CAIR-OK issued a press release this afternoon regarding an incident that happened at the Sprint Call Center in Oklahoma City on September 26, 2009.
A customer, allegedly, called the call center and, during the course of the call, asked the customer service rep. their name or was told the name. Then, the customer, allegedly, asked the rep. if he was a Muslim, which he confirmed (I say he because the press release used the words "his supervisor"). Then, the customer, allegedly, said they didn't want to talk to the rep anymore, possibly cursed, and the Sprint rep. hung-up on the customer. A week later the rep. was fired.
CAIR-OK described the customer's call a "hate call" and seeks an apology from Sprint.
Sprint has a policy that no employee can hang-up on a customer, period.

CAIR OK has an internship program that was outlined in their recent on-line request for participants, found at idealist.org,, which includes close monitoring of the media within the state, writing letters-to-the-editor if there is anti-Muslim coverage. CAIR's Oklahoma internship program also includes the opportunity to work with government officials and on projects that include police misconduct, airport racial profiling and cases that include slights such as "prejudiced gesture." Does that mean CAIR-OK would actually go after someone who makes a gesture they deem prejudiced? I'm sorry but I don't know what that even means.
The program involves the updating of a database about abuses in Oklahoma. CAIR-OK goes on to state that the work of interns will be published and featured "as letters to the editor and as perspective pieces in Oklahoma's main newspapers such as the Oklahoman, Tulsa World, as well as community papers, Edmond Sun, Stillwater Newspress, Norman Transcript, City Sentinel, Oklahoma Gazette, and many others."

A former Muslim, who is now an atheist, received death threats after going public about his reason for leaving Islam and his dislike for all religions. This didn't happen in a foreign country but in the middle of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma!
Sabri Husibi, a native of Syria, has lived in the United States for about 10 years. On the 26th of September an interview with him was published by the Tulsa World titled Islamic student turned atheist to speak to group about his long decision to leave Islam and his rejection of all religions.
Then, in a followup interview last Thursday Husibi told the World he received death threats and other angry phone calls which he said were from foreign-born Tulsa area Muslims whom he knew who took offense to his view on Islam.

On Tuesday, the FBI posted their domestic investigation guidelines (DIOG). It only took a day for CAIR, a Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas minion, to ask the Department of Justice and the Obama administration to rethink them:
...The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued that call after the release of a redacted version of the FBI's Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide that whites-out portions (Part 16) about guidance on "undisclosed participation," which relates to the use of confidential informants in American houses of worship such as mosques.
...It is the FBI's use of informants in mosques without probable cause indicating criminal activity that has been of particular concern to the American Muslim community and, in part, caused national Islamic groups earlier this year to consider suspending ties with the FBI.
The FBI, as you recall, suspended ties with CAIR last fall.

William F. O'Brien works for the State of Oklahoma as an attorney in the Oklahoma Attorney General's office. This state employee, once again, wrote an opinion piece that shills for CAIR-OK. CAIR, otherwise known has the Council of American Islamic Relations, sprung from the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, folks. This is an organization that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror-funding case. And CAIR-OK was specifically mentioned in a FBI letter when they broke off ties with the group! We have an attorney in the Oklahoma Attorney General's office that helps advance their Islamic cause or agenda which doesn't seem right, at all.
Earlier this year CAIR-OK's director, Razi Hashmi shilled for Hamas when he said America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s "illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip’s Hamas rulers! He also tried to puts words in the mouth of Oklahomans by saying (halfway down) he thinks they are worried about taxpayer dollars that support Israel! How utterly presumptuous and wrong he was to say that! He even tried to put pressure of U.S. Rep, Mary Fallen to keep her opinions about Israel to herself.
Fallin is running to governor of Oklahoma in 2010.

The EEOC filed a lawsuit in Tulsa, Oklahoma last Wednesday against Abercrombie and Fitch over a hijab discrimination claim:
...In a lawsuit in federal court, the US equal employment opportunity commission said that 18-year-old Samantha Elauf of Tulsa, Oklahoma was turned down for a sales position because her hijab violated Abercrombie & Fitch's "look policy" for sales staff.
...In June 2008 Elauf was interviewed for a position at Abercrombie Kids shop at a shopping mall in Tulsa. Michelle Robertson, an attorney with the commission, said Elauf typically wears a black headscarf but would have been happy to wear a different colour to accommodate the "look policy", but the company barred all such coverings.
"Abercrombie and Fitch should make exceptions to its policy when needed and we don't believe it would be an undue burden on the company," Robertson said.
Update 9/23/09: Time Magazine wrote an article about this case:
The suit says that Abercrombie "failed to accommodate her religious beliefs by making an exception to the Look Policy...According to the EEOC, Elauf got word through a friend, who worked in the store, that the headscarf cost her the job...Elauf is suing for back pay and compensation related to emotional pain and anxiety. "If these allegations are true," says Chuck Thornton, deputy director of the ACLU of Oklahoma, "they are serious. This case could hinge on a jury's interpretation of the phrase "undue hardship." If Abercrombie & Fitch had made an exception of its Look Policy for Elauf — a "reasonable accommodation" — would that move have hurt the Abercrombie brand?...Would shoppers at that Abercrombie Kids store have been so jarred by the hijab that they wouldn't have bought the company's jeans? If the company makes that case, it doesn't think much of the religious tolerance of the good folks of Oklahoma...As for Elauf, she is under attorney's orders to keep quiet about the case. But her grandfather, Ata Elauf, is clearly irked. "They put a wedge into her Americanism," says Elauf. "She grew up here speaking the language, going to school. Why did they do this? She's sort of confused."

Saad Mohammad, a spokesman for the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISOGOC) told the OKGazatte in an article dated September 2, 2009, that white women make up the largest group of converts, or as some Muslims call it, reverts, this past year. Revert means reverting to the first religion even though Judaism and Christianity predates Islam by hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. Some would criticize this as part of Islamic supremacy.
Mohammad also said the growth of Islam in Oklahoma is responsible for the 12 mosques throughout the state.

A telephone survey was commissioned ahead of Constitution Day which is tomorrow by the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, a conservative think tank started by the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. that asked Oklahoma high school students who was the 1st president of the United States. 77% could not answer that basic question!
The Oklahoma City-based think tank enlisted national research firm, Strategic Vision, to access students' basic civic knowledge.Students were given 10 questions drawn from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services item bank. Candidates for U.S. citizenship must answer six questions correctly in order to become citizens.
The pass rate was only 2.8%! This is most disturbing.
Update 9/18/09: Local talk radio in Tulsa and other media are expressing doubt about this survey's accuracy suggesting it was politically motivated or that it since was administered by telephone the unfamiliar format was probably the reason the kids didn't give it their best shot.
I do know that Oklahoma schools have been rated poorly in the past so to simply dismiss this survey would be a mistake. And the Tulsa World reported last month that in 2007, only 58.2 percent of Tulsa Public Schools students graduated in four years. For Oklahoma City, the figure was 56.2 percent. There are serious problems with education in Oklahoma.

