Saudi Arabia, Libya, Qatar, Bahrain embassies helped fund CAIR's annual banquet

Daila Mogehed, the president's faith-based Muslim advisor, was originally scheduled to be a keynote speaker at CAIR's annual fundraising banquet.  Jessie Jackson spoke to the group in her place.  Funding for the event was paid, in part, by the embassies of Saudi Arabia, Lybia, Qatar and Bharian.  None of the "local businesses" were identified.

Highlights from the dinner were found at Muslimlinkpaper:

...Many of the evening's speeches included references to the recent sensationalist press conference by four House Republicans — Paul Broun (R-GA), Trent Franks (R-AZ), Sue Myrick (R-NC) and John Shadegg (R-AZ) — who claimed Muslims were “infiltrating” Capitol Hill through placing Muslim interns in congressional offices. Increasing the number of Muslim interns on Captiol Hill is indeed a part of CAIR's agenda, but its an open program implemented by most advocacy organizations. Scores of mainstream newspaper and cable commentators ridiculed the press conference.

“Our children are not terrorists, they are America's brightest prospects,” Mahdi Bray said of the interns.

Dr. Esam Omeish, who vied for a place in the Virginia House of Delegates in last summer's elections, called on Muslims to embrace their citizenship, and said “being Muslim and American are one and the same” because they are “based on the same values.”

CAIR played the video of Rachel Maddow's MSNBC segment deriding the Muslim intern spy before Executive Director Nihad Award took the stage. Awad said the anti-CAIR campaign is rooted in Islamophobia, and told the audience most of the daily hate mail CAIR receives contain attacks on Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). 

Sponsoring the event were dozens of local and national organizations, businesses, families, and the embassies of Bahrain, Libya, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia...

Young Muslim woman run over by own father has died

Noor Faleh Almaleki, the young Arizona Muslim woman who was run over by her father for being too westernized died last night.  She never regained consciousness.

Her father, Faleh Hassan Almaleki,  had fled to Britian by crossing the Mexican border.  He is now in custody in the U.S.

...Interviewed on arrival, Mr Almaleki told UK Border Agency officers that he was planning to spend a week visiting cousins in Glasgow, but he was denied entry because he had only $400 (£245) cash with him and his nominated sponsor in the UK was unemployed.

Officers also discovered on questioning Mr Almaleki that he lived in Arizona with his wife and seven children but when they tried to organise his return to the US they were told that he was wanted for assault over the attack on his daughter.

He was finally deported last Thursday and was taken to jail in Maricopa County, Arizona, to be held on charges of aggravated assault – charges that will now be upgraded.

"By his own admission, this was an intentional act and the reason was that his daughter had brought shame on him and his family," Stephanie Low, a Maricopa County prosecutor, told a court at the weekend. "This was an attempt at an honour killing."...

Muslim Public Affairs Council warns government agenices and media

The Muslim Public Affairs Council issued a press release, following the death of a controversial Imam in Detroit during a gun fight with the FBI, which warns the U.S. government about exploitation of the incident.

The Muslim Public Affairs Council today said it is "deeply disturbed" by the shooting death of a Detroit-area imam by FBI agents, who sought to arrest him and 11 other men on a host of criminal charges. MPAC called on the FBI and the Department of Justice to conduct an investigation into the events that led to the death of Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, leader of Masjid Al-Haqq.

...With so much left unknown in the developing case, MPAC is warning government agencies and media outlets of the alarming exploitation of this isolated incident that is stigmatizing Muslim American communities around the country. U.S. Attorney Terrence Berg today asked people not to connect the allegations brought against the group of men with Muslims in general.

"There is a clear and present danger in the escalating mob mentality against vulnerable Muslim Americans," said Salam Al-Marayati, MPAC Executive Director.

As is always the case with news reports regarding alleged terror plots, MPAC is concerned about the possibility of backlash against Muslim, African American, Arab, and South Asian Americans. Based on past experiences, we offer the following recommendations..."

The escalating mob mentality against Muslims?  Do they have specific examples?

The Muslim Brotherhood English website has featured MPAC's article as you can see in the screen shot I took today from their website.  Note the blue box which highlights the MB chair's statement that jihad is the path to liberate Al-Asqa mosque.  This mosque was built over a Jewish temple after Muslim invaded Jerusalem centuries ago.  Virtually, the whole Islamic world believes this land is their land.

 
MPAC has its own Hollywood Bureau where they seek to influence the mostly left-leaning industry and is another example how the left partners with Islamists.

MPAC has given media awards to Michael Moore, Alex Baldwin to name a few.  In fact,  Alex Baldwin is featured on the cover of their Hollywood brochure.

New York: Muslim wife slashes husand's throat for being too Western

A Muslim woman in New York tried to kill her husband Wednesday because he was too Western:

A soft-spoken Muslim woman tried to slit her husband's throat as he slept - enraged that he made her eat pork and wear sexy skirts, officials said.

"It's time for you to die!" screamed Rabia Sarwar as she pounced on hubby Sheikh Naseem, sources said.

He woke early Wednesday to find her straddling his chest and hacking at his neck with a knife.

...Sarwar was released on $25,000 bail after being arraigned yesterday on attempted murder rap charges. She claimed "months of emotional abuse and duress," sources said. Cops had no record of domestic abuse complaints against Naseem.

The husband survived.

Detroit Muslim leaders call shooting death of Imam entrapment

Wednesday's death of a Detroit area Imam who refused to surrender to the FBI was called entrapment by a group of Detroit Muslim leaders who met with the FBI:

Muslim leaders from metro Detroit said at a meeting today with the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office that the shooting death of a Detroit imam was a case of entrapment involving unreliable informants who targeted poor Detroiters.

Imam Abdullah El-Amin, head of the Muslim Center of Detroit, said he was one of about 20 imams who attended the 90-minute meeting this afternoon with FBI Detroit Special Agent in Charge Andrew Arean and U.S. Attorney Terrence Berg.

Federal authorities claim that Luqman Ameen Abdullah – shot dead Wednesday by FBI agents during a shootout – was a violent extremist bent on attacking the U.S. government and establishing Islamic rule.

But local Muslims told FBI officials at the meeting today that the criminal complaint reveals a case involving undercover informants who pushed Abdullah and his followers to deal in stolen fur coats, laptop computers and a couple of other minor crimes.

Meanwhile, the FBI arrested the slain Imam's son today.

Congressman Keith Ellison shills for CAIR

Below is a video clip of Congressman Keith Ellison (i.e., Keith Hakim, Keith X Ellison and Keith Ellison Muhammad), the first Muslim elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, blasting concerns of conservative lawmakers about an internal CAIR document outlining their goals to influence Congress.

