CAIR Oklahoma 2013 banquet keynote speaker is controversial Imam Johari Abdul-Malik!

On April 13th, CAIR Oklahoma will host their annual fund-raising banquet at the Oklahoma City Marriott (@OKCMarriott).

Recently, CAIR announceed the keynote speaker will be Imam Johari Abdul-Malik (right).  And, what a controversial imam he is!  Malik showed a glimmer of what is likely his Islamic supremacist ideology in 2004 at Dar al Hijrah, a controversial mosque located in Falls Church, VA., where he is the outreach director.  Malik proclaimed Islam in the USA will be America's first religion!

Abdul Malik:People even under the pressures that you and I know about, the deen of Islam is growing because people see even within all of this struggle it is better to be a Muslim under these conditions than to be a kaffir under any conditions... before Allah closes our eyes for the last time you will see Islam move from being the second largest religion in America-that's where we are now- to being the first religion in America

Imam Johari al-Malik worked with Anwar Awlaki who was an Imam at Dar al Hirhrah in 2001-2002.  Malik defended him many times here.  In 2011, Malik blamed an unsubstantiated torture claim as the reason Awlaki changed into a more radical Muslim.  However, the Investigative Project disputes how moderate Awlaki was while in America (see previous link).  Afterall, he did catch the attention of law enforcement before he left the U.S., right?  

Malik was reported to have said at a Muslim Brotherhood linked Islamic Association of Palestine meeting in 2001 (ref: previous link): 

I am gonna teach you now. You can blow up bridges, but you cannot kill people who are innocent on their way to work. You can blow up power supplies… the water supply, you can do all forms of sabotage and let the world know that we are doing it like this because they have a respect for the lives of innocent people.

There's that phrase "innocent people" again. Who decides who's guilty in Islam and therefore not innocent, anyway?  So far, I can't find the answer.

A FOIA document obtained by IPT says this about the Dar al Hirhrah mosque:

The Department of Treasury's Enforcement Communications System (TECS) records note that Dar al-Hijrah "is a mosque operating as a front for Hamas operatives in U.S.," "is associated with Islamic extremists," "has been under numerous investigations for financing and proving aid and comfort to bad orgs and members," has "been linked to numerous individuals linked to terrorism financing," and "has also been associated with encouraging fraudulent marriages."

Earlier this year, the primary Imam at Dar al Hirjrah, Sheik Shaker Elsayed, spoke about Muslim men - being the first in the Jihad line!  Watch and listen to his disturbing words here.

And for some odd reason, Malik wants youto know he is not a pacifist Muslim when he wrote on his blog:

Let me say from the outset that I’m not a pacifist; the Quranic injunctions provide the right to self-defense. 2:178 retaliation has been prescribed …“O you who believe! Retaliation is prescribed for you in the matter of the slain, the free for the free, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female, but if any remission is made to any one by his (aggrieved) brother, then prosecution (for the bloodwit) should be made according to usage, and payment should be made to him in a good manner; this is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy; so whoever exceeds the limit after this he shall have a painful chastisement.”2:216 (link added) (Z: fighting has been prescribed for you and) you dislike it …“ The life of this world is made to seem fair to those who disbelieve, and they mock those who believe, and those who guard (against evil) shall be above them on the day of resurrection; and Allah gives means of subsistence to whom he pleases without measure.”

Say what?  Retaliation and fighting has been prescribed for you?  Wow!

Way to go CAIR Oklahoma.

Islamic Society of Tulsa to non-Muslim teenage girl visitors: cover your head, wear long skirts, enter mosque separately from the boys!

The Islamic Society of Tulsa operates the Masjid Al-Salam Mosque,  For the upcoming annual interfaith youth tour the mosque has advised the young girls who may attend:

** Your cooperation is requested in dressing modestly at the Masjid Al-Salam Mosque.
Women are requested to wear long skirts or loose slacks and a head covering such as a hat or headscarf. Men and women will enter separately and be seated on the floor.

City of Tulsa alleges in legal brief Captain Paul Fields and counsel have anti-Islamic agenda!

The City of Tulsa filed a legal brief in April that answered the amended lawsuit by Captain Paul Fields wherein the city alleged, in writing, Fields and his counsel have an anti-Islamic agenda!  OMG - these are the key buzz words of those on the far-left! Tulsa police captains were ordered to send officers to an event at the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) in early March after few, if any, officers volunteered to go.  Fields refused the order.

Captain Paul Fields began a two-week unpaid suspension this week for refusing to order his officers to a mosque event at the Islamic Society of Tulsa billed as "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day" although the intent of invitation could be argued was really about teaching the officers about Islam.  Today, I noticed IST use pictures of that day to help call attention to their Facebook page although it looks like it was rather sparsely attended:

Thomas More Law Center joins counsel for Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields, amends complaint!

The Thomas More Law Center, a Michigan-based. not-for-profit public interest law firm that defends the religious freedom of Christians, has joined the legal counsel in a civil rights lawsuit filed by Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields against the Tulsa Police Department after he was "stripped of his command" and reassigned duties after refusing to order his officers to attend an event at the Islamic Society of Tulsa which Fields believed fell outside of police community duties:

Five short days after the Islamic Society of Tulsa hosted a dinner featuring alleged unindicted co-conspirator in the '93 WTC bombing Imam Siraj Wahhaj, members of the Tulsa Police Department attended a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day where they learned more about Islam according to a news video by Channel 2.   The local media proclaimed the day was a big success and most forgot to mention that Tulsa police captains were ordered to order some of their officers to attend the event after very few voluntary RSVPs were received.  One police captain refused to order his officers and filed suit which made quite a bit of headlines in the state in February.  Being ordered to attend an event designed primarily to teach others about Islam is worrisome.

The Islamic Society of Tulsa hosted a dinner last Sunday night at their mosque which featured Imam Siraj Wahhaj who was there to promote and/or raise money for ICNA Relief USA.  In 1993, Wahhaj was named an alleged unindicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing.  ICNA Relief USA parent is the Islamic Circle of North America which is listed in a Muslim Brotherhood document that set forth their plans to destroy America's democracy  so Islamic supremacy can rein supreme (see document link below).

Tulsa Police captain Paul Fields refused to order officers to attend mosque event reassigned!

The Islamic Society of Tulsa invited the Tulsa Police Department to a "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day" event at their mosque that was scheduled, probably deliberately, to be on Friday, the day for Muslims main weekly prayer like Sunday is for Christians. The officers were invited to watch the 45 minute prayer service and/or tour the mosque and/or listen to presentations on their Islamic beliefs upon requested or ask questions about Islam or they could just come and eat the food.  I'm not really seeing the appreciation here as much as I'm seeing outright proselytizing under the banner of appreciation.  Police officers shouldn't be ordered to attend an event centered around religious proselytizing but that is what appears to have happened in Tulsa.

After police officers were asked to go on a voluntary basis and not enough signed up it then became mandatory in a memo sent out by Deputy Chief Daryl Webster.  The memo dated February 17th ordering the police captains to have officers at the mosque is titled "TOUR OF MOSQUE - MARCH 4th"and the email from Sheryl Siddiqui/Islamic Society of Tulsa, which was attached said to let her know how many were coming so she could have enough food and TOUR GUIDES!  Nothing was written whatsoever about any plans specifically for appreciation of the officers, which seems odd!  Nothing. 

Captain Paul Fields felt it was illegal to order his officers to go and he believed it violated his civil rights and personal religious convictions, according to a story (with supporting documents) obtained by Channel 6 in Tulsa.  His memo to Webster obtained by Channel 6 is worth reading.  It states past invitations to like events were voluntary and the invitation to tour the mosque or to watch the prayer and/or learn of their religious believes was not part of the duties of a police officer.  He felt being forced to enter a mosque outside of an official police call was a violation of his rights.

Webster wrote back to Captain Fields that in the past Catholic clergy invited officers to participate in services and attendance was always voluntary. He said the Islamic Society of Tulsa event was a secular law enforcement function that just so happens to take place in a venue associated with a religious belief. How Webster determined the secular part is beyond me since the invitation, although come and go, specifically asked the officers to watch the Friday Islamic prayer service, take a mosque tour, listen to a presentation on their Islamic believes and ask questions about Islam.

Webster wrote if Capt. Fields refusal became public their department would be subject to disrepute.

On Monday, Captain Fields was temporarily reassigned to another station by Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan.

I don't think an officer should be ORDERED to attend any event at a religious place of worship! It should always be optional. But, this particular invitation could be considered all the more controversial for the following reasons, as well:

The Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) has or had rather close associations with organizations and/or individuals who were named unindicted co-conspirators in the largest Hamas terror-funding case in U.S. history (U.S. vs. HLF Case 3:04-cr-00240 Document 656-2) like CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America (IST constitutionally tied to them), North American Islamic Trust, Jamal Badawi (Muslim Brotherhood leader who represented them in a debate) and a top Muslim Brotherhood leader in Kuwait today, Tariq al Suwaidan, who gave them the money to buy a mosque.

CAIR uses on-going activism to work against the FBI and other law-enforcement agencies! The FBI cut ties with them because they have refused to answer questions regarding their leaders ties to Hamas. Sheryl Siddiqui is CAIR's secretary for the Oklahoma chapter and one of the main spokespeople for the Islamic Society of Tulsa.

