda North Africa seething over burqa remark

It was just a matter of time before there was backlash from President Sarkozy recent remarks that burqas were not welcome in France.  Now, Al-Qaeda in North Africa has threatened revenge and calls on ALL Muslims to confront the situation.

Al Qaeda's north African wing threatened revenge against France for launching a "war" against Muslim women who wear full burqas that cover them from head to toe, according to a Web statement posted in the group's name.

French legislators expressed concern this month that more and more Muslim women were wearing a burqa or a niqab which cloaks the entire body, sometimes leaving a gap for the eyes.

President Nicolas Sarkozy said the garments were not welcome in France because they are a symbol of the subjugation of women.

It said France's campaign against the burqa was tantamount to "religious terrorism" and was an incitement to a hatred that would only grow.

"This is why we call upon all Muslims to respond to this hatred by another that is more ravaging, we call upon them to confront this French obstinacy," the statement said.

President Sarkozy: Burqas not welcome in France

French President Sarkozy today spoke before the French parliament, which is highly unusual due to separation of the branches of governmnet there, and declared that the full body dress of Muslim women which also covers their face, called the burqa, is a symbol of enslavement and not welcomed in France:

"...Speaking from the royal grounds of Versailles, Mr. Sarkozy directly confronted one of the most hotly debated social issues in France, saying there was no room in the French republic for the burqas, full-body garments that envelope women and mask their faces.

“The issue of the burqa is not a religious issue, it is a question of freedom and of women’s dignity,” Mr. Sarkozy said. “The burqa is not a religious sign, it is a sign of the subjugation, of the submission of women.”

“I want to say solemnly that it will not be welcome on our territory,” he said to enthusiastic applause.

His speech, a sober, wide-ranging address during which he frequently looked at his notes, marked the first presidential appearance before Parliament since Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte.

...Mohammed Moussaoui, the president of France’s Representative Muslim Council, said he agreed with Mr. Sarkozy’s position on burqas, calling them “an extremely marginal phenomenon.” He said his group promotes a moderate practice of Islam. “When we meet women who wear it, we try to educate them, and explain to them that moderation is a better choice,” he said..."

Germany is an 'immediate target' for Islamist terror groups report states

A number of 2nd generation Muslim immigrants in Germany, whom we all would think would be well adjusted to their new nation and its laws, have been traveling to Pakistan terrorist training camps according to the annual Protection of the Constitution report.

In addition, the report revealed a number of Muslim groups within Germany want to live under Sharia law or strict Islamic law, according to Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble.

The report warns Germany is an immediate target for Islamic terror groups and that the Internet was the most important communication and propaganda instrument for them.

The report also revealed disturbing increases in right and leftwing extremist crimes.

Teenager groomed to be a jihadist in Britian speaks out

A teenager gives his first hand account to a British news outlet how he was recruited in Britian to be a jihadist.  He is now one of about 200 who are in a rehab program for would-be terrorists backed by the government.  That's right, 200 are in it:

"...In the first insider account of how radicals are preying on vulnerable Muslim youths, the teenager describes being approached by Islamists at a mosque in south London that was used by the failed 21/7 bombers, and indoctrinated at a secret network of squats.

Aged 15, he was the youngest of about 50 recruits who were shown “martyrdom” videos and encouraged to travel to Pakistan to receive terrorist training.

The youth, who is called Adam, told The Sunday Times: “They showed us a jihadist video with the martyrdom flags behind the guy speaking, and the message I got was that I should prepare myself for martyrdom.

...“It was quite shocking to me,” he said. “I started to think, ‘Well, hold on a second, I don’t want to kill anybody. Yeah, I’ve got anger inside me, but this isn’t the right way to deal with this’...”

Radical Islamist freed from British jail

It will be interesting to see if a hard-core Islamist can walk the straight and narrow in Britain after his first prison term:

" Abu Izzadeen, a radical Muslim preacher who was jailed after footage was uncovered of him calling for the beheading of any Muslim in the British army, has been freed early from jail.

Izzadeen, 34, whose real name is Trevor Brooks, led a group of Islamic radicals who stormed the moderate Regents Park Mosque in central London and then forced back police who tried to evict them. He also publicly shouted down John Reid when he was Home Secretary.

