In late August, Pew Research released a report on Muslims in America. It's happily titled Muslim Americans: No Signs of Growth in Alienation or Support for Extremism which gives the impression that all is well. Upon further review, I found, though, there's significantly higher support for Islamic extremism among the black Muslims polled! 40% of native-born black Muslim Americans reported they knew there was a great deal and/or a fair amount of extremist support in their communities compared to 20% of all U.S. Muslims, which is bad enough having 1 in 5 Muslims know of this kind of support in America. Support for suicide bombings and for al Qaeda was doubled for the native-born black Muslims than for all U.S. Muslims. Why? Something appears to be very wrong.