The Islamic Society of North America was specifically named an organization the Muslim Brotherhood set up in America to help them destroy our democracy for Islamic supremacy. CAIR was named in a Muslim Brotherhood's Palestine Committee document along with the Holy Land Foundation. We are known and also judged by the company and associations we keep and theirs are very troubling.

Islamic Council of Oklahoma thanks Muneer Awad and CAIR Oklahoma!

The fairly new Islamic Council of Oklahoma that is dominated by CAIR Oklahoma Board members issued a press release on November 29th thanking Muneer Awad and CAIR for suing the state of Oklahoma to defend their right to use sharia law.  They sure don't seem to want to pass up any opportunity to call supporters of SQ 755 names.

ACTION: Counter CAIR Oklahoma demand "Oklahoman" letter-to-editor be removed!

Chuck Guzak blamed the right wing in Oklahoma for the passing of SQ 755 and fueling Islamophobia in his opinion article, Who's Afraid of Big-Bad Sharia in the Cornell Daily Sun today.  He argued that allowing Sharia courts in the U.S. would change nothing here. 

NAIT argues unindicted co-conspirator designation in secret at 5th Circuit

Politico's Josh Gerstein wrote a curious article about an appeals case involving the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) which was argued before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans beginning yesterday.  But, the judge closed the proceedings to the public.

"...The legal battle stems from federal prosecutors’ decision in 2007 to place NAIT and two other prominent Islamic organizations, the Council on American-Islamic Relations and Islamic Society of North America, on a publicly filed list of about 300 unindicted co-conspirators in a Dallas trial of a defunct Islamic charity accused of being a front for Hamas, the Holy Land Foundation.

...But the secrecy applied in the middle of the process, after briefs on the issue were filed publicly by both sides, seems like an effort to close the barn door after the horse has escaped.  The closed-door proceedings are also likely to fuel both the widespread suspicion about Islam that many Americans have expressed in recent polls triggered by the New York mosque controversy and the perception among many Muslims that they aren’t being dealt with fairly or forthrightly by the justice system.

New Islamic Council of Oklahoma dominated by CAIR board members!

The Islamic Council of Oklahoma has emerged.  it 's an affiliation of the larger mosques in Oklahoma located in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, Norman, Ardmore, Lawton and Edmond.  Will it become the collective political voice for Oklahoma Muslims someday?  One major concern I see is theboard is dominated by CAIR Oklahoma board members.  Hummm... That's not good.  At the end of July, CAIR Oklahoma's Board Chair, Michael Aziz Gipson, was charged with mortgage fruad and any reference to him was quickly removed from CAIR Oklahoma's website.  One of the board members for the Islamic Council is ID'd only as Adnan and another spot is vacant. 

Its mission: "...to foster the spirit of unity and understanding of Islam among Muslims and people of all faiths, to represent Muslims at the local and state levels (z:politically???) by promoting Islamic values, and to enhance the quality of life for men, women and children across the State of Oklahoma."

The Islamic Council of Oklahoma's website uses Mecca time.  Hey, we know they are so totally into their religion and claim the God of the Quran is God of all religions and stuff but this is Oklahoma and we use central time! 

Recently, the Islamic Society of Tulsa had a seminar with Shaykh Adbul Nasir Jangda on August 6-8th.  You can get a sense of him brainwash, I mean, lecture (video: slave part starts around 3 min mark) others they are the slave of Allah with no rights and the property of Allah.

Note: There are many fine Muslims in America who simply want to practice their religion quietly, privately and go about their business. They reject Islamism - the pursuit of power to gain a stronghold for Islamic rule. They reject Islamic activism.  They openly oppose the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) its affiliate Hamas, their affilates and supporters in the U.S., Hizb ut Tahrir, and others such Islamic supremacist organizations.  But, when a Muslim or any Islamic organization uses community service and interfaith efforts in cities and towns all across America to gain acceptance but calls critics of Islamic supremacist movements bigots while they openly or covertly support these Islamic supremacist movements, it's disturbing, two-faced and deceptive.

ABC News & Little Green Footballs mock Oklahoma on Sharia Law amendment

In November, Oklahomans will likely vote on a constitutional amendment called "Save Our State" (SQ 755) that would prohibit state courts from considering or imposing sharia law or international laws when they decide cases. This amendment would stop foreign or Islamic religious laws from creeping into our legal system but it has met with some ridicule.

But, do not kid yourself that elements of Islamic law are not creeping into America.  Recently, the American Academy of Pediatricians issued a policy statement about FGM and felt a "nick" in a young child's privates should be allowed!  This caused a number of groups to express outrage.  Shamed, AAP reversed themselves and removed the policy paper from their website.

Yet, Oklahoma is considered foolish by some.  In a ABC News article titled Islamic Sharia Law to Be Banned in, ah, Oklahoma, they believed the prospect of sharia law ever being applied in the sate was remote based on the relatively low number of Muslims.  Have you not noticed their numbers are small most everywhere in Amerca but their activism is very high?  Do you think the use of the phrase "Ah, Oklahoma" was suppose to be a dig against Oklahoma legislators for being so far out there it's ridiculous? The legal commentary ABC sought was Fordham professor, Jim Cohen, who represented several Guantanamo Bay enemy combatants in the past and who spoke out against the U.S. case against Al Qaeda operative Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in a CBS interview in 2008, so his comments seemed biased to me and meant to put the proposed legislation in a bad light.

Hummm...

Little Green Footballs, a former conservative blog written by Charles Johnson that swung 180 after Obama was elected and shortly after Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated CAIR filed a complaint with the FBI about some reader's comments, wrote Oklahoma Will Ban Sharia Law, Which Was Just About to Take Over and categorized it in the far right-wing nutsville world: Oklahoma, Far Right, Republican Party, GOP, Religious Right, Sharia, and Bigotry.

Bigotry? Far Right?  Nope, it's more like willful neglect on Johnson's part who knows first hand how CAIR tries to stop free speech over and over again when it comes to criticism of Islam or Islamism, which is one and the same to them. 

I wonder if he or ABC News has heard of the Texas Islamic Court?

It also appears they know very little about the long Islamist history in Oklahoma dating as far back as a 1988 speech made to Oklahoma Muslims by Abdullah Azzam - the godfather of Al Qaeda! What about the very open jihadist convention held on Christmas Day in the convention center in downtown Oklahoma City in 1992?  A convention stumbled upon by a CNN reporter whose life was changed forever.  And, from the NEFA Foundation read about The Muslim Brotherhood in the United States; which referenced a Muslim Brotherhood document written by Zeid al-Noman aregarding their weapons training camps in Oklahoma and how officials started getting suspicious (page 8 which referenced Government Exhibit 003-0089; 3:04-CR-240-G; U.S. v. HLF, et al.. p.18.).

Isn't it a strange coincidence that 9/11 hijacker Nawaf Alhazmi was ticketed in Oklahoma in April 2001 and that Bin Laden's pilot, Ihab Ali Nawawi, trained in Norman, Oklahoma - you know the same place where 9/11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui trained for a while? Airmen's Flight School was on the radar of the FBI in 1999 and before. A September 2001 Boston Globe article Flight school says FBI trailed suspect prior to hijackings (archive) gives more detail:

The vice president of a flight school in Oklahoma told The Boston Globe yesterday that three weeks before Tuesday's suicide hijackings, FBI agents interviewed him about a suspected terrorist who had trained at the school.

Dale Davis, the vice president of Airman Flight School in Norman, Okla., said FBI agents showed up at the facility asking questions about Zacarias Moussaoui, who was arrested in Minnesota last month after he tried to get flight simulator lessons on flying a commercial-size jet.

In addition, Davis said that FBI agents visited his flight school two years ago to ask questions about a former student who had been identified by federal authorities as an associate of Osama bin Laden, the Saudi-born dissident who is the prime suspect in organizing last week's hijackings.

in January 2008,  the Islamic Society of Tulsa invited a known Muslim Brotherhood leader by the name of Jamal Badawi, who was individually named an unindicated co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror-funded trial, to represent them in a debate about Islam and Christianity with a Muslim convert who is now a Christian pastor. The summer before, CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, was apparently invited to start a chapter here by local Islamic leaders.

But, what do these things have to do with Islamists and their left-wing partners infiltrating Oklahoma's legal system?  Well, to being with, Gov. Brad Henry (D) created the Governor's Ethnic American Advisory Council at the request of several Muslims who, in short order,  offered free copies of the Quran to every state legislator in 2007 that was embossed with the state seal.  That move got national attention when some of the offended legislators were highly ridiculed.  Razi Hashmi, the director of CAIR's chapter in Oklahoma said distribution of the Qurans was to educate legislators. He said the rejection was disturbing.

Why was a council, created by a governor and supported by the Oklahoma Office of Personnel Management which is funded by taxpapers, giving out a religious book, anyway?  Since that event one of the council members was placed on the influential Oklahoma State Textbook Committee and this spring Rep. Tom Cole held a special "townhall" for Muslims which was not listed on his schedule of public townhalls.  Cole's office insists it was not a townhall but it certainly was advertised as one.

The director of CAIR Oklahoma, Razi Hashmi, shilled for Hamas in the Oklahoma press last year and implied U.S. Rep. Mary Fallen (running for governor now) should keep her mouth shut about her support for Israel.  Oklahoma even has an Assistant Attorney General by the name of William F. O'Brien who shills for CAIR in opinion articles published in the Edmond Sun - a paper based in a suburb of Oklahoma City.  His boss, Drew Edmondson (D) is running for governor.

