Color of Change is a African American political organization. In a press release dated September 2nd, they touted that 11 more advertisers pulled their ads from the Glenn Beck Show who was the first to bring to the light of day President Obama's Green Job Czar, Van Jones' anti-white and anti-American views, which led to his resignation over the weekend. The Color of Change was co-founded by Van Jones, who still had Jones listed as co-founder until facts about Jones surfaced. Then they changed his status to inactive.
The latest list of advertisers are: Binder & Binder, Capital One, The Dannon Company, Discover, HSBC, ICAN Benefit Group Insurance, Infiniti, Jelmar (manufacturer of CLR All-Purpose Cleaner), Jordan McKenna Debt Counseling Network, Mercedes-Benz and Simplex Healthcare Airware Inc. (makers of Brez anti-snoring aids), Allergan (maker of Restasis), Ally Bank (a unit of GMAC Financial Services), Ancestry.com, Applebee’s, AT&T, Bank of America, Bell & Howell, Best Buy, Blaine Labs Inc., Broadview Security, Campbell Soup Company, ConAgra, Clorox, CVS, DirecTv, Ditech, The Elations Company, Experian (creator of FreeCreditReport.com), Farmers Insurance Group, GEICO, General Mills, Johnson & Johnson (makers of Tylenol), Kraft, Lawyers.com, Lowe’s, Men’s Wearhouse, NutriSystem, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance, RadioShack, Re-Bath, Regions Financial Corporation, Roche, Sam (Store and Move), SC Johnson, Sanofi-Aventis, Sargento, Sprint, State Farm Insurance, Traveler’s Insurance, Travelocity, The UPS Store, Verizon Wireless, Vonage and Wal-Mart.
From an earlier press release, we find that the largest retailer in America responded to their call: “Walmart [sic] today confirmed the retailer pulled ads from the Glenn Beck show on August 3rd,” said David Tovar, a spokesperson for Wal-Mart, in an email to ColorOfChange.org."
It's ironic, isn't it, that President Obama attended a Black Liberation Theology church which is based on an anti-white theme for twenty years! We've also heard the hateful bellowing of his former pastor that continue to this day. Van Jones, the co-founder of Color of Change, was a self-described black nationalist (hello? i.e., anti-white) and a communist activist and the White House actually hired him and praised him! Therefore, I find it particularly pungent that these advertisers caved to pressure from a "African American" separatist political organization started by one of president Obama's czars who was/is as anti-White and anti-American as Rev. Wright.
Do you see a reoccurring theme here? Others have as in this video of Charles Krauthammer:
I, for one, will not use their products or services again until I see their ads reappear back on Beck's show.

"Hundreds of people gathered at Snow Park in Oakland tonight to mourn, provide support for each other, and speak out against violent United States policies at home and abroad, which they say are the underlying reasons for unprecedented terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington DC.
"...The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City," said Van Jones, director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights" Emergency Action Against Racism and War on 9/13/01
Van Jones, a one-time self-described communist and Black Nationalist resigned Saturday night as President Obama's Green Job czar. After all the information about him surfaced we are left to wonder if he really shed his activist mentalities. I can't find where he renounced his communist philosophy, anywhere. Equally concerning are his anti-white statements which are evident if you took the time to reviews videos and interviews with him. Isn't it interesting, too, that Obama's pastor of 20 years Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Van Jones have similar anti-American and anti-white views? Hummm....
Jones called Republicans A**Ho*** in February. He signed a 9/11Truther statement in 2004 calling for an investigation into 9/11 that implied there was evidence the Bush administration was responsible. It sure didn't help there is an audio of Jones' anti-Israel and anti-American rantings where he stated "...This is now a global struggle against a U.S.-led security apparatus and military agenda that impacts people here, it impacts people around the world, and I think that we need to see our problems as linked..."
In 1999, he helped organize a protest for a convicted cop-killer and a one-time Black Panther, Mumia Abu-Jamal!
Presidential Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett stated they had their eyes on Jones since his days as an activist in Oakland as a talent they wanted on their team! Jones' resignation does not, in any way, negate Jarrett's worrisome endorsement of him (near end of video). It only raises more questions about Obama's judgment and that of his team which includes the hiring of two other czars, one of which is Carol Browner who is still listed as a Member of Socialist International Commission for a Sustainable World Society (towards bottom of page) and FCC's Diversity Chief and General Counsel, Mark Lloyd, a former senior fellow at the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, who wants to change the structure and authority of the FCC that will silence some of the conservative voices over the air.
David Axelrod said on Meet the Press that the political environment is rough and that these things get magnified. Magnified? Are you kidding me?
Leftist shill NBC Washington reported in an article titled Obama Aide Van Jones Resigns After GOP Attacks "...In his resignation statement, Jones summed up GOP attacks against a separate charge involving his name's appearance on a petition connected to the Sept. 11 tragedy as a "smear campaign" designed to make support for him waver.
"They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide," Jones said in the statement.
Lies? Attacks? Smears? Oh my! Pure leftist name-calling rhetoric. Oh, and let's not forget Howard Dean, former Democratic National Committee chair, who cried similar sentiments when he said Jones was "brought down" by Republicans.
Let's be honest here. Jones own words and actions brought him down! The truth about him brought him down. This is clearly a teachable moment about taking responsibility for own's one actions. Yet, the left continues to always blame the Republicans through their media shills.

