It never ceases to amaze me who takes the side of CAIR, despite all the documented evidence against them. Yesterday, a Oklahoma building contractor, named Bob Gresham, wrote an opinion piece titled Point: Christians and Muslims in Oklahoma about an “I Don’t CAIR” conference held at Trinity Baptist in Yukon, OK. four weeks ago. I took issue with some of his inaccurate statements and allegations and commented but am quite sure the OkGazette will not publish it. They did allow Pastor Paul Blair the opportunity to write Counterpoint: ‘Proclaiming truth is not hateful’, but apparently no comments are being posted, which I always find troubling. Pastor Blair brought up something more broard than just CAIR that's worth repeating here:
He said "...None of the 57 Islamic nations offer freedom and equality as we enjoy here. For example, a Muslim is free to move to Oklahoma, carry his Quran openly and share his beliefs with others, but an Oklahoman would not be allowed to carry a Bible openly in Saudi Arabia and share his Christian faith with Muslims. In spite of this fact, American Christians are the ones accused of being intolerant..."
Not only is that true but in America there is an increasing intolerance of Christians, here and there, and we will all need to stand stronger together going forward. I think the time may be coming for a civil rights organization for Christians in the U.S.
Below are my comments to Mr. Gresham regarding his support of CAIR:
It's rather disturbing to see a local Oklahoma building contractor claim critics of CAIR use unsubstantiated accusations that end up somehow as an attack on all Muslims that leds to anger, bigotry, and "ultimately violence." Wow! CAIR and its supporters have to realize It's not hard for anyoneto verify the court cases that have referenced them and their reasons for doing so. Or read the FBI and the Department of Justice letters to members of Congress and others about CAIR. Or, how easy it is for us to review their own words and actions to see how they support terrorists and/or their supporters, work against the FBI and go after many public people who has criticized Islam. It's all out there.
Research shows the Crusades were largely in response to Islamic hegemonies. I suggest people spend some time to study the 1400 years of caliphate rule how they seized land and forced others to live under a religious supremacist authority. It's highly irresponsible for Gresham to claim that most of the Crusades were not related to Islamic aggression.
CAIR was founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic supremacist organization that was created after the last caliphate ended in 1924. Their branch in Palestine create Hamas. This has all been established in court. Did you know CAIR tried to get their name removed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case? They were NOT successful.
CAIR also has stood with convicted terrorists and their supporters such as Sami Al-Arian and others. IN 1991 and captured on video Al-Arian said: "The Koran is our constitution… Jihad is our path … Victory to Islam… Death to Israel… Revolution… revolution till the victory."
In 2008, Prof. Parvez Ahmed chairman of the board of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Dr. Agha Saeed national chair of the American Muslim Alliance (AMA) wrote a CAIR Op-Ed piece that claimed al-Arian was a political prisoner of the United States in SAMI AL-ARIAN MUST BE FREED even though he was found guilty for aiding the Palestian Islamic Jiahd!
Early last year, CAIR called upon Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to pressure the UAE for the release of Los Angeles Muslim Naji Hamdan who was held there on terror suspicion. Last fall, Hamden was convicted.
The FBI told the Edmond Sun in March:
“CAIR has been advised of the reasons behind our suspension of formal partnership,” the FBI stated. “These reasons include the fact that CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator in United States v. Holy Land Foundation and CAIR’s failure to answer our questions about a connection between their executives and Hamas. Until these questions are answered, the FBI does not consider CAIR an appropriate partner for formal liaison activities.”
The films shown at the "We Don't CAIR" event primarily used the words and actions of Islamists and jihadists. They didn't make it up, folks, but Gresham chose to blame those who showed these people. My God, the indefensible crime of using jihadists own words and actions. Shame on them!
Razi Hashmi, CAIR's local director recently has either bragged about CAIR or claimed critics are merely the lies of the right wing fringe or people are misinformed or he has completely refused to answer direct questions because he and CAIR want you to believe they are only a civil rights organization and they want you to continue to be ignorant of the facts that haunt them. They will use any tactic they can to divert attention away from these facts. It is dishonest.
Think about it this way. When the only response to critics CAIR and its supporters make is to call them names, like a child would do, you have to ask yourself why they can't simply respond in a more intelligent manner to direct questions.
Americans are smart people.