CAIR's national spokesman, Ibrahim Hooper, said the "anti-Islam rhetoric is approaching “Nazi-like” levels" when asked about the proposed amendment.  Saad Mohammed, CAIR Oklahoma co-founder, claimed extremists have distorted Sharia."  Does he also mean Saudi Arabia which shows the world almost daily the harsh life under Sharia?  CAIR and many other Muslim groups proudly claim Islam is the fastest growing religion in America.  Are you paying attention?  But It's important to distinquish secular Islam from Islamism which has a goal to gain power, bit by bit, for their religiously supremacist ideology.  Islamists do not recognize Islamism becasue it's all Islam to them. Islamism's goal is to dominate.  Chrisianity once thrived in the Middle East and is now a minority religion there because of Islamism and it can happen again, if we don't pay close enough attention. 

Golly,  gee whiz, ABC News and Little Green Football -  do you think it's possible there are other Islamists and their minions from the left who have worked or will work their way into Oklahoma government that could eventually influence legislation and/or our state courts? 

I say this is one smart move, Oklahoma!

Tareq ai Suwaidan: Islam will be in every home!

Reviving the Islamic Spirit is an annual Islamic convention held in Canada. Several Muslim Brotherhood leaders, including Jamal Badawi, who was hand-picked by the Islamic Society of Tulsa to be their Quran expert in a debate in 2008,  and Tareq al- Suwaidan, a top Muslim Brotherhood leader in Kuwaitt were speakers.  The grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Tariq Ramadan, was also a featured speaker.   The theme of their convention for 2009 was "Saving the Ship of Humanity".   This was their 8th convention.

The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamic supremacist global organization who seeks to recreate an Islamic state, similar the ruling structure for most Muslims from Islam's inception until 1924 when the last caliphate ended.  Do not underestimate their infiltration and influence in our country and Canada.

For example, Al-Suwaidan secured the funds from an "unknown business man" which paid for the 2nd of the three mosques purchased over time for the Islamic Society of Tulsa.   He went to the University of Tulsa.  Documentation of the Muslim Brotherhood organizational structure here and a number of their members was presented in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial.

In this 1.27 min. video snippet of the trailer for their last convention held on December 25-27,2009 in Toronto, Suwaidan proclaimed Islam will be in every home:

Islamists must feel more empowered under the Obama administration (Cinton removed visa hold on Ramadan, for example) because a similar convention will be held this May in Long Beach, California. This could be their first one in the U.S., but I am not 100% sure. Don't forget that Islamists will try to befriend every Muslim and as many of those on the left as they can in North America in order to bring them in under their umbrella to gain more power.

Recent CAIR board member deported for lying about Hamas association!

A former CAIR national board member (2007 wayback archive - a third party web page archiver), Nabil Sadoun, who was also the chairman of CAIR's board (wayback archive), in Texas, at one time, was described by CAIR as a "teacher and principal" in a number of American schools.  Last Friday he was ordered deported after the judge concluded he lied about his ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.  CAIR claimed he left the board a "few months" ago.  According the the Dallas Morning News, Sadoun was an imam at a mosque in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the 1990s. 

In Oklahoma, a newly formed group of concerned citizens;  Oklahomans Against CAIR HATE called for condemnation of CAIR yesterday in a press release.

"...CAIR claims to be a civil rights group for Muslims, but CAIR's numerous documented associations with terrorists like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood show CAIR's true intent," said Cindy Crenshaw, President of Oklahomans Against CAIR Hate (OACH)...

Below are some of the details of the judge's orders:

An immigration judge in Dallas on Friday ordered an outspoken Islamic leader deported after the U.S. government alleged he had ties to terrorist groups in the Middle East.

Nabil Sadoun a Dallas resident and former board member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, was deported to his native Jordan after he failed to appear at his immigration hearing. He entered the U.S. in August 1993.

In the hearing, Judge Anthony Rogersof the Executive Office for Immigration Review, said Sadoun "made a decision to leave the U.S." and forfeited his right to fight his deportation. He said the decision was final and could not be appealed.

In court, the judge made vague references to the government's voluminous motion to deport him, including alleged involvement with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The judge concluded Sadoun lied on government forms when he denied he was a member...

Women bravely prayed with men at mosque; police called!

You might have thought this story is about some brave women in the Middle East. Unfortunately,  this happened at the Islamic Center of Washington located in our nation's capital. 

In many mosques across America women are segregated.

...Over the weekend, (Jannah B'int) Hannah and approximately 20 other women prayed in the main hall, but D.C. police were called. They asked them to leave or be arrested.

Syed Burmi, the imam of Islamic Society of Western Maryland, said the physical separation helps maintain women's privacy and modesty as well as keeps the focus on prayer.

"If I stand next to a lady or a woman stands next to me, maybe the focus will change and no longer be on God the Almighty. So that's why we put the partition," Burmi said.

In two out of every three American mosques, women of separate prayer spaces around the country.

Asra Nomani is a leading Islamic feminist who led a similar protest in West Virginia.

"We have this generation of American muslim women who are saying look you want us to go to Harvard, to rise to the highest level of Wall Street firms and you want us to sit where .

Asra Nomani, an Islamic feminist, says Muslim women are encouraged to rise to the highest levels of society and don't want to be second class in the mosque.

Good for them!

Islamic Society of Tulsa spokewoman praised Anwar al-Awlaki in 2007!

In 2007,  Allison Moore, a spokeswoman for the Islamic Society of Tulsa,  stood before a meeting organized by Tulsa Truth, a local 9/11 conspiracy theorist group,  and spoke for thirty minutes on two different occasions.  The video segment below is from her January 2007 talk which has been available on the Internet since 2007.  She actually praised Yemen-based Anwar al-Awlaki (Aulaqi) and said our big bad government took away his citizenship - which I don't believe is accurate   Al-Awlaki is the U.S. born Imam who has now been linked to al-Qaeda, the Ft. Hood attack and the Christmas day bomber.  He had been on the radar of the FBI for years and slipped out of the country - yet Moore praised him and spoke of the large following he had here.  Is it safe to assume she had no clue why the FBI had an interest in him?  If she didn't have a clue, shouldn't she had been smarter to make sure abaut him before she took his side and blamed our government?  

Moore went on to complain how poorly many Muslims were treated - when hundreds were rounded up and some detained for years after 9/11, she said.  Jose Padilla was mentally gone after we allegedly tortured him, she claimed. Yet, Padilla was convicted for his terrorist activities.  Where does she get her information?  Then, she went on to say there aren't a lot of terrorists here because we aren't finding them, which is totally inaccurate.  She also said the media in recent years paints all mainstreams Muslims as fanatics - also completely inaccurate.  Moore's perception of reality is bizarre.

Moore, a Muslim convert and the daughter of a veteran, appears to have very strong anti-American opinions which could be the tip of the iceberg of anti-government sentiment prevalent among the hard-line Tulsa Muslim community - and that scares me and it should you, too. 

I can see why the FBI watches over them closely, as she said.

There are many fine Muslims in America who simply want to practice their religion quietly, privately and go about their business. They reject Islamism - the pursuit of power to gain a stronghold for Islamic rule. They reject Islamic activism.  They openly oppose the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) its affiliate Hamas, their affilates and supporters in the U.S., Hizb ut Tahrir, and others such Islamic supremacist organizations.  But, when a Muslim or any Islamic organization uses community service and interfaith efforts in cities and towns all across America to gain acceptance but calls critics of Islamic supremacist movements bigots while they openly or covertly support these Islamic supremacist movements, it's disturbing, two-faced and deceptive.

Purchase of Tulsa mosque raises questions...

In 1963, the Muslim Student Association (MSA) was started by Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members or supporters in Indiana and was likely the Brotherhood's first organizational structure in America.  This was also the same year the MSA at the University of Tulsa was formed.

The Muslim Brotherhood goal, as stated by its founder Hassan al-Banna, is to reclaim Islam’s manifest destiny; an Islamic hegemony headed by a caliph. No matter how hard Muslim Brotherhood members and their supporters in the West try to tell us differently - this is their ultimate goal.   Its supremacist ideology is strongly anti-West.  Update 2/10/2012:  Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Badi': Our Ultimate Goal, Establishing a Global Islamic Caliphate, Can Only Be Achieved Gradually and Without Coercion.  In a recent sermon, the General Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi', set out his vision for his movement and for Egypt in the post-revolutionary era.

In a 2004 article titled In Search of Friends among Foe a 1995 speech given by a top Muslim Brotherhood leader, who is now banned here,  was reviewed.  He spoke of the MSA:

 

"...In a 1995 speech to an Islamic conference in Ohio, a top Brotherhood official, Youssef  (Yusef) Qaradawi, said ---. "Conquest through dawah, that is what we hope for," said Qaradawi, an influential Qatari imam who pens some of the religious edicts justifying Hamas suicide bombings against Israeli civilians. ---. In his speech, Qaradawi said the dawah would work through Islamic groups set up by Brotherhood supporters in this country. He praised supporters who were jailed by Arab governments in 1950s and then came to the United States to "fight the seculars and the Westernized" by founding this country's leading Islamic groups. He named the Muslim Students Association (MSA), which was founded in 1963. Twenty years later, the MSA -- using $21 million raised in part from Qaradawi, banker Nada and the emir of Qatar -- opened a headquarters complex built on former farmland in suburban Indianapolis. With 150 chapters, the MSA is one of the nation's largest college groups..."

