New York school had students listen to Islamic Call to Prayer and engage in Muslim prayer ritual!

What?  A private school in New York recently had a Muslim religious day experience for all their students.  They call it  "Islamic Banquet Day".  Each child heard the Muslim Call to Prayer and participated in a Muslim prayer ritual during the school day. 

Why did this happen?

Do they also have a Christian Banquet Day where student attend a prayer in a chapel and listen to Christian music? 

If this was my child's school and they had to participate in any religious ceremony, no matter what religion, I would be livid.

Started four years ago by Debra McCall, the day is intended as a day of unification, understanding, and the breaking down of stereotypes. This dynamic experience is woven into every part the curriculum—from art to math, cuisine to cultural history.

Mark Tompkins, cultural history teacher and eighth-grade team leader, organized the event. “A Call to Prayer” offered students the opportunity to engage in the Muslim prayer ritual..."

Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation, designated a terrorist organization, had rights violated judge rules!

We are losing America slowly but surely to the kooks on the far left.  In a decision on Thursday in Oregon, U.S. Federal Judge Garr King ruled that a local Saudi Arabia Islamic charity, Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation, designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S. government, had its rights violated! 

The Saudis will be quite happy with this decision, no doubt.   Of course the judge was appointed by a democratic president, as I thought you might suspect.

My fear is we will start to see some unraveling of our terrorist laws under the liberal domination of our government. 

Time will tell and I hope to God I'm wrong.

U.S. Coalition to Stop Shariah Nov 6th news conference

A group has been formed to inform the public that the U.S. Treasury is possibly exploring Sharia financing by training some of its employees.  Now, to what extent the U.S. will become involved in this type of financing over time, I don't know.  But this is worrisome:

"Washington DC: The Coalition to Stop Shariah held a press conference at the National Press Club to oppose actions by the U.S. Treasury Department today to hold a course titled "Islamic Finance 101"to "train" government employees on Sharia-Compliant Finance (SCF).  The coalition, consisting of diverse groups with a shared interest in fighting Islamic supremacism, called for the U.S. Treasury Department to either cancel the training course this afternoon or to provide education on the full Islamic supremacist nature of Sharia.

...Frank Gaffney described the efforts to expand Sharia-Compliant Finance as a threat "aimed at the very heart of the American economy..."

The Muslim Brotherhood in America in the late 1800s?

I found an interesting article at Elder of Ziyon about an Islamic convert who set about converting Americans to Islam back in the late 1800s!  Several archived news articles helped tell the story of this Muslim's quest.  Imagine my surprise to read that back then the word Islamism was used! 

Today, the Muslim Brotherhood's infiltration into our country is far greater and their supporters are busy trying to stop any public official from using words that describe the Islamist's march forward.  You know words like Islamism, Jihadist, Islamists and so on.

The organization was the brainchild of what most consider to be the first American to convert to Islam, named (Mohammed) Alexander Russell Webb.

Webb converted to Islam while he worked in the US Consulate in the Philippines. He then went to India on a fundraising mission to spread the faith to America: (Washington Post, December 21, 1892)

He arrived in New York City in February of 1893, enthusiastic and full of major plans, and quite willing to use the New York Times (Feb. 25, 1893) as his means of spreading Islam in America.

Hamas-linked Nihad Awad and CAIR offer to help Barack Obama's administraiton

Islamists are chopping at the bit to get in with Barack Obama.  CAIR, an organization that grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood Hamas infrastructure in America, congratulated President-elect Barak H. Obama today.

Nihad Awad, the executive director plans to offer Obama's administration advice and support, he said.

Last year, Awad was identified by the FBI during the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial as a person who attended a meeting for Hamas in America that was recorded by them.

Responding to "Proud Muslim" again

For a few weeks now, I've been having an online "conversation" with a Tulsa Muslim with the online name of Proud Muslim.  I decided to put all this on a webpage so you can follow along if you like from the beginning of these comments here which I will update when new comments are made.  Below is a recent comment I made:

zTruth:  Quoting from Proud Muslim:  "Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing..."

Proud Muslim:  If someone attacked what I stood for, I would risk my life to protect it. That's what we did in the Revolutionary War. That's what we did in the Civil War. That's what we did in the Civil Rights Movement. That's what we did in World War I. That's what we did in World War II. Maybe you find our nation's history worrying and extreme. I don't.

zTruth:  Proud Muslim, it appears you would take the law into your own hands to defend Islam, if you felt it necessary.  You also compared your right to do so to the wars America has fought and other struggles where no religious doctrine was involved. Your apples to oranges comparison is way out there.