Oklahomans might be interested to learn about some controversial workshops that are taking place at churches in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. These are also happening all across America.
First, a quick review about Saul Alinsky (1909-1972) is in order. He is the controversial granddaddy of leftist/progressive community organizing from Chicago. Critics claim he was a marxist or a communist but I can't confirm these allegations. He denied he was a communist when asked in a 1972 Playboy interview but he claimed they helped blacks and Okies in the 1930s, among others, and offered that he worked in close alliance with them!
The goal of his political ideology, whatever it might have been, was written about in his 1971 book titled "Rules for Radicals," a manual for in-your-face community organizing by which groups work to gain power - the ultimate goal. You might find it troubling that he dedicated his book to Lucifer, the Christian name for the devil. These rules outlined in the link include the relentless use of ridicule which Alinsky claimed is man's most potent weapon! Ridiculing the opponent is meant to shut them up and he claimed impossible to counterattack. Pick your target, personalize it, polarize it and freeze it, he said. It's similar to the racist accusations being spewed constantly by leftist media shills, such as CNN and its on-air guests, at Americans who are against the bigger government and massive public debt President Obama is moving our country towards. So daily, we see the left employ this disdainful tactic which has gone on for years now.
Some believe President Obama learned a lot from this man's ideology, including Alinsky's own son. And, of course, you knew that Hilliary Clinton wrote her 1969 college thesis (pdf file) about him, right? This thesis was apparently sealed from the public during her husband's presidency.
David Alinsky, wrote a letter-to-the-editor August 8, 2008, published online at Boston.com about Obama and the DNC:
"...Barack Obama's training in Chicago by the great community organizers is showing its effectiveness. It is an amazingly powerful format, and the method of my late father always works to get the message out and get the supporters on board. When executed meticulously and thoughtfully, it is a powerful strategy for initiating change and making it really happen. Obama learned his lesson well..."
Alinsky started the Industrial Areas Foundation in 1940. Its chief purpose is to guess what? Gain power which is blatantly stated on their about page. Its end product is social change. The IAF website has scrubbed Alinsky's name from its website. Today their about page states:
"...The IAF is indeed a radical organization in this specific sense: it has a radical belief in the potential of the vast majority of people to grow and develop as leaders, to be full members of the body politic, to speak and act with others on their own behalf. And IAF does indeed use a radical tactic: the face-to-face, one-to-one individual meeting whose purpose is to initiate a public relationship and to re-knit the frayed social fabric..."
Below is a screen shot of Wikipedia's page on IAF:
I took this screen shot today because Wikipedia may make changes as they did to Saul Alinsky's page that described him as a communist writer, recently. You can't retrieve archived pages of Wikipedia, for some reason, so a snapshot is the next best way.
IAF has formed around 50 church-based, interfaith and interracial organizations across America. But what does Saul Alinsky and IAF have to do with Oklahoma, you ask? Well, they are building a network in our state.
Kris Ausdenmoore is the hired coordinator in Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Sponsoring Committee which was formed by the Industrial Areas Foundation! She is a member of the St. Thomas More University Parish in Norman, (see Sooner Catholic August 30th newsletter page 6 - note the pdf file is not available but today the html version is online, for now). Ausdenmoore offices out of Sacred Heart in South Oklahoma City.
Screen shot taken today of Our Seminarians August 30, 2008 newsletter page 6:
On September 27th at the Mayflower Church in Oklahoma City, IAF will be holding a community organizing workshop! Other such workshops may have also taken place in Oklahoma City, like at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Screen shot taken today should the link about disappear or the content changed:
Mark Bledsoe is the chair of the board of trustees at Mayflower Church on NW 63rd street, an unapologetic liberal church as stated at the bottom of their home page. Bledsoe also serves on Putnam City School Board and is the executive director of the United Suburban School Association.
Mayflower's "about page" states: "We take the Bible seriously, not literally, and believe that in our time the church must recover, above all, its radical hospitality -- welcoming all persons into her midst, without regard to race, age, gender, sexual orientation, or physical abilities. Hospitality radical? I had no clue.
A screen shot of the Oklahoma Sponsoring Committee website is below. Note it states it is an affiliate of IAF, in the pop up window that appeared when you move your mouse around. Their website also tries to dispel any concerns about IAF, Alinsky, communism and so on, as you can see on the right.
We "Okies" probably would never have thought it possible that a Saul Alinksky far-left progressive community organizing workshop would be held at any church in Oklahoma. Afterall, we'd would like to think our local newspapers would bring this to our attention, right? Wrong.
The Tulsa Beacon did write about this on April 16th in an article titled The wolves are at the door:
OFPC (Oklahoma Family Policy Council) reported that at least 25 Oklahoma City-area churches, through November, 2008, have agreed to pay between $1,500 and $7,500 each year to align themselves with the OKC Metropolitan Area Interfaith Sponsoring Committee. The purpose of such alignment is for the churches to participate in Congregation Based Community Organizing (CBCO), an innocuous-sounding Oklahoma project of the Chicago-based Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF)...OKC organizers hope that as many as 40 local churches will eventually join the CBCO effort, and IAF expects to have 5,000 “home meetings” by the end of 2009.
Great reporting job, Beacon! The major newspapers in Oklahoma, though, are insidiously missing in action.
And newspapers wonder why they are losing money.

A Muslim member of President Obama's Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, Dalia Mogahed, issued in a press release yesterday regarding the 9/11 Day of Service that was proclaimed by the president. In this release Mogahed said, "...After eight years of feeling under siege, Muslim Americans are now leading a movement to lift up others and serve their communities with reverence..."
Here they, the left and their partners, go again with the usual President Bush slam making him the undeniable enemy of Muslims and the U.S. when , in fact, it was he who went out of his way to separate the religious ideology of Islamists and terrorists from Muslims who simply follow spiritual Islam. It was Bush who also spent 8 years cleaning up the some of the terrorist network and funding mechanisms in the U.S. Shame on Mogahed. Shame.
Back in 2002, President Bush issued a proclamation declaring Sept. 11 to be Patriot Day every year. But President Obama apparently is trying to trump this dec;aration by declaring this a day of service even though we already have a national day of service on Martin Luther King Day, on the third Monday of January. So is it still Patriot Day, too? I'm so confused.
In any event, it appears there are Muslims eager to help turn the 9/11 anniversary into a day of service which they seem to want to own. This service initiative, according to Mogahed was in the works all summer:
Muslim-Americans Answer the Call (MAAC) is taking part in the first official September 11 Day of Service and Remembrance, a day established by President Obama and Congress to honor the sacrifices of 9/11 heroes, and engage more Americans in serving their communities. Over the course of the summer of service, culminating on September 11, Muslim-American volunteer groups carried out more than 3,000 days of service in communities across the United States. Muslims' enthusiastic response to the President's service initiative challenges popular assumptions -- and fears-- that Muslim Americans, a relatively devout religious community, are self isolating and indifferent to the needs of their fellow citizens.
..."Muslim Americans Answer the Call is the true embodiment of the President's call for change," said Dalia Mogahed. "Muslim-American volunteerism this summer demonstrates the community's desire to positively contribute to our country."
One slight problem, though, on the Muslim website MuslimServe website they show 3003 service projects have been completed already but the link to "view all" does not work, at this time. It would be so nice to see where these 3000+ community services took place.
Are you wondering if there is a comparable ChristianServe website? Well, this google search turned up none.
UPDATE 9/14/09: Still no link to view all the services performed.

'What Islam is' by Dalia Mogahed
"... This month's commemoration will, in fact, be an occasion for many Muslims to say to citizens of the United States that, contrary to what some people say, "we do not hate you".
"...For example, when the president signed a bill to help reduce the use of tobacco, Muslims were among the leaders invited to witness the signature in the White House," Mogahed points out. "When the president hosted a town-hall meeting on the importance of fatherhood, Muslim leaders were among those present. When the president signed a bill to ban all forms of torture, a coalition of faith leaders, including Muslims, was there to see it happen."
Mogahed adds that members of the administration are also much more accessible to the Muslim community than they were during the Bush administration. "One simple example is that of Valerie Jarrett, one of Obama's closest advisors and most senior officials, who addressed the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America over the 4th of July weekend. She was the first White House official in history to address it."