 

The Islamic Society of Tulsa wrote in their December 2009 newsletter (see below) in 1975 T.U. Muslim students were able to purchase their first mosque with money from an "unnamed Muslim of Pakistani origin" and the Masjid Al-Salam was formed. Next, a Christian Youth Activity Center was purchased with money obtained by Tariq al Suwaidan.  They wrote Al Suwaidan received the money from an "unnamed businessman in Kuwait." Al Suwaidan lived in Tulsa while working on his PHD in petroleum engineering at the University of Tulsa.  This was in 1983 - the same year MSA national headquarters was opened, also funded with foreign money. Al Suwaidan is a top Muslim Brotherhood leader in Kuwait, reported the Saudi Gazette.  Here is a pdf file of the webpage should the link not work anymore:  Download Http___www_saudigazette_com

In an article titled The Amazing Quran (google cache)Al Suwaidan is described as a Kuwaiti entrepreneur, Islamic author and speaker, and a leader of the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood.

In 2007, Al Suwaidan was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial, along with CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America, the North American Islamic Trust, and Jamal Badawi - all associated with the Islamic Society of Tulsa.  Also named were Hamas and Qaradawi. The Holy Land Foundation was the largest Islamic charity in America and was shut down and its operators were found guilty of funding Hamas.

 

On the list of unindicted co-conspirators, al Suwaidan's name appears on page 8, Section VII under the heading -- is/was a member of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood. 

 

It's also worth nothing a statement by Qaradawi was chosen to use by the Islamic Society of Tulsa right after 9/11 and well after the time he was banned from entering the U.S. for his fatwa approving martyrdom against Israel.  The Muslim Brotherhood is a global Islamic supremacist organization banned in Egypt (In 2011 we saw them no longer banned but thrive there), the country where it was founded, shortly after the last caliph of the Ottoman Empire  was defeated.

Watch Al Suwaidan declare in a speech in Australia The Khilafah is coming....I can see it coming and that the heart of Islam is Palestine whih was taken by the enemy of Allah - the Jews.  And in the same speech he declared Islam doesn't come on its own - you have to fight to struggle to bring it.

Razi Hashmi on the defense: "We are the Oklahoma chapter of CAIR"

It's pretty obvious after a protest was held by Oklahomans Against CAIR Hate last Saturday night CAIR's Oklahoma director, Reza Hashmi, was on the defense.  He tried to distance himself from the organization he works for by stating "we are the Oklahoma chapter of CAIR”.   

“...Our chapter has done nothing to promote terrorism, and it is unforturnate that we would be linked to other groups when all we’ve done is attempt to promote, uplift and support Muslims.

...”We hope that our event being protested tonight will show people that it is still difficult to be a Muslim in this country because of stereotypes,” Hashmi said.

What did he mean when he said it's unfortunate CAIR Oklahoma is linked to other groups?  Is he trying to make the state office of CAIR out to be a separate group from CAIR?  How absurd.

Come on now folks, that's an insult to our intelligence.

Then, he takes the dishonest leap that the protest against CAIR was an protest against Muslims.

Hashmi has shilled for Hamas at least two times in local newspapers.  His organized a protest rally in Oklahoma City last January that was clearly anti-Israel and highly divisive (pictured). 

In 2007, CAIR OK joined with the Islamic Society of Tulsa and gave three Goodwill Appreciation awards to members of Tulsa Truth - a 9/11 conspiracy theory group!

Razhi Hashmi works for the state office of CAIR an organization identified as a outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in our country as documented by federal prosecutors in several court cases.  The Muslim Brotherhood strongly supports Hamas which was created by the Muslim Brotherhood of Palestine.  It seeks the destruction of Israel.   Can I say Hashmi is a Muslim Brotherhood member?  No, I can't.  But,  I can say his public statements about Hamas and his actions against U.S. support for Israel are similar to that of the Muslim Brotherhood.

In the article, Oklahoma House District 84 candidate Brittnay Novotny, a transgender Democrat, was also misinformed about the purpose of the protest when she was said:

I came here tonight to learn more about a community that I don’t know much about,” said Brittany Novotny, Oklahoma House District 84 candidate. “I did not really see the protestors outside because I came in through a back door, but I do think it is unfortunate that an event this important to our state and even our county would bring out people who show a prejudice.”

The truth is not prejudice, or a stereotype, it stands alone.

Women are segregated at Masjid Al Salam, the mosque at the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) located in the heart of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  A glass window seals out the sounds coming from the women's room where the kids pray along with their mothers.  A sound system pipes in the prayer to them from the men's room (thanks TulsaMuslimah).  This Islamic community celebrated their 10th anniversary in December where visitors were required to conform to their strict religious dress code standards.

Some of IST's partners are unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial; CAIR, the Islamic Society of North America and the North American Islamic Trust!  The latter owns the deed to their property.  In 2007, they brought in Jamal Badawi also an unindicted co-conspirator and a known Muslim Brotherhood leader to represent them in a debate.  Oh, did I have to dig deep for that information and I about fell off my chair.

Fundamental Islam in Tulsa, Oklahoma?  Maybe.

Tulsa: Former Muslim, now atheist, received death threats

A former Muslim, who is now an atheist, received death threats after going public about his reason for leaving Islam and his dislike for all religions.  This didn't happen in a foreign country but in the middle of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Sabri Husibi, a native of Syria, has lived in the United States for about 10 years.  On the 26th of September an interview with him was published by the Tulsa World titled Islamic student turned atheist to speak to group about his long decision to leave Islam and his rejection of all religions. 

Then, in a followup interview last Thursday Husibi told the World he received death threats and other angry phone calls which he said were from foreign-born Tulsa area Muslims whom he knew who took offense to his view on Islam.

FBI post domestic investigations guide; CAIR whines

On Tuesday, the FBI posted their domestic investigation guidelines (DIOG).  It only took a day for CAIR, a Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas minion,  to ask the Department of Justice and the Obama administration to rethink them:

...The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued that call after the release of a redacted version of the FBI's Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide that whites-out portions (Part 16) about guidance on "undisclosed participation," which relates to the use of confidential informants in American houses of worship such as mosques.

...It is the FBI's use of informants in mosques without probable cause indicating criminal activity that has been of particular concern to the American Muslim community and, in part, caused national Islamic groups earlier this year to consider suspending ties with the FBI.

The FBI, as you recall, suspended ties with CAIR last fall. 

Calling on American Islamic leaders: Own up to martyrdom in Islam

Today 32 people lost their lives in Pakistan in a likely martyrdom operation.  Daily these attacks seem to take place. Unfortunately, the media always refer to these as suicide events but in reality they are carried out by Muslims who are martyring themselves for Islam.  Now, whether these young men and women, who are sometimes teenagers or younger, destroyed their life and that of others to please Allah following Islamic law correctly is another question.  We need clarification.

Take a moment to review Malik Ali who in 2002 cried out to other Muslims in America not to call these attackers suicide bombers because they are martyrs!  Ali, as it make sicken you to know,  is one of the organizers who was granted a park permit to hold the first every Friday pray on the Washington Mall next Friday.  They hope for 50,000 Muslims, who will be bused in from all over the country, if all goes well.  This will be a major day for thousands of Muslims and for Islam.  The organizers credit President Obama for this historic event.

Also know the largest Islamic inter-governmental agency in the world, the Organization of Islamic Conference's own Fiqh Council ruled martyrdom is not terrorism and is acceptable according to Islamic law to defend the Islamic creed, dignity, freedom and the sovereignty of states.  Only the U.N. is a larger body, although it is not all Islamic - it is gaining serious ground.

So, it's incumbent for us to use the correct terms in discussions with Muslims.  Don't use the word terrorism anymore.  Martyrdom is the correct term to use. Defending the Islamic creed to please Allah calls for martyrdom in certain circumstances.  Martyrdom is a form of jihad and sometimes it is a required obligation.  We need to know when.  If a Muslim leader denies martyrdom is a part of Islam, ask for them to be put it in writing on their mosque's website for clarification. They won't.  If they tell you they already have issued a statement about terrorism - well,  that's just going around in circles.

It is incumbent for Islamic leaders in the U.S. to inform us what operations are Islamic legitimate as they occur as part of their continuing education about Islam. To do less is not being honest.  Ask about specific attacks.  Ask why Islamic leaders in America aren't doing more to force the issue with Islamic leaders in other countries if these attacks are against Islam. Ask why there is a never-ending supply of jihadists.  Ask Muslim leaders to put in writing that the daily martyrdom attacks overseas are against Islam,  if they claim they are. Do they disagree with the OIC?  Will they put that in writing?  Actually, they should be shouting this from rooftops all over America at every opportunity for the world to hear!  Are martyrdom operations always wrong? No more pat assurances that Islam is only a religion of peace without these clarifications. Referencing past statements against terrorism to answer these specific questions do not cut it.  Enough. 

Don't they see it is Muslims themselves who are giving Islam the bad name?  So, I think it would be very helpful to have a website that lists lslamic approved martyrdom attacks as they occur for us to review as part of our on-going Islamic education, don't you think? 

Come on American Muslim leaders - step up.

On June 17th,  an article titled Clarifications About the Concept of Jihad in Islam by Islamic scholar Maulvi Yahya Nomani was posted on the The American Muslim(TAM) website. It slammed the critics of Islam who say jihad is a license for cold-blooded murder. It's the evil Western imperialists that control the media who spin the news against Islam, the author explains.  Although Nomani acknowledged a small number of Muslims have engaged in terrorism he insisted the West has a very bloody history and has carried out terrorist acts that were then blamed on Muslims.  What?