There is no correlation between religion and violence you said.   Did we not just review one part of the Quran that contradicts this?  Did you not say If someone attacked what you stood for, you would risk your life to protect it?  In this context, you were talking about fighting and protecting Islam.

The two Muslim Brotherhood leaders whom the Islamic Society of Tulsa has presented to Oklahomans as religious authorities have both affirmed their belief in martyrdom against Israel.

Yusef Qaradawi has endorsed Palestinian suicide bombings for twenty years. These attacks have also been sanctioned by numerous Islamic clerics.

Question: I would like to ask about the ruling of Palestinian women carrying out martyr operations.

Dr. Qaradawi answers:The martyr operation is the greatest of all sorts of jihad in the cause of Allah.  A martyr operation is carried out by a person who sacrifices himself, deeming his life [of] less value than striving in the cause of Allah, in the cause of restoring the land and preserving the dignity. To such a valorous attitude applies the following Qur'anic verse: "And of mankind is he who would sell himself, seeking the pleasure of Allah; and Allah hath compassion on (His) bondmen." (Qur'an, 2: 207)

Jamal Badawi:  First, the intent behind that sacrifice (martyrdom) is exclusively for the sake of pleasing God and supporting His cause.  Recently,  Badawi was quoted in the paper saying what is wrong with fighting to establish justice in Islam?

Proud Muslim, you claim no knowledge about Yusef Qaradawi or Jamal Badawi yet reads the Quran only in Arabic.  Odd.

Your new Imam, Mohamed ElGhobashy, hails from Al-Azhar University.  Shaikh Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, the Shaikh of Al-Azhar, the highest ranking religious official in Egypt, also called for Jihad against Israel ‘in defence of the holy places, the liberation of the occupied land, and the repulsion of the enemy.’  

Yet, Imam ElGhobashy said in a recent interview in the Tulsa World, "We should show this beautiful religion of mercy and peace to others," and then blamed the American media as the cause of misunderstanding about Muslims for labeling them terrorists!    Of course, not ALL Muslims are terrorists but he wants us to think there are no Muslim terrorists.

Here is the quote from ElGhobashy:

"...On the down side, he said, in recent years, the American media has propagated misunderstandings about Muslims, labeling them as terrorists.

"It makes me sad that Islam is presented as a religion of terror," he said, citing a verse from the Quran that Islam is to be a religion of peace and mercy for all humanity, including non-Muslims..."

You said there is no correlations between violence and religion?  Proud Muslim, I'm afraid there is with Islam and many of your religion's Islamic authorities approve of it.  They call it justice.  In the name of Islam, they take the law into their own hands.

Americans, particularly public officials, are being shamed to dare even link Islam to terrorism or call it what it is.  Yet many just quote your own religious authorities.

And on the new "Islam in Oklahoma" web-page by the Islamic Society of Tulsa and the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City they wrote on their "War and fighting in Islam" section under  (3 bullet) that its meaning includes "fighting" to establish justice which is a supreme goal in Islam.  Missing from this page is any statement that the laws within our country negate ANY jihadist goals of Islam.

Islam does have a written creed for war and fighting and it is in the Quran.  

Proud Muslim also lamented that women are now separated from the men when they pray at the mosque at the Islamic Society of Tulsa.  This is because a strict version of Sunni Islam is being practiced there.  They call it authentic Islam which is probably a strict interpretation of the Quran.  

IST's deed is held by the North American Islamic Trust, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land terror funding trial.  Your mosque is permanently affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America, also named an unindicted co-conspirator.  This organization was specifically named in a Muslim Brotherhood document as one of their organizations set up in America.

And finally, the person they selected to speak for them as their Quranic expert this year was named by the FBI as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood's board of directors for their North American operations.  Jamal Badawi is also an unindicted co-conspirator.

Yet, Proud Muslim calls me narrow-minded.

Update:

Proud Muslim later clarified his/her statement about risking his/her life to the death.

"You seem to have misunderstood my comparison. In the Civil War, we fought to preserve the Union and end slavery. Why? Because that is what America stood for.
If you attacked my right to worship God, I would defend it with protests, marches, etc."

Proud Tulsa Muslim: "Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing..."

I've been having a conversation with a Tulsa Muslim in the comment section of the Tulsa World after an article was written about their new Imam.

Proud Muslim sees me as narrow-minded for linking Islam with terrorism.  Yet Proud Muslim said in a recent comment:

"Islam is the only true religion. You may not believe it, but I do. Do you not believe your religion is the only true one?

Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing, but today, there is no Islamic caliphate that needs to be defended, so it is irrelevant.

"Islamic pirates" is an oxymoron. Pirates steal goods and kill without reason, both of which is denounced in the Quran.

 

Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing.  Then Proud Muslim claims since there is no caliphate today martyrdom is not an issue.

 

I beg to differ based on fact.  The Islamic Society of Tulsa has presented to Oklahomans two Muslim Brotherhood leaders who have approved of martrydom, Yusef Qaradawi and Jamal Badawi.

 

The last comment Proud Muslim made about pirates has to do with our founding fathers who struggled for four decades fighting against Islamic aggression.  Yet Proud Muslim claims its an oxymoron. 

 

Here's a little bit of history:

 

"In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.

The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease.

During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."

Every American should read Victory at Tripoli which is an account of this struggle against Islamic aggression based on Congressional records and other documents.  It took the author three years to complete his research.  Read Lessons for the War on Terror, which is an overview of the book, if you get a chance.

Muslim college student who claimed she was attacked arrested for lying

A Muslim college student who claimed she was victim of a hate crime has been arrested for lying. The college was put in lock-down after her allegations.  CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, jumped all over her allegations of being a Muslim victim of hate.

"A Muslim student who claimed she was attacked in the bathroom at Elmhurst College last week surrendered to police on Friday. Investigators say the attack did not happen.

The incident was being investigated as a hate crime after police found threatening graffiti written on a mirror in the bathroom. News of the incident led to a campus lockdown and a rally by students in support the woman.

Now, she is charged with filing a false report.

Safia Jilani, 19, was interviewed by Elmhurst Police on multiple occasions. A source tells ABC7 Chicago that during the course of questioning, she admitted to authorities that she made up the story that she was attacked."

On the Muslim Brotherhood English website today there's an article about Islamophobia.  It identifies the top 12 U.S. Islamophobics!

Did the Muslim Brotherhood write this article? No way.  It came from a 24 page report by FAIR (Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting) located right here in the United States! 

Of course, nobody should speak hateful of another.  There's enough evidence of the large Islamist infiltration in America that can be discussed without uttering one hateful word.  

It should be noted that some Islamist groups, like CAIR, are going after public officials asking they stop using the descriptive words that describes the Islamist march forward.  You know, words like Islamic terror and Islamists.

FAIR is, no doubt, an organization lead by Islamists or left-leaning folks.   Jeff Cohen is the founder of FAIR and has worked for MSNBC, CNN and other media outlets until he was canned.  He was also an attorney for the ACLU.  Currently, he is involved with Park Center for Independent Media at Ithaca College in New York.

Muslim Brotherhood leader Yusef Qaradawi: The Western system has collapsed!

Yusef Qaradawi, the Qatar-based Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader has declared the collapse of the western capitalist system! 

Remember, the Muslim Brotherhood has set up a number of organizations in America that try to pass themselves off as moderate Muslim groups. And a number of Islamic societies in America are only one or two degrees away from this Islamist organization which drew up plans to destroy our country in the 90s which were revealed to the public last year by the FBI.

At the conference for Palestinians, which he chairs,  Qaradawi, a U.S. designated terror-supporter,  has some advice for Muslims:

Muslims should take advantage of the global financial crisis to build an economic system compatible with Islamic principles, influential Sunni cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi said on Sunday.

"The collapse of the capitalist system based on usury and paper and not on goods traded on the market is proof that it is in crisis and shows that Islamic economic philosophy is holding up," said the Egyptian-born, Qatar-based cleric.

"The Western system has collapsed and we have a complete economic philosophy as well as spiritual strength," he said at Sunday's opening of a conference on Jerusalem.

"All riches are ours... the Islamic nation has all or nearly all the oil and we have an economic philosophy that no one else has," Qaradawi said.

He urged Muslims to "profit from the crisis to bring about the triumph of the (Islamic) nation, which holds the spiritual and material resources for victory."

Participants include Khaled Meshaal, exiled head of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, and Ali Akbar Velayati, a top adviser to Iranian spiritual leader Ali Khamenei.

Mohammed Ali Khan is the national director of the American Muslim Council (AMC) whose national office is located in Chicago.  In an article in the Tampa Bay today, he and others were interviewed about how slighted Muslims feel they have been treated. 