Funny, Ellison never mentioned CAIR's document.  It's no wonder he is standing with CAIR since he also called for Muslim lobbyists in the nation’s capital (scroll down) at a dinner held by CAIR California in 2008.

FBI raids Islamic meathouse in Kinsman, Illinois

Last Sunday, in the small town of Kinsman, Illinois close to 100 FBI agents and police surrounded an Islamic meathouse:

The law enforcement officers, including FBI agents, immigration officials and state police, surrounded an Islamic meat plant in Kinsman, cordoning off the area and briefly detaining the plant's handful of employees.

The FBI isn't saying much, and the county sheriff is mum too, leaving Kinsman's residents mystified. The bust, in a town that has no local police force, involved dozens of vehicles, a pair of snipers and a helicopter flying overhead, witnesses said — but it ended without even a single arrest.

...But the two men listed as the proprietors of the business appear to be under scrutiny. A staff member at the First World Management office in Chicago identified Syed Hamid, 51, as an employee, and confirmed that Tahawara Hussain Rana, 48, is the owner of the business.

Residents believe Hamid lives in a house adjoining the shop in Kinsman and runs the slaughterhouse. Hamid, a doctor, has been in talks with a Chicago lawyer, George Jackson III, who told Foxnews.com he doesn't anticipate Hamid will be charged with a crime. Jackson said he and Hamid had spoken to investigators since the raid.

Rana's case isn't so clear. Jackson said he could not comment, and phone calls to the Rana household in Chicago went unanswered...

Rachael Maddow shills for CAIR

Rachael Maddow bashes Republicans nightly on her opinion show on MSNBC.  Recently, she joined the side of CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America with a very long and troubling history, against several Republicans in Congress who produced a CAIR document outlining their plans to lobby and influence Congress!  CAIR is not an IRS designated lobbying organization but a civil rights one. 

Now on their part, CAIR has not denied this is their document, that I can find.  Instead, they just gather their leftist partners who help them bash Republicans.  This is how Islamists and the Dems destroyed the reputation of President George Bush.

CAIR-OK: Muslim fired for hanging up on a customer

CAIR-OK issued a press release this afternoon regarding an incident that happened at the Sprint Call Center in Oklahoma City on September 26, 2009.

A customer, allegedly, called the call center and, during the course of the call,  asked the customer service rep. their name or was told the name.  Then,  the customer, allegedly,  asked the rep. if he was a Muslim, which he confirmed (I say he because the press release used the words "his supervisor").  Then, the customer, allegedly, said they didn't want to talk to the rep anymore, possibly cursed,  and the Sprint rep. hung-up on the customer.  A week later the rep. was fired.

CAIR-OK described the customer's call a "hate call" and seeks an apology from Sprint.

Sprint has a policy that no employee can hang-up on a customer, period.

Father attacks daughter with his car for being too westernized

In Peoria, Arizona yesterday Faleh Hassan Almaleki attacked his daughter and her friend with his car because she was "too westernized."  Her family and friends said he had threatned her before.

Peoria (AZ) police are searching for a man who allegedly hit his daughter and a friend with his car because he believed his daughter had become “too westernized."

Noor Faleh Almaleki, 20, and Amal Edan Khalaf, 43, were rushed to the hospital after being struck by the car in the parking lot of a Department of Economic Security building Tuesday, according to Peoria Police spokesperson Mike Tellef.

Police are searching for Almaleki and his car, a grey or silver 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Arizona license plate ADS-9192.

His daughter is in critical condition.

Terrorism plot uncovered in Boston

One man was arrested in Boston and others are involved in alleged terrorism plans to harm Americans.  A DOJ news conference is pending.  Will report further information as it comes out.

Muslim Student Association of Temple University speaks out against Geert Wilders

The Muslim Student Association of Temple University has issued a statement against Geert Wilders speaking at the university on the 20th.  They complained that since backpacks are not allowed at the event it reinforced their argument the event is unsafe.  What?  Isn't the purpose of this restriction to ensure no Islamic suicide bomber enters the building?  But the Temple MSA spins it to be the fault of Wilders. 

The Temple University Muslim Students Association (MSA), one of the largest, most active and socially conscious student organizations on Temple's campus, is issuing this public statement of protest concerning the invitation of Geert Wilders to address the Temple community on October 20, 2009.

...Temple MSA speaks for the many Muslims and socially conscious students and faculty on campus when we say that the presence of Geert Wilders on our campus is a breech of Temple University’s pledge to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all students and faculty on campus. The Muslim population at Temple feels attacked, threatened, and ultimately unsafe that Mr. Wilders has been invited to voice his hate-driven opinions. The fact alone that backpacks are prohibited for entry to this event reinforces our argument that this creates an unsafe atmosphere where prejudiced, racist and vehemently hateful words will be disguised under the veil of academia.

Oklahomans under the watchful eye of CAIR-OK

CAIR OK has an internship program that was outlined in their recent on-line request for participants, found at idealist.org,, which includes close monitoring of the media within the state, writing letters-to-the-editor if there is anti-Muslim coverage.  CAIR's Oklahoma internship program also includes the opportunity to work with government officials and on projects that include police misconduct, airport racial profiling and cases that include slights such as  "prejudiced gesture."  Does that mean CAIR-OK would actually go after someone who makes a gesture they deem prejudiced?  I'm sorry but I don't know what that even means.

The program involves the updating of a database about abuses in Oklahoma. CAIR-OK goes on to state that the work of interns will be published and featured "as letters to the editor and as perspective pieces in Oklahoma's main newspapers such as the Oklahoman, Tulsa World, as well as community papers, Edmond Sun, Stillwater Newspress, Norman Transcript, City Sentinel, Oklahoma Gazette, and many others."

Rifqa Bary ordered to return to Ohio by Florida judge

A Florida judge has ordered teenage runaway, Rifqa Bary, to return to her home state of Ohio, after proof her immigration papers are in order.  A hearing is set for October 23rd to address these issues prior to the transfer.  Once in Ohio, she will be placed in foster care. 

Bary ran away from home for fear she would be killed or harmed by her father after she converted to Christianity.  Her parents are Muslims.

Muslim threatened to kill self and others in D.C.

A young Muslim man, caused quite a security scare in Washington, D.C. last week but I didn't see anything on the news about it.  Perhaps  I missed the coverage.