Islamophobia is rising, too, Nomani claimed based on a Western driven  "false projection of Islamic jihad".  Yet, it's never the fault of articles, like his, as you will find out, or the religious rulings of Islamic leaders that state fighting for the sake of Allah in order to advance or protect Islam is OK, now is it? 

Namani informs us jihad is a doctrine to promote peace.  It is also a FIGHT against others for Allah's acceptance to protect Islam and to guide humanity, he goes on.  The important point Namoni makes in his article is that this is OK to do only if the Muslims doing the fighting are Islamically pure.  Then their "offensive" jihad would surely be a blessing to humanity!

...Rather, jihad is governed by a host of spiritual and moral principles and laws, observing which alone can qualify it to be truly called ‘struggle in God’s path’ (jihad fi sabil Allah).

...Caring nothing for worldly comforts, they led a life in service to God and in accordance with His will. So, when they were ordered to fight in defence against those who had launched a reign of terror and oppression against them, they were told by God that this was not simply to defend themselves, but, rather, to defend God’s faith on earth. This is why these wars were termed as jihad fi sabil Allah and were deemed a source of great reward.

...Rather, for a war fought by Muslims to be regarded as a jihad it must be fought, not for communal defence or the defence of Muslims’ lives and properties, but, rather to gain God’s acceptance, protect His faith, guide humanity, promote its welfare and save it from oppression and strife.

...Besides purity of the aims of fighting, proper intention, and strict obedience to Islamic rules and shariah limits in the conduct of war -- the Quran also indicates that those Muslims who take to the path of jihad must be so pure in their service of and commitment to God and so morally upright that, if as a result of their struggle they gain control of any territory, they would use their powers not to satisfy their lusts and base, worldly desires, but, instead, to spread goodness and the service of God and to rid the world of wickedness.  Undoubtedly, jihad undertaken by such a group would be a blessing for humanity, and that is why God rewards such a struggle with great merit.

Can Muslims fight non-Muslims governments  in countries that do not oppress Muslims?  " -- after the demise of the Prophet, many of his companions spread out of Arabia into other lands and fought wars for this purpose,"  the author wrote. 

Muslim must invite non-Muslims to the faith first. This position, we are told,  can be backed by Hadith reports that insist on the need for peaceful propagation of Islam before fighting can at all be envisaged.

At least the article assures us at the end that Muslims are not on the true path of Islam today and therefore are not pure enough to wage offensive jihad.  Hummm, is that really suppose to make us feel better?  Did I mention jihadist attacks are at an all time high worldwide?

Namoni explained if these Muslims were to take control of a territory with their offensive jihad it must be only for the good of Islam.  Oh, that's rich.  It's easy to see how young impressionable Muslims are persuaded/indoctrinated into believing they are acting for the sake of Allah to please him by their Islamically pure acts as this religious idealogy is burned into their hearts and minds, day after day, year after year.

On The American Muslim's own Muslim Voices Against Extremism and Terrorism  page they reference at least three Islamists who approve or have approved of martyrdom (its OK to kill yourself to kills others); Yusef Qaradawi, Jamal Badawi and Muhammad Sayyid al-Tantawi, the Grand Shaikh of al-Azhar in Egypt.  There could be more which requires more research.  Are we supposeto take this page seriously?  The disclaimer at the bottom of each page states opinions expressed on their OWN website may not necessarily reflect the editorial position of The America Muslim which is a pure cop-out.  Are their hands tied who posts on their site?  This is reliable?

According to the Islamic Society of Tulsa (IST) who actually links to the TAM anti-terrorism page this is a reliable website!  Are you kidding me?  The Islamic Society of Tulsa apparently want us to believe TAM is a credible source that will help alleviate our concerns about Islam and terrorism.  Right?  Wrong.

And Muslims wonder why they get such a bad rap.

Stealth Islamism in Oklahoma?

A little over three years ago the division between President Bush and the Left was probably the greatest when it came to his handling of Islamic terrorism.  Here we all were facing the same enemy; Al-Qaeda, its supporters and affiliates and instead of showing a strong united front to combat the Islamist/jihadist network that wanted to destroy our country the Dems and their supporters made President Bush the arch bad guy.  How our enemies must have rejoiced as this played out in the American press, day after day; month after month.

Who was right?   What I found over the next three years wasn't what I wanted or expected to find.  Frankly, I would have preferred to have any concerns about the nature of our enemy dispelled and gone back to my normal life of not thinking much about it anymore. But that didn't happen. My search for answers eventually led to the creation of this blog in June of 2007. 

All that aside, never in my wildest thoughts did I expect some of this research to led me into parts of the Muslim community in Oklahoma. Never.

I learned the Muslim Brotherhood had weapon training sessions and/or camps in Oklahoma back in the 80s which was one of the earliest indications of Islamist influence in this state ( FBI Muslim Brotherhood document, page 16). A video clip of Abdullah Azzam from a documentary called "Jihad in America," which aired on PBS in 1994, identifies a speech he gave in Oklahoma City in 1988 to many of our Muslim neighbors. Azzam was the mentor to Osama Bin Laden and a long-term member of the Muslim Brotherhood! A year later he was assassinated and Bin Laden's group morphed into Al-Qaeda. Azzam was praised as a martyr in a 2007 Al-Qaeda produced video that is still on YouTube!

When I discovered that a CNN reporter accidentally happened onto an Islamist/jihadist convention in Oklahoma City attended by thousands of Oklahoma Muslims in 1992, I was, let's say, speechless:

"...I actually stumbled across it quite by accident. In December 1992 I was a correspondent with CNN and on assignment in Oklahoma City to do some interviews on another subject entirely. On Christmas Day I found myself with nothing to do. While looking for a fast-food restaurant, I passed a convention center where I saw thousands of Muslims dressed in traditional garb congregating in the streets and entering the center. At first, my own ignorance led me to think they might be extras on a movie set.

When I went inside, I discovered what was really going on. Radical groups were openly declaring themselves to be Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Hizbullah, and even Gama'a Islamiya (Omar Abdel Rahman's group in Egypt). They made absolutely no effort to hide their identity or their agendas. Just going to the stalls I collected a phenomenal amount of material, some of which I have subsequently showed on national television. Alarmed, I called a FBI official in Washington to see if it was aware of their existence. I was even more shocked to discover the FBI did not know this conference was taking place..."

What this reporter saw at this convention changed his career and life forever.  Today,  Steve Emerson is an investigative reporter and a leading anti-terrorism expert who shares his knowledge in testimony to Congress and is the executive director the Investigative Project. His critics offer little by way of proof to discredit him such as in a 2007 article by Ahmed Rehab of CAIR-Chicago that had a link to CAIR's page on Emerson, which has since been removed (see IP address) but is archived here by a third party archiver!  CAIR claimed Emerson ruined an innocent professor's life."  That professor is Sami Al-Arian, a convicted teror supporter.  How can you take CAIR's criticism of him seriously when their documentation to back up their claims doesn't exist on their wbsite anymore?  I think they ran away from it.

Back in 1993, Osama bin Laden's pilot, Ihab Ali Nawawi, apparently received his commercial pilot license at the Airman Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma!  A few years later in 1998, the FBI in Oklahoma City warned of concerns about a large number of Middle Eastern men taking pilot training in Oklahoma could be related to "planned terrorist activity."but the memo was never sent to Washington.

Then there's the stone-walled investigation into the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing about possible or coincidental Middle East connections by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher that is still out there trapped in some kind of political limbo. As a result, I started a page title "Islam in Oklahoma - mixed signals" in 2007.  The next year the Islamic Society of Tulsa brought in Jamal Badawi, who is a known Muslim Brotherhood leader and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror-funding trial, to represent them as their Quranic expert in a very public debate. Badawi approves of Islamic martyrdom to combat aggression or oppression which follows the Islamist mindset.  My web-page on Islam in Oklahoma has now grown to 15 pages and highlights a number of mixed signals received from some of our Muslim neighbors and leaders.  By no means is it complete.  Are these signals unique only to the state of Oklahoma? Somehow, I doubt it.

"Islam in Oklahoma" will continue to be a work in progress that is full of twist and turns that would make a great novel, except it's real.

FBI letter mentions CAIR-OK

It's quite noteworthy that the Council of American Islamic Relation's chapter in Oklahoma was specifically mentioned in a letter by the FBI when it severed it relations with the controversial Islamic group. 

News of this letter emerged just four weeks after Razi Hasmi, CAIRs-OK director shilled for Hamas in a local Oklahoma newspaper:

America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s"illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers, the executive director of the Oklahoma City chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations said Monday (1/5/09).

From Fox News:

"...In Oklahoma, FBI officials had worked with CAIR's local branch from its founding in 2007 and attended the fundraising banquet that launched the office. But just over a year later, the local FBI froze all its programs involving CAIR.

FOXNews obtained a copy of the Oct. 8, 2008 letter sent by James E. Finch, special agent in charge of Oklahoma City, which canceled a session with local Muslim organizations "as a result of the planned participation by the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)."

The new policy marks a major shift for the FBI, which has long been close to CAIR. The agency has previously invited CAIR to give training sessions for agents and used it as a liaison with the American Muslim community.