A quick background check on this council shows AMC's founder and long-time chief, Abdurahman Alamoudi, is serving serious prison time after being sentenced in 2003 for terror-supporting offenses.  Not only that,  Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin (the former H. Rap Brown), a one-time president of AMC’s Executive Board, is serving a life sentence without parole for murdering a policeman.  Brown converted to Islam while serving a 5 year prison term on another offense.  This organization has a seriously worrisome history you should review. 

In a 2002 Fox News report, "AMC also declares itself to be an "active member" of the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom. A number of those affiliated with this coalition have engaged in terrorist bombings and other acts of terror in this country (e.g., the Puerto Rican FALN and Macheteros, the Black Liberation Movement and Weather Underground) or abroad (e.g., in Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Pakistan and Sudan)."

On terror-suppporter Yusef Qaradawi's Qatar-based Islamonline there is an 2002 article about Kahn's claim he was racially profiled at an Nevada Airport.  Back then he claimed American Muslims were suffering.

The Tampa Bay article failed to give any context to its readers about Kahn and his organization so on the surface it all seemed to be the normal run-of-the mill article about how marginalized some Muslim leaders portray Muslims. Generally, I have found it's the Islamist organizations that do this and the media fails miserably to connect the dots or do their homework.

Near the end of the article, Khan said he use to hold fund-raisers for Barack Obama when he was a state senator!

Khan, the national Muslim advocate, says Muslims who believe Obama shares their religious beliefs are engaging in wishful thinking.

..."At the end of seeing so much discrimination in this country, (they) are hoping they can find somebody who can be sympathetic towards Muslims," Khan said. "But they're living in a delusional world."

Khan said he has known Obama since his days as a state senator. Back then, Obama was accessible, attending various events in the Chicago area, Khan said.

He recalls holding fund-raisers for Obama long before handlers guided his footsteps.

Although the advocate understands the current political climate, he said the candidates for president ignore Muslims at their own peril. There are millions of Muslims in the United States, and they vote. If politicians reach out, Muslims will reach back..."

OMG.  It's clear to me this Fisher Price doll says "Islam is the light".  Mattel can deny it all they want, which is troubling in and of itself:

Earlier today I found an investigative report on Barack Obama's new Muslim outreach director who attended what appears to be a secret meeting with extremely controversial Muslim leaders, which I wrote about here. 

Below is a video of Fox News coverage about the meeting.  CNN has not reported, at all, on this that I've seen.  And believe me, I wouldn't even be watching CNN except its one of two or three left-leaning cable news channels only offered by Dish Network in the package my friend has whom I'm house sitting for this week.  You have to pay more for Fox News!

In fact Dish Network has its own channel on Barack Obama - channel 73 here in Oklahoma.

Oh, but I digressed from the point of this post.  Below is the video about the meeting between Barack Obama's Mulsim outreach director and Muslim leaders some are upset took place.  Obama's campaign said it was bad judgement.

A meeting that could be described as "secret" took place in mid-September which is just now coming to light in an investigative article by Jim Popkin, NBC News Senior Investigative Producer, that ought to get the attention of every sane American.  At this meeting, Barack Obama's new Muslim outreach director, Minha Husaini,  met with top leaders of American Islamic organizations that are the direct outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America!

Have you noticed repeated disturbing associations that surround Barack Obama, such as William Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Kahlid Al-Mansour, Raila Odinga of Kenya, his first selection for a Muslim outreach director, Mazen Asbahi, Tony Rezo who was convicted of corruption and former PLO spokesman Rashid Khalidi.  There's a definite pattern here! 

Asbahi, who resigned after only a few days on the job because of questionable Islamist associations, was also at this meeting but refused to comment about it when questioned by NBC!  Nor would the Obama campaign allow Minha Husaini to be interviewed by NBC!

I don't, in the least, buy the Obama's campaign response that it was just a misjudgment.  That's one of the oldest tricks in the book - blame it on "I didn't know" or it was (just) an "error in judgment", after the fact.  Come on, America, you are much too smart to buy into their bull.

Think about it, what other presidential candidate in U.S. history has our enemies generally wanting him to become president who went to Europe and apologized for America when he said in his Berlin speech, "I know my country has not perfected itself. At times, we’ve struggled to keep the promise of liberty and equality for all of our people. We’ve made our share of mistakes, and there are times when our actions around the world have not lived up to our best intentions".

Now from the NBC report:

"...The Obama campaign’s Muslim outreach director participated in a meeting in mid September that was attended by several controversial Muslim activists, NBC News has learned. The Obama campaign now concedes that was a misjudgment, and that its top Muslim staffer would not have attended the meeting if she had known the full participant list beforehand.