A second generation Jamaican, Izzadeen, walked out of jail on Saturday because of the amount of time he has already spent in prison. He had one year cut off his sentence by the Court of Appeal, reducing it from four-and-a-half to three-and-a-half years..."

Michael Savage joins Hamas MP and terrorists on banned list in the U.K.

The British government has published a list of people who are barred from entering their country for creating hate:

"The list of the 16 "least wanted" includes radio talk show host Michael Savage, real name Michael Weiner.

"This is someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country," Ms Smith told BBC Breakfast.

Also named are American Baptist pastor Fred Waldron Phelps Snr and his daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper, who have picketed the funerals of Aids victims and claimed the deaths of US soldiers are a punishment for US tolerance of homosexuality.

The others on the list are: Hamas MP Yunis Al-Astal, Jewish extremist Mike Guzovsky, former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard Stephen Donald Black, neo-Nazi Erich Gliebe, Artur Ryno and Pavel Skachevsky, the former leaders of a violent Russian skinhead gang, preachers Wadgy Abd El Hamied Mohamed Ghoneim, Abdullah Qadri Al Ahdal, Safwat Hijazi and Amir Siddique, Muslim activist Abdul Ali Musa (previously Clarence Reams), murderer and Hezbollah terrorist Samir Al Quntar and Kashmiri terror group leader Nasr Javed."

A British flight attendant who worked for BMI Airlines was fired for refusing to fly into Saudi Arabia after being told it was required that she wear a abaya or the full black Muslim dress while in the country.  She was also told to walk behind her males counterparts. She refused to comply citing safety concerns and being forced to be dressed as a Muslim.

What makes this case more pronounced is she lost after filing a complaint against the airline!

"...Flight attendant Lisa Ashton was told to wear an abaya, a black robe which covers everything but the face, feet and hand, in public places in Saudi Arabia. She was also instructed to walk behind her male colleagues, irrespective of rank.

Ashton, a practicing Christian, filed for unfair dismissal at a UK employment tribunal earlier this year; the court dismissed the case, stating that BMI was justified in imposing "rules of a different culture" on staff.

Ashton may seek a judicial review of the decision and has been in consultations with human rights organization Liberty..."

In addition, this article also pointed out that Israel was not displayed on the digital maps on some of BMI's planes and referred to it as Haifa, spelled "Khefa" - the Arab name of the city before 1948!

Al-Qaeda's African arm demands release of jailed Muslim in Britain

The African arm of Al-Qaeda or their jihadists supporters often post videos on YouTube. 

Now, they are threatening to kill a British tourist:

"Al-Qaida's North African wing has threatened to kill a British tourist taken hostage in the Sahara unless the radical cleric and terrorism suspect Abu Qatada is released within 20 days.

The kidnapped man was among four Europeans seized in January after their convoy was ambushed near the border of Niger and Mali, where they had been after attending a Tuareg festival. The Foreign Office has not released the man's name.

Qatada, once described by a Spanish judge as "Osama bin Laden's righthand man in Europe", is being held in Britain pending deportation to his native Jordan, where in 1999 he was convicted in his absence of conspiracy to cause explosions and sentenced to life imprisonment. The charges related to bombings at the American school and the Jerusalem hotel in Jordan. He was convicted a second time in 2000 over a plot to bomb tourists.

12 Muslims arrested in Britain on terror-related charges

12 Muslim men, mostly  Pakistani nationals,  remain in custody in Britain following anti-terror raids that may have been related to a terror plot. 

Unfortunately, a top anti-terror chief was forced to resign after he was pictured getting out of a cab with the names of those to be arrested visible on a piece of paper before the raids.  Oops.

The British terror threat remains as the severe level.

Muslim leader, who signed Islamic declaration, sues British cabinet minister

Here's an example how an Islamist tries to shift the blame about something they did, like in this case,  sign a controversial Islamic declaration.  First, he said he was being bullied by Hazel Blears, a British Cabinet Minister, who said the document he signed encourages violence.  Now, he is suing her. 

I can only hope Ms. Blears stands firm and strong and doesn't cave.  Great job!

"A leading member of the Muslim Council of Britain is suing cabinet minister Hazel Blears for defamation, following a row over the Israeli bombing of Gaza.

Dr Daud Abdullah, who is the MCB deputy secretary-general, is seeking damages.