One of the two women they interviewed for the article, Allison Moore, was a featured speaker for Tulsa Truthers twice in 2007! You know, these are the people who think 9/11 was an inside job. I believe she was introduced as a fellow Tulsa Truth member in the January video. Towards the end of her talk someone questions her about the possibility that perhaps the planes may have been steered by remote control... Moore replies; Yeah, -- the air force -- said it absolutely impossible -- to fly a plane at that -- angle -- into the Pentagon.
And let's not forget that the Islamic Society of Tulsa and CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, honored Tulsa Truth in August 2007!
On August 25th, 2007, the three founders of TulsaTruth were recognized at The Goodwill Appreciation Awards Dinner sponsored by the Islamic Society of Tulsa & CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations, Oklahoma Chapter). With approx. 200 people in attendance, Joe Picorale, John Fanning and Jim Robinson were honored along with 22 other distinguished honorees for their contribution in promoting peace, goodwill and a greater understanding of mainstream Muslim beliefs.
Allison Moore, nominated TulsaTruth.org and read the following to all in attendance.
"Since September 11th few Americans have heard the voice of mainstream Muslims. TulsaTruth is an organization of concerned citizens who take time out from their professional careers to meet month at the library. They educate the public about a variety of issues including the events of 9/11, the war in Iraq, civil liberties, and patriotism. In their quest for truth they have given Tulsa Muslims a forum to voice their views, actions and reactions to the horrific events of September 11th. They have given us a platform to educate the public and communicate the message that main steam Muslims were equally offended and distraught over the horrific day and that there is no place in Islam for such acts of terrorism.
In addition to educating the public, they have placed our public speeches on their website and youtube for viewing, and they have opened up the doors to additional education through Libertarian Talk Radio and the Rotary Club. During a time when mass media so often focuses on the shocking events of the day and fails to give main steam Muslims a say, we would like to thank you John, thank you Joe and thank you Jim from the bottom of our hearts for providing us a public forum!"
On behalf of all members of TulsaTruth.org, we are truly humbled by this award and appreciate our friendships with the local Muslim community.
The Tulsa World interviewed only two women for this article, while all the photos shown in their nifty slide-show featured only men. Apparently, men and women pray separately as do more fundamentalist Muslims such as in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam.

President Bush surprised the town of Woodward, Oklahoma by accepting their invitation to help them celebrate the 4th of July.
But, one resident of this town is not happy about the former president's visit. Warren Henthorn expressed his displeasure in a letter-to-the-editor published in the Tulsa World. In 2005, he lost his son, Jeffrey S. Henthorn, in Iraq to suicide on his 2nd tour of duty (PBS video), which wasn't mentioned in his letter. Mr. Henthorn did write that Iraq a war of choice and that our economic problems are because of it.
But was Iraq really a war of choice?
In November 1998, a United States District Court in New York federal grand jury indicted Osama Bin Laden for his long-term conspiracy to attack American interests and citizens.
Count 4 of the indictment reads:
4. Al Qaeda also forged alliances with the National Islamic Front in the Sudan and with the government of Iran and its associated terrorist group Hezballah for the purpose of working together against their perceived common enemies in the West, particularly the United States. In addition, al Qaeda reached an understanding with the government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the Government of Iraq.
This indictment came a couple years before President Bush took office. Earlier that same year President Bill Clinton spoke about the dangers of Iraq (video).
I'm just throwing some facts out there that pointed to Iraq as a problem way before President Bush took office.
Update 7/4/09: The Tulsa World did an article on this yesterday and then republished it again today where they featured Mr. Henthorn and another dad who also lost his son. These men believe former President Bush and his administration bear some blame for their son's death.

A little over three years ago the division between President Bush and the left was probably the greatest when it came to his handling of Islamic terrorism. Here we all were facing the same enemy; Al-Qaeda, its supporters and affiliates and instead of showing a strong united front to combat the Islamist/jihadist network that wanted to destroy our country the left made President Bush the arch bad guy. How our enemies must have rejoiced as this played out in the American press, month after month.
Who was right? What I found over the next three years wasn't what I wanted or expected to find. Frankly, I would have preferred to have any concerns about the nature of our enemy dispelled and gone back to my normal life of not thinking much about it anymore. But that didn't happen. My search for answers eventually led to the creation of this blog in June of 2007.
All that aside, never in my wildest thoughts did I expect some of this research to led me into parts of the Muslim community in Oklahoma. Never.
I learned the Muslim Brotherhood had weapon training sessions and/or camps in Oklahoma back in the 80s which was one of the earliest indications of Islamist influence in this state ( FBI Muslim Brotherhood document, page 16). A video clip of Abdullah Azzam from a documentary called "Jihad in America," which aired on PBS in 1994, identifies a speech he gave in Oklahoma City in 1988 to many of our Muslim neighbors. Azzam was the mentor to Osama Bin Laden and a long-term member of the Muslim Brotherhood! A year later he was assassinated and Bin Laden's group morphed into Al-Qaeda. Azzam was praised as a martyr in a 2007 Al-Qaeda produced video that is still on YouTube!
When I discovered that a CNN reporter accidentally happened onto an Islamist/jihadist convention in Oklahoma City attended by thousands of Oklahoma Muslims in 1992, I was speechless:
"...I actually stumbled across it quite by accident. In December 1992 I was a correspondent with CNN and on assignment in Oklahoma City to do some interviews on another subject entirely. On Christmas Day I found myself with nothing to do. While looking for a fast-food restaurant, I passed a convention center where I saw thousands of Muslims dressed in traditional garb congregating in the streets and entering the center. At first, my own ignorance led me to think they might be extras on a movie set.
When I went inside, I discovered what was really going on. Radical groups were openly declaring themselves to be Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Hizbullah, and even Gama'a Islamiya (Omar Abdel Rahman's group in Egypt). They made absolutely no effort to hide their identity or their agendas. Just going to the stalls I collected a phenomenal amount of material, some of which I have subsequently showed on national television. Alarmed, I called a FBI official in Washington to see if it was aware of their existence. I was even more shocked to discover the FBI did not know this conference was taking place..."
What this reporter saw at this convention changed his career and life forever. Today, Steve Emerson is an investigative reporter and a leading anti-terrorism expert who shares his knowledge in testimony to Congress and is the executive director the Investigative Project. His critics offer little by way of proof to discredit him such as in a 2007 article by Ahmed Rehab of CAIR-Chicago that linked backed to CAIR's own page on Emerson, which has since been removed (see IP address)! How can you take CAIR's criticism of him seriously when their documentation to back up their claims doesn't exist?
Back in 1993, Osama bin Laden's pilot, Ihab Ali Nawawi, actually received his commercial pilot license at the Airman Flight School in Norman, Oklahoma! A few years later in 1998, the FBI in Oklahoma City warned of concerns about a large number of Middle Eastern men taking pilot training in Oklahoma could be related to "planned terrorist activity."but the memo was never sent to Washington.
Then there's the stone-walled investigation into the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing about possible or coincidental Middle East connections by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher that is still out there trapped in some kind of political limbo. As a result, I started a page title "Islam in Oklahoma - mixed signals" in 2007. That's the same year the Islamic Society of Tulsa brought in Jamal Badawi, who is a known Muslim Brotherhood leader and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror-funding trial, to represent them as their Quranic expert in a very public debate. Badawi approves of Islamic martyrdom to combat aggression or oppression which follows the Islamist mindset. My web-page on Islam in Oklahoma has now grown to 15 pages and highlights a number of mixed signals received from some of our Muslim neighbors and leaders. By no means is it complete. Are these signals unique only to the state of Oklahoma? Somehow, I doubt it.
"Islam in Oklahoma" will continue to be a work in progress that is full of twist and turns that would make a great novel, except it's real.
Note: zTruth knows there a many, many thousands of fine Muslims in America who simply want to practice their religion who also strongly reject Islamism, or the pursuit of Islamic rule and/or supremacy. This would include Islamic hegemony organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), the OIC and their affiliates in the U.S. I praise American Muslims who actually take a stand on this issue like Dr. Zuhdi Jassar of Arizona.
When a Muslim or Islamic group professes their strong community service and interfaith goals in cities and towns all across America, but then has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood - it's disturbing.
If you find I've made a mistake, don't hesitate a minute to send me an e-mail (ztruth@ymail.com) with a credible proof source to back up your claim where I made a mistake. Upon confirmation your source is accurate and I did make a mistake, I will make any and all corrections. So far no one has done so.