...It all happened because of a young man who was caught on camera by FOX 5 sitting in on the sidewalk along Wisconsin Avenue wearing a blue sweater and handcuffs. Police say the man's name is Ahamed Ali, based on a driver license from Bangladesh. Witnesses and police say Ali had been hanging around Chevy Chase Pavilion for a couple of days, taking notes, making threats, and acting strangely. Now, according to a police report obtained by FOX 5, more is known about what had concerned passersby and police. Investigators say Ali was overheard calling out: "I'm not scared to die! I will kill you! I will blow people up and the Metro!" "He made some statements, threatening individuals," said Sgt. Guy Poirier of the Joint Terrorist Task Force. "At that point we had to take him at his word, what he meant."

...Detectives also searched Ali's backpack right on the sidewalk in front of the Cheesecake Factory. In the backpack, police say they found a notebook with "I will kill you" written inside. It contained diagrams of bridges, mosques and other buildings in Washington..."

Federl investigators apparently took over the case for now.  Ali is due in court this week.

President Obama's Muslim advisor on show hosted by Hizb ut Tahrir - defends Sharia Law!

Not only did Dalia Mogahed (pronounced mujahid), President Obama's faith-based Muslim advisor,  participate on a British TV show, via telephone, hosted by members of the extremist Islamic supremacy group Hizb ut Tahrir, she claimed Sharia Law is misunderstood by the West and told the audience that most Muslim women she interviewed wanted it!  Mogahed also did not challenge any anti-West statements made by the HT members on the show. Nasreen Nawaz, Huzb ut Tahrir 's representative for women was also on the show.  The video of the 45 minute show is proudly posted on HT's website in the UK. 

Additionally, and this is the real kicker, Islam Channel, the station this show is aired, is an "Islamist" TV outlet run by CEO Mohammed Ali Harrath, a convicted terrorist who is wanted by Interpol!

CAIR-Chicago: Chicago is America's Mecca!

Islam Awareness Week is taking place at Northwestern University in Chicago this week.  Several statements made by Muslims from an article titled Even in America’s Mecca, a need for education and understanding of Islam caught my attention :

...We’re not saying people are ignorant," said Atiya Haque, Muslim-cultural Students Association co-president. "We’re just trying to make 1.2 billion people in the world a bit more visible."

...Gerald Hankers, outreach coordinator of Chicago’s Council on American-Islam Relations, said Chicago is known as America’s Mecca -- the perfect classroom to learn about an oft-misinterpreted religion.

..."Islam is a global religion – one of the fastest growing – and without a program dedicated to a complete understanding of an otherwise misunderstood faith, we are undermining our understanding," said Dulce Acosta-Licea, Northwestern senior and Islamic Studies Program Committee Chair.

Christianity is a global religion that far outdates and out-numbers Muslims.  The Gospel of Jesus makes Christianity a beautiful, loving, kind religion that give peace and comfort to millions upon millions of Christians.  Many more people could benefit from its teachings and make this world a far better place.

The Quran claims Islam is the last religion and one that is to rein superior over all other religions.  This book lays out the ground work for Islamic supremacy, if it taken literally.

Appellate court upholds sentence of ex-professor linked to Hamas

Former Washington Howard University professor Abdelhaleem Ashqar was sentenced to 11 years in prison for  his refusal to testify to a grand jury about his relationship with the Palestinian militant group Hamas. He appealed and last Friday the higher court ruled his sentence should stand:

...But the appeals court said St. Eve (the trial judge) did not commit an error when she applied a lesser standard -- the preponderance of the evidence -- in finding that Ashqar had been involved in terrorism. 

...Having found that Ashqar was involved with Hamas, St. Eve correctly applied a "terrorism enhancement" to his obstruction sentence, the appeals court said...

I'm telling you there are Islamists in America today who are doctors, professors, teachers, and probably even some government officials.  It took President George Bush and his administration eight years to weed out some of them.  But he didn't get them all,  I can assure you.

Another convicted ex-professor terror-supporter from Florida. Sami Al-Arian,  has also refused to testify before a grand jury.

Tulsa: Former Muslim, now atheist, received death threats

A former Muslim, who is now an atheist, received death threats after going public about his reason for leaving Islam and his dislike for all religions.  This didn't happen in a foreign country but in the middle of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Sabri Husibi, a native of Syria, has lived in the United States for about 10 years.  On the 26th of September an interview with him was published by the Tulsa World titled Islamic student turned atheist to speak to group about his long decision to leave Islam and his rejection of all religions. 

Then, in a followup interview last Thursday Husibi told the World he received death threats and other angry phone calls which he said were from foreign-born Tulsa area Muslims whom he knew who took offense to his view on Islam.

CAIR complains about Bible Study form - school apologizes

CAIR, sprung from the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, wrote a formal letter to Huron Park Elementary in Roseville, Michigan complaining that Bible study forms from a neighborhood church were sent home with students was inappropriate.

CAIR, is probably the most two-faced Islamist organization in America!  They won't hesitate to ask that Muslim students be released from school for Friday prayers, or send 100,000 Qurans to public officials or go into your child's school to speak about Islam and painting it as a natural progression from Christianity. 

As an unidicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial, CAIR's reputation is significantly tainted.  Yet, schools and politicians cave to them in disturbing ways.

FBI post domestic investigations guide; CAIR whines

On Tuesday, the FBI posted their domestic investigation guidelines (DIOG).  It only took a day for CAIR, a Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas minion,  to ask the Department of Justice and the Obama administration to rethink them:

...The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued that call after the release of a redacted version of the FBI's Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide that whites-out portions (Part 16) about guidance on "undisclosed participation," which relates to the use of confidential informants in American houses of worship such as mosques.

...It is the FBI's use of informants in mosques without probable cause indicating criminal activity that has been of particular concern to the American Muslim community and, in part, caused national Islamic groups earlier this year to consider suspending ties with the FBI.

The FBI, as you recall, suspended ties with CAIR last fall.

FBI shuns CAIR but not President Obama's faith-based Muslim advisor, Dalia Mogahed

President Obama's Muslim Advisor, Dalia Mogahed,  on his Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, will be speaking at CAIR's annual banquet!  CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, was also named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror-funding case.

In fact, she's sharing the keynote spot with Sirjaq Wahhaj, who may have been named a potential unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.  I say "may have" because I can't find the actual federal court documents related to this case.  So without the actual documents, there's strong speculation about this based on three major newspaper articles listed below which mentioned him in this context.

Islam on Capitol Hill attendance falls short

Today, only about 3,000 to 3,500 Muslims attended the 1st Friday prayer on Capitol Hill.  Organizers had predicted 50,000 being bused in from most states.