Ms Blears said a document which Dr Abdullah signed on hostilities in Gaza had advocated attacks on UK military personnel and on Jews around the world.

Ms Blears made the claim in a letter to the Guardian last week, but Dr Abdullah has vehemently denied it.

The document is known as the Istanbul Declaration and was signed by 90 Muslim leaders in response to the three-week Israeli offensive in Gaza, in December and January.

Ms Blears, who is Communities Secretary, said Dr Abdullah needed to make his own position clear.

Dr Abdullah has in turn accused Ms Blears of "crude bullying". He said the declaration did not represent an attack on Jewish people and that he did not call for or support attacks on British troops anywhere in the world.

..."The legal route that Dr Abdullah has chosen to take despite our offer of further private dialogue with the MCB to resolve the matter means this will now be taken forward by solicitors."

The UK government has said it is concerned with the following articles of the declaration:

• "The obligation of the Islamic Nation to regard everyone standing with the Zionist entity, whether countries, institutions or individuals, as providing a substantial contribution to the crimes and brutality of this entity; the position towards him is the same as towards this usurping entity."

• "The obligation of the Islamic Nation to regard the sending of foreign warships into Muslim waters, claiming to control the borders and prevent the smuggling of arms to Gaza, as in effect a declaration of war, a new occupation, sinful aggression, and a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Nation, that must be rejected and fought by all means and ways."..."

..."Public statements that assert that attacks of this kind are not only acceptable but an 'obligation' cannot go unchallenged," she said.

American and British goverment severe ties with large Islamic organizations

Last fall five Muslim defendants were found guilty of sending millions of dollars to the terror group Hamas through the largest Muslim charity in America, the Holy Land Foundation.  A number of Islamic organizations and individuals were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the case, including CAIR, the North American Islamic Trust and the Islamic Society of North American.  Each are large national organizations not just small one or two person groups.

Individuals named included Jamal Badawi, the person chosen by the Islamic Society of Tulsa to represent them as their Quranic expert, Yusef Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, and a pediatrician in Ponca City, Dr. Ahmad Agha, to name a few.  In total nearly 300 Islamic organizations and individuals were identified.  No one has been removed from the list.

The names of unindicted co-conspirators are not usually made public unless the government believes the public has an overwhelming need to know.  In this case, the government made the correct decision to inform us of the extensive Islamist network in our country.   

Following the guilty verdicts the FBI made a decision not to outreach to CAIR anymore, since its beginnings were tied directly to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. How strong their alliance to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas is today the 64 million question.  This issue has not been resolved fully to satisfy the FBI, at this point. 

Conclusion?  There appears to be a large and extensive Islamic network in place in the U.S.

Now, let's go across the ocean to Britain, a major ally, where today the government severed ties with the largest Muslim group there - the Muslim Council of Britain:

"The government has suspended ties with Britain's largest Muslim group and demanded that one of its leaders should be removed from office for allegedly supporting violence against Israel.

...The launch tomorrow of Contest 2, the government's revised counter-terrorism strategy, comes after ministers decided to stop engaging with the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).

The council's deputy secretary-general, Daud Abdullah, signed a declaration last month that the government and critics of the MCB have interpreted as calling for violence against Israel and condoning attacks on British troops.

The declaration followed a meeting in Istanbul of clerics and other Muslim leaders from around the world to discuss strategy after Israel's attacks on Gaza..."

Isn't it interesting, yet quite alarming, these large national Islamic organizations the American and British governments once felt vital to build better Muslim relations have resulted in severed ties?

It's a major wake up call.

Britain trains tens of thousands of civilians to spot terrorists

Here's another warning about the seriousness of the Islamic terror threat Britain faces and the extraordinary steps they are taking to fight it which was announcement by Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Sunday:

"Gordon Brown today warned that al-Qaida remains the biggest security threat to the UK, as he revealed that tens of thousands of civilians have been trained to deal with terrorist attacks as part of a new strategy to combat extremists.

Writing in the Observer, the prime minister previewed what he said was a "world-leading" counter-terrorist framework to be published on Tuesday. The immediate threat of terrorist attack justified a "relentless pursuit of terrorists and disruption of their plots".

..."Tens of thousands of men and women throughout Britain – from security guards to store managers – have now been trained and equipped to deal with an incident and know what to watch for as people go about their daily business in crowded places such as stations, airports, shopping centres and sports grounds."