From NewsOK:
"...On Thursday, thousands of black-clad pro-Mousavi demonstrators in Iran mourned those killed in clashes, as similar gatherings surfaced around the globe.
In Oklahoma City, about three dozen people sang, shouted and held up signs bearing slogans like "election, not selection” and "we stand by our brothers and sisters.”
"Our leaders have asked us to be quiet, and to wear something green,” said Sahar Noor, an event organizer and University of Oklahoma student.
Green signified Mousavi and reform, while Ahmadinejad adopted the Iranian flag during the recent election, Noor said.
"It’s become this unifying thing that people are wearing,” she said.

Jerome Norvell Denson received a very light sentence on Monday for attempting mass murder last fall which was stopped by Highway Patrol Trooper, Sheldon Robinson, who just happened to be nereby.
Five years with an addition two to run concurrently? OK, he will be out in 2 or 2 1/2 years.
The religious ideology he had such as praying to Allah to help him complete his mission of mass murder, which trooper Robinson heard, is straight out of the jihadist playbook. He wasn't judged to be mentally impaired or incompetent that I can tell although that's what he claims. He also said he was just looking at the gun on the table in the Burger King. Right.
Did Denson just come up with this religious ideology all on his own? We will never know.
This case was treated as a simple criminal matter, which can be a mistake. For example, the killing of two Israelis at the L.A. International Airport in 2002 was initially treated as a criminal matter but an investigation later concluded it was a terrorist act:
"...They characterized the shooting as an act of terrorism because Hadayet espoused anti-Israeli views and was opposed to U.S. policy in the Middle East, the sources said. "He wanted to be a martyr and take as many people with him as possible," one source said..."

Former President Jimmy Carter said on Thursday, ahead of his meeting with Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal (Mishal, Mish’al, or Khalid Abdulqader), that the terrorist group must be included in any peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians. But first, he said Hamas and the Palestinian Authority must reconcile.
So once again Jimmy Carter is standing up for the terrorist group Hamas, while, at the same time, acknowledging the splintered leadership for the Palestinians don't even get along.
Khaled Mashaal is the half brother of former Oklahoman Mufid Abdulqader who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in helping fund the terrorist organization last month.

This is the full Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper dashcam video of the scuffle with an ambulance crew on May 24th in Oklahoma. On Friday night, OHP released the full video after Fox 23 in Tulsa filed an open records request.
I don't know about you but the trooper appears to have had a very bad attitude.

Marjan Seirafi-Pour, the chair of the controversial Oklahoma Governors Ethnic American Advisory Council. has been appointed to a three year term on the Oklahoma State Textbook Committee by Governor Brad Henry. This committee has a major role in selecting what textbooks our children study in school.
This appointment was not announced in any local newspapers that I could find. But it was featured in the National Iranian American Council:
"...Her involvement began after her youngest daughter came home from school asking why, an old video her teacher showed in class differed so greatly from the Iran she traveled to. The video, with images of goat herders and dirt roads, is obviously a narrow view of a country that also boasts skyscrapers and marble condominiums. This lack of accurate representation in American schools was disturbing to Seirafi-Pour. She began her journey to update the school’s media by speaking to teachers, then principles, and eventually to the Governor of Oklahoma.
Oklahoma's Governor, Brad Henry, seized upon Mrs. Seirafi-Pour’s passion for improving the value of student education and knowledge of Iranian culture by nominating her to the Oklahoma Textbook Committee. She advised other Iranian-American parents to be persistent and to “not get angry when you see wrong information.” Mrs. Seirafi-Pour emphasized that it is very important to talk to the school officials and teachers to express whatever concerns one has. With “persistent communication, eventually you will be able to make changes...”

Have you ever wondered what states have the highest per capita state taxes?
Vermont is the highest with each person paying $3,600 per year. Next is Hawaii followed by Wyoming, Connecticut, and Minnesota, according to the U.S. Census Bureau for 2005.
What prompted me to look into this was a statement made by a Fox News commentator who said how come the highest taxed states are in the worst financial shape referring to New York and California. But this is incorrect. Per capita California is ranked 10 and New York 11th so they are not the highest taxed states.
Oklahoma ranks 35th at $1,933.00!

Jerome Norvell Denson was stopped by Trooper Sheldon Robinson September 5, 2008 as he was in the process of loading his gun and praying to Allah for help to complete his mission to kill as many people as he could inside a south Tulsa Burger King. According to the first arrest record for him, he was a known danger to the community (scroll to 10/6/2008 entry).
No newspaper in Oklahoma carried the story at the time of the incident.
Nor did any newspaper carry the story when Denson pled guilty on May 8th (scroll to bottom of page). that I can find. He will be sentenced June 15th.
Trooper Robinson was named Trooper of the Year on April 4, 2009 for his bravery and quick action.

Last night Channel 8 News had a very moving story on Tulsa's Wayman Tisdale done by local sport anchor Chris Lincoln (watch the video ). I had to fight back tears throughout the story. It was a wonderful tribute to this man, his character, his struggles with his health and his family. Mr. Tisdale played for OU and the NBA.
This morning, Mr. Tisdale, 44, passed away at St. Johns Medical Center.
God rest his soul.

Razi Hashmi, the Oklahoma director for CAIR, an outgrowth of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America, posted on his blog on May 2nd an article from the News&Observer in North Carolina that 20,000 DVDs about Islam titled "A Fog is Lifting" were mailed to the citizens in 3 zip codes in Wake County. But there's so much more to this story than meets the eye.
The Raleigh chapter of the the Muslim American Society took responsibility for its distribution which was an attempt to counter the distribution of the DVD Obssession.
"It's a full-throated defense of the tradition in which Islam is presented as the perfect egalitarian, scientific, pluralistic, modern religion that doesn't have the flaws of all the other religions," said Omid Safi, a professor of religion at UNC-Chapel Hill. "It remains to be seen if it will be seen as preaching to the choir, or if will succeed in persuading people outside the Muslim community, " the paper wrote.
Here is where it gets interesting. The DVDs were created by Bridges Foundation which is based in Egypt and headed by Fadel Soliman.
What the newspaper failed to tell its readers is that Fadel Soliman use to live in the United States until the organization where he worked as the national Imam and/or director, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth America (WAMY), was raided and closed down by the FBI in 2004. One could speculate the FBI bought Soliman a one-way ticket out of the U.S. but I can't confirm this really happened. But he sure doesn't live in America anymore.
WAMY in America was founded by the nephew of Osama Bin Laden! His former residence was located in the Washington suburb of Falls Church, Virginia, just a few blocks from where four of the 9/11 hijackers lived, according to discoverthenet.
From discoverthenet:
"The World Assembly of Muslim Youth is also one of the vehicles through which the Saudi Wahhabi government funds Islamic extremism and international terrorism. WAMY was co-founded by Kamal Helwabi, a former senior member of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, and by Osama bin Laden'snephew, Abdullah bin Laden(who served as WAMY's President through 2002 and is now its Treasurer). WAMY raises funds for the terrorist group Hamas, and in October 2002 made Hamas leader Khaled Mash'alan "honored guest" at a Muslim youth and globalization conference held in Riyadh. WAMY also helps finance the Kashmir insurgency against India, characterizing it as a "liberation" movement..."
Discoverthenet provides links to help build some the documentation necessary to back up what they write. I added a number of other links below that will also help you see what happened with WAMY.
Shame on the News&Observer for failing to provide more background and context to their story.