For now Rifqa Bary, the Christian teenager who ran away from home, will remain in Florida a judge ruled today.  But Ohio is likely to seek jurisdiction. 

Also,  her parents filed a complaint with the Florida police department against the Christian family who first helped her after she arrived in Florida,  They called authorities on her behalf right away, if I recall correctly.

EEOC files hijab discrimination lawsuit in Tulsa court

The EEOC filed a lawsuit in Tulsa, Oklahoma last Wednesday against Abercrombie and Fitch over a hijab discrimination claim:

...In a lawsuit in federal court, the US equal employment opportunity commission said that 18-year-old Samantha Elauf of Tulsa, Oklahoma was turned down for a sales position because her hijab violated Abercrombie & Fitch's "look policy" for sales staff.

...In June 2008 Elauf was interviewed for a position at Abercrombie Kids shop at a shopping mall in Tulsa. Michelle Robertson, an attorney with the commission, said Elauf typically wears a black headscarf but would have been happy to wear a different colour to accommodate the "look policy", but the company barred all such coverings.

"Abercrombie and Fitch should make exceptions to its policy when needed and we don't believe it would be an undue burden on the company," Robertson said.

Update 9/23/09:  Time Magazine wrote an article about this case:

The suit says that Abercrombie "failed to accommodate her religious beliefs by making an exception to the Look Policy...According to the EEOC, Elauf got word through a friend, who worked in the store, that the headscarf cost her the job...Elauf is suing for back pay and compensation related to emotional pain and anxiety. "If these allegations are true," says Chuck Thornton, deputy director of the ACLU of Oklahoma, "they are serious. This case could hinge on a jury's interpretation of the phrase "undue hardship." If Abercrombie & Fitch had made an exception of its Look Policy for Elauf — a "reasonable accommodation" — would that move have hurt the Abercrombie brand?...Would shoppers at that Abercrombie Kids store have been so jarred by the hijab that they wouldn't have bought the company's jeans? If the company makes that case, it doesn't think much of the religious tolerance of the good folks of Oklahoma...As for Elauf, she is under attorney's orders to keep quiet about the case. But her grandfather, Ata Elauf, is clearly irked. "They put a wedge into her Americanism," says Elauf. "She grew up here speaking the language, going to school. Why did they do this? She's sort of confused."

Time is owned by Time Warner who also owns CNN.  They often present the news through the prism of a liberal perspective.

Calling on American Islamic leaders: Own up to martyrdom in Islam

Today 32 people lost their lives in Pakistan in a likely martyrdom operation.  Daily these attacks seem to take place. Unfortunately, the media always refer to these as suicide events but in reality they are carried out by Muslims who are martyring themselves for Islam.  Now, whether these young men and women, who are sometimes teenagers or younger, destroyed their life and that of others to please Allah following Islamic law correctly is another question.  We need clarification.

Take a moment to review Malik Ali who in 2002 cried out to other Muslims in America not to call these attackers suicide bombers because they are martyrs!  Ali, as it make sicken you to know,  is one of the organizers who was granted a park permit to hold the first every Friday pray on the Washington Mall next Friday.  They hope for 50,000 Muslims, who will be bused in from all over the country, if all goes well.  This will be a major day for thousands of Muslims and for Islam.  The organizers credit President Obama for this historic event.

Also know the largest Islamic inter-governmental agency in the world, the Organization of Islamic Conference's own Fiqh Council ruled martyrdom is not terrorism and is acceptable according to Islamic law to defend the Islamic creed, dignity, freedom and the sovereignty of states.  Only the U.N. is a larger body, although it is not all Islamic - it is gaining serious ground.

So, it's incumbent for us to use the correct terms in discussions with Muslims.  Don't use the word terrorism anymore.  Martyrdom is the correct term to use. Defending the Islamic creed to please Allah calls for martyrdom in certain circumstances.  Martyrdom is a form of jihad and sometimes it is a required obligation.  We need to know when.  If a Muslim leader denies martyrdom is a part of Islam, ask for them to be put it in writing on their mosque's website for clarification. They won't.  If they tell you they already have issued a statement about terrorism - well,  that's just going around in circles.

It is incumbent for Islamic leaders in the U.S. to inform us what operations are Islamic legitimate as they occur as part of their continuing education about Islam. To do less is not being honest.  Ask about specific attacks.  Ask why Islamic leaders in America aren't doing more to force the issue with Islamic leaders in other countries if these attacks are against Islam. Ask why there is a never-ending supply of jihadists.  Ask Muslim leaders to put in writing that the daily martyrdom attacks overseas are against Islam,  if they claim they are. Do they disagree with the OIC?  Will they put that in writing?  Actually, they should be shouting this from rooftops all over America at every opportunity for the world to hear!  Are martyrdom operations always wrong? No more pat assurances that Islam is only a religion of peace without these clarifications. Referencing past statements against terrorism to answer these specific questions do not cut it.  Enough. 

Don't they see it is Muslims themselves who are giving Islam the bad name?  So, I think it would be very helpful to have a website that lists lslamic approved martyrdom attacks as they occur for us to review as part of our on-going Islamic education, don't you think? 

Come on American Muslim leaders - step up.

CIA Director, Leon Panetta, makes appeal to Muslim leaders

CIA Director Leon Panetta spoke at his first Ramadan dinner last night in Detroit, Michigan to 150 Islamic leaders.

...“I need you. The nation needs you,” Panetta said during a 25-minute speech to about 150 people at an iftar, the evening meal that breaks the fast during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

The address represented one of the Central Intelligence Agency’s highest-profile recruiting efforts aimed at Arab-Americans and Muslims. Panetta said it was his first speech at a Ramadan break-fast dinner.

The agency this year announced a five-year plan to boost fluency in Arabic and other languages the CIA deems critical to its work. Panetta aims to raise foreign language proficiency inside the CIA from less than a third to at least half of all analysts and intelligence operatives...We have to reflect the face of this nation, and we have to reflect the face of the world,” said Panetta, drawing applause from the gathering..."

Oklahoma City mosque spokesman: white women are our largest converts

Saad Mohammad, a spokesman for the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISOGOC) told the OKGazatte in an article dated September 2, 2009, that white women make up the largest group of converts, or as some Muslims call it, reverts, this past year.  Revert means reverting to the first religion even though Judaism and Christianity predates Islam by hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. Some would criticize this as part of Islamic supremacy.

Mohammad also said the growth of Islam in Oklahoma is responsible for the 12 mosques throughout the state.