Minister in London beaten after debating Muslims

A few "Religion of Peace" followers showed their lovely, peaceful nature recently in London.  But notice how the TV station's owner, who is a Muslim, stands up for this minister:

"A Christian minister who has had heated arguments with Muslims on his TV Gospel show has been brutally attacked by three men who ripped off his cross and warned: ‘If you go back to the studio, we’ll break your legs.’

The Reverend Noble Samuel was driving to the studio when a car pulled over in front of him. A man got out and came over to ask him directions in Urdu.

...The Metropolitan Police are treating it as a ‘faith hate’ assault and are hunting three Asian men.

In spite of the attack, Mr Samuel went ahead with his hour-long live Asian Gospel Show on the Venus satellite channel from studios in Wembley, North London. During the show the Muslim station owner Tahir Ali came on air to condemn the attack.

Pakistan-born Mr Samuel, 48, who was educated by Christian missionaries and moved to Britain 15 years ago, said that over the past few weeks he has received phone-in calls from people identifying themselves as Muslims who challenged his views.

‘They were having an argument with me,’ he said. ‘They were very aggressive in saying they did not agree with me. I said those are your views and these are my views.’

God speed, Reverend Samuel, you are a brave man and I admire you.  And to the TV station owner, Tahir Ali, great job.  Thank you!

EU delegation wants normal relations with Hamas!

I have two words for an EU delegation who wants to get chummy with Hamas:  insane and dangerous!

"Members of a high-profile European parliamentary delegation are urging their governments to engage in direct talks with Hamas and end the Islamic movement's international isolation. The push comes after a marathon meeting Saturday between the delegation and Hamas's political leader Khaled Mashaal, who is in exile in Damascus. Britain, the United States and the European Union all consider Hamas a terrorist organization and refuse to have talks with the group until it renounces violence, recognizes Israel and agrees to all previous peace agreements signed by Palestinian negotiators.

...A Damascus-based British diplomat told CBS News that his embassy had “no coordination whatsoever” with the delegation which was “paying the visit on his own contacts.”

Another EU delegation, composed of lawmakers from Greece and Italy, was also expected to land in Damascus within a few days for talks with Hamas — another indication that the Islamist group could no longer be sidelined or ignored in regional peacemaking.

Osama Hamdan, a senior Hamas leader based in Lebanon who joined in today’s talks, said his group had held several prior meetings with Europeans who asked for a total media blackout.

“But this time the British have decided to get today’s talks out from the shadows because they may have realized the failure of the policy of isolating Hamas," Hamdan said."

Top UK Islamic leader calls for attacks against those who stop smuggling to Gaza

Islamists have such freedom in Britain.  I only hope to God these hateful Islamic hegemony people never get this bold in America! 

The Istanbul Declaration that is referred to in this article is not easy to find on the Internet and I'll keep looking but it sounds like it could be a Muslim Brotherhood-backed document:

"One of the UK's most influential Islamic leaders, who has helped counter extremism in the country's mosques, is accused of advocating attacks on the Royal Navy if it tries to stop arms for Hamas being smuggled into Gaza.

Dr Daud Abdullah, deputy director-general of the Muslim Council of Britain, is facing calls for his resignation, after it emerged that he is one of 90 Muslim leaders from around the world who have signed a public declaration in support of Hamas and military action.

Abdullah, who led the MCB's boycott of Holocaust Memorial Day, was a member of the Mosques and Imams National Advisory Board, the body endorsed by the government that trains imams and was set up to curtail the activities of extremist clerics. In January, he briefed the home secretary, Jacqui Smith, and communities secretary Hazel Blears on the situation in Gaza and its likely impact on social cohesion in the UK.

There were calls last night for the government and the MCB to condemn Abdullah's actions. "The British government should stop funding organisations such as the MCB and supporting events such as Islam Expo, which hosts scholars from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan who hold extremist views," said Irfan Al Alawi, international director of the Centre for Islamic Pluralism.

Abdullah's name appears as a signatory to a declaration in Istanbul last month that describes Israel's recent military campaign as "the manifest victory which Allah has granted us in the land of Gaza". It opposes the "so-called Arab peace initiative" and the Palestinian Authority and issues a series of obligations to the "Islamic Nation", calling on it to "carry on with the jihad and resistance against the occupier until the liberation of all Palestine".