The video below is believed to be from Freedom Fighter Music (archived copy) - a label created by Van Jones's Ella Baker Center for Human Rights. Warning! This video may be disturbing to the average American citizen when they hear the anti-American rhertoric and foul language. At the 3.50 mark Van Jones, Barack Obama's Green Job czar speaks out for Palestine: "...This is now a global struggle against a U.S.-led security apparatus and military agenda that impacts people here, it impacts people around the world, and I think that we need to see our problems as linked.":
The video was narrated by convicted cop-killer and Black Panther activist Mumia Abu Jamal.
It is astonishing and sickening to believe Jones was actually hired by the White House but his view of America and whites is so in-line with President Obama's pastor of 20 years!
Thanks to Gateway Pundits, Venum Serum and the Weekly Standard for their work to bring this information to the public.
Notice, too, that it appears all the left does in reply is to jump up and down and lash out with hateful names, like race baiter, child rapist and murderer, here, here, here and here.
Who is the real race baiter here?

Private prisons are "this new Jim Crow." Van Jones
More disturbing words from Van Jones who claimed at the 2007 National Conference for Media Reform that there are hugh slaves ships called private prisons being created...we have built a large progressive movement on line.
Near the end he says he want Davey D on the FCC.
BTW, have you noticed that all the left does is to blame people for bringing to our attention this man's anti-white, anti-capitalism words which, have you noticed, somehow fit in with President Obama's long time pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright views of America.

"Why is it important that we listen to the president and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important?
This is a question that can be found on the Department of Education resource guide for preK to 6th grade students as preparation for President Obama's speech next Tuesday. This appears to be the planting of a seed to get students to become obedient followers of their political leaders. Shouldn't the president be telling their kids to listen to their parents? It would have been useful had they added how the election process works in that every few years voters elect men and women to represent their wishes at the local state and national level and so on. These young kids should fully understand these people work for us.
Other questions: During the speech teachers should ask students themselves what the president trying to tell me? What is the president asking me to do?
After the speech students can reflect by answering the following questions; What specific job is he asking me to do? Is he asking anything of anyone else? Teachers? Principals? Parents? The American people?
Planting little seeds in young impressionable minds that they should listen to their political leaders because what they say is important appears to be designed to get the youngest generation ready for obedience when they grow up.
This is the revised guide, folks, and its repugnant! Elected officials are suppose to work for us and children should not be told this type of propaganda.