Baptist Minister speaks about Rifqa Bary

Ergun Caner is a Baptist minister who lives in Virginia with his wife and kids.  Recently, he was interviewed about Rifqa Bary, the 17 year-old girl who fled her home in Ohio to Florida out of fear for her life after she converted to Christianity. 

It might interest you to know that Caner, too, was a Muslim in Ohio who became a Christian at age 16:

"...In her Aug. 30 sworn affidavit, the 17-year-old (Bary) said in June her father was pressured by leaders of the family mosque, the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Columbus, to deal with reports they had received concerning Rifqa’s Christian conversion.

“In a fit of anger that I had never seen before in my life, he picked up my lap top, waived it over my head as if to strike me with it and said, ‘If you have this Jesus in your heart, you are dead to me! You are no longer my daughter,’” Rifqa said in the affidavit.

...Brian Williams, a 21-year-old friend of Rifqa, contacted FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) on Aug. 28, noting that he filed a report with the Columbus Police Department that she had told him about her father’s threat and her mother finding Christian materials in July. Williams also told FDLE he baptized Rifqa in June. He also said he drove Rifqa from a friend’s house to the bus station when she decided to flee.

...The FDLE report noted during the Aug. 27 interview with the Bary family, two officials of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) were present, including CAIR attorney Romin Iqbal who characterized honor killings as “cultural and tribal, not related directly to the Islamic religious practice.”

...According to Ergun Mehmet Caner, the FDLE report is an example of “political correctness” that may endanger Rifqa’s life.  “Her blood, which is almost certain to be shed if returned, is on their hands. The police and judicial branch in Florida were her last hope,” Caner said in a Sept. 15 interview with Florida Baptist Witness..."

Carner also told the Witness that a fatwa for his death was issued last year and he takes extra security precations.  He said “Death for apostasy from Islam is firmly rooted in the most sacred Muslim texts,” citing the Qur’an and the Hadith, collections about Islam’s prophet, Muhammad.“There is also a consensus by all four schools of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence, as well as Shi’ite jurists, that apostates from Islam must be put to death,” he said.  Rifqa, he said, brings dishonor to her family by her Christian faith. 

He was critical, too,  that CAIR was present during an interview with Bary's family.

Goveror Strickland of Ohio apparently issued a statement on the 11th that Rifqa should be returned to Ohio where officials there can protect her.

First "Islam Day" at Oklahoma City University

On September 10, 2009, Oklahoma City University held their first Islam Day, which was spearheaded by Mohamed Daadaoui, a professor there:

Islam Day at OCU falls in the midst of the holy month of Ramadan, which is celebrated this year from Aug. 22 to Sept. 21. Celebrated during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, 1.5 billion Muslims around the world fast from dawn until sunset each day. Political science professor and Middle East expert Mohamed Daadaoui organized a list of activities for students and faculty in order to foster cross-cultural dialogue and to spread awareness about the world’s second largest religion.

Muslims eager to make 9/11 a day of service

A Muslim member of President Obama's Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Dalia Mogahed, issued in a press release yesterday regarding the 9/11 Day of Service that was proclaimed by the president.  In this release Mogahed said,  "...After eight years of feeling under siege, Muslim Americans are now leading a movement to lift up others and serve their communities with reverence..."  

Here they, the left and their partners,  go again with the usual President Bush slam making him the undeniable enemy of Muslims and the U.S. when , in fact,  it was he who went out of his way to separate the religious ideology of Islamists and terrorists from Muslims who simply follow spiritual Islam.   It was Bush who also spent 8 years cleaning up the some of the terrorist network and funding mechanisms in the U.S.  Shame on Mogahed. Shame.

Back in 2002, President Bush issued a proclamation declaring Sept. 11 to be Patriot Day every year.  But President Obama apparently is trying to trump this dec;aration by declaring this a day of service even though we already have a national day of service on Martin Luther King Day, on the third Monday of January.  So is it still Patriot Day, too?  I'm so confused.

In any event, it appears there are Muslims eager to help turn the 9/11 anniversary into a day of service which they seem to want to own.  This service initiative, according to Mogahed was in the works all summer:

Muslim-Americans Answer the Call (MAAC) is taking part in the first official September 11 Day of Service and Remembrance, a day established by President Obama and Congress to honor the sacrifices of 9/11 heroes, and engage more Americans in serving their communities. Over the course of the summer of service, culminating on September 11, Muslim-American volunteer groups carried out more than 3,000 days of service in communities across the United States.  Muslims' enthusiastic response to the President's service initiative challenges popular assumptions -- and fears-- that Muslim Americans, a relatively devout religious community, are self isolating and indifferent to the needs of their fellow citizens.

..."Muslim Americans Answer the Call is the true embodiment of the President's call for change," said Dalia Mogahed. "Muslim-American volunteerism this summer demonstrates the community's desire to positively contribute to our country."

One slight problem, though,  on the Muslim website MuslimServe website they show 3003 service projects have been completed already but the link to "view all" does not work, at this time.  It would be so nice to see where these 3000+ community services took place.

Are you wondering if there is a comparable ChristianServe website?  Well, this google search turned up none.

Muslims plan massive Friday Prayer in Washington D.C.

Thousands upon thousands of Muslims are being organized for a massive Friday prayer at Capitol Hill on September 25, 2009 in what could be described as an outdoor mosque where their prayer will be chanted on "Capitol Hill, echoing off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, " according to a website set up specifically for this event.  They will pray near where U.S. presidents are traditionally inaugurated.  The motto of the website is "Our Time Has Come."

Muslims will be bused in from Oklahoma, and many other states. 

President Obama is the catalyst for the event according to one of the main organizers, Hassen Abdellah, president of Dar-ul-Islam in Elizabeth, New Jersey and an attorney for accused terrorists or terrorist enablers in court here, here and here. 

Another organizer, Abdul Malik, spoke to Muslims about martyrs which was captured on video in April 2002:

"...These brothers--and sisters-- before they go out on their martyr missions, are doing videotapes, and they are saying "Yeeeuuhh! I'm doing this! I'm doing this!" And their mothers are right next to them saying, "Go ahead and go!"

Their mothers--the mothers are telling their children--although of course they're gonna miss them--"But you do what you have to do." And just like that last sister, when she's standing with her son, and she's all proud of him, and they're doing the videotape, and the son is all proud, he's standing there, you know with his weapon, he's standing there, and she's standing there all next to him, and she's proud, and then he goes out, and he is martyred. And then she sees his body--she sees his body, and what does she do? She puts her forehead to the ground, thanking Allah, because he gave me a martyr!