In the city all alone
Just drifting getting stoned...
excerpt from "You Talk to Me Like Winter Rain"
by Arlin James Benjamin
On May 5th, blogger Red Stater wrote about an Oklahoma blog TheMahatmaXFiles (saved webpage). This blogger actually used his own name in the URL (ajbenjaminjrbeta.blogspot.com) so, duh, it wasn't hard for Stater or anyone else to find out about him.
Arlin James Benjamin, Jr. is a college professor at the Oklahoma Panhandle State University who teaches young impressionable college-age students as a "new generation scholar-activist" who says he gets some of his inspiration from a few controversial men you should review. (update 5/10/09, Benjamin removed the webpage linked about so now the link is an archived page)
Under the personal section on his home page that is linked to from the above website, he wrote:
"I am part of a new generation of a scholar-activists, in my case inspired by such diverse individuals as Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, Edward Said, and Ward Churchill (among others). I also draw inspiration from my family's working class and agricultural roots, as well as my own first-hand experiences with various forms of prejudice and its harmful effects. As an undergraduate at Cal State Fullerton I was involved in the Coalition Against Apartheid and Human Rights Violations as well as the Young Democrats, and was among those who spoke out against the 1991 Gulf War at a speakers' forum on the eve of what has become an on-going US campaign of genocide in Iraq. During my undergraduate years I was also part of an informal consortium of individuals engaged in counter-recruitment efforts aimed at removing the ROTC program as an undergrad. (note, the links to info about these men added by z).
Thank you Red Stater for your research into X file.
He wrote a research paper in 2006 titled: "The relationship between right-wing authoritarianism and attitudes toward violence: Further validation of the Att itudes Toward Violence Scale" You can read it here where you are encouragedto share, print, recommend or vote on it! Professor Arlin James Benjanmin stated in the discussion section:
"War, corporal punishment, and harsh punishment for lawbreakers are all forms of aggression sanctioned by right-wing authority figures in government, religious institutions, and the mass media..."
OK, professor, it's all the rightwing's fault. That's nothing new because it's alwaysthe rightwing's fault when it comes to the far-left in our country. Why did he spend money on research when the man already knew the answer?
Benjamin also said he is a dj for KPSU 91.7 FM in the Oklahoma Panhandle. I sure hope this post doesn't put a crimp in any of his gigs.
Anyway, this professor took issues with Red Stater's take on him which I'm not going to weigh in on except to say Benjamin claims he is anti-partisan but his work with the Young Democrats in college and his own self description of being an anti-war, anti torture, anti-capitalist individual seems clearly to the left and far-left of the partisan scale.
Benjamin's blog is the featured progressive blog, on American Samizdat where he wrote the following:
"...A mishap moving from "old" to "new" blogger, a new blog (--) and on regime change in the US later, and here I am. I'm mainly up to my old tricks - anti-partisan, antiwar, anti-torture, and anti-capitalist to the core. Now that we're into the age of Obama, we need a functioning samizdat more than ever. Stay tuned, y'all."
On the side bar of this blog it reads:
Underground word lines for propaganda-heavy US.
Samizdat? Well according to Wikipedia, "Samizdat (Russian: самиздат) was a key form of dissident activity across the Soviet-bloc; individuals reproduced uncensored publications by hand and passed the documents from reader to reader, thus building a foundation for the successful resistance of the 1980s."
Apparently, Benjamin fells more compelled to speak out now that President Obama is in the White House. To me, and this is only my opinion, Benjamin appears to be a far-left, pro-Islamist, self-proclaimed anti-capitalist whose blogroll includes sites such as American Leftist, The Angry Arab News Service, The Arabist, pro-Islamist Informed Comment (Juan Cole), The Left Coaster, Muslim Unity, my occupied territory, Red State Rebels, Ward Churchill Solidarity Network and the Unrepentant Marxist, to name a few (these links are found on the saved webpage above)
"I Occasionally Appear On These Fine Blogs," X filer added on the left sidebar:
On capitalism, Benjamin writes:
"The propaganda that I recall from my school days went something like this: capitalism is so much better than any of its alternatives because in a capitalist system, only those who succeed reap the spoils. Presumably, in socialist or communist systems, there was no motivation to succeed - one in a position of leadership simply got rewarded regardless of whether or not he/she was successful. Made for a nice story to tell the kids. Just one little problem: it wasn't true then and it sure as hell isn't true now.
...Now the cats that run Huffington Post and Newshoggers are far from anticapitalist - think of them as liberal capitalist reformers. Leave the anticapitalism to cats like me..."
Yep, it's clear, Oklahoma has a leftwing self-described scholarly activist teaching some of our young adults.

Update 5/9/09: I see that Benjamin is in the process of changing his URL from his own name to his blog's X-file name. He has, apparently, removed his blog from Blog Net News, at least for now.
While perusing his babblings about this post I noticed he also links to the follow anarchist sites:
Update 5/10/09: A comment was made by MX who accused me, as Dr. Benjamin did on his blog, of cyber-stalking. Guess what MX's IP address is? The Oklahoma State Regents office in Oklahoma City! It could also be the network at the Oklahoma Panhandle State University - a state funded college. Is that you Dr. Benjamin?

Cyber stalking is defined by Wikipeida as the use of information and communications technology, particularly the Internet, by an individual or group of individuals, to harass another individual, group of individuals, or organization. The behavior includes false accusations, monitoring, the transmission of threats, identity theft, damage to data or equipment, the solicitation of minors for sexual purposes, and gathering information for harassment purposes.
However, if one calls attention to what Dr. Benjamin publicly wrote about himself on his blog that he publishedon Blog Net News is that cyber stalking?
I don't think so.
Update 5/12/09: I received a "cease and desist" e-mail from Professor Benhamin. BTW, his email has been submitted to a database that tracks these types of threatening letters.
"In your post found here (http://tinyurl.com/raffn6) you uploaded and published files that were not your intellectual property, without first seeking written permission from the appropriate copyright owners. Those include a photo (http://ztruth.typepad.com/.a/6a00e00986be4d883301156f82ac83970c-pi), a journal article (http://ztruth.typepad.com/files/benjamin.pdf), and the template and front page content of my now defunct blog (http://ztruth.typepad.com/TheMahatmaXFilesurlchange.htm). Furthermore, you commit libel in violation of TypePad's terms of service by labelling me as "pro-Islamist" - a claim that can easily be proven FALSE, and which I would gladly testify to that effect in a court of law. I am asking you to please remove the items mentioned above immediately, and to cease and desist. Disagreement and debate are one thing - copyright theft and libel are quite another.
Please be aware that I am also in the process of contacting your provider, TypePad regarding the TOS violations found on your blog, as well as contacting the publisher of the journal article that you chose to publish without permission.
Also note that you are NOT given permission to publish the content of this email, email address, or any information from the email headers. Failure to comply with this request will also be forwarded to TypePad, and to my attorney."