911Truth.org is a conspiracy theorist group that believes the U.S. government was responsible for the terror attacks on 9/11/01. They issued a 9/11 Truth Statement in 2004 that lists Van Jones as the 46th person who questioned the government's role in 9/11. Here's a January 22 2005 archived copy(wayback.org) just in case the current page somehow disappears from the Internet:
An excerpt from the statement:
An alliance of 100 prominent Americans and 40 family members of those killed on 9/11 today announced the release of the 911 Truth Statement, a call for immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur.Focusing on twelve questions, the Statement highlights areas of incriminating evidence that were either inadequately explored or ignored by the Kean Commission, ranging from insider trading and hijacker funding to foreign government forewarnings and inactive defenses around the Pentagon. The Statement asks for four actions: an immediate investigation by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, Congressional hearings, media analysis, and the formation of a truly independent citizens-based inquiry..."
Note: Van Jones is the 47th name listed on the archived page and is the 46th name on the current page. Apparently, someones name has been removed.
Mr. Jones has some explaining to do about the significance of his name being listed on this conspiracy theorist statement, don't you think?
Jones was introduced by Presidential Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett (near end of video) as someone who they have been watching since he first started out in Oakland, CA. Was that around the time this man was a self-described black nationalist activist and communist in California, or just after?
Update 9/4/09: Jones denied he was a 9/11 Truther but gave no explanation why his name had been on their truth statement since 2004. Reports say he didn't know what he signed. However, the Washington Times stated: "Mike Berger, a spokesman for 911Truth.org, told the Washington Times over the phone that all of the signers had been verified by their group. He said 9/11Truth.org board members spoke with each person on the list by phone or through email to individually confirm they had added their name to that list.” “I think in most cases they spoke to them personally,” he added. “No one’s name was put on that list without them knowing it.”
Aside from this, there is no statement or words that I've heard coming directly from Van Jones assuring us that he is not a communist. Why didn't the White House address this as well?
This man should not be at the White House and this whole thing reflects poorly on the current administration.
Update 1:19 PM CT: ABC News reports the White House stopped short of saying Jones has the president's confidence but he continues to have his ear serving as his green job czar.
Update 1:26 P.M. CT: Here is a link to an archived page dated January 11, 2002 from Reese.com (I know nothing about this website) showing Van Jones participated on the organizing committee in a San Francisco Truth March to Senator Diane Feinstin office which predates his signing the Truther's Statement alleging 9/11 was an inside job. The direct link about this march is here and all archived pages of this URL address are here. The committee claimed the Bush administration institutionalized racial profiling and is secretly rounding up thousands of Arab Americans and other people of Middle Eastern background.
Remember Valerie Jarrett is one of, if not, the closest advisor to the president who said they had their eye's on him for a long time.