A permit was granted to these organizers for the Friday Prayer.

Update 9/25/09 6:48 PM CT:  According to the Washington Post,  only about 3,000 Muslims attended the prayer - far short of what was predicted.

Muslims to gather in D.C. to pray for the soul of America

On September 25th, Muslims from across America will gather in Washington, D.C., near the capitol, to pray for the soul of America.

The event, headed by the Dar-ul-Islam mosque in Elizabeth, N.J., will not include political speeches or placards, just prayer, said Hassen Abdellah, president of Dar-ul-Islam and a main organizer of the Sept. 25 event.

''Most of the time, when Muslims go to Washington, D.C., they go there to protest some type of event," Abdellah said. "This is not a protest. Never has the Islamic community prayed on Capitol Hill for the soul of America. We're Americans. We need to change the face of Islam so people don't feel every Muslim believes America is 'the great Satan,' because we love America."

...Aly A. Aziz, president of the Islamic Society of Central Jersey, which is helping to organize the event, said that too many Americans automatically associate Islam with terrorism and that the event is a way to "expose Americans . . . to how the Muslims pray." Shakoor Mustafa, a Newark resident who attends a mosque in East Orange, N.J., said he has donated money to the event and hopes to go to Washington if his workload allows.

''It's historical," he said, adding that, in his opinion, the mere granting of permission to hold the event reflects a dramatic change in how many Americans view Muslims after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

While Aziz calls this event historic and shows a dramtic change, it contradicts the statement by Abdellah above, who said Muslims have gone to D.C. to protest before.  So this is confusing.

American jihadist identified; charges await him

An American Muslim who is a leader of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab terrorist group in Somalia has been identified as Omar Hammami who grew up in Alabama.  Hammami is now known as Abu Mansour al-Amriki or "The American".  This terrorist organization is fighting the secular government there with the goal to create an Islamic state:

"...During his later teenage years, Hammami attended Daphne High School and frequented the Islamic Society of Mobile, one of the most popular mosques in the Mobile area. It's unclear whether he was always a practicing Muslim, but a source told FOX News that he has family ties to Islam. A call to the mosque was not returned.

...His most recent message came out in July, a month after President Barack Obama promised "a new beginning" with the Muslim world during a speech in Cairo.

"Despite the fact that you have been ... forced [by Muslim fighters] to at least pretend to extend your hand in peace to the Muslims, we cannot and shall not extend our hands," al-Amriki said in an audiotape. "Rather, we shall extend to you our swords, until you leave our lands."

The United States and other countries have recently been assisting Somalia's government in its battle against al-Shabaab. Somalia has had no stable government since 1991, when dictator Siad Barre was ousted from power. A newer secular government has had trouble keeping Muslim militants at bay, and in 2006 fighting with al-Shabaab intensified after Western-backed Ethiopian forces invaded Somalia. U.S. officials say if al-Shabaab prevails, Somalia could turn into a haven for Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

...In October 2008, 27-year-old college student Shirwa Ahmed of Minneapolis became "the first known American suicide bomber" when he blew himself up in Somalia, killing dozens, according to the FBI. Since then at least four more men from Minneapolis have been killed in Somalia, according to their families

Noor Islamic Center in Columbus, Ohio may provide clues to Rifqa Bary's fear

Rifqa Bary is a 17 year old Christian.  She was born into a Muslim family but converted 4 years ago.  After alleging she received death threats from her father for her conversion, she ran away from her home in Ohio and her story made national headlines.  The father denies he made any threats to her and she remains in foster care in Florida.

On Monday, her attorney filed an affidavit about the mosque her family attended;  the Noor Islamic Center in Columbus, Ohio, and its leader, who was identified by the FBI as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.  Below are some highlights from the 35 page document (pdf file):

I. THE NOOR CENTER CEO AND THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD

The leader of the mosque, Dr. Hany Saqr, was previously an imam for another area mosque at the same time the largest known Al-Qaeda cell in the U.S. since 9/11 was operating out of the mosque. Additionally, Dr. Saqr was identified in exhibits submitted by the Department of Justice in a recent terrorism finance trial in Texas as being one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America – an international organization responsible for birthing virtually every Islamic terrorist organization in the world, including Al-Qaeda. One of his subordinates identified in those trial exhibits was identified in a FBI memorandum as providing $735,000 to Hamas while under Dr. Saqr’s direction.

II. THE NOOR CENTER SCHOLAR AND TERRORIST LEADERS

A former Islamic scholar associated with The Noor Center is Dr. Salah Sultan, a cleric that has been photographed with terrorist leaders designated as such by the U.S. government.

Dr. Sultan has recently appeared on television inciting violence against Jews, and he has previously appeared at events in support of designated terrorist organizations while an active part of the Noor Center community. Following his departure to Bahrain, unconfirmed reports indicate that his US citizenship application has been denied and that he has been banned from reentering the US.

III. THE NOOR CENTER AND EXTREMIST SPEAKERS

A number of extremist speakers have been featured at recent Noor Center events who are on record making statements in support of violence, terrorism and extremism.

Evidence also indicates that some of these speakers have been directly involved in fundraising and supporting the mosque since its inception. One regular speaker and fundraiser for the Noor Center was listed by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing trial.

IV THE NOOR CENTER TIED TO NATIONWIDE FBI TERROR INVESTIGATION

The Noor Center has also been directly tied to the ongoing nationwide investigation into Somali-American youths who have left the U.S. to train in terror camps operated by the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab terror organization.

CNN has identified Columbus as one of the main centers of the FBI’s investigation. This story was recently the subject of a lengthy front-page New York Times story..."

CAIR-CA launches youth activist program: flyer features Malcolm X

CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, launched a youth activist program through their California chapter. Pictured below on their flyer is Malcolm X.

Apparently, CAIR views this very controversial man who was anti-White and a Black supremacist, also known as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz as a hero or role model. For a number of years Malcom X ran the New York division of the Nation of Islam.  He was an ex-convict who was was introduced to the NOI in prison by his brother. One of the two women they interviewed for the article, Allison Moore, was a featured speaker for Tulsa Truthers twice in 2007!  You know, these are the people who think 9/11 was an inside job.  I believe she was introduced as a fellow Tulsa Truth member in the January video.  Towards the end of her talk someone questions her about the possibility that perhaps the planes may have been steered by remote control...  Moore replies; Yeah, -- the air force -- said it absolutely impossible -- to fly a plane at that -- angle -- into the Pentagon.

And let's not forget that the Islamic Society of Tulsa and CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, honored Tulsa Truth in August 2007!