OETA, the public TV station in Oklahoma, aired a 30 minute program today concentrating primarily on the recently released DHS report on rightwing extremism. Both guests, David Cid who is the Interim Director of the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) in Oklahoma City and Kerry Pettingill the Director of the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security agreed with the DHS report. The political bent of the program was apparent and not supported by the latest FBI terrorism report. Their innuendos were clear.
The host of the show referenced a recent report by MIPT that stated Oklahoma is one of the three hotspots in the country for rightwing extremist activism. He then mentioned that the Southern Poverty Law Center identified 19 groups in the state. But he forgot to mention that not all the groups identified were rightwing. Unfortunately, the MIPT report is not linked at the OETA website about the program nor could I find it on the MIPT website, or by google search.
Let's take a minute to look over the latest FBI report on terrorism covering the years 2002-2005, which can be found on the MIPT website.
The FBI report concluded: "The preceding summary of terrorism-related events and investigations offers a picture of the FBI’s response to domestic and international terrorism from 2002 through 2005. ...Twenty three of the 24 recorded terrorist incidents were perpetrated by domestic terrorists. With the exception of white supremacist Sean Michael Gillespie’s firebombing of a synagogue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, all of the domestic terrorist incidents were committed by special interest extremists active in the animal rights and environmental movements." Leftwing, folks. The lone rightwing incident took place in Oklahoma during this time span. Gillespie was sentenced to 39 years in prison and was from the Spokane, Washington area. Similarly, Timothy McVeigh who bombed the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 was not from Oklahoma.
Looking at the year 2005, the latest year available, which starts on page 28 of the FBI report, three men were convicted for their separate criminal actions, two dated back to 1996 and 1998 that were rightwing related (highlighted in red). I didn't see any domestic terror plot or activity that involved the arrest of a rightwing extremist for 2005.

On Sunday, May 3rd, the public educational TV channel in Oklahoma, will air a program on the newly released DHS assessment on rightwing extremism:
"On Oklahoma Forum on Sunday, May 3rd, we discuss the new U.S. Department of Homeland Security assessment on rightwing extremism and the reaction to it, and the broader issue of threats posed by extremist groups in Oklahoma and across the nation.."
The program will include David Cid, Interim Executive Director, Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism and a former FBI Counter-terrorism agent and Kerry Pettingill, Director, Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security.
The timing of this program coincides within days of a Newsweek (owned by Washington Post Company) article titled: "Rebranding Hate in the Age of Obama. Pictured: Hate's new look according to Newsweek.
"...Indoctrination often starts on the Internet. Some crazies posting on MySpace, for instance, have called for armed revolution; at least one has referred to Barack Obama --. But many leaders of white-supremacist groups and Web forums are toning down their rhetoric...
...The ADL's Mark Pitcavage says it is very difficult to track hate-group numbers because the organizations often splinter. What he tries to track is anger levels, and those, he warns, are rising—despite any superficial sweet talk: "The white-supremacist movement has been at red-hot anger levels for a long time. When I get concerned is when they get to white hot, where you see large bomb plots or talk about race wars..."
First, how dare Newsweek use a child's picture in this manner. This child was under the influence of an adult and cannot be held accountable. It turns my stomach.
Is the left-leaning media using their platform and political agenda to steer the public away from Islamic terrorism to make rightwing extremism the main focus? The number of Islamic terrorism cases are relatively the same since 2001 based on a quick perusal of my own personal trackings (see link below), which is not scientific, of course.
When I googled "extremist trial" right wing or "right wing extremism trial" or "right wing extremist trial" or even "right wing extremist arrest" nothing comes up, as of this writing! Could it be I'm just not using the "right" google search words?
I abhor extremism of any kind but need to see some concrete documentation of arrests and prosecutions for all the accusations being leveled against rightwing extremists.

Dave over at Oklahoma Lefty is not happy with zTruth's action alert about about Janeane Garafalo (pictured right).
Considering, left-leaning organizations, like the ACLU and others, team up regularly with Islamist organizations to put political pressure on politicians and others, my humble attempt to counter Garafalo verbal attack on regular citizens exercising their right to assemble seemed rather tame. But Dave took great offense.
Before I wrote this, I thought long and hard over the last several days whether to respond to his attack or not. I decided to respond. Dave, who was a former contributor at oklahomapunkscene, obviously has not really read zTruth or he would have known for starters that I am a "she" and not a "he".
From Oklahoma Lefty:
"...The irony here is that much of what this blogger posts is hateful and could be viewed as bigoted (especially when it comes to Muslims), yet as soon as someone of the other political persuasion gives back the same type of garbage that he and people like Michael Savage spew on a daily basis, he is up in arms and ready to protest this person’s employer..."
So, Dave claims I'm hateful and bigoted and only spews garbage without offering up one concrete example. Not one. Isn't credibility important to him?
When I questioned him on this on his blog he wrote:
"zTruth – Wow…over inflated self importance much? I will admit that I rarely read your blog because of the insidious and hate filled headlines that I see on BNN on a daily basis. It is pretty safe to say that, on the surface at least, you do not like Muslims and if you are not flat-out bigoted towards them you seem to at least harbor and great fear of them. As far as my “credibility as a blogger” is concerned I’m not worried about it. Unlike some I don’t have delusions of grandeur about what we as bloggers do. We are a bunch of wangs who talk noise on the computer. Some are respectful to those of differing views and some just talk shit. I know where I stand."
Dave is obviously unaware, I call attention to Muslims I admire such as Dr. Juhdi Zasser of American Islamic Forum for Democracy and others who works tirelessly to alert Americans about the danger of Islamism.
When Razi Hashmi, of CAIR-Oklahoma stood up for the terrorist organization, Hamas, I offered, for example, the article in which he is quoted as saying "America should take immediate steps to end Israel’s"illegal and immoral” offensive against the Gaza Strip Hamas rulers." Is it bigoted or hateful when I called attention to his quote? I think not. Did Hashmi shill for Hamas by his statement? I think so.
Dave went on to say he felt too many liberals and conservatives rant on with horrible behaviors, which I do agree. On the conservative side Ann Coulter or Michael Savage comes to mind. They go over the top and are an embarrassment and I cringe whenever they speak. Is what they say or do any different from liberals who attack others? I don't think so.
When did all this bickering start anyway?
This type of attack behavior was clear today when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was asked about the release of interrogation memos that showed the results of such interrogations. She replied that former Vice President Cheney was not viewed as a reliable source. The Secretary of State called a former vice president a liar for actions taken after the worst attack on our homeland since Pearl Harbor! The level of disrespect she showed toward Mr. Cheney is shocking and undermines the very stability of our country. Obama's own National Intellgence Director, Admiral Dennis Blair, confirmed important results were obtained from these interrogations but his statements were removed from the official memo released by the Obama administration (see linked below).
At the end of the day, amidst all the name calling, blustering and put-downs, whether you are liberal or conservative, or in-between, the truth can never be characterized as hateful or bigoted or brushed off with innuendos.
So I ask Dave what facts can you provide to show I act out of hate?