Van Jones, is President Obama's Special Advisor for Green Jobs. He's the co-founder of Color of Change, an organization that seeks to strengthen the black voice in politics. Color of Change is working hard to get advertisers to dump the Glenn Beck show for being so critical of President Obama, specifically his opinion that he thought Obama was anti-white!
So let me make sure I've got this right. The organization that is working to destroy the career of Glenn Beck, who is on Fox News, was co-founded by the president's Green Job Advisor!
Somehow, that doesn't seem quite right, does it?
Color of Change states on their about page Jones has been inactive there in "recent years". However, the last archived page taken November 11, 2007 shows he was listed as active. Their "recent years" statement could be a stretch. It would be helpful to have the archived pages for 2008, but they are not available, at the moment. Then there is an article from SFGate.com dated May 27, 2008 which referred to Jones as co-founder of Color of Change. No mention was made he was no longer involved with the group. That was just last year.
Over at Little Green Footballs, a once conservative blog that has gone anti-right in recent months, Charles Johnson wrote on Tuesday that more advertisers drop Beck and labeled it with the following tags; Glenn Beck, Kooks, Far Right, Extremism, Fox News, Advertising, Boycott. Kooks? Extremism? On Monday, he wrote Glenn Beck's Continuing Problem with Idiocy. Idiocy? Does Beck act silly sometimes, even goofy? I would say, yes, but have you actually researched what he is telling you? I'm not talking about his opinions here which are subjective and don't really matter. Is he inaccurate on what he tells you about his research? That's the real issue here. So, I say to those of you who want to demonize him and destroy his career - prove him wrong. Start a website, then list all the proof sources that back up each and every falsehoods told by Glenn Beck. Show us your facts so we can make up our own minds, thank you. Prior to LFG recent rants against Beck since, I guess, he joined Fox News, he wrote an article in 2006 about Beck titled Glenn Beck: The Extremist Agenda where he said his show was worthwhile to watch. He was on CNN Headline News then.
Johnson didn't mentioned that Van Jones was once a self-described black nationalist and a communist, according to an East Bay Express article and cover story written by Eliza Strickland on November 2, 2005 titled "The New Face of Environmentalism" (update 9/1/09 the original article didn't open but I do have a saved copy). East Bay Express, also reposted it here and then blasted Glenn Beck (they call him a "Fox News Whack Job") for informing viewers what Jones said! Talk about dishonesty. Nowhere can I find that Jones' renounced communism so this is hanging out there, big time.
And since when did it become wrong to look into the backgrounds of people who were hand-picked by President Obama or his staff?
Excerpts from The New Face of Environmentalism:
Picture: Van Jones as a radical activist (source: East Bay Express)
"...Jones came from rural Tennessee, by way of Yale Law School. The self-described former "rowdy black nationalist" is best known as founder of the Ella Baker Center, an Oakland-based nonprofit group with roots firmly grounded in criminal-justice issues that affect low-income people of color....He arrived at Yale Law School wearing combat boots and carrying a Black Panther bookbag, an angry black separatist among a sea of clean-cut students dreaming of Supreme Court clerkships."
...Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, "I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. "I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."
..."One of my big heroes is Malcolm X, not because I agree with Malcolm, but because he wasn't afraid to change in public," he said. (z: What is that suppose to mean? It's real clear what X was all about)..."
Is this article accurate? Did you notice they quoted the man? His reference to jail had to do with his arrest following the Rodney King verdict but later he won a settlement for being arrested wrongly, as I understand it.
The Apollo Alliance, mentioned above, is a project of the Tides Center, whose parent is the Tides Foundation, funded mostly by wealthy left progressives.
Jones also was the founder or was involved with a neo-Marxist group called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM, according to Wikipedia (see Origins; update 9/1/09 Wikipeida removed the statement Jones was the founder). The East Bay article above discussed Jones involvement with STORM and its Marxist ideology which was started in 1994 when he was 26. STORM's 2004 summation report put together after they disbanded lists the pages where their Marxist ideology is laid out (page 4) but when you go to the pages where this ideology should be we find "Romantic Relationships between Revolutionaries" instead (Download STORMSummation which I obtained from leftspot.com (here's an archived copy from this website should it not work). Their "Points of Unity" are listed on page 31 and 32, which include marxism, communism, the defeat of capitalism and global white supremacy. Their response to 9/11 leveled anger at the U.S. government and rely on global justice because U.S. Imperialism is the problem (page 28 and 29). It quoted Amilcar Cabral, a Black African Revolutionary and Marxist, on page 3. In an article titled I'm Bad, I'm Slick dated April 2008 we read Jones named his son Cabral (see below). What a coincidence! But, it's unclear if Van Jones took part in STORM's summation report.
Jones, was interviewed for The Witness in 2002 in an article titled Addiction to Punishment: Challenging America's Incarceration Industry. Jones talked about getting burned-out after being "involved in all sorts of politics of confrontation and outrage". He spent two weeks at a retreat called Windcall that supports progressive social justice leaders (didn't know there was such a thing, did you?). Jones said he just cried and tried to get his head together there. He also went to church more and sought counseling following his stay. Common Counsel Foundationis Windcall's fiscal sponsor. Notice that ACORN is involved on the board of this organization that uses philanthropic resources for progressive social movements. So progressive activists have a retreat provided to them free of charge when they get burned out? How thoughtful.
It's quite possible Jones was a communist and is not one now. But, he spoke ill of capitalism as late as February of 2009 (video) and how green jobs are just the tip of the iceberg to a new social order. The White House is just ignoring this hoping it will blow over. I don't know how long they can stay silent with continued public and elected officials outcry. It seems to me, the left response is very weak calling Beck and others whacko, nutjobs, rightwingers and so on for brining Jones background to the public eye. This includes turncoat Charles Johnson.
Update 9/2/09: Van Jones called Republicans A** Ho***! (notice his dig about capitalism near the end of the video)
Update 9/3/09: Is President Obama's green job czar, Van Jones, a 9/11 Truther?
Update 9/4/09: Senator seeks congressional hearings on Van Jones
Update 9/5/09:
Van Jones at Media Reform convention in 2007: You don't have to call somebody the n-word if you can call them a felon." Private prisons are "this new Jim Crow." Van Jones
Is Van Jones is part of a global effort against America and Israel? Warning this audio/video may be disturbing to some.
Emergency Action Against Racism and War (Oakland): "...A recurring theme of the speakers was the brutal violence committed by or supported by the United States government on a daily basis. "The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City," said Van Jones, director of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, who also warned against forthcoming violence by the Bush Administration. "The US cannot bomb its way out of this one. Safety at home requires justice abroad." (9/13/01)