On August 25th, 2007, the three founders of TulsaTruth were recognized at The Goodwill Appreciation Awards Dinner sponsored by the Islamic Society of Tulsa & CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations, Oklahoma Chapter). With approx. 200 people in attendance, Joe Picorale, John Fanning and Jim Robinson were honored along with 22 other distinguished honorees for their contribution in promoting peace, goodwill and a greater understanding of mainstream Muslim beliefs.

The Tulsa World interviewed only two women for this article, while all the photos shown in their nifty slide-show featured only men.  Apparently, men and women pray separately as do more fundamentalist Muslims such as in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam.

Court to rule on jurisdiction of Christian convert Rifqa Bary

A court hearing is underway in Tampa, Florida regarding 17 year-old Rifqa Bary, a Christian convert from Islam, who fears for her life.

WDBO is live blogging the hearing here.  Below is the latest:

This case is about jurisdiction, whether she can stay in the care of the Florida Department of Children and Families, or whether she has to be turned over to Ohio authorities.

..."Rifqa wants to be here," said one of her lawyers.

....update: A hearing is set for September 3rd at 2:30 p.m.  A dependency petition will be argued at that time.

update:  Rafqa is making her statement to the court. "I've been a christian for 4 years of my life. I love my parents but I am in fear of my life because of the past abuse. I assure your honor Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I am a Christian, a believer."

...Rifqa will spend some time with her younger brothers, but does not want to meet with her parents at this time.

update: Rifqa is staying in a foster home. Her foster parents are not willing to allow supervised visitation of Rifqa's family or friends right now. The judge is recommending DCF take charge of the issue and hold these meetings in an outside location where it can be videotaped. 

...The hearing ended at 4:07 p.m.

The judge has ruled jurisdiction is in Florida, for now.

Update 8/24/09:  Not surprisingly, Time Magazine, which is owned by Timer Warner who also owns CNN,  - both spinners of the leftist ideology, hints in an article titled, A Florida Culture-War Circus Over Rifqa Bary, that if Bary's story is false this "saga" could be the result of a Crusades-era belief brainwashing and that Rifqa left home after a "dispute", rather than fear for her life as Rifqa said herself. A Muslim writer, Mohammad Anwar, wasted no "time" in his piece Case of Rifqa Barry, another attempt to defame Islam to bolster his claim that Bary's case is an attempt to defame Islam and spread hate against the religion and there is no such thing as honor killing in Islam. 

Yet, in Pakistan today, it was reported a man killed his wife and two daughters over honor.  And on the 13th of August, the Vancouver Sun reported Honour killings' of girls and women on the rise in Canada: expert, including a quadruple killing there in June.

According, to several reports, Bary's parents attend the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Toledo, Ohio.  This mosque has been known for hosting some questionable speakers here and here

Update 9/4/09:  Judge in Rifa Bary case "willing to chance" mediation effort  WDBO Radio -  He further ordered them not to speak to the media about the case. The order does not apply to the principals, Rifqa or her parents back in Ohio.

The next hearing is scheduled for September 29.

Apostates are to be given three days to repent and return to Islam. If the apostate refuses, he or she will be killed immediately. Books on Islamic Sharia agree unanimously on this point. For instance, Muslim scriptures such as the Sahih Hadith by the prophet Mohammad 9:50 states: "No Umma [a member of the Muslim community] should be killed for killing a Kaffir [an infidel]. . . Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him."

2. It is obligatory for a Muslim caliph to ask the apostate to repent and return to Islam. If he does, his return to the fold is accepted; but if he refuses, he must be killed.

3. There is no indemnity for killing an apostate, nor is there any expiation required, since killing an apostate is tantamount to killing someone who deserves to die.

4. The testimony of apostates is not admissible in Sharia courts.

Lockerbie terrorist arrived in Libya to a hero's welcome

Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, who was convicted in the 1988 Lockerbie airliner bombing where 270 innocent people were killed, is pictured below as he left Scotland. 

First, I think it is important to note this was the single worst terrorist attack committed in or over Britain.  So it's hard to comprehend why he was let go after serving only 8 years of a LIFE sentence on compassionate grounds.  So, the question that begs to be asked is,  was there a political motive to release him?  Read on.

  

Upon arrival in Tripoli, Lybia, this terrorist received a hero's welcome.  He's probably the man in the suit with the cane (see video below).  The man in the white robe and gold vest is Gadhafi's son according to the NYT.  I believe that is the same the man cheering wildly as he helped al-Megrahi down the steps:

According to Al Jazeera,  his release might have been political motivated since Libya's president, Mommar Gadhafi,  is the new head of the African Union and Libyan diplomat, Ali Abussalam Treky, was elected in June to the presidency of the whole U.N. General Assembly!  Libya was designated a state sponsor of terror from 1979 to 2006 by the U.S..  My, how things change.

Is all this coming into sharper focus now?

Coincidentally, Switzerland's president was also in Tripoli today to apologize for arresting one of Gadafi's sons last year which was followed by Libya's refusal to ship oil to the country. 

Gadhafi, as I understand it, will make his first trip to the U.S. to speak at the U.N.  He will likely join Ahmadinejad and Chavez and speak ill of the West while on American soil in September.

God rest the souls of the innocent killed by the hands of a terrorist who hates the West. 

This is a sad moment in time.

Asian Law Caucus claims Muslims are being targeted advise not to talk to FBI!

An Asian Law Caucus staff attorney has informed the public they advise people NOT to talk to the FBI because if they were to lie or misrepresent themself, they could be in trouble.  Geez.   

Muslim Americans are being increasingly targeted for unwarranted house searches and questioning, said Veena Dubal, staff attorney of the Asian Law Caucus, during a brown-bag seminar at the organization’s headquarters here Aug. 5.

Last October — in the waning days of the Bush administration — FBI director Robert Mueller signed new guidelines allowing broader FBI authority in pursuing potential threats to national security. The new guidelines allow agents to consider race or ethnicity in determining whether someone is a suspect.

These guidelines – which became effective Dec. 1, 2008 — allow the FBI to launch a criminal investigation against someone without any factual predicate and without approval from FBI headquarters, said Dubal. “Under the current guidelines, FBI agents are allowed to racially profile an individual if it is determined to be in the nation’s national interests,” she said, adding that the guidelines may also be used ambiguously to “prevent conduct.”

“A really negative shift has occurred,” said Dubal, who received the Northern California South Asian Bar Association’s Public Interest Attorney of the Year award in 2009.