But not all CAIR branches have been told of the FBI's new policy.  "Locally we have not had any reports, we have no letters from the FBI to suggest that" ties were being severed, said Ahmed Rehab, a spokesman in CAIR's Chicago office. "It's a working relationship and that remains in place."

It remains unclear whether CAIR's national office is still in contact with the FBI, as a formal statement from the bureau seemed to hold out the possibility for renewed engagement.

CAIR's executive director, Nihad Awad, attended a post-Sept. 11 meeting with then-FBI director Robert Mueller,and he met with other top brass as recently as 2006. But that was before Awad was shown to have participated in Hamas funding planning meetings with the Holy Land Foundation.  Five officials were convicted in December of funneling $12.4 million to Hamas.

Right Side News, reported "...A spokesman for the FBI's Oklahoma City office referred questions -- to the FBI's national press office. In Washington, FBI spokesman John Miller said, "We've certainly been in contact with CAIR chapters" about the un-indicted co-conspirator designation. "The letter speaks for itself."

CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper declined to comment Wednesday when the IPT called for comment. Before hanging up, Hooper said "We're more than happy to cooperate with legitimate media. But we don't cooperate with those who promote anti-Muslim bigotry..."

Legitimate media? Oh please, CAIR that's so weak.

Breaking: FBI breaks off contact with CAIR!

YIPEE!  The FBI has severed ties with CAIR, at least for now. There's reference to the Oklahoma City FBI office in the press release below, you may find interesting.

As many of zTruth readers know, the Islamic Society of Tulsa and Greater Oklahoma City have been very visible with their partnership with this questionable Islamic organization. The FBI had to cancel a meeting with local Oklahoma Muslim groups because of involvement by CAIR-OK, it appears.

I think this was a smart decision by the FBI to cut bate with CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America.

Below is part of the press release issued by the Investigative Project:

"It is a stunning rebuke to the organization which promotes itself as "arguably the most visible and public American Muslim organization." The decision to end contacts with CAIR was made quietly last summer as federal prosecutors prepared for a second trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), an Islamic charity convicted in November for illegally routing money to Hamas. CAIR was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the case.

 

Its name appears on a roster of "Palestine Committee" members. Evidence in the case shows the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas's parent organization, created the Palestine Committee to help Hamas politically and financially. CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad, who remains the executive director, also appear on a telephone list of Palestine Committee members. The men also participated in a secret 1993 gathering of Hamas members and supporters called to discuss ways to "derail" U.S.-led peace efforts between Israelis and Palestinians.

The IPT obtained a letter from the FBI's Oklahoma City field office, which explained that a meeting with local Muslim groups had to be postponed due to restrictions on CAIR's access. For that to change, wrote James E. Finch, special agent in charge of the FBI's Oklahoma City field office, "certain issues must be addressed to the satisfaction of the FBI. Unfortunately, these issues cannot be addressed at the local level and must be addressed by the CAIR National Office in Washington, D.C."

FBI spokesman John Miller confirmed the letter's existence. Sources indicate similar correspondence was issued by other field offices..."

The Islamic Society of Tulsa is mum on the Gaza conflict

Did I, by chance, overlook any public response from the Islamic Society of Tulsa on the Hamas-controlled Gaza conflict with Israel?

In light of this, we then have to rely on their use of CAIR's response to the conflict and the words of their Oklahoma Director, Razi Hashmi, who was quoted by NewsOK on January 6th that America needs to take immediate actions to end the illegal and immoral offensive taken by Israel against the Hamas rulers!  Oh, those poor Hamas thugs.

Now let's look at the link to Malcolm X.  First, of all, the introduction is in Arabic.  Here's what it says roughly translated:

...Malcolm X was affiliated to the movement of (the Nation of Islam)...

 In one of his eloquent speeches, which was hosted by the call to God, -- he was assassinated on their hands while standing on the podium when people started delivering sixteen bullets insidious about the long thin body ...

Then the conclusion .. Finally, yes, but .. We ask God to accept as martyrs on the Day of Resurrection."

Shortly after I referred to Hashmi's page in an earlier post, he shut down his facebook page.

Did Tulsa Muslims take the side of Hamas in their protest?

 

Why are Tulsa area Muslims not protesting against Hamas for the freedom of the people in Gaza?  This terrorist organization brutally overtook control of Gaza from the legitimate government in 2007.  

Their protest yesterday appears to be a good clue whose side they stand on - Hamas. 

Hamas, as you may recall, seeks the destruction of Israel.

CAIR, an organization that grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, issued an Action Alert to get Muslims out to vote in record numbers before the election.

In this alert, CAIR's executive director, Nihad Awad said:

"As a vocal minority seeks to marginalize the Islamic community, it is more important than even for American Muslims to turn out on Tuesday to vote,” said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. Awad said CAIR will conduct an exit poll of Muslim voters."

Now, let's go to the blog of the executive director for CAIR Oklahoma, Razi Hashmi, who copied and pasted this alert to his blog, EXCEPT he changed the statement of Nihad Awad's to his own:

“As a vocal minority seeks to marginalize the Islamic community, it is more important than even for American Muslims to turn out on Tuesday to vote,” said CAIR-OK Executive Director Razi Hashmi. Hashmi said CAIR-OK will conduct an exit poll of Muslim voters."

How's that for Islamic honesty?

In the October 2008 newsletter put out by the Islamic Society of Tulsa, they included an article titled "May Allah Love Her" about the extra effort one woman went to in order to cover up her body before prayer. 

At the end of the article, Tulsa Muslims are encouraged to review an article by Jamal Badawi on how to dress as a Muslim.  Oh, oh.  Badawi is a Muslim Brotherhood leader and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial where the defendants were found guilty on all 108 accounts last month.  In his article, Badawi referenced a book about the lawful and prohibited acts in Islam written by terror-supporter Yusef Qaradawi, as one of the sources for his article.  The Islamic Society of Tulsa refers to Muslim Brotherhood leaders as Islamic authorities on a regular basis, it appears.  It's not a good sign. 

Now let's take a look at the "Islam in Oklahoma" section on Women in Islam where we find that Oklahoma Muslim leaders passed some rather harsh judgments against the West:

"Unfortunately, society in the west today too often publicly exposes women's bodies shamelessly and portrays nudity to somehow symbolize the expression of a woman's freedom....A look at the society in the west today will reveal some of the consequences. There is rampant adultery, uncountable rapes, millions of illegitimate pregnancies, millions of abortions, and millions of illegitimate children without responsible fathers to care for them.  Many of them will end up a 'street children', joining the gangs and adding to the ever-increasing violence in the society, which has already reached epidemic proportions. To save humanity from destroying themselves it is evident that both men and women need to cover themselves more properly...The main purpose of covering the body is to cover the shame and other physical features so that they remain out of sight of others, to avoid drawing undue attraction, and to prevent the excitement of evil desires in others. It is this path of purity and modesty, which is essential in Islam towards achieving righteousness and God's pleasure,"

Women have to cover up because of shame?   Who knew!

In the Islamic Society of Tulsa's 9/11 newsletter (archived) they included a statement from the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Yusef Qaradawi, who condemned the 9/11 attacks but then turned this horrific tragedy to be all about Muslims -  who are the real victims, he claimed.  He also said terrorism outside of Israel is not acceptable but inside is - well a different matter! 

"...Qaradawi said, "we Arab Muslims are the most affected by the grave consequences of hostile attack on man and life. We share the suffering experienced by innocent Palestinians at the hands of the tyrannical Jewish entity..."  I have been asked -- on TV programs -- about the martyr operations outside the Palestinian territories, -- I do agree with those who do not allow such martyr operations to be carried out outside the Palestinian territories..."

Badawi is on the board of directors (scroll down on these pages:  zTruth saved web page, Oct 07 archive page or this archive page taken July 04) of the Muslim Association of Canada ( MAC) a group who states in their preamble their allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood:

"MAC adopts and strives to implement Islam, as embodied in the Qur’an, and the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and as understood in its contemporary context by the late Imam, Hassan Albanna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood. MAC regards this ideology as the best representation of Islam as delivered by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)."

Badawi is also on the board of directors for CAIR, ISNA and a number of organizations of which terror-supporter and Muslim Brotherhood leader Yusef Qaradawi chairs.  All were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial along with Hamas and nearly 295 other organizations and individuals.

Responding to "Proud Muslim" again

For a few weeks now, I've been having an online "conversation" with a Tulsa Muslim with the online name of Proud Muslim at the Tulsa World.  I  put all this on a webpage so you can follow along if you like here which I will update, from time to time,  when new comments are made. 

Below is a recent comment I made:

zTruth:  Quoting from Proud Muslim:  "Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing..."

Proud Muslim:  If someone attacked what I stood for, I would risk my life to protect it. That's what we did in the Revolutionary War. That's what we did in the Civil War. That's what we did in the Civil Rights Movement. That's what we did in World War I. That's what we did in World War II. Maybe you find our nation's history worrying and extreme. I don't.

zTruth:  Proud Muslim, it appears you would take the law into your own hands to defend Islam, if you felt it necessary.  You also compared your right to do so to the wars America has fought and other struggles where no religious doctrine was involved. Your apples to oranges comparison is way out there.

There is no correlation between religion and violence you said.   Did we not just review one part of the Quran that contradicts this?  Did you not say If someone attacked what you stood for, you would risk your life to protect it?  In this context, you were talking about fighting and protecting Islam.

The two Muslim Brotherhood leaders whom the Islamic Society of Tulsa has presented to Oklahomans as religious authorities have both affirmed their belief in martyrdom against Israel.