Obligation six declares that Muslims must seek to open the crossings in Palestine so that "money, clothing, food, medicine, weapons and other essentials" can enter Gaza and Palestinians "are able to live and perform the jihad in the way of Allah Almighty".

It warns: "The closure of the crossings, or the prevention of the entry of weapons through them, should be regarded as high treason in the Islamic Nation, and clear support for the Zionist enemy."

The most contentious obligation instructs Muslims to attack foreign navies. In January, Gordon Brown offered Royal Navy resources to help monitor events in Gaza and to stop weapons being smuggled into the territory.

But, according to the Istanbul declaration, there is an obligation for "the Islamic Nation to regard the sending of foreign warships into Muslim waters, claiming to control the borders and prevent the smuggling of arms to Gaza, as a declaration of war, a new occupation, sinful aggression, and a clear violation of the sovereignty of the Nation". It continues: "This must be rejected and fought by all means and ways..."

I was there last night - in fact me and my mate were one of the first to arrive. What could possibly go wrong with this brilliant idea? Pupils told to think like a suicide bomber, Little Green Football wrote as a lead in to an article in the London Telegraph wherein we learn students are being encouraged to think like a suicide bomber.

The exercise is part of a teaching pack aimed at secondary school pupils that has been adopted by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. It requires children to prepare a presentation on the July 7 atrocity – in which 52 innocent people died – “from the perspective of the bombers”..."

Britain may widen the definition of Islamic extremism

Britain will likely unveil a broader definition of who is considered a Muslim extremist next month, according to a leaked report, which should give you a good clue how serious the problem is over there.  But Britain is often more an appeaser than not so we will have to see how this plays out.

One Islamic leader said this broader definition would include most Muslims. That's right most Muslims.  Now, if this is accurate, and that's a big if, then the "Religion of Peace" could be a detriment to all civil societies:

"The government is considering plans that would lead to thousands more British Muslims being branded as extremists, the Guardian has learned. The proposals are in a counterterrorism strategy which ministers and security officials are drawing up that is due to be unveiled next month.

Some say the plans would see views held by most Muslims in Britain being classed by the government as extreme.

According to a draft of the strategy, Contest 2 as it is known in Whitehall, people would be considered as extremists if:

• They advocate a caliphate, a pan-Islamic state encompassing many countries.

• They promote Sharia law.

• They believe in jihad, or armed resistance, anywhere in the world. This would include armed resistance by Palestinians against the Israeli military.

• They argue that Islam bans homosexuality and that it is a sin against Allah.

• They fail to condemn the killing of British soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan.

...Those considered extreme would not be targeted by the criminal law, but would be sidelined and denied public funds.

Inayat Bunglawala, a former spokesman for the Muslim Council of Great Britain, said such plans would affect many British Muslims. Bunglawala, who now runs Engage, which tries to get Muslims to participate in politics and civic society, said: "That would alienate the majority of the British Muslim public. It would be counterproductive and class most Muslims as extremists."

The hypocrisy of Britain's Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith

We sure are living in a crazy, upside-down world, it seems sometimes.  Human rights advocate Peter Tatchell points out the absolute hypocrisy of the decision to ban Geert Wilders from Britain:

"...Jacqui Smith has refused Dutch MP Geert Wilders permission to enter Britain on the grounds that his presence would damage community relations and threaten public order. I do not agree with Mr Wilders, but he has never threatened violence against Muslims."  See the BBC news report.
 
"The Home Secretary regularly grants visas and work permits to Jamaican reggae singers who openly incite the murder of lesbian and gay people. Incitement to murder is a very serious criminal offence. The Home Office and Metropolitan Police also allow radio stations and record stores to promote their murder-inciting CDs.

"Last November, Jacqui Smith gave Jamaican reggae singer Bounty Killer (Rodney Price) permission to perform at a concert in east London. He had been banned from Guyana earlier in 2008 over his murderous lyrics, but the British government said he was welcome to sing in the UK.

UK bans Geert Wilders from entering Britain but not Hezbollah spokesman

It has sure caused a row in the Netherlands that Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders was banned from entering Britain after he was invited by UK Independence Party (UKIP) Lord Pearson. 