...Federal Criminal Code 1001 makes it a crime to lie to an FBI agent, and that code is now being used to recklessly incarcerate people, said Dubal. “We tell people its better not to talk to an FBI agent, because if you do and you misrepresent yourself, you could be subject to criminal penalty."

Georgia Muslim found guilty of aiding terrorists

A 23 year old Georgia man, Ehsanul Islam Sadequee, was found guilty today of aiding terrorists. 

After the verdict, his sister claimed the jurors didn't have the proper information about Muslims.  His family also claimed his 1st amendments rights were violated because he was just exploring the idea of jihad. 

Oh, ok then.

...A jury of nine men and three women found Sadequee guilty of conspiracy to provide support to terrorists and attempting to aid terrorists, particularly Lashkar-e-Tayyiba - a Pakistan-based terrorist organization.

...Sonali Sadequee, the defendant’s older sister, said she was “absolutely” disappointed in the verdict.

What’s the most frustrating is to see the post-9/11 climate. Even though Obama communicated there will be a shift, it hasn’t gone down to the general understanding of the community and social attitudes,” she said. “I think the jurors didn’t have full information [on Muslims].”

...He was found guilty of sending homemade videos of Washington landmarks to a recruiter for Al Qaeda and another terrorist – both who have been convicted in the United Kingdom.

Prosecutors say Sadequee also met with terrorists in Canada to discuss how to get into a terrorist training camp and tried to recruit others to the jihad cause, including a 17-year-old American.

Nahmias said the main threat was to Pakistan and northern Europe, but Sadequee’s conversations also included possible attacks on U.S. oil refineries. 

CAIR tries to muzzle anti-radical Islam conference in San Diego

CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, is trying to stop another anti-radical Islam conference in San Diego, California scheduled for August 15th.

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) says the August 15 presentation, "Radical Islam: Its Components and Root Causes," will be offered by a representative of Act! for America. A library news release claims the presenter will show that followers of "radical Islam" are a "small, vocal faction not to be con fused with the Islam practiced by more than one billion people world-wide."

"...No library would - or should - sponsor a lecture by an anti-Semitic, racist or neo-Nazi speaker," said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. "It is unconscionable that a representative of a group that promotes a similar form of bigotry would be so honored."

This is political Islam (Islamism) at work in America.

Christian convert teen fears for her life in America!

A 17 year-old teenager girl from Ohio fears for her life after converting to Christianity from Islam and her story is being told in a courtroom:

An Ohio runaway teenager, Christianity and the Muslim religion met head-on Monday during a custody dispute in an Orlando courtroom.

The girl, 17-year-old (Fathima) Rifqa Bary, recently converted from her family's faith to Christianity and she is worried about her family's reaction to her change in faith.

"She says her life is in danger and she could be killed in an honor killing," Rosa Gonzalez, the teen's lawyer, said after the hearing.  "Unfortunately it happens every day in the U.S." 

...After the girl arrived in Orlando, Lorenz said they called an abuse hotline and started calling lawyers, asking what they should do..." 

I don't believe honor killings happen every day in America but they have happened, unfortunately.  Earlier this year, Muzzammil Hassan beheaded his wife in a suburb of Buffalo, New York in what might have been an honor killing.  In July 2008, San- deela Kanwal was killed by her father.  On January 1st that same year Amina and Sarah Said of Texas were killed by their father.  In Canada earlier this month, there likely was a quadruple honor killing.

My God, I can't believe this is happening in America.  AMERICA!

Every person in this world should be able to choose their own religion free of reprisal and fear of their own father killing them. 

Bary had been missing for 3 weeks.  If her story is true, and I have no reason not to believe her, she should be commended for having the forethought to leave a dire situation.  You should watch the video linked below where she talked in a tearful way about her fear.  It's heartbreaking.

Florida ruled they will take her into protective custody for the time being.

The punishment for apostasy (riddah) from the religion of Islam is execution. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning)

by Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid, a prominent shiekh from Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam.  Let me repeat, the birthplace of Islam.

More here where he does say this punishment is not carried out on minors but since girls are married at a very young age one has to probably consider her not a minor.

Is this shiekh the final word on apostate?  Of course not, but it shows that as an Islamic scholar who issues Islamic rulings he does and this is not unusual for Islamic controlled countries.

Texan sentenced for aiding the Taliban

A former engineering technician and convicted Houston Taliban supporter, Kobie Diallo Williams, was sentenced to prison for aiding the terrorist organization:

A former local college student, Kobie Diallo Williams, (aka Abdul Kabir) told a Houston federal judge -- he has reflected on his support of the Taliban and he wants to apologize to his family, Muslims and the courts, promising a new focus when he is released.

Today, Senior U.S. District Judge Ewing Werlein sentenced Williams to four and a half years behind bars, most of which he already has served, and a $5,000 fine. Williams pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge in which he admitted to paramilitary training and donating money to the Taliban.

A former Rice University engineering technician who was enrolled at the University of Houston-Downtown in 2006 when he was charged, Williams, 36, said today that he will be more careful about choosing his friends, he will refocus himself on peaceful activities and he hopes to help Muslim youth who might be misguided like he was.

...Williams was charged with Pakistani-born then-Houston Community College student Adnan Mirza, who has pleaded not guilty to multiple gun, conspiracy and weapons charges is awaiting trial.

Homegrown jihadists in North Carolina on fed's radar for nearly three years

North Carolina terror suspect on tape: "Allah knows I love jihad."

A North Carolina terror suspect named Daniel Boyd might just be the first blond-haired home-grown jihadist in America.  In court today a tape was played and stunned listeners heard him say 'Allah knows I love jihad':

The seven men – Boyd and his sons, Dylan Boyd, 22, and Zakariya "Zak" Boyd, 20; Hysen Sherifi, 24; Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, 22; Ziyad Yaghi, 21; and Anes Subasic, 33 – were arrested and charged last week with plotting to murder, kidnap, maim and injure people overseas. An eighth suspect, Jude Kenan Mohammad, 20, of Wake County, is believed to be in Pakistan. Prosecutors have said they hope to have him in custody soon.

Prosecutors played scratchy recordings in court Tuesday of Daniel Boyd talking to family members and others about waging jihad on non-Muslims. He said he wanted to retake land in Algeria and collect "stolen wealth," according to the recordings. "Allah knows I love jihad," he is heard saying in one recording.

Kieran Shanahan, a former federal prosecutor who attended the hearing, called the recordings "chilling."

"It was a very chilling experience to hear their own voices talking about jihad," Shanahan told WRAL News."They are talking about doing violent jihad, not only abroad but here in the United States.