Yusef Qaradawi has endorsed Palestinian suicide bombings for twenty years. These attacks have also been sanctioned by numerous Islamic clerics.

Question: I would like to ask about the ruling of Palestinian women carrying out martyr operations.

Dr. Qaradawi answers:The martyr operation is the greatest of all sorts of jihad in the cause of Allah.  A martyr operation is carried out by a person who sacrifices himself, deeming his life [of] less value than striving in the cause of Allah, in the cause of restoring the land and preserving the dignity. To such a valorous attitude applies the following Qur'anic verse: "And of mankind is he who would sell himself, seeking the pleasure of Allah; and Allah hath compassion on (His) bondmen." (Qur'an, 2: 207)

Jamal Badawi:  First, the intent behind that sacrifice (martyrdom) is exclusively for the sake of pleasing God and supporting His cause.  

Recently,  Badawi was quoted in the paper saying what is wrong with fighting to establish justice in Islam?

Proud Muslim, you claim no knowledge about Yusef Qaradawi or Jamal Badawi yet reads the Quran only in Arabic.  Odd.

Your new Imam, Mohamed ElGhobashy, hails from Al-Azhar University.  Shaikh Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, the Shaikh of Al-Azhar, the highest ranking religious official in Egypt, also called for Jihad against Israel ‘in defence of the holy places, the liberation of the occupied land, and the repulsion of the enemy.’  

Yet, Imam ElGhobashy said in a recent interview in the Tulsa World, "We should show this beautiful religion of mercy and peace to others," and then blamed the American media as the cause of misunderstanding about Muslims for labeling them terrorists!    Of course, not ALL Muslims are terrorists but he wants us to think there are no Muslim terrorists.

Here is the quote from ElGhobashy:

"...On the down side, he said, in recent years, the American media has propagated misunderstandings about Muslims, labeling them as terrorists.

"It makes me sad that Islam is presented as a religion of terror," he said, citing a verse from the Quran that Islam is to be a religion of peace and mercy for all humanity, including non-Muslims..."

You said there is no correlations between violence and religion?  Proud Muslim, I'm afraid there is with Islam and many of your religion's Islamic authorities approve of it.  They call it justice.  In the name of Islam, they take the law into their own hands.

Americans, particularly public officials, are being shamed to dare even link Islam to terrorism or call it what it is.  Yet many just quote your own religious authorities.

And on the new "Islam in Oklahoma" web-page by the Islamic Society of Tulsa and the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City they wrote on their "War and fighting in Islam" section under  (3 bullet) that its meaning includes "fighting" to establish justice which is a supreme goal in Islam.  Missing from this page is any statement that the laws within our country negate ANY jihadist goals of Islam.

Islam does have a written creed for war and fighting and it is in the Quran.  

Proud Muslim also lamented that women are now separated from the men when they pray at the mosque at the Islamic Society of Tulsa.  This is because a strict version of Sunni Islam is being practiced there.  They call it authentic Islam which is probably a strict interpretation of the Quran.  

IST's deed is held by the North American Islamic Trust, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land terror funding trial.  Your mosque is permanently affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America, also named an unindicted co-conspirator.  This organization was specifically named in a Muslim Brotherhood document as one of their organizations set up in America.

And finally, the person they selected to speak for them as their Quranic expert this year was named by the FBI as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood's board of directors for their North American operations.  Jamal Badawi is also an unindicted co-conspirator.

Yet, Proud Muslim calls me narrow-minded.

Update:

Proud Muslim later clarified his/her statement about risking his/her life to the death.

"You seem to have misunderstood my comparison. In the Civil War, we fought to preserve the Union and end slavery. Why? Because that is what America stood for.
If you attacked my right to worship God, I would defend it with protests, marches, etc."

Jamal Badawi met with Yusef Qaradawi in Qatar

Dr. Jamal Badawi, the Muslim Brotherhood leader whom the Islamic Society of Tulsa chose to represent them as their Quranic expert, was in Qatar this month attending a conference of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.

Chairing this association is non-other than terror-supporter Yusef Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The conference attendees called upon Iran to punish a news agency for insulting Qaradawi and slammed the U.S. for air strikes in Pakistan. 

The Doha conference called on Iran to take action against the Mehr news agency which, the statement said, had “insulted Dr Qaradawi and aimed groundless accusations against him”.  The statement blamed “the absence of religious and ethical principles from the economic activities” for the global financial turmoil.  The statement appreciated efforts made by the Netherlands, the UK, Austria and Germany to “address” the hate campaign against Islam.  The scholars slammed what they called “US pressures on Iraq to sign the proposed security agreement with the US”.  They condemned “the indiscriminate US air strikes” on the Pakistani territory, saying that such attacks “claimed the lives of innocent people and violated the integrity of a sovereign country”.   Besides al-Qaradawi, the two-day meeting was attended by IUMS deputy chairman Ayatollah Mohamed Ali Taskhiri and secretary general Dr Mohamed Salim al-Awwa. Proud Tulsa Muslim: "Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing..."

I've been having a conversation with a Tulsa Muslim in the comment section of the Tulsa World after an article was written about their new Imam, Mohamed ElGhobashy or Sheikh Alghobashy (per IST newsletter).

Proud Muslim sees me as narrow-minded for linking Islam with terrorism.  Yet Proud Muslim said in a recent comment:

"Islam is the only true religion. You may not believe it, but I do. Do you not believe your religion is the only true one?

Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing, but today, there is no Islamic caliphate that needs to be defended, so it is irrelevant.

"Islamic pirates" is an oxymoron. Pirates steal goods and kill without reason, both of which is denounced in the Quran.

 

"Being martyred protecting Islam is a good thing," he said.  Then Proud Muslim claims since there is no caliphate today martyrdom is not an issue.

 

I beg to differ.  The Islamic Society of Tulsa has presented to Oklahomans two Muslim Brotherhood leaders who have approved of martrydom, Yusef Qaradawi and Jamal Badawi.

 

The last comment Proud Muslim made about pirates has to do with our founding fathers who struggled for four decades fighting against Islamic aggression.  Yet Proud Muslim claims its an oxymoron. 

 

Here's a little bit of history:

 

"In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.

The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease.

During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."

Every American should read Victory at Tripoli which is an account of this struggle against Islamic aggression based on Congressional records and other documents.  It took the author three years to complete his research.  Read Lessons for the War on Terror, which is an overview of the book, if you get a chance.

Imam Mohamed ElGhobashy of the Islamic Society of Tulsa

The Islamic Society of Tulsa publicly introduced their new Imam, after a year delay.  Imam Mohamed ElGhobashy might have come to Tulsa directly from Egypt.  He holds a Ph.D. in comparative religions from Al-Azhar University in Cairo.  He's still associated with the university, according to the Tulsa World. 

Al-Azhar University is headquarters for Islamic rulings in Egypt overseen by Shaikh Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, otherwise known as the Shaikh of Al-Azhar. There are a number of articles you should review about Shaikh of Al-Azhar, which in turn, reveals a lot about Al-Azhar University and probably what they teach there about Islam.

For example, in a 2000 interview Shaikh Tantawi urged fighting against Israel.

"Shaikh Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, the Shaikh of Al-Azhar, the highest ranking religious official in Egypt and World of Islam, called for Jihad against Israel ‘in defence of the holy places, the liberation of the occupied land, and the repulsion of the enemy.’ He stated that combating the oppression is incumbent upon the entire Islamic Ummah and not an obligation of the Palestinians alone. Shaikh Tantawi also declared that Islam requires that the leaders and people of the Arab and Islamic states support the Jihad of the Palestinian people who are fighting against the occupiers of their land.

It is sufficient. that they are waging Jihad in the name of the entire [Islamic] nation and advancing their spirits in sacrifice to the religion of Allah and in defence of the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque. The entire [Islamic] Ummah supports them..."

In April 2002, during his weekly sermon, he described Jews as "the enemies of Allah, sons of pigs and apes.

And from MEMRI:

"...Sheik Tantawi: " I was very clear: Anyone defending his right, his land, his money, and his religion and gets killed is a martyr. Anyone who blows himself up amongst the enemy that wants to kill him and he can find no means of defending himself except blowing himself up amongst these soldiers who are occupying his land and destroying his home, and so he blows himself up amongst these aggressive soldiers, is a Shahid, Shahid, Shahid."   To view the clip, go here.

In December 2007, an Al-Azhar envoy in the Philippines was arrested after an explosive device was found in his room.  Shaikh Tantawi said it was all a mistake.  The man was allowed to post bond and was released to the Egyptian Embassy in the Philippines.  In April, this man was somehow allowed to return to Egypt but authorities say they still have strong evidence against him. The envoy claims he was acquitted in court.

We also learned from the Tulsa World article that women at the Islamic Society of Tulsa are segregated from the men at the mosque when they pray, a possible sign that the strict Sunni interpretation of the Quran is practiced at this mosque. 

ElGhobashy said Muslims can change their religion in Egypt and Saudi Arabia; "...if someone leaves Islam without antagonizing others, then "there's no problem; that's his freedom."   His statement directly contradicts the 2008 Report on International Religious Freedom by the U.S. Department of State and their reports from previous years. The Imam denied honor killings are a part of Islam. He said, "We should show this beautiful religion of mercy and peace to others," and then blamed the American media for labeling Muslim terrorists and Islam as a religion of terror!  