Mark Lloyd is the new FCC Chief Diversity Officer and Associate General Counsel for the Obama administration. His picture here is from a post at civilrights.org which states he is a staff member of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights Education Fund. This was dated July 29, 2009. Their Executive Committee includes leaders of AARP, Asian American Justice Center, ACLU, AFL/CIO, and SEIU to name a few. So, I guess, he is a civil rights activist.
You may want to pay serious attention to what he does going forward to see, if or how, his actions might affect free speech in America. For example, he is one of a number of people who co-authored a report in 2007 titled, “The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio,” which seeks to change the structure of the media. In a follow-up article, Lloyd wrote the report did not call for a return to the Fairness Doctrine but wants more local ownership. He also said; "We trace the rise and influence of Rush and other conservative radio hosts to relaxed ownership rules and other pro-big business regulation that destroyed localism..."
In a speech before the lefist National Conference for Media Reform last year he highlighted Rwanda and Venezula for their ability to make social change through state run media (see below for video). Talk about disturbing.
Is Lloyd in a position of power to actually make sweeping leftist changes to the FCC?
Update 8/27/09: CNSNews wrote about his 2006 book Prologue to a Farce: Communications and Democracy in America
” ....Lloyd also said that public broadcasting should be funded through new license fees charged to the nation’s private radio and television broadcasters, and that new regulatory fees should be used to fund eight new regional FCC offices. These offices would be responsible for monitoring political advertising and commentary, children’s educational programs, number of commercials, and content ratings of the programs...Frequently referencing one of his heroes, left-wing activist Saul Alinsky, Lloyd claims in his book that the history of American communications policy has been one of continued corporate control of every form of communication from the telegraph to the Internet...Government, Lloyd said in his book, is the “only” institution that can manage the communications of the public, arguing that Washington must “ensure” that everyone has an equal ability to communicate..."
The government is the only institution that can manage the communication of the public? Are you kidding me? I haven't read this book yet but the author of the article apparently did. It's possible his book could be at your local library so you can read it for yourself.
Update 8/28/09: In a 1998 Essay, Lloyd said the Republican communication policy hurts minorities.
Update 12/15/09: FCC Diversity Officer Lloyd Vociferously Denies Things He’s Written and Said on Tape

At the confirmation hearing yesterday for the next secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, who will be responsible for foreign policy under President Obama, the weather was brought up as a security threat to foreign policy!
First, let's take note that "global warming" is often being replaced by the term "climate change" because the cold weather in 2008 was recorded as the coldest since the turn of the 21st century!
"You Mr. Chairman [Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.] were among the very first in a growing chorus from both parties to recognize that climate change is an unambiguous security threat,” Clinton said. “At the extreme it threatens our very existence. But well before that point, it could well incite new wars of an old kind over basic resources – like food, water and arable land.”
Clinton stated the UN Climate Change (UNFCCC) conference will be the next chance for the United States to ratify a climate change treaty like the Kyoto Protocol. Previously, this was rejected by the U.S. Senate 95-0 in 1997.
Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., the incoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations committee, called the weather a “national security threat.”
In February 2008, Kerry blamed tornadoes on global warming and warned there would be more to come if global warming weren’t addressed."
My hat goes off to Oklahomans who gave John McCain his largest win in the presidential election. Can you see why?
It could be we are a tad-bit smarter than the average voter.