On September 15, newly named Muslim outreach director Minha Husaini spoke to a small group of Muslim leaders ...

...The meeting was not advertised and some attendees got text phone messages notifying them that day of the meeting’s location, the participant said.

One meeting attendee was Mahdi Bray of the Muslim American Society, several of the participants said. The MAS website describes Bray as an imam and “long time civil and human rights activist.” Bray’s critics say he has a history of defending terrorists. They point to a video of Bray at a rally in 2000, for example, in which he can be seen pumping his fist in the air in support of the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah. In a 2004 interview, he called the Israeli assassination of a Hamas spiritual leader an “unlawful, cowardly and dangerous act of state-sponsored terrorism.” Bray did not return a call requesting comment. 

Also attending the meeting was Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations...(A spokesman for said) CAIR has consistently condemned “every act of terrorism” by groups including Hamas and Hezbollah. But he would not answer whether CAIR condemns those designated terrorist groups themselves. “I’ve already answered your questions,” he said, and abruptly ended the interview. Nihad Awad, the executive director, did not return a call seeking comment.

Fox "24" executive producer caves to CAIR!

I can't believe this but Howard Gordon, the executive producer of Fox TV's "24", has asked the website which features the anti-Islamic terrorist film "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West", to remove his name as a endorser of the documentary.  Gordon, apparently, has even allowed CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, to release his statement!

CAIR characterized the film, in their press release, as "anti-Muslim" which is a false statement.  The film often uses the words and actions of Islamic terrorists.  It clearly separates the religion of Islam from political and violent Islam whose global reach is unprecedented in history!  Throughout their press release, CAIR also conveniently leaves off the full title of the film, you know, the descriptive part that says "Radical Islam's War Against the West".

CAIR's efforts against this documentary goes hand-in-hand with their ongoing campaign to discourage the use of words like Islamic terrorist or Islamism by any public official in America.  My God, are you paying attention here? 

Isn't this how Islamic countries manage their citizens where all they can say about Islam is "peace"? 

Shame on Fox TV's Howard Gordon:

The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) released a statement by Gordon in which he said:

"After being contacted by a number of people whose opinions I respect and after reviewing Obsession with their criticisms and concerns in mind, I have asked the film makers to remove my endorsement from the Obsession website and from any future promotional materials. While I remain committed to the film's essential message - that the hate-mongering promoted by radical Islamism presents a real threat to western values of tolerance and pluralism - I also appreciate that the goal of co-existence and tolerance is not being served by films like Obsession."

CAIR welcomed Gordon’s statement and noted that others are withdrawing their support for the film that many commentators have called anti-Muslim “propaganda.”

“We commend Mr. Gordon for recognizing the harm caused to our society by intentionally inflammatory and divisive films such as ‘Obsession,’” said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. “As public outrage grows over this hate-filled production, people of conscience are spontaneously withdrawing their support.”

CAIR turns to the FEC and IRS to punish those who distributed anti-terrorist film

The Council of American Islamic Relations, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, has now asked the IRS to review the tax exempt status of the Clarion Fund which distributed millions of DVDs of the anti-terrorist documentary "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West".  This is a film that actually uses the words and actions of terrorists to help document the threat we face from these groups and individuals around the world.  CAIR somehow has a problem with this film's anti-Islamic terror agenda.

Earlier, CAIR filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission over the distribution of the DVDs.

This is how Islamists in America are using our government to advance their cause by crying foul at every opportunity they may feel slighted.  Americans should be asking themselves why CAIR would have a problem with an anti-terrorist documentary.

Why any Islamic society in the U.S. would partner with CAIR is beyond me. Their background and agenda appears so in sync with the Muslim Brotherhood. 

CAIR even has one known Muslim Brotherhood leader on their board, Jamal Badawi. 

CAIR asked the IRS, if evidence of wrongdoing is uncovered, to consider stripping the Clarion Fund of its tax-exempt status, tax funds it spent on prohibited activities and impose an injunction on further political expenditures.

 

"A non-profit group's tax-exempt status should not be misused to promote political candidates or to influence the outcome of an election," said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad.

Six Flag Magic Mt. workers asked cover-up for Muslim event this Saturday!

A controversial Muslim organization, the Islamic Circle of North America, rooted in the Muslim Brotherhood infrastructure in America, will hold a Muslim day event at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California this Saturday.  They apparently have requested Six Flags management ask their non-Muslim workers to cover up to show respect to them. 