Wilders vows that he will fly into the UK and be arrested:

"Geert Wilders, leader of the Dutch Freedom Party, vowed to press ahead with his visit to the UK on Thursday despite being banned from entering Britain by Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, on Tuesday night.

Miss Smith's decision prompted the Dutch foreign minister to telephone David Milliband, the Foreign Secretary, to say he was "deeply upset and disappointed" by the decision.

The decision to ban Mr Wilders is likely to be contrasted with the Home Secretary's decision to allow Ibrahim Mousawi, chief spokesman for Lebanese group Hizbollah, to enter Britain last May.

Maxime Verhagen, the Dutch Foreign Minister, said he had called Mr Milliband to say that Holland was "deeply upset and disappointed" by Britain's refusal to allow entry to a Dutch Parliamentarian "from a fellow EC Country".

Mr Wilders told the Daily Telegraph he was "surprised and deeply disappointed by the British Government's stance.

"I hoped my political friends in Britain were closer to Churchill's policies against threats to the country rather than Chamberlain's appeasement policies.

"If they want to put me in handcuffs, a Dutch parliamentarian and party leader and send me back to The Netherlands, so be it.

British PR campaign to Islamic extremists: Please don't hate us - please

The rise of Islamic extremism is growing in London.  The British government will try to stop this with a three month ad campaign in which prominent Muslims will ask these extremists not to hate them.  That's right, folks. 

What fools think a simple message could melt the hardened hearts of those Muslims who are fed a daily dose of hate has any kind of chance? 

"Prominent British Muslims are being recruited to star in a government-backed advertising campaign aimed at preventing people in Pakistan from engaging in extremist activity, the Guardian has learned.

The three-month public relations offensive, called I Am the West, consists of television commercials and high-profile events in regions such as Peshawar and Mirpur. It is being funded by the Foreign Office which is paying up to £400,000 for a pilot project.

Starring in the first three adverts are Sadiq Khan, the communities minister, Jehangir Malik, the UK manager of Islamic Relief, English cricketer Moeen Ali and the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Chaudry Abdul Rashid, who is from Mirpur. Mirpuris represent around 70% of Britain's Pakistani population.

According to a project synopsis, the target audience is 15-25-year-old males who are "less than well-educated and worldly wise, but potentially susceptible to extremist doctrines". If successful, it will be implemented in Egypt, Yemen and Indonesia..."

Foster mother banned for allowing Muslim girl to convert to Christianity

This happened in Britain, folks:

"A foster mother has been struck off the register for allowing a Muslim girl in her care to convert to Christianity.

The woman, who has looked after more than 80 children in the past ten years, is considering suing the council over the decision.

Although she is a practising Anglican, she said she had put no pressure on the girl who was baptised last year at the age of 16.

She said social workers had also raised no objections to her own attendance at church.

But officials insist she failed in her duty to preserve the girl's religion and should have tried to stop the baptism.

Last April, they ruled that the girl, now 17, should stay away from church for six church.

...'In recent months we have seen a nurse, adoption agencies, firemen, registrars, elderly care homes  -  and now a foster carer  -  being punished because of the Christian beliefs they hold. It has to stop.'

Yusef Qaradawi hate speech on al-Jazeera criticized by British MPs

Terror-supporter Yusef Qaradawi is a popular Sunni cleric and the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood who is often given a stage on al-Jazeera TV. 

Why Britain allows this TV station to be broadcast there is beyond stupid:

"The television network al-Jazeera has been criticised by MPs for broadcasting the sermons of a Muslim cleric in which he celebrates the Holocaust and prays for the killing of all Jews.

John Whittingdale, chairman of the House of Commons Media Select Committee, urged al-Jazeera yesterday to apologise for broadcasting the messages of Yusuf al-Qaradawi and to ban the cleric, one of the network’s top hosts, from appearing on screen.

“I would hope that anybody who watches it or is aware of it may change their attitude towards al-Jazeera,” he told The Times. “I would’ve thought it is very damaging. Al-Jazeera should apologise.”

But the network, which is gaining popularity in Britain through its English channel, refused to apologise for Sheikh al-Qaradawi’s statements, which were broadcast on al-Jazeera’s Arabic station, saying that it could not control the words and opinions expressed during “live” broadcasts.

CIA warns British terrorists biggest threat to U.S.