The Washington Times has reported President-elect Barack Obama's selection for "Climate Czar" is a member of Socialist International in her leadership role at the Commission for Sustainable World Society (see pdf file of saved webpage below dated 1/5/09). This group apparently calls for rich countries to shrink their economies in order to combat climate change, according to Wikipedia.
Now, of course, the commission has removed her named. Gee, do they think we are that stupid?
Apparently so.
By the way, did you know Denmark has built thousands of windmills and has not been able to reduce the need for one power plant (midway in the article).
If Obama gets his "green" goals advanced in America prepare to pay double or triple for electricity and gas soon while he spends our country into massive unsustainable debt, like you never seen before.
Then, poof, we will collapse and the Saudi's will step in...

William Ayers book "Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism" was written in 1974. Many don't know that it was republished together with two other Weather Underground books as shown here in 2006.
The book is a frightening insight into the mind of these former domestic terrorists who despise our country and, shockingly, are now teaching some of our college age children.
One of the people Ayers dedicated his book when it was first published was Robert F. Kennedy's killer, Shiran Shiran, whom he called a U.S. political prisoner.
One reviewer, Ron Jacobs said in 2004: "...Above all, "Prairie Fire -- was a call to organize. Once again identifying the enemy of the world's peoples as US imperialism, Weather stated their goal was to "attack imperialism's ability to exploit and wage war", and eventually build a socialist society in the US. To begin this process, Weather reiterated its original thesis that the empire must be weakened and at least partially destroyed. According to this thesis, the weakest links in the imperialist chain were the colonies. For that reason, claimed Weather (as they always had), it was the liberation of the third world that held the key to eventual liberation of the mother country (the United States)."
The last sentence of this review appears to be similar to the book titled "The Post American World" that was read by Barack Obama. How interesting.
Did you know the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee, a spin-off of the Weather Underground, exists today in Chicago? It seeks to defeat U.S. imperialism and opposes White Supremacy. WOW. They appear to share similar views of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the pastor of the church where Barack Obama went for twenty years. TWENTY YEARS.
Are you beginning to see the connection between Ayers and Barack Obama a little clearer or am I going crazy here?
Update 11/01/08: Little Green Footballs has Prairie Fire in PDF form.
"...We are a guerrilla organization. We are communist women and men, underground in the United States for more than four years" We are deeply affected by the historic events of our time in the struggle against US imperialism. Our intention is to disrupt the empire ... to incapacitate it, to put pressure on the cracks, to make it hard to carry out its bloody functioning against the people of the world, to join the world struggle, to attack from the inside..."

What a clever and humorous way Barack Obama handled accusations of his possible socialistic leanings by John McCain. It was so charming and cute! But, it could be a mistake to let Obama's charm keep you from looking into this more.
However, Barack Obama wrote in his book Dreams that he was drawn to Marxists professors during his college days. Marxism is left of Socialism, in case you a wondering.
He wrote about it:
"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."
In his own words

Scan over other posts about Obama's interesting connections to socialism here. At this point, we really don't know if Obama favors soclialism or not.