Let's take a moment and review some recent posts from the blog of the director of CAIR-OK and Hamas shill, Razi Hashmi.
Primary, he just posts the work of others but it reveals a lot about Hasmi:
4/8/09: Losing the 'war on terror'
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton let slip last week that the Obama administration has finally abandoned the phrase "war on terror." Its absence had been noted by commentators. There was no directive, Clinton said, "it's just not being used.
..."Rather, the war on terror, as conceived of by the Bush administration, was targeted at a particular brand of terrorism -- that employed exclusively by Islamic entities. Which is why the enemy in this ideological conflict was gradually and systematically expanded to include not just the people who attacked the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, and the organizations that supported them, but an ever-widening conspiracy of disparate groups, such as Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the clerical regime in Iran, the Sunni insurgency in Iraq, the Kashmiri militants, the Taliban and any other organization that declared itself Muslim and employed terrorism as a tactic.
By lumping together the disparate forces, movements, armies, ideas and grievances of the greater Muslim world, from Morocco to Malaysia; by placing them in a single category ("enemy"), assigning them a single identity ("terrorist"); and by countering them with a single strategy (war), the Bush administration seemed to be making a blatant statement that the war on terror was, in fact, "a war against Islam."...
4/7/09: FBI Muslim outreach harmed by abusive tactics
A recent statement by a coalition of major national Islamic organizations cited a number of incidents in which the government unfairly targeted American mosques and Muslim groups and said concern over those abuses could result in the suspension of long-standing community outreach initiatives with the FBI....
Analysis: Obama visit to Turkey no afterthought
"...At a luncheon Sunday for leaders of the EU's 27 nations in Prague, he said the West should seek greater cooperation and closer ties with Islamic nations. Allowing Turkey to join the European Union would deepen that message, he contended.
France, Austria and other nations oppose Turkey's long-running efforts to join the EU. Others in the organization have urged Turkey to do more to guarantee minority rights, curb the powers of its military and pass new rights for trade unions....

4/4/09: Ignorance is the enemy by Razi Hashmi
...Why again this resurgence of fear and paranoia of Muslims and ignorance surrounding the head scarf? This irrational fear, also known as Islamophobia, is reminiscent of anti-Semitism and racism, and is truly unAmerican..."
4/1/09: An interfaith view: The FBI vs. the Constitution
"When I read about the arrest of Ahmad Niazi, it was déjà vu all over again. The FBI tries to strong-arm someone into being an "informant;" the intended informant declines; the agency retaliates. It was all strangely familiar. We went through it before in the US, and it was called COINTELPRO, the deliberate misuse of federal investigative agencies to harass people for their beliefs. After awhile it got worse, and we called it Watergate, and it became the biggest constitutional crisis in American history..."

I contacted the committee co-chair's office this afternoon and she confirmed HB 1645 was allowed to die within the committee for this session. The next session starts February 2010.
I wonder if pressure from national Islamic organizations stopped Oklahoma legislators from moving forward on this bill, which would have banned head-coverings in driver's license photo ID.
The way the law currently stands anyone can cover their hair as long as your hair line shows.

Highway Patrol Trooper Sheldon Robinson was honored as Trooper of the Year Thursday for stopping a man intent on killing people in a Burger King in South Tulsa on September 5, 2008.
"..."I just snuck up behind him from his blind spot and grabbed the gun, and the fight was on."
Eventually Jerome Denson was subdued and arrested. And if it weren't for Trooper Robinson a lot of people could have been killed. Denson was very determined.
"He was praying to Allah for help in carrying out his mission."
For his efforts, Robinson was named "Trooper of the Year".

An Oklahoma bill to ban all headcoverings for driver's license photo IDs has been assigned to the transportation committee in the Oklahoma Senate. Earlier, the bill passed overwhelmingly in the Oklahoma House of Representatives.
Now, three very controversial national Islamic organizations; the Islamic Society of North America, CAIR and the Islamic Circle of North American have asked Muslims and their partners on the left, across the nation, to call, write and e-mail the senators on this committee in order to prevent this bill's passage out of the committee. Additionally, the Islamic Human Rights Commission, an NGO with Special Consultative Status at the U.N., has also gotten involved! See my previous post on this here.
We need to pull together to counter their unfair political pressure! Although the agenda for the committee meeting tomorow doesn't list this bill, your help is needed to encourage your support for this bill. The chair, at his discretion and judgment, could let the bill die without bringing it up for a vote in the committee and this is what we don't want to happen.

Oklahoma HB 1645 would ban all head-coverings for driver's license photos. It is currently assigned to the Transportation Committee in the Senate after being passed overwhelmingly in the House of Representatives.
As the law stands now anyone can wear a head-covering for their photo as long as your hairline is not covered up, including a baseball cap worn backwards.
I'm OK with the law because it puts us all on the same page. Likewise, HB 1645 also puts us all on the same page; no head-coverings, period. However, for security reasons, I can see the point to have one's hair exposed for this photo ID.
What I really have a major problem with is that three national Islamic organizations, CAIR, the Islamic Society of North American and the Islamic Circle of North America, have stuck their noses into Oklahoma legislative business and issued a call to action to Muslims across the nation to flood this committee with phone calls and e-mails. See here, here and here.
CAIR also created a form letter with the ACLU for Oklahomans to use to try to defeat this bill and they have written U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
In addition to these national organizations, the UK's Islamic Human Right's Commission (IHRC) has joined the effort by posting the alert issued by the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund. IHRC is an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations! Sikhism is not Islam so I don't understand why the IHRC picked it up. Personally, I've never seen a Sikh is Oklahoma, but that's neither here or there.
Two of the three national Islamic organizations, the Islamic Society of North America and CAIR were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial. The Islamic Circle of North America is just as controversial (see below).
I take great offense to these Islamic organizations interfering in Oklahoma legislative affairs. Oklahomans and the rest of the country cannot just carry on with business as usual. It is not.
So in my own small to counter the efforts of these very controversial organizations, I will put out out an "Action Alert" early next week calling for national help to support the bill with all the information you will need.

The new Oklahoma Recovery and Reinvestment Web site is up and running.
The plans are that you will be able to see where the $2.6 billion dollars Oklahoma got from borrowed foreign money, (i.e., Communist China) will be spent.
A mere $31 million is targeted for us worker-bees while nearly half of the money is allotted to health and human services. Note in this section, as well as others, they did NOT break down the amount each category in the state got but rather list the total national appropriation. When you click on the more information links, most of them don't work.
Well, once they get the kinks worked out, and decide exactly where the money is to be spent, this ought to give the Oklahoma economy a good kick in the butt, don't you think?
In the meantime, I was told about a young mother that got laid-off, who now has FREE healthcare for themselves and their children (not cobra - too expensive even with Obama paying 65%), plus a $100 increase a month in their unemployment benefits above what it use to be (paid monthly up to a year now thanks to Obama) and free lunches for their kids. There are probably other free things they are getting, too, like food stamps and housing assistance, as well.
I ask you what real incentive does she have to go to work?

I found this on the blog of CAIR-OK Director and Hamas shill, Razi Hashmi:
"The Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) and the American Civil Liberties Union in Oklahoma (ACLU of OK) today called on Oklahomans who are concerned with constitutionally-protected religious freedoms to contact their state senators about proposed legislation that would ban religious headwear in driver’s license and other identification card photos.
Click here to listen to a radio interview with CAIR-OK and ACLU of OK representatives on the bill.
...IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED: (As always be POLITE and RESPECTFUL)
1. CONTACT YOUR STATE SENATORS and urge him or her to ensure that religious freedoms continue to be protected by the U.S. Constitution. This will ensure that Americans do not view Oklahomans as divisive and opposed to interfaith dialogue and the many contributions by its diverse citizens.
Contact Your Elected Officials:

- All Oklahomans should be concerned when there is a chance for violations of any religious liberty.
- If the purpose for such a bill is to clearly identify an individual, then one should be photographed wearing what one would wear every day regardless if it is headwear or glasses.
- The Department of Public Safety already has a policy for religious exemptions on headgear, and this bill is unnecessary.
- Oklahomans should not tolerate such blatant attacks on minority faiths.
- Ensure all Oklahomans’ First Amendment Rights are protected. Urge your State Senator to vote No on HB 1645. Request a religious and medical exemption to the bill.
3. CONTACT Oklahoma State Senators from the Transportation Committee to inform them about the HB 1645.