There's an article in the Sunday edition of the London Telegraph that is worth passing along.  It seems odd this information was made public, though. 

I found it troubling how narrow this assessment is of our terror threat considering 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 came from Saudi Arabia:

"American spy chiefs have told the President that the CIA has launched a vast spying operation in the UK to prevent a repeat of the 9/11 attacks being launched from Britain.

They believe that a British-born Pakistani extremist entering the US under the visa waiver programme is the most likely source of another terrorist spectacular on American soil.

Intelligence briefings for Mr Obama have detailed a dramatic escalation in American espionage in Britain, where the CIA has recruited record numbers of informants in the Pakistani community to monitor the 2,000 terrorist suspects identified by MI5, the British security service.

A British intelligence source revealed that a staggering four out of 10 CIA operations designed to thwart direct attacks on the US are now conducted against targets in Britain.

And a former CIA officer who has advised Mr Obama told The Sunday Telegraph that the CIA has stepped up its efforts in the last month after the Mumbai massacre laid bare the threat from Lashkar-e-Taiba, the militant group behind the attacks, which has an extensive web of supporters in the UK.

The CIA has already spent 18 months developing a network of agents in Britain to combat al-Qaeda, unprecedented in size within the borders of such a close ally, according to intelligence sources in both London and Washington.

Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer who has advised Mr Obama, told The Sunday Telegraph: "The British Pakistani community is recognised as probably al-Qaeda's best mechanism for launching an attack against North America.

Britain's Muslim growth rate 10 times the norm

The writing may be on the wall for Britain - in the decades to come.  Pay particular attention to the last sentence:

"The Muslim population in Britain has grown by more than 500,000 to 2.4 million in just four years, according to official research collated for The Times.

The population multiplied 10 times faster than the rest of society, the research by the Office for National Statistics reveals. In the same period the number of Christians in the country fell by more than 2 million.

Experts said that the increase was attributable to immigration, a higher birthrate and conversions to Islam during the period of 2004-2008, when the data was gathered. They said that it also suggested a growing willingness among believers to describe themselves as Muslims because the western reaction to war and terrorism had strengthened their sense of identity.

Muslim leaders have welcomed the growing population of their communities as academics highlighted the implications for British society, integration and government resources.

David Coleman, Professor of Demography at Oxford University, said: “The implications are very substantial. Some of the Muslim population, by no means all of them, are the least socially and economically integrated of any in the United Kingdom ... and the one most associated with political dissatisfaction. You can't assume that just because the numbers are increasing that all will increase, but it will be one of several reasonable suppositions that might arise.”

...There are more than 42.6 million Christians in Britain, according to the Office for National Statistics, whose figures were obtained through the quarterly Labour Force Survey of around 53,000 homes. But while the biggest Christian population is among over-70s bracket, for Muslims it is the under-4s.

The youth wing of Hamas calls for Spain to be returned to the Muslims

In an artlcle published on Spain's Minuto Digital, it is being reported that the youth wing of Hamas proclaimed on their website:  'Hamas' calls for a return to the hands of Muslim Spain"

Geert Wilders ordered to stand trial for anti-Islamic remarks

Fitna, a documentary about Islamism and terrorists and its relationship to the Quran, was produced by Geert Wilders.  Now a Dutch court believes Wilders should be tried for hate speech. 

Trying people for criticism of Islam or Islamism is exactly what the Organization of Islamic Conference wants to happen, which is exactly how it is done in Islamic countries.

God Help Us All:

"A Dutch court has ordered prosecutors to put a right-wing politician on trial for making anti-Islamic statements.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders made a controversial film last year equating Islam with violence and has likened the Koran to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.

In a democratic system, hate speech is considered so serious that it is in the general interest to... draw a clear line," the court in Amsterdam said.

Mr Wilders said the ruling was a "black day for me and for freedom of speech".

"I am shaken. I had absolutely not expected it," he told the Dutch news agency, ANP."

The UN's flawed resolve  12/29/08

The 57-state Organization of the Islamic Conference has successfully brought the United Nations resolution on combating defamation of religions to a vote every year since 1999 with little variation. At Durban II, (April 09) this resolution, which is essentially a cover for Islamic blasphemy laws, will be taking center stage.