I found a video on Gateway Pundit where Barack Obama praised one-time New Party member Danny Davis in 2004. New Party has been described as a socialists/Marxist type organization.
Also according to Gateway, the New Party, ACORN and Project Vote shared the same address in New York. The New Party's current website list this address.
There is more information you can review at Gateway about the New Party and Barack Obama. My posts about Obama's possible socialist/Marxist-leanings prompted me to create a new category called Socialism and Marxism where these posts can be reviewed.
Lastly, there's an archived document found by zTruth at youdecide2008 which lists Danny Davis and Barack Obama as New Party members in the New Party News published by New Party Committee in 1996.
In addition, another archived page for New Ground Issue 47, a publication of the Chicago Democratic Socialists of America states that Barack Obama and Danny Davis attended a New Party membership meeting and Obama asked NPers to join his task forces on Voter Education and Registration!
"...All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration...."
Barack Obama's Fight the Smears page claims the New Party endorsement was nothing since Obama ran unopposed which appears to conflict with the documents linked to above.
Obama's statement may also conflict with an archived New Party page which states an endorsed candidate had to sign a pledge to have at least one New Party member on the candidate's campaign committee, be publicly identified with the New Party and join the party as a dues-paying New Party member. A big caveat here is the archived page is dated in 1999 (see web address) and is not the year of Obama's endorsement and likely membership with the New Party, which was 1996. If only we could find an archived page of this contract from 1996, if it exists.

This story, along with several others, appear to be serious red-flags for Americans about how an Obama administration could stop hard questions on tough issues or conduct in the future. I wonder, though, if anyone is paying attention.
In Florida, WFTV's Barbara West interviewed VP candidate Joe Biden. She didn't ask him the normal soft-ball questions the left-leaning media had been asking him or Barack Obama. Instead, she asked a tough question relating to Obama's "spread the wealth" statement and Marxism. And guess what? It made the Obama team so mad they banned the TV station from future interviews!
Anytime, a candidate or official believes they are above tough questions, it's most worrisome. My hat goes off to this TV station and reporter Barbara West for not doing what most of the national media does.
The Obama camp retaliates:
"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign, according to the Sentinel.
Watch the interview:
Notice Biden said in the video they didn't pay ACORN one cent - however read the following:
"U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat's campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.
An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in "get-out-the-vote" projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary..." There's a radio interview with William Ayers from 2002 that has surfaced. Seven days later he was on a panel with Barack Obama. In the interview, he told the listening audience how open and forthcoming he has always been about his ideology which is part-anarchist and part-Marxist - and part terrorist, I might add.
In turns my stomach to think this man teaches college students but it also give us a good indication that Barack Obama was probably well-aware of his views.
Isn't it amazing that Ayers is in sync with the socialist/Marxist-leaning of the "New Party" of which Barack Obama was affiliated? Is this an ideological link between the two? USA Today reported on November 16, 1992 that the new party was “self-described [as] ‘socialist democratic.’(1)
And there's more on the video. In 2004, Ayers said on CSPAN that "white supremacy" is the dagger in the heart of American democracy which echos exactly the Black Liberation Theology of Barack Obama's friend and pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who led the congregation at Obama's church home of twenty years with this theology as the basis of their Christianity. Is this another link of shared ideology that may exist between Obama and Ayers? And get this - Ayers is about to release a new book. The topic? White supremacy. Amazing timing.
One could accurately argue these and other worrisome associations like Rashid Khalidi, Edward Said, Ali Abuniman, Khalid Mansour, Mohammed Ali-Khan, and Raila Odinga only ended so Obama could pander for votes as he seeks the presidency and were downplayed to the extreme or denied by Obama, himself.
No amount of Obama's "I'm going to save you" rhetoric spoken in-between his movie-star smile, can overcome these associations, if you have any sense about you.
Right now, Barack Obama's goal is to appeal to the masses and many have commented about his move to the center. But if the Democrats win big in November and control the Congress to a greater degree than they do now, especially in the Senate, we will likely see President Obama move back towards what is likely his far-left political ideology.
It now makes more sense why Barack Obama wants to end the U.S. embargo against communist Cuba.

Here's one worst case scenario under a President Obama administration played out in a video. Obviously, the left would take deep offense and say this is a smear job.
But you should know Obama's name is on a 1996 archived newsletter as a member for the "New Party" which has been described as a Marxist leaning organization in Chicago!
Then we have the questionable friends and associations of Barack Obama.
But yet the unprecedented rise in oil prices and the economic meltdown during the last months of this campaign cycle add fuel to the "Obama will save you" fire that's sweeping the nation.
Frankly, it scares me.