The Muskogee Public Library is featuring Dr. Don Betz in their Great Decisions series.
...“Dr. Betz has a loyal following here in Muskogee; many of our Great Decisions participants have attended since the first program, and they look forward to the programs in part because Dr. Betz has been a constant presenter,” Bryant said (Jan Bryant, head librarian)..."
Betz spoke on The United States and Rising Powers” on February 23rd. He will also speak on “Afghanistan/Pakistan;” on March 31 and on April 7th, Betz will speak on “Egypt in the 21st Century.”
Folks from Muskogee would probably like to know Dr. Don Betz was the keynote speaker for the controversial Islamic organization, CAIR-OK, at last year's annual fund-raising banquet in Oklahoma City. At the time, he was introduced as the chancellor at the University of Wisconsin even though he had been named the new President of NSU weeks before. The press release also stated he was the chancellor at the University of Wisconsin. No mention was made of his new appointment.
CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Terror Funding trial in 2007. Nihad Awad, who was also at the dinner, is pictured at the left speaking next to the Hezbollah flag in 2002.
So, it is not surprising that Dr. Betz would be discussing Middle East issues.
However, Dr. Betz could have an agenda.

The Islamic Society of North American has issued an Action Alert for Oklahoma about legislation that would require everyone to have their hair exposed for their driver's license picture. This bill, HB 1645, has already passed the House but it remains unclear how or if it will be handled in the Senate as the Democrat who had sponsored the bill backed off it.
On the ISNA website they urge Muslims, all across the country, to contact the two leaders in the Senate:
Now, I don't know about you but I find it unacceptable that such a controversial national organization is trying to sway what happens in Oklahoma.
From ISNA website:
"(March 9, 2009) The Islamic Society of North American is deeply concerned about the recent vote in Oklahoma lower house to ban the use of head cover for driver’s license photos, and believes that such move violate the civil rights of Muslims. The Oklahoma state Senate is considering a bill that has already passed the Oklahoma state House, HB1645, which is intended to amend the present law to prohibit Oklahomans from wearing head scarves or other coverings in driver’s license photographs. If passed, the law will violate the religious and constitutional rights of Oklahomans Muslim women who are required by their faith to cover their heads in public." ISNA
Just so you have a better picture about ISNA, it was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial for their relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood now or in the past.
One example, Jamal Badawi, a current board member of ISNA, is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
ISNA, however, denies any all all involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Shocka! A second article has been written within days of each other about CAIR Oklahoma by Oklahoma Assistant Attorney General William F. O'Brien.
Here we have an official with the Oklahoma Attorney General's office shilling for an Islamic organization designated an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding trial!
The Edmond Sun, for some reason, concealed from the public where Mr. O'Brien works and should be faulted for not providing full disclosure of this fact.
The message this sends is disturbing. No public official should be shilling for an organization that grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America and we should be outraged and insulted.
The latest article appeared today following CAIR Oklahoma's 3rd annual banquet.
Their keynote speaker was one-time Senator Paul Findley:
"...The former lawmaker lamented the amount of misunderstanding there is in this country about Muslims and their faith, and he urged the attendees to reach out to their neighbors of other religions in the state. During his tenure in Congress there were no members of that body who were Muslims, and he said that he was glad that he had lived to see the election of the first Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison of Minnesota, several years ago..." Edmond Sun
Senator Findley is anti-Israel, who warned in a February article in Alarab Online, a daily newspaper for the Middle East and Arab world, published in UK, that "a grave peril lies in the rise of extremist views within the U.S. Christian community."
When was the last time Christian extremists flew an airplane into tall buildings or strapped on a bomb, Mr. Findley? How utterly pathetic.
Oklahoma Muslims might have left a much better impression had they invited well-known Muslims such as Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, an Arizona physician, who warns against Islamism and its dangers to America, instead of their usual speakers who seem to be either affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, or are anti-American or anti-Israel.
Shame on CAIR and shame on Assistant Attorney General William F. O"Brien!

For the third time now, William F. O'Brien has written a puff piece about CAIR Oklahoma in the Edmond Sun. The Sun is located in Edmond, a suburb of Oklahoma City, for the non-Okies who read this post. The Sun states O'Brien is part of their editorial board.
But there's more, O'Brien is also an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Oklahoma which I had suspected for a few months and verified this week with the Edmond Sun! Why doesn't this paper simply provide full disclosure to its readers instead of just stating he is an attorney in Oklahoma City?
O'Brien's latest puffery for CAIR is an March 2nd article which starts off with a quote from the Hadith President Obama used at the National Prayer Breakfast in early February:
“None of you truly believe,” the Prophet Mohammad told his followers, “Until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself.”
This was used by the president to show that the concept of "the golden rule" exists with all great religions. The only problem here is this concept is actually NOT in the Quran, the primary source of Islam but rather can only be found two times in the volumes of secondary sources called the hadiths (the sayings and deeds of their prophet).
O'Brien's article goes on to discuss CAIR OK's director and Hamas shill Razi Hashmi who went to the inauguration along with Sheryl Siddiqui, a CAIR Oklahoma board member.
It's absolutely outrageous for an Assistant Attorney General to publicly shill for such a controversial organization that grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas infrastructure in America. CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror funding case where millions of dollars were funneled to the terrorist group Hamas, as a result.
The FBI recently severed ties with CAIR, specifically naming CAIR OK in a letter that was sent out by the FBI in Oklahoma City.
This is beyond disturbing.
ACTION ALERT: Contact the Oklahoma Attorney General Office, ask for Drew Edmondson, the Attorney General's office and express your outrage very politely that William O'Brien publicly promotes a very controversial Islamic organization which does not reflect well for this governmental organization entrusted to protect the public good.

Paul Harvey, a man many have enjoyed on the radio over the years passed away today.

"Paul Harvey, a radio legend who began his career in 1933 while he was still in high school, has died, ABC News reported Saturday.
Harvey began his radio career on KVOO-AM while in high school in his hometown of Tulsa, Okla. He was known for his unique, staccato-style delivery of news combined with commentary, which resonated with tens of millions of Americans for more than five decades.
Among the dozens of professional honors Harvey received, he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame and, in 1992, received the Paul White Award, the highest honor presented by RTNDA, the Radio-Television News Directors Association."

The madness countinues in Oklahoma since a law was passed requiring an ultra-sound prior to an abortion. A Tulsa abortion service sued the state of Oklahoma claiming the law, which has never gone into effect as a result, is unconstitutional. It also claims it would have to shut down its baby killing services.
Oklahoma County District Judge Vicki Robertson refused to dismiss the lawsuit on Thursday.
My God, can someone in authority please stand up for the unborn? Life is so very precious and God-giving. Can we, as a civilized, largely Christian society, not honor this more?
If a young woman wants to kill their own heart-beating baby, perhaps seeing this living miracle before their eyes prior to it being sucked out of their body might actually save a life or two.
Wouldn't that be a good thing?

I wonder what the odds are of this bill becoming law?
"Legislation to allow the deportation of illegal immigrants being held in state prisons has received preliminary approval.
The bill's author, Rep. Randy Terrill of Moore, says it would shift the financial burden of imprisoning illegal immigrant violators from the state to the federal government. Terrill says it will immediately save the state more than $3 million.
The bill would allow the Department of Corrections to send illegal immigrant inmates to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Only inmates incarcerated for nonviolent crimes who have served at least half their sentence would qualify.
There are 166 offenders in state prisons that would be immediately eligible for transfer.
The bill was approved Wednesday by the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Judiciary and Public Safety.