British Muslim civil servant suspended for his Islamist views on his blog

Azad Ali, lives in Britain,  he shares similar views about Israel along with a number of Muslims.  However, Ali got suspended from his government job for expressing that Islam requires they fight. 

How can we ever forget, too, how their religion was represented at numerous anti-Israel demonstrations in the last couple of weeks across America, Canada and Europe expressing to us the depth of their hatred and anger which can only come from hearts that are sufficiently filled with hate - often.  Muslim parents should be ashamed how their young teenagers and adults behaved. Unfortunately, many young children were also at these rallies, learning first hand how to scream "Israel is the real terrorist" and hold signs of hate.  Way to go.

Yet,  at the very next interfaith meetings we will be told Islam is ONLY a "Religion of Peace".

OK, whatever you say.

"A Muslim British civil servant was suspended from his senior government job following radical views expressed in his Weblog.

Azad Ali, who is also the president of the Civil Service Islamic Society, complained in his blog about the British government’s response to what he described as “the Zionist terrorist State of Israel,” and described as religious obligation the killing of American and British soldiers in Iraq.

Last week Ali wrote on the internet site “Between The Lines," an article titled “We Are The Resistance." In it, he wrote, “From the outset of this latest massacre, the Zionist terrorist state of Israel had only one aim, to destroy all semblance of resistance. As the days move on and the number murdered passes the 1,000 mark, we have yet to hear any condemnation from our government.”

He also criticized moderate Muslims, saying, “the propaganda machine of the terrorist state can claim one victory that it has managed to sway some ‘Muslims’ to drop the call for a condemnation and recognition of the crime being committed against the Gazans."

Actor Mickie Rourke: I couldn't believe all these hate-talking fanatics

Actor Mickie Rourke had the guts to say what many already know.  Blinded are those, who are too consumed by stupidity and hate for Bush:

"President Bush was in the wrong place at the wrong time, I don't know how anyone could have handled this situation.

"I don't give a (expletive) who's in office, Bush or whoever, there is no simple solution to this problem... I'm not one of those who blames Bush for everything. This s**t between Christians and Muslims goes back to the Crusades, doesn't it.

"It's too easy to blame everything on one guy. These are unpredictable, dangerous times, and I don't think that anyone really knows quite what to do."

Rourke also confesses he was so angry after 9/11, he wanted to fight the war on terror himself.

He adds, "I'm not politically educated. But I do know that after 9/11 I wanted to go over there, you know what I'm saying?"

And the star is baffled by the U.K.'s approach to fundamentalists - insisting he was taken aback by the freedom of speech allowed in the U.K.

He explains, "I was in London recently and I couldn't believe all these hate-talking fanatics you have over here who are allowed to carry on doing their thing even when a bus full of women and children gets blown to pieces.

"I know you've deported one or two of them, but it seems crazy. I think there is worse to come, something terrible will happen to either America or the U.K., or France even. I don't think these fundamentalists should be allowed to talk all this crap, and brainwashing these young kids."    Daily Express

This man, who often plays odd and quirkier roles,  has got a good grip on the danger we face from Islamists. 

Way to go.

Angry London Muslims march

This video was shot from the viewpoint of a protestor at the front of the march to support Hamas controlled-Gaza.  It took place January 3rd.

Listen to the words of these fine young Muslims who show us they are anything but peaceful.   They have such anger and hate in their hearts which seems to match what we see in the Middle East.

Madonna threatened by Muslims for going to Israel

It looks like even pop-stars may come under the rath or face danger from Islamists if they visit Israel. 

"Pop-icon Madonna has received death threats from Muslim extremists following the Israel Defense Forces' ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip, according to a report by the newspaper People.

...Following the threats Madonna reportedly hired two Israeli bodyguards to provide security for her and her family.

The report states that an internet site affiliated with Muslim extremists quotes a top official of the Palestinian Popular Front committees' saying "If I meet her? I will have the honor of being first to behead her if they continue to spread their satanic culture against Islam."

The bodyguards that were hired warned Madonna's husband, Guy Ritchie, that his home, located on a busy London street, is in danger of being attacked, especially when he is looking after the couple's three children.

Madonna has requested that Ritchie, from whom she had recently separated, find a new home that would be safer, and the latter promised to do so upon his return from New York. Meanwhile, the children are staying at a different location."