No company should request their employees dress in a certain way in order to show respect to any religion.  This is exactly how Islamism starts with one memo, one request and one law at a time.  Shameful:

The Islamic Circle of North America requested the day as a celebration for end of Ramadan. Muslim Family Day comes just five days after the end of Ramadan, a Muslim religious observance in which participating Muslims fast from dawn until sunset.

"Out of respect, we request the employees wear their uniform pants, instead of their shorts," (Park Spokesperson Sue) Carpenter said. "It is only a request, it is not mandatory."

There is a difference between spirtual Islam and Islamism

CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, is on a mission to bully public officials to end their use of descriptive words which accurately describes the Islamist march forward.  Words like Islamists, Islamism, Islamic terrorism, islamofacist, and so on are big no nos with this Islamist organization. 

CAIR fails to make the distinction between religious Islam and Islamism.  One is the simple practice of a non-political religion the other is the political structure and rules for Islamic supremacy wrapped into Islam.  The components for each are in the Quran.  Making this distinction is critical to understanding Islamism but, of course,  CAIR only seeks to blend the two together so any criticism about Islamism can then be called an insult to Islam, itself.

Their latest victim is Congressman Ed Royce (R-Fullerton) of California:

... In his June and July newsletters, Royce says, "Given the threat from Islamist terrorism facing our country, we need to be acting urgently to protect the United States every day."

The term "Islamist terrorism" also makes an appearance in "e-newsletters" from Royce titled "Victory for U.S. Intelligence," dated July 15, and "How to Close the Terrorist Loophole," on June 24, as well as on Royce’s website.

A letter, initiated by the Council on American-Islamic Relations and signed by various interfaith leaders, was sent to Royce’s Fullerton office in early August urging him to use alternative terminology such as "violent extremists" when discussing the War on Terrorism, in order to prevent polarization of one specific religious group.   CAIR

CAIR, cleverly has gotten other, generally, liberal religious organizations to join in with their efforts.  

Even the Department of Homeland Security has been advised by a Muslim input group not use these words!

This is dangerous for America.

Dispute over what language you can speak at Macy resolved. Foreign language wins!

Here we go.  Macy has said, according to CAIR, that employees can speak any language they want with each other:

A local Macy's department store has resolved complaints of discrimination brought by Muslim employees who said they were told they must speak English at work or risk being fired.

The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relation announced the development Monday.

CAIR-MN said Macy's has met with employees. Macy's explained that employees can speak any language they chose with each other, but requested they speak a common language when communicating with managers and supervisors.

How absolutely wonderful for America.  I'm upset my grandfather didn't have an equivalent of CAIR around the turn of the century for Norwegians or Lutherans from Norway so I could speak Norwegian to my co-workers when I wanted to bad-mouth my boss or talk about someone else.

Mennonite Central Committee urged Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to allow religious diversity

Last night there was a dinner for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sponsored by American Friends Service Committee, Mennonite Central Committee, Quaker United Nations Office, Religions for Peace and World Council of Churches in consultation with the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations. 

This dinner has been soundly criticized by many.  But I thought it was interesting to note what took place at the dinner according to the Mennonite Central Committee:

Arli Klassen, executive director of Mennonite Central Committee, -- lit an oil lamp as a symbol of faith -- to reflect on peacemaking from their own faith perspectives.  "As a Christian, I believe that we are following Jesus Christ's example and his teaching as we eat together and hold this dialogue despite our many differences," Klassen said.

...Klassen raised concerns about his statements on the Holocaust and Israel, Iran's nuclear program and religious freedom in Iran.

"We ask you to find a way within your own country to allow for religious diversity, and to allow people to make their own choices as to which religion they will follow,"Klassen said.

Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb, a leader in the Jewish Renewal movement, spoke -- her work for reconciliation between Muslims and Jews and Palestinians and Israelis. She also spoke --  of mourning the deaths of all victims of war, including the millions of people killed in the Holocaust, World War II and wars in Iran and Iraq.

"Because of the Holocaust, I learned from the rabbis who ordained and guide me, to be active in preventing further suffering of all human beings as a primary religious call to action," Gottlieb said.

Dr. John Brademas, a former U.S. congressman and president emeritus of New York University, served as the event moderator. Along with several of the evening's speakers, Brademas called for direct negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Yet, despite all their efforts at dialogue, Ahmadinejad never address any of their issues directly and left before answering any questions after speaking at some length about Islam.

"All divine prophets have spoken of one truth," Ahmadinejad said. "The religion of Islam is the same as that offered by Moses."

So much for dialogue with an enemy of America and Israel.