Really?  The American media labels all Muslim terrorists?  In my humble estimation,  Islamists and their organizations, such as CAIR, try to make criticism about Islamic terrorism (martyrdom) or political Islam an insult against Islam, itself.  

Surely, this wasn't the intent of the Imam in his first public statement.

Kareem Amer, who was jailed in Egypt for insulting Islam, was a former student at Al-Azhar univeristy, issued a statement.  Islamists would say this is just a lie or propaganda.

Oklahoma Islamic societies: War & fighting in Islam

The Islamic societies of Tulsa and Oklahoma City have joined together to create a "Islam in Oklahoma" page where they have a section called "War and fighting in Islam".

This page starts off:  "Does Islam command its followers to wage war against unbelievers or kill them with out provocation?  Absolutely not"! 

It goes on to state Islam forbids the taking of any human life except for a just cause under the law---i.e., capital punishment for convicted murderers, fighting in wartime, or self-defense. "

Further down the page under their "What is Jihad? What is Not Jihad?" section they wrote the Islamic meaning of jihad does include fighting to establish justice which is a supreme goal in Islam, which was not mentioned in their opening paragraph about the conditions they listed there for fighting.  It's concerning because justice, according to Islam, could be at odds with justice of non-Islamic societies and people.

In any event. you can see Islam has a written creed for war and fighting against others as outlined briefly by the Islamic societies of Greater Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

It would be helpful to have these two societies in Oklahoma issue a joint statement on this page condemning the 20 years of religious rulings by Yusef Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, allowing the killing of woman and children in Israel and for martyrdom operations there. 

Since some of their associations appear to have connections with or to the Muslim Brotherhood, this needs to be addressed as it conflicts with their war and fighting page.  The Islamic Society of Tulsa even has a link to an explanation about Jihad written by Muslim Brotherhood leader, Jamal Badawi on their website. 

Badawi serves under the chairmanship of Yusef Quaradwi on several Islamic organization and is open about his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood at the Muslim Association of Canada!

Jackie Cooper Imports of Tulsa employee promoted hate-filled Occupation 101

Below is an advertisement for a one-sided, rather hateful, film the Islamic Society of Tulsa showed at their "Know Your Muslim Neighbor" series that was in their August newsletter which I wrote about here. 

In this month's newsletter, there's an ad for Jackie Cooper Imports and their salesperson, Mohi-Dean Alzaiem.   

The phone numbers are the same in both ads.

Somehow, I don't think Greg Kach the owner of Jackie Cooper Imports would be too pleased.

2nd meeting of the Islamic Association of Palestine

Below is a video clip of the 2nd convention of the Islamic Association of Palestine which was held in Kansas City, Mo. This meeting was held during the Christmas holiday in 1989 while most Kansans were enjoying the holidays with their families.

In the video you can see Yusef Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood supreme spiritual leader, speak at the conference praising the recently assisnated Abdullah Azzam, the godfather of Al-Qaeda!  Before Azzam was killed, he spoke all over America.

Qaradawi was banned in 1999 from the U.S. for his hate of Israel and religious rulings approving of martyrdom operations within Israel, including the killing of women and children.  So for 10 years or more these types of meetings were held in American cities.  Their hate and twisted view of life is despicable.

We have to wonder if these types of meetings still occur in some form after this association was shut down.

Qaradawi was banned from the U.S. for his terrorist rulings well before the Islamic Society of Tulsa chose to use his statement in their 9/11/01 newsletter.

Tulsa's Sheryl Siddiqui mentioned in leading Saudi online paper

Saudi Arabia's leading international English language on-line newspaper featured Tulsa's very own Sheryl Siddiqui in her article that was in the Tulsa World about Ramadan which I previously wrote about here and here.  The article also mentioned at the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas linked Islamic Society of North America's annual conference they decided not to "pledge their support" for Barack Obama for fear of hurting his chances to get elected.  I should add what they meant was they've decided not to pledge their support for Obama publicly:

"...In Tulsa, Oklahoma, the local Tulsa World newspaper published a report on Ramadan entitled ‘11 Things You Need to Know About Ramadan,’ in which Sheryl Siddiqui, from the Islamic Society in Tulsa, explained the essence of the month of fasting.

On the first day of Ramadan, in Powell, Ohio, Andre Carson, a Muslim member of US Congress spoke at an Iftar gathering in Indianapolis, Indiana. He encouraged Muslims to take part in the elections. “This is a new day in America. This is a day to be proud as Americans and Muslims,” said Carson, who is the second Muslim to serve in US Congress after Keith Ellison.

Carson visited Ohio to attend the annual conference of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the headquarters of which are based in Plainfield, Indiana. The Indianapolis Star newspaper stated that those attending the conference had decided not to pledge their support for the Democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama, “for fear it could do him harm,” especially that Obama is trying to convince Americans that he is not a Muslim as suspicions about his religious affiliation may hinder his chance of winning the presidential elections.

The first day of Ramadan coincided with the release of Dr Sami al Arian, the Palestinian university professor who was detained for five years in Florida on numerous terrorism charges. However, al Arian will be kept under house arrest and monitored by the police as he awaits the trial that will decide his fate. The director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Nihad Awad, in Washington D.C stated, “After all these difficult years, al Arian’s family will be able to fast the month of Ramadan with him.”

Ten points about the Islamic Society of Tulsa's newest anti-terror statement

For some reason, and possibly for the first time since the horrific tragedy that shattered lives on 9/11/01, the Islamic Society of Tulsa has issued another statement against terrorism today.

...As American Muslims we continue to assert that in no way or form do we condone the horrific attacks on our land, these attacks are not part of the American way and they are not part of the Muslim way. Such condemnable atrocities are not justified in Islam and committing such an unthinkable act goes against the very heart of our Islamic teachings and should never be confused with biased reports and prejudices...

So, the Islamic Society of Tulsa is trying to make a case that it's the fault of biased reporting to link Islam with terrorism.

Below are 10 quick points to ponder about the sincerity of the statement issued by the Shura council of the Islamic Society of Tulsa:

1. The best I can tell, their statement was not issued by the religious leader, the Imam, of the mosque.  BTW, who is the religious leader of their mosque? 

2. Their 9/11/01 newsletter included a statement from terror-supporter and Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusef Qaradawi who had previously issued religious ruling condoning martyrdom in Israel, including the killing of women and children.

3. Affiliated with the Islamic Society of North America.  This organization was named specifically in an internal Muslim Brotherhood document.

4. 2007 partnership with the Council of American Islamic Relations, a outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America. 

5. CAIR came out firmly against our government a mere six days before 9/11 after a raid on Infocom, an Islamic company located in Texas which served many major global Islamic organizations.

6. CAIR's ongoing support for Sami Al-Arian, a convicted terror-enabler of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad doesn't match their anti-terror statement.

7. Had Muslim Brotherhood leader Jamal Badawi represent them as their Quran expert in a debate in January.  

8. August 2007 newsletter:  Dying while fighting for Allah and Islam - a good way to die as a Muslim.

9. November 2007 newsletter:  Jihad - it's just a struggle

Muslim dinner in Oklahoma featured Rep. Keith Ellison

The Edmond Sun published an opinion piece yesterday about a Muslim appreciation dinner where U.S Rep. Keith Ellison and the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was a featured speaker.  The author, William F. O'Brien, an Oklahoma city attorney, also wrote about CAIR this past May.  I'm just a little curious here/  Is he the same William F. O'Brien who works for the Oklahoma Attorney General's office as an Assistant Attorney General and General Counsel, whom I confirmed still works there?

Badawi is on the board of directors (saved web page) of the Muslim Association of Canada ( MAC) a group who states in their preamble their allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood:

"MAC adopts and strives to implement Islam, as embodied in the Qur’an, and the teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and as understood in its contemporary context by the late Imam, Hassan Albanna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood. MAC regards this ideology as the best representation of Islam as delivered by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)."

Badawi: Limits to Muslims and Non-Muslims working together

Jamal Badawi, the official Islamic expert selected by the Islamic Society of Tulsa to debate about Christian/Muslim relations argued there is nothing in the Quran to prevent friendships between the two faiths.

In an article written in 2000 about Muslim and non-Muslims just working together, let alone being friends, Badawi gives us better insight into the truth about the Islamic practices he believes which was missing from his debate. Also missing was full disclosure to the audience of his leadership role in the Muslim Brotherhood and a strong supporter of its ideology of Islamic supremacy, which I've written about in length. 

According to Badawi:

Badawi explains that many Muslim scholars are of the opinion that cooperation with non-Muslims is permissible provided:

1. It is something that is righteous, good and just.

2. Muslims do not compromise their basic principles and stances.

Badawi adds to these conditions:

3. Muslims understand what benefit will come to them as a result of such cooperation.

4. Muslim participation is not being misused to condone a certain group's erroneous beliefs.

Badawi gave an example of how this could happen: if a group of homosexuals hold a rally against secret evidence. While this cause is one both groups agree with, there are drawbacks to this type of cooperation.

"I think one has to think twice before really being party to that," he says. "A Muslim participating in a group like that might be misconstrued as approving of their (homosexuals') particular way of life which we all know is totally against what the Quran and Sunnah teach".

Badawi notes that every situation is unique, and Muslims must carefully weigh the harms and benefits of cooperation before choosing which causes to work with non-Muslims on.

"One has to look into the given situation because there may be some organizations who might have a number of causes, one of which is compatible with Islam, the other is not," he says.