The New Party is apparently a far, far-left leaning, Marxist-type organization. Today, I read on Political Drunk With Power about a worrisome tie Barack Obama may have had with this organization.
Here's a short version from what I read:
From DiscovertheNet: "...the New Party was a Marxist political coalition whose objective was to endorse and elect leftist public officials -- most often Democrats. The New Party’s short-term objective was to move the Democratic Party leftward, thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist third party.
Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America and the militant organization ACORN (Z: an organization Obama represented in a lawsuit). The party’s Chicago chapter also included a large contingent from the Committees of Correspondence, a Marxist coalition of former Maoists, Trotskyists, and Communist Party USA members..."
The New Party about page in 1997 states there needs to be a democratic revolution of the people.
Knowing nothing about Marxism, I went to the web and found it refers to the exploitation of an entire segment or class of society by another, according to Wikipedia. Carl Marx saw it as being an inherent feature and key element of capitalism and free markets.
Guess who was a New Party member according to an archived page of their 1996 newsletter which I confirmed exists at archive.org?
Barack Obama's "Fight the Smear" page has nothing on the New Party today (update 10/27/08 the Obama team has now added a denial and then attacks the messenger but never explains the archived page listing his name as a member of the New Party and its supposed ties to ACORN or that Marxist Carl Davidson said he met Obama through this party)
Update 8:40 PM CT: On a blog called New Zeal there's information about a man name Carl Davidson who was/is an active Marxist. This January 2008 post discussed Davidson and Barack Obama:
In the mid '90s Davidson played a key role in the Chicago branch of the New Party.
This was a Marxist led poltical coalition designed to endorse and elect leftist public officials. The bulk of its members came from CoC, the equally radical Democratic Socialists of America and the US's largest militant left grass-roots organisation, ACORN.
It was through the New Party that Carl Davidson first met the aspiring Illinois State Senator, Barack Obama.
Davidson was an ardent supporter of Obama for several years and helped organise the famous peace rally in Chicago in where Obama pinned his colours to the anti-Iraq war cause.

In an in-depth article called "Obama's Communist Mentor" Accuracy in the Media give us more insight about Barack Obama. An astute blogger by the name of Trevor Loudon believes the childhood mentor called "Frank" in Obama's autobiography "Dreams of My Father" was, in fact, a likely communist, by the name of Frank Marshall Davis. In his March 2007 post titled Barack Obama's Marxist Mentor, Loudon referenced a speech given by Professor Gerald Horne called Rethinking the History and Future of the Communist Party which mentioned Davis and Obama:
...In any case, deploring these convictions in Hawaii was an African-American poet and journalist by the name of Frank Marshall Davis, who was certainly in the orbit of the CP [communist party] – if not a member – and who was born in Kansas and spent a good deal of his adult life in Chicago, before decamping to Honolulu in 1948 at the suggestion of his good friend Paul Robeson.
Eventually, he befriended another family – a Euro-American family – that had migrated to Honolulu from Kansas and a young woman from this family eventually had a child with a young student from Kenya East Africa who goes by the name of Barack Obama, who retracing the steps of Davis eventually decamped to Chicago.
Treavor ended his post by saying according to African American Review of Summer/Fall 2003, "In Davis's case, his political commitments led him to join the American Communist Party during the middle of World War II--even though he never publicly admitted his Party membership."
This could fit in with the whole package of Obama but it requires more scrutiny. The problem is, the media will probably not touch it, investigate it or report on it. Does it matter anyway? Obama was very young back then and so what if he mentioned him in his book? In any event, it should be explored more because it could fit a pattern - like when Obama campaigned for socialist Bernie Sanders. Watch a video of Obama campaigning for Senator Bernie Sanders here. Sanders is the first self-described socialist to be elected to the U.S. Senate.
The lack of quality, thorough reporting taking place in America today is stunning. But, this is why many have become bloggers. In the case of Obama, we have to piece together, on our own, who he really is and what he stands for which I attempt to do in The Audacity of Separatism.
